So "bouncers " took my husband and beat him down when he was dancing right beside of me. They dragged him out assault him pulled out a gun to his head and told him that they will Kill him right then and there. I saw when two "bouncers punches my husband nonstop. They had the audacity to show us a video - yet the video showed that he did nothing to them and the bouncers jumped my husband. I tried to stop one of them, and he pushed me. They dragged us out to a cop that was standing outside and we told him to look at my husband face, and to look at the bouncers- they had nothing on us - so what did they do - they released us. when we asked to speak to the managers - they said to stop by tomorrow or call when they are not busy. What ?!? They are so busy to not set aside an injustice like this. Honestly not only the poor customer service but just the injustice in this situation. David supposedly the manager that I spoke to but yet could not give me any explanation other that we don't control the security and you have to call tomorrow. What your telling me that you hire bouncers that you don't have control of their actions??? Now people does this sound fair and just right?!?!?!?

I barely go now but I used to think of echo as my second home when I was younger. Mainly I think I just grew out of it because I work more and seen most of the artists that come by. The sound and lasers are amazing. They host really great shows but it can get crowded. I've learned to take a hand fan to cool down. They also host a variety of shows so it's welcoming for everybody
Edit: so I've been to a couple of clubs out in Florida, Vegas, Philly, and NYC yet, Echo is my favorite. I cant help but compare them to here. And it's both GA and table service. There is one in Tampa that has a similar layout but the sound and visual productions here is way better. Layout here is simple but you can get a clear view anywhere on bottom or top floor. Outside area is nice too to take a break. Hands down my favorite place to be

This venue is just another fallen star. Years ago, it was a "go-to" venue, but now.... times have changed. This has turned from being a haven of solace for the EDM scene, to a blatant cash grab. The venue is consistently oversold to the point of being unable to navigate through the crowd, at any point, save for the bathroom hall. The structure for drink pricing is nearly double of any other nearby venues, $21 for a full-size Captain and coke (not an exaggeration).
The rules are absurd, if a concert goer brings anything that includes one light of any form, they must remove their clothing/jewelry/hat/etc or be denied entry. They have denied entry for clothing that supports artists that are not playing that evening (Bassnectar clothing was banned at a Getter show). If you do go on an evening where there happens to be the slightest amount of floorspace, the crew puts up blackout screens on both sides of the stage. All of these ridiculous actions are always justified by the owners as "these were per artists request". Don't waste your time, money, or even go for free. There are dozens of other local venues between here and Baltimore that provide similar production, with the same artists, at a better location.

There's no where to sit unless you pay extra for it! Standing on concrete for over fours is exhausting and painful. The live entertainment SUCKS because it sounds like a tape is playing and the acoustics were horrible....echoe stage is the correct name.....ijs

Probably the place int the quietest environment around in DC or NYC, but once you step your foot on the floor the atmosphere changes into an amazing ball of energy that brings all people together in the electric way that's just making you want to dance all night long, all night. Hahaha...Will come back soon maybe, I do recon this place anyone with a good spirit

I never had a bad time here, the vibe always depends on the artist or DJ. I go to shows all the time. The staff are friendly, I get a long with a lot of them. If you come regularly the bouncers will notice you and I formed relationships with them. Echostage is like home to me, I'm so glad I started going. I met amazing people, I found the love of my life there too, so there are so many good memories when Echostage comes to mind. I would highly recommend going.

Awesome staff, great restroom situation (complete with speakers in there so you don't miss a beat), & an even MORE amazing sound system (unless that was simply due to the Lord himself--Eric Prydz-- who played there the night I was here)!

Love this place. The talent they pull is great. the crowd is always great. The sound is fantastic. They take good care of their guest by making sure everyone is hydrated by giving out water. The parking situation isn't too bad. There are a few garages on the same street that open up and charge $20 a car and keep your car safe. The surrounding area is kinda sketchy though.

I am an avid concert goer, and I am very disappointed in Echostage. This was the worst experience I have ever had in my 15 years of concert experience. The location of the building is in one of the worst places in DC. Parking is terrible, and expect to have your window smash in if you park anywhere in the vicinity. Be aware that Echostage is potentially involved in a parking scam with a 3rd party parking company and the metrostation. Also the $30 valet parking is sketchy, coming from a law enforcement officers prospective.
Echostage also oversells tickets without the artist being aware or getting a cut of the money. The building is way to packed and past firecode.
Dont bother showing up early to get front row, because after a while they start a second line and open both doors at the same time and have a mob rush to the front. Which is very unfair to any diehards who wait all day to get up front.
I am attending another show there in June. I will review again to see if the experience has changed. I don't see this place lasting very long.

Way too crowded (and sweaty at times...yep, prepare your nose) now. Echo didn't use to do that. Echo does have a true competitor now though, The Anthem. I liked what I saw at Anthem for Zedd's show, and Echo should definitely be worried.

Been coming here for a number of years, now. Seems like, as transportation options have improved (thanks Uber/Lyft) so has the crowds and the acts. Now a really great space to see EDM acts.

The venue was easy to find but parking is expensive for a good spot. So be prepared. Management needs to have monitors installed along the side of the stage so the audience is able to fully enjoy the performances. Otherwise I had a good time and would return being better prepared for the experience offered by Echostage.

I have been here for dozens of shows over the past few years. I always park in the neighborhood beyond the bridge opposite of Bladensburg road, and have never had any problems. I would recommend getting to the venue a bit early, like 10:30 or 11 pm, so you can see the warm up acts and enjoy the people watching. By 12 or 12:30 the front area is normally packed and it is more difficult to get close. They have had some really great DJs there. I've seen Tiesto, Chainsmokers, Above & Beyond (3 times) Wolfgang Gartner, Thomas Gold, Galantis (twice), Benny Benassi, and many more. A must go for EDM lovers.

I made a complaint on their social media page and they blocked me for it. Apparently it's easier for them to block people rather then solve things for themselves. I went on December 26th, 2018 for Tiesto. I said the crowd there was the most pushing and constant shoving nightclub that I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot of them. I even had someone throw their drink on me just because I was standing in the crowd. They say they're the "#1 nightclub in the US and #4 in the world", not even close. The lights and basically everything come off from the front stage and that's it, not anywhere else in the club. There's literally no dress code apparently, my friends and I were the only dressed up people in the entire event which was also something else new to me. The crowd was the most annoying crowd I've ever dealt with, every possible thing that is annoying was what they did. I went for Tiesto, and he was great and amazing, but the place and crowd itself ALMOST overpowered it and made the event unenjoyable. I will go to several more locations to see Tiesto again, but never at this place again.

We went to see Armin Vanburin, show billed as starting at 9 pm. First dj played the same thing over and over again for two boring hours before the next set, which was just ok. We had to leave after midnight and main act still not on stage. Maybe we re not cool because we have lives but with a $50 ticket price and still not sure the difference between the $40 sold out tickets was a bummer of evening. My partner needed to leave and I considered staying but the crowd inside was getting pretty aggressive and was gagging on all the vaping and marijuana smoke inside. Too bad. Could have been a nice evening. With more information we maybe could have headed out later, but still...

Sound system is undersized. You don't notice it so much with smaller turnouts, but it becomes really obvious when they are near or have passed sold out. They either need a larger array of front speakers or to add side and back speakers (or both) to give the space a more saturated sonic-profile.

Great venue, lives up to they hype. The volume was just right, loud enough but not overpowering.
The venue staff was friendly and respectful, especially if you address them in a similar manner. Patrick was particularly helpful and very responsive when I emailed the venue about leaving my card behind (doh!). He did everything he could to help resolve my issue.

Standing room concert/club that leans toward a rave for young kids. The women's bathrooms we done well with multiple entrances and plenty of stalls, tho not the cleanest. The balcony area is cool, and they are quick at bottle service if you pay for those spaces. The bartenders are also very responsive. Definitely a younger crowd, 18+ are allowed in. Parking is $20 anywhere nearby, so consider Uber, but have them pick you up on the corner. The people working there were actually nice and down to earth, that's hard to find.

I wish there was a way to give negative rating. Supposedly called the First Aid is the worst thing to ever happen to mankind. I mean people are high on grass, that they don t care , but an innocent girl who was having fun with her girlfriends was kicked out. She dint puke, she dint abuse anyone, she is married, mind you she could use the restroom without anyone s help. These supposedly called first aid dint help her by giving her water or even listening to her. Ripped us off 100$ for no reason. Racist

Security guard kept on claiming I was drunk and ended up harassing me so bad it brought me to tears. I was NOT drunk, she would not let me in for hours making me miss most of the DJ s set. It was until the third try she said I could come in but I was not allowed to purchase alcohol inside. I would never go to this venue again, the egotistical bouncer ruined my experience.

Hard cement floors no seating this wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to stand 5+ hours for the show to start. Went to see Wiz Kid got there by 9pm he didn't come out until 2am by then everyone was tired. Also most people have work on Mondays the show was on Sunday.

Went to go see NBA Young Boy had a horrible experience. It was for all ages it was 3 year olds and up. Security allowed the people to spark up and smoke weed while the kids was present. They was more focused on uninvited guest up in the table section then caring about the well being of the crowd of people in the club. NBA came out at 12mid night to preform...mind you the hours was from 8pm til 12am....he came out at 12 and performed til 12:30am...SMH I forgot he had to run to Bliss for the after party. DAMN.

Physically the venue is really good. Very large dance area where you can position yourself to your liking - work your way up front if you like the being-packed-in-like-sardines front row concert experience, or stay in the offskirts to the sides or back if you prefer more air and room to dance. Smoking area out back is okay I guess, although def not fancy, just a gated-in area of the back lot basically, with no seating. Second level has tables and nice seating if youre the type of douchebag that gets table service.
Worst thing - as many have already stated - is the location. I wouldn't walk there alone for sure. I'm always with one or two buddies at these shows and we usually take the risk and park in the ghetto blocks surrounding the club. Been there probably 4 times with no problems yet, but I always have a nervous feeling in the back of my mind. Your other alternatives are paying for parking, which is just a ripoff and you get crammed into whatever little crevice they can find to put cars - I really dont think many of the parking 'areas' were intended to hold cars lol. Of course you could take metro, but I think the nearest stop is like 12-15 blocks away...

Overall this place is ok I guess. Physically very good venue but hampered by horrible location and, Im sad to say, a general vibe of greed going on, particularly with parking, drinks and the ticket prices

Horrible location for this venue, super sketchy area with limited parking, to make it worse the cops block most roads at the end of the concert making it impossible for your ride to come in and get you. After exiting, I called my ride and they were still 20 min away stuck in traffic, I wanted to go back in to use the bathroom and security wouldn't let me go back in, told me to walk a half mile to the nearest McDonalds. At 10pm. In a sketchy neighborhood. And I'm a young female. Way to look out for us, guys. Drinks were expensive, too. $4 for a soda. Plus half the audience spent the whole concert talking over the music to their friends. It's beyond me why people pay to come to concert just to talk with their friends. Wish I hadn't gone to this concert. Definitely staying far away from Echostage from now on.

When the show let out there were cops everywhere blocking off the entrance so my ride couldn't reach me. We had to walk a good distance in the pouring rain to get to the taxis There were no seats in the club anywhere not even the bar. I'm paying 15 dollars for a drink can a girl get a seat? This awful place threw my boyfriend out because he was in the bathroom vomiting. Why is there first aid people if no one helps? My boyfriend is explaining he does not have his phone and his friends were at the bar but they still put him out in pouring rain while he's drunk!!! He's never going back to this place.

Great artists come here and the time spent with family and friends is always a blast. A word of caution to the general population about some of the folks who tend to show up though - keep your personal belongings close and only bring what is necessary. I have personally had my phone stolen. I also wish the default would be for the bartenders to keep your tab open instead of closing out after every transaction.

I always love attending Echostage! By far the best club I've been to! Fair prices for entry and not sexist! Beautiful special effects. The music is much louder than a typical club because this is setup as a concert venue! You WILL feel uncomfortable without earplugs! I recommend getting a $15-$20 pair off of Amazon. I don't know if echo still has a shuttle, but I have never seen information about it and i recommend getting an Uber a couple blocks away after.
