Luxury hotel! For those who need unbridled fun, this hotel is not suitable. Here rest respectable and calm. There are no watersports activities on the beach simply because everyone does not like it and may disturb other guests. Saw a couple of reviews above, but, guys, you read in advance where you eat. To each his own.

Accommodation is for every taste - and private villas and suites in small buildings with ocean views. Food and service, spa, kids club are just great.

What a beautiful resort!!! Im staying in the po villa, no need to even leave my room!!! Each villa comes with its own golf cart to get you around the property. Fabulous dining options and the staff is spectacular!!!

We arrived at 3pm for check-in today 10/30/2020 for last name Walley
. The room was not ready because they were cleaning it. The room was finally ready at 5pm, 2 hours late.

Very poor first impression. I sent management emails and text messages, which is their primary line of communication, but messages do not arrive and go unanswered. I cannot recommend this resort to anyone since management does not stand by their word and policies, and when they are broken does not offer remedies to make things right.

My husband and I just eloped at the Eden Roc Cap Cana and are now on our mini moon at the hotel. This is our first visit to the hotel. In a very short time (less than 3 weeks), the Eden Roc team, led by Mareike, planned an extraordinary, dreamy intimate wedding for four people. It s amazing what can be done in a short time period during a pandemic when you have a world class team on your side. Mareike is the wedding coordinator of your dreams. She has an exceptional eye for detail and is extremely well organized and thorough. She plans each detail beautifully and lovingly as if the event were for her dearest friends. The food and restaurant team at Eden Roc are top notch. The food will appeal to people who have dined at foodie hotspots such as NYC, St. Tropez, Capri, and Miami. I had the best hamachi crudo and prawn risotto at our wedding. My German husband enjoyed the beef tenderloin. My Dominican father had a wonderful coconut fish special. My American mother enjoyed the tagliatelle. We had a delicious selection of hors d oevres beforehand. Their tres leches with dulce de leche is awesome. The beach was gorgeous- no seaweed. The grounds are very well kept. We have been extremely careful during quarantine and had barely left our homes. We were very nervous about taking this trip early on in reopening but Eden Roc has put us at ease. They are running a tight ship with respect to virus prevention measures. Masks are worn by all staff at all times. Hygiene and cleanliness is impeccable. Social distancing has been maintained. I am so happy we were able to have a marvelous wedding despite the pandemic. We also feel at peace with the way in which it was done during the pandemic. We will be forever thankful for the Eden Roc team.

Gorgeous views and great location. Very poor management and concierge. If the wait staff was running the place we would come back twice a year! Visiting such a stunning place can become exhausting when you have to argue with people daily, made to prove your dinner reservations they repeatedly lost and all the other unnecessary drama. We would of loved to of had a smoother time because it is so close to us here in FL and easy to get to. It only got 4 stars because the views really are amazing, and Milton, Juan and Rosie along with all the waiters were very genuine and friendly.

If I could rate this resort's customer service, I would. We have been trying to get a hold of a manager for the past week without success. The resort is holding on to $32K of unused funds since 2020, yet fail to reply to any of my emails. Very poor approach with being such a "high-end" property.

We booked our vacations at this hotel with the idea of having the most relaxing experience, we waited for months to get here and enjoy ourselves. Once we were here, everything we planned and dreamed went to hell. It was the most stressful vacations I had experienced. Just bad since the first minute we got there and until the time we checked out. Nobody at this hotel is willing to help, they only want your money.

The property is really very nice the service is probably one of the best we experienced, really very very good.
I gave 3 stars because in first place, on my humble opinion, food is absolutely not at the level of this hotel. We stayed 5 nights and every breakfast was exactly the same... I guess that a little fantasy here would help. But also quality wise it was not really so good, danish were not fresh and even bread looked old.
Even worst for restaurant Palapa: extremely expensive for probably one of the worse meal we had in that area.
Another big problem are seaweeds, the sea is really full of them and if I would have read the comments before going, I would have noticed that it was not "bad luck" but really a recurring problem over the years.

Just a stunning resort. One of the prettier beaches we saw in the DR (no seaweed) and gorgeously landscaped grounds and pools. Have a quick swim in the ocean after you ve ordered lunch at the waterfront La Palapa then enjoy sushi (the crispy rice tuna is also amazing) and a glass of rose. The life! Feels very safe as they are very precautious re: covid.

This is the worst service I got in a luxury hotel ...

This is the worst service I got in a luxury hotel in all my life and I just got 50.... the toilet are broken, the fridge is broken, the Jacuzzi doesn't work, there is only 5min of hot water and after... only cold. I complained but nothing was done. And the worst: I checked out and later on on the day they called me to say they just found an unpaid bill of 150$ ???? I left, how can I check ???? Just don't go there ! 1300$ a night with broken toilet.... this is a luxury place managed like a motel.

There is no words to describe how bad this place is, the only good thing? The beach and the views. The staff is so bad and lacking of training that they can follow simple instructions so this hotel doesn't have the service necessary to be able to be called a "Luxury" resort.. Is just simple BAD.

My husband and I were excited to come to Eden Roc ...

My husband and I were excited to come to Eden Roc as the photos looked beautiful. We got VIP service through the airport ($250) which was amazing because it expedited the process - they picked us up on the tarmac and sped us through security. This is where the amazing aspect ended. The hotel car did not show up - we had to call them and wait with our bags. We arrived at the hotel at 2.30pm (they knew our flight info prior) and our room was not ready, so they pushed us to have lunch at the restaurant. Fine, OK. The prices are astronomical ($24 for a glass of wine, and I live in NYC). We went out to dinner at Medeterraneo. Blah food. Not great. Fast forward - did not eat or drink anything until we got to the hotel that day (6am flight)... Wake up the next morning with crazy food poisoning. Sick and unable to walk, vomiting you get the picture. Tell the hotel. They do nothing about it. Finally feel able to walk again after 2 days. The hotel does not so much as give us a refund on the dinner that ruined my trip. Disgusting and in bad taste. 6 days later, I am finally able to eat and drink again (sort of). Is this a 5 star hotel? NO! Facilities are beautiful but if they take no pride of ownership, it has NO business being Relais & Chateaux.

Excellent property and truly fantastic service. Highly recommend. We prefer Raffles - Fairmont properties, depending on a destination, but Eden Roc Cap Cana is outstanding, even comparing with the best. Highly recommend.

Very disappointing. We too spent a fortune. Our room had beautiful views but had severely water damaged floors and a foul odor. There was so little to do - we were literally bored. There are no kayaks, no catamarans, no snorkeling gear at the beach. There are 5 boogie boards that are monopolized all day. That is all! If you are an active person this is not the place for you. We rented a private boat for snorkeling for $700. They literally took us off shore and threw bread in the water so we could see fish. The captain slept for a while then took us back to the marina. It s a pretty island but that s all it is. We golfed one day. The course is spectacular but has a $300+ greens fee per person plus cart rental fees etc. expect a $500 pp day on the course. Last year we did Banyan Tree Mayakoba- that place was special. Eden Roc - not special at all.

Paradise found! We just celebrated our daughter s wedding at Eden Roc Cap Cana and could not be more pleased. The hotel is immaculately kept. The beachfront suites are beautiful and have an incredible balcony with the beach literally steps away. We had a very intimate wedding celebration because we are in the first opening stages of a global pandemic and I am amazed at how Mareike (extraordinary wedding planner) and the Eden Roc staff went out of their way to make magic happen! Everything was lovely! I am also very impressed by the hotel s enforcement of safety protocols. Staff wears masks all the time! We feel very safe. Amazing stay! Thank you very much Mareike and the entire Eden Roc staff!

I've been traveling for years and I had never have...

I've been traveling for years and I had never have the bad experiences I had at this hotel, I don't even usually write reviews from places but I feel that people needs to know the reality about this hotel and hopefully don't experience nothing like I did. The people at this place is very rude, they don't even try to give you a premium service, they just don't care. After leaving, I asked someone why this hotel has so many issues? He answered me "because in the DR if you get fire you get pay a compensation for every year you work, so employees give a bad service so they can get fired and get that money"... Awful, so they give you a bad service because they just don't care. So fellow travelers, beware about this bad experiences that many guests are reporting about this, me personally I would never come here again, ever.

A very cozy and quiet place, but unfortunately aimed at clients with a specific profile, if you do not seem like the client they expect then they simply discriminate against you and with very little delicacy, this seemed very "classist" for not defining it as racist .
If you do not care how they treat others, you can come and stay, but if you are a person with "humanity" and with a sense of inclusion, this is not the place to visit.

One of my favorite resorts in DR. Room choices varies great beach and amenities its divided in 2 separate sections with golf cart shuttle service. Both sections are unique. A new beach front dinning area is fantastic for dining. All rooms are beautiful. Upscale resort. I give it a plus plus plus. Cant wait to go back. Everyone was so nice. Great day care for kids and a unique grotto in the upper section.

I ve been traveling all over the world since I traveled by myself for the first time when I was 14 years old, I ve stayed at motels, hostels, hotels from 1 to 5 stars, and in all this years I have never had a worst hotel experience than the one I had at this luxury resort in the last 5 days. Since the moment I checked in they continuously gave me the worst customer service, the 20 times in 5 days that we ordered food at the beach, or at service room, they took more than 1 hour to bring the food and every single time they had the wrong order, how can you bring the wrong order every single time? The same with the drinks, every single time. If we ordered 2 drinks, they brin only one, if we ordered 1 drink they would bring 3, every single time. The craziest thing is that we had butlers, they were never there, they gave us a Butler phone to contact our Butler, I think I tried to call at least 6 times every day and they would never answer we didn t know where they were, I called the front desk the answer was we can t find your Butler ... we asked them to have towels every morning by the pool so our kids could enjoy the day, they couldn t deliver that not even one day. We decided to come here to celebrate my birthday, the first I m 5 years that I can spend with all my kids and they ruined it. They promised me that an international chef would come to cook for us and they came to our villa 20 minutes before they serve us (they literally told me when they got there that the food was precooked and they would heat it up in the grill) the meat was dry and over cooked, the lobster was undercooked and the worst part was when they play the happy birthday song while my family was singing and they brought a cake without the candles! I asked why it didn t have candles and they realized the big mistake and answer me we are just showing you the cake , really?? So you are showing me the cake while my family is singing the happy birthday, that was enough I asked everyone to leave my villa and just let me be with my family because the service was so awful that everyone was getting upset, I just went to the bathroom grab some candles from the hot tub, put them over the cake and done, problem solve. The lack of common sense from these people is terrible. That night I called the manager and the director and after I explained everything that was going on they promised me to fix it.. nothing was fixed, same problems next day, no one came to clean, no brought towels, all te food we ordered was wrong, I couldn t find the butlers, they wouldn t answer the phone, the phone they gave me continuously ring at weird times with women calling and asking for the butlers or texting baby text me when you have a minute completely inappropriate.. they came to pick me and my family up for a excursion that we didn t book!! (So there was another family that booked an excursion and they were waiting to be picked up?!!!). one morning I couldn t find my 10 years old school book and we search all over the house for 3 hours because we needed to do homework just to find out that the Butler took it! Why would you need to took my daughter s school book? Unreal.. for 5 days I thought I was in the twilight zone where no one had common sense, it s the first time in one of my trips that I couldn t wait to leave the hotel. My kids where upset every single day, they came with promises and disappeared, they came after all the issues and promised my kids that they would bring inflatables and toys for the pool, two days after we are still waiting for them to bring the toys they promised my kids.. my birthday dinner? $1500.. $1500!!!?But hold on, they didn t charge it at the end because they know they did wrong... and more and more problems until we left the hotel that I can t even describe because I m so upset just writing this.. $20k for 5 nights of non existing luxury in the worst service hotel I have ever been. Terrible. I found an envelope in my table when I was leaving an apologies letter I thought..no, the bill..
