Very good food, service was good, food took a while to come out .

They have a solid happy hour (4:30-7 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays, all night Sundays and Mondays). If you like oysters definitely check EV out.

This is my second time to experience this establishment. Both times I have found it subpar when compared to other steak houses in the same price range. The service deserved maybe 4 stars, but the food was disappointing on all fronts. I had the BLT Wedge Salad and I finished less than half of it. It wasnt the treat I had hoped it would be. My main dish was the filet and it wasnt anything above what I would get at Saltgrass or Texas Road house. This place seems to try hard to make the cut, but from my experience, both times it just didnt hit the mark. I wont be returning unless I am forced to due.

Eddie V's is the best restaurant in Austin! Great food and location. Love the Jazz music and the service is always fantastic.

You can't go wrong with Eddie V's. The seafood is always fresh and the steaks are always cooked to perfection.

Drinks were great.. the Hope Diamond is a must! Our waiter was VERY respectful and knowledgeable! Decent food. My only complaint would be the valet. The valet attendant approached our table at the end of his night and asked for payment. I've never been anywhere that I had to put my fork down while eating to pay for my parking. If you stay late, most valet hands keys to front desk, you pay them and it's settled the next day between the restaurant and the valet company... it doesn't interfere with your night. I've never been approached in a restaurant by someone asking me what kind of car I drive. After $300 just for drinks and appetizers, I would expect better. No one anywhere to be found when we left.. no goodbye or thank you. Kinda disappointed. We are avid Trulucks guests... tried Eddie V's on a whim. Meh.

We were here for a large party and the staff was very accommodating. The food was delicious and well worth the price.

Food was great and our waiter Jeff F. was wonderful. He made us feel welcome and he was very attentive My husband had seafood and I had filet both done to perfection. We are from Pennsylvania and during the 6 days we spent in Austin we ate at Eddie V's twice

Literally the most delicious food I've ever laid hands on. The smoothest cocktails. The most delectable desserts. It was almost impossibly unrealistically amazing. And the vibe was so cool. Waiters were all fantastic, especially James B. who was our primary server. They made a big deal over my husband's birthday which was very nice of them. We tried the shrimp cocktail, Alaskan sablefish, pomegranate mule, crab stuffed shrimp, godiva cake, bananas foster, the red dragon mojito, hong kong seabass, au gratin potatoes, and a drink called the hope diamond, plus some sort of seared scallop (everyone shared everything) and there was not one bad tasting thing in the bunch. Incredible.

Like stepping in to a time machine and experienceing a classy dinning experience. This is not an every day dinner place this is where you would have had a martini with Frank Sinatra.

My husband and I came here for dinner last Friday night because we both feel like quality seafood. We started off with the smoked old fashion and red dragon cocktail. They weren't bad but not memorable either. I was mildly disappointed.
We had the kong pao calamari app. The flavor was excellent. Hands down the best version of calamari we ever had. However, if I am being really picky, I thought the vermicelli was under cooked and thus some of them were raw. It affected the texture of the dish. If the vermicelli were completely cooked and crispy, the dish would be perfect.
My husband got the chilean sea bass hong kong style and I got the Texas red fish.The sea bass is delicious and pretty authentic! I wished the broth was poured over the fish instead of only on the bottom. Again, That's me being very picky. The Texas redfish is also delicious though I am not a fan of the sauce.
We ordered the crab fried rice and potatoes au gratin for our sides. Noth of them were on point. I loved the flavor of the fried rice.
Our waiter is excellent.
One of the restaurants that we would definitely come back to again.
I recommend it for special occasions and celebrations because of the price point.

First time visit. Started at the bar where the drinks were good, service was nice. Seated for dinner and the service was superb. Food was excellent. Wine list was very nice. Sides were good. Noise level was not horrible. Dessert was excellent. We'd go back!

Highly recommended!! Outstanding steaks! The serving staff was polite, attentive without being overbearing. The sides are generous and tasty. Next time I'm in Austin, itll be one of my stops again. Enjoy

Seabass was very fishy!! Manager was so rude.. brought my friend for a 50th and we were a little loud kept on coming to our table to rain on our party then she threatened to call police. Seriously was just having fun. I d never go back their because of the way she handles customers. Who calls the police because of laughing and loudness? What a waste of tax payers money!

This is a frequent spot for professionals who love great service, great food and an elegant atmosphere. This is a place to be more dressed up so leave the jeans at home fellas. We like to start with some happy hour drinks and snacks in the uber nice bar area before moving into the dining room for their stone crab...

Never disappointing! The yellowtail sashimi was so good!! Best truffle mac and cheese and steak tartar I've had. They also have a great happy hour on Sundays!

The food was good but I woke up in the night very sick an it lasted just over 24 hours, a very bad time being on holiday.
Saying that the music was really good an my partner really enjoyed her food with no illness.

Came here for our anniversary tonight. The food was impeccable...I ll be dreaming about the filet with blue cheese crust until we come back. Every single thing we ate was perfection, including the complimentary bananas foster dessert which was a great table side service and delicious finish to our meal. Couldn t recommend this place more highly!

Best seafood and steak combo restaurant in Austin possibly. We love it here, especially when they have BlackBerry cobbler in season. It's also a great place to celebrate something romantic.

It was beyond delicious! I had an amazing dinner. Their oysters were outstanding, our waiter was outstanding, even down to the valet. My experience was amazing and I will be dining here again. In my opinion, it even beats Ruth's Chris!

Took my wife there on a first visit to celebrate her birthday. The service and the food were everything I expected and then some. Our server was top notch. The chefs are excellent, as demonstrated by the exquisite presentations. I would highly recommend Eddie V's to anyone for an outstanding experience in dining.

Eddie V s was recommended by the concierge at our hotel and we were absolutely not disappointed. We sat in the lounge area and the jazz band were brilliant. I had the Texas Redfish, my friend the bone in New York strip, both fantastic but what made the night was the lobster mash potato, wow!! That was the best thing I ve eaten in a long time. The wine was great, service brilliant and my espresso martini to end the night was excellent.

My favorite steakhouse chain, the food is good, the atmosphere is nice, and I enjoy the live music.

My first Eddie V's experience was a first date. I didn't know what to expect but was very impressed by the food, wine, the ambiance, and the staff's knowledge and friendliness. The food was delicious. The prices are a bit high but for a special occasion it's a perfect spot. We went again for my birthday and we received a free personalized dessert for the occasion. Again, the prices were a bit higher than expect but the food is good.

This restaurant is one of my favorites in Austin. The inside is beautiful and the service is always good. I usually order the crab cakes and oysters as my appetizers. Tonight I tried the Hawaiian yellowtail as an app and it was good. For my main dish I usually order the Parmesan sole (I believe) that's the name. The drink I ordered was the hope diamond. It's delicious. Check this place out.

My husband reserved a table for my birthday. Our table had this lovely petals, our food was great! I ordered the sea bass and it was delicious. Hubby had the steak and was cooked perfectly just how he wants to. We had a chef prepared desert and it was very awesome yall!
Im allergic with shellfish but I personally thank Sir Eric for being helpful and for assuring that I wont have food contamination. We ll definitely be back!

I really hope this was just a rare bad night in the kitchen. Norwegian salmon was not for human consumption while ahi tuna was ok but prepared well in advance (cold). We also had two sups that saved our night since both bisque and chowder were pretty good.

We thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience here. Excellent food and really great service. And the Bananas Foster was everything the other reviews built it up to be.

was there for dinner on January 19th 2017. Really enjoyed the seafood and appreciated listening to live music during dinner. The restaurant is located right in downtown, opposite from the Westin hotel.

Always sit at the bar and enjoy their happy hour on sun and mon(all night!) any other day I really like their filet and wedge salad. Pricey, but good once in a while.

This place gets five stars for their happy hour $1 oysters alone, both East & West Coast for variety. They're not shy about bringing out 3 platters at once either. The lamb lollipops, jumbo lump crab cake, and ahi tuna tartare were alright in my book, but they have many appetizers to try on their menu.

The food and service are phenomenal! Anytime my wife and I do a stay-cation in the Austin area we come here. The lobster bisque is a must have!

We came here for a romantic dinner while visiting Austin and our whole experience was awesome. I wish I could remember our waitresses name became she was amazing. Food was great. Wine was really good. Everything was on point.

Went here with some of our Home building clients. Let me tell you that I have eaten at a lot of Steak houses in my day. This was THE best filet...Go with Oscar... The Sea Bass is out of this world. Spend the money, and enjoy the meal. You will not be disappointed!
