My husband and I just eloped at the Eden Roc Cap C...

My husband and I just eloped at the Eden Roc Cap Cana and are now on our mini moon at the hotel. This is our first visit to the hotel. In a very short time (less than 3 weeks), the Eden Roc team, led by Mareike, planned an extraordinary, dreamy intimate wedding for four people. It s amazing what can be done in a short time period during a pandemic when you have a world class team on your side. Mareike is the wedding coordinator of your dreams. She has an exceptional eye for detail and is extremely well organized and thorough. She plans each detail beautifully and lovingly as if the event were for her dearest friends. The food and restaurant team at Eden Roc are top notch. The food will appeal to people who have dined at foodie hotspots such as NYC, St. Tropez, Capri, and Miami. I had the best hamachi crudo and prawn risotto at our wedding. My German husband enjoyed the beef tenderloin. My Dominican father had a wonderful coconut fish special. My American mother enjoyed the tagliatelle. We had a delicious selection of hors d oevres beforehand. Their tres leches with dulce de leche is awesome. The beach was gorgeous- no seaweed. The grounds are very well kept. We have been extremely careful during quarantine and had barely left our homes. We were very nervous about taking this trip early on in reopening but Eden Roc has put us at ease. They are running a tight ship with respect to virus prevention measures. Masks are worn by all staff at all times. Hygiene and cleanliness is impeccable. Social distancing has been maintained. I am so happy we were able to have a marvelous wedding despite the pandemic. We also feel at peace with the way in which it was done during the pandemic. We will be forever thankful for the Eden Roc team.
