Total madness and confusing! Obviously good stuff, but I couldn't get around the crowd to figure it all out. And definitely not a place to bring kids when you don't know what you're doing.

Crowded, but great experiences. View fresh mozzarella being made, enjoy delicious meals/drinks, shop and the indoor atmosphere transforms you to another place (especially being in NYC).
Not bad, but not quite as good as Eataly downtown WTC, which was amazing!!
This is a huge Italian-themed grocery store/ food court. There is so much goin go nhere, and it's always packed with tourists. Everything is priced a bit on the high end, but there are some unique groceries available. I also recomment trying a few of the restaurants, or the beer garden on the roof!
Just thought you might want to know that they carry $4 baby's food pouches here
Amazing place, excellent food, restaurants and atmosphere. Even if you're not hungry worth the time just wandering around this beautiful indoor market..
Manager at Eataly Vine failed to include the 10% discount on the wines they were tasting and then when I asked about it after he rang me up, he refused to credit it back to me.
My son and myself visited eataly Xmas 16 fantastic food and service we loved the place next time I'm in New York will visit again
My balanced the price with the food, both very good
The appetizer was nothing more than glorified lunch meat, the the seating had a nice view of the side walk and we were seated behind the drinks. What a view.
Not sure where I start with this location. It's so great I stopped by every day I was in NY for coffee, breakfast Paninis and lunch/ dinner pasta. If you're a lover of desserts, cheese, Italian meats, seafood or pasta this is your spot. Its maybe a lil overwhelming when you first walk in, but it's very easy to navigate around.
Now this place is not cheap at all. Expect to spend around $15-30 per entree. It's well worth it. I went to il pastaio twice. We literally ordered all of the pastas. Telling you what to order is a diservice to this establishment. Everything was delicious. Cooked fresh right in front of you. I also stopped by the La pizza & la pasta. 1 whole pizza box of 4 Sicilian style type pizzas will set you back around $28. Well worth it to sample different types of pizzas.
This location is kept really clean and you can always find a seat. Great place to do some grocery shopping or grab a quick bite. Nothing to complain about this place, but maybe expand to the DC metro area!!!
Very nice the whole place and attractive products and good attention. But quite expensive everything.
Even though, this store has a little expensive, but It's still my favorite Italian store.
Great options for Italian food!! But be aware of when you go. You will hit a crowd.
When I come to NY if I don t eat and buy all the specialties at this amazing place it feels that I have not been to NY it s an addiction all the Restaurants are great I love this place you need to open one in Miami
Overwhelming selection. Shop, eat, or both - don't forget to check out the recently opened beer garden upstairs for beer and small plates!
Absolutely love this place! Excellent location, first of all! The groceries are really good and the cheese section is my little heaven. The restaurants are incredible (all of them) and especially the pizza place! Hands down the best margherita pizza I ve ever had. (Little tip: you can have your wine while roaming around and waiting for your table!)
I highly recommend this place. You can t go wrong here!
The food here is legit Italian food. Crowded but worth the food.
Popular, authentic, with tasty food and genuine products.
Specialty Italian food store. Some items are over priced and best bought in a supermarket. Specialty imported goods and charcuterie offerings are first rate.
Nice choice of fresh vegetables. Other delicious delicacies.
This place is an Italian person's wet dream. Nuff said.
Variety of Italian cuisine in central new york. If you ask for actual coffee in New York, it is here.
Great market place. I love coming here for the restaurants knowing that the food is always fresh
Too crowded. Unable to find any empty seats for 3 for dining at all those different theme restaurants inside. Bought some grocery and left.
Excellent food. At La Pizza La Pasta. Enjoyed everything. Loved my Sommelier. She was amazing. Great wine selection
Whenever I'm in the area, I just like to drop in. Eataly is one of those places that never get old. They are constantly changing and trying to improve the place. They recently added a pizza place and a Nutella shop. If you're tight on time, grab a quick coffee or pick up a cup of gelato. Otherwise, sit down and enjoy a meal in their many restaurants. Their cheese and meats service section is also a great place to dine if you don't mind standing.
There is also a great selection of produce, meats, cheeses, and pastas. Though prices are on the higher side, it is a nice splurge once in awhile. I've been to their location in Milan, and of course it isn't as large or extensive. But this is still a great addition to the neighborhood and always bustling with customers!
We randomly found this amazing place, spended so much time in here. As the name suggested you can find any Italian food stuff here, would definitely revisit.
If you love cooking and everything that has to do with gastronomy and particularly the fascinating Italian food, this is a must-see place! ... You can eat very well at prices not too expensive or buy all kinds of Italian products ! ..
very traditional, spectacular, it's like being in Italy
An excellent place to eat Italian food. This is a chain that originated in Italy.
This is an Italian food market as only Lidia Bastianich and Mario Batali can do in Manhattan.
Amazing place to get loads of different foods, both sit down to eat as well as European groceries.
So many options for real Italian cuisine! Delicious!
This place is still a great option to eat Italian food, I like very much the concept. Although they are not very flexible in their portions, e.g I only wanted to buy one canelone and they sell the package of three.
Simply fantastic, great great food and enjoyable shopping experience
Eataly is a revelation. Top quality real Italian food presented and served with Manhattan professionalism.
Everything Italian. Big budget, makes u feel like u're actually in Italy!
New York was extremely hot at the time of my visit with some days approaching 40 degrees. Walking into Eataly with my New York friend was like entering an oasis in the middle of the desert. Not that New York can be described as a desert in the restaurant scene.
All your senses are immediately assailed by a kaleidoscope of incredible smells, great visual display of many types of food, fruit, meats, cheeses, coffee, spices, herbs and a range of other magnificent produce. The buzz of happy people eating, drinking, shopping chatting. The cool touch of marble-topped counters and bars the fabulous tastes. The attention to detail here is just breathtaking, particularly for such a large venue. It has been cleverly broken up into a collection of smaller places within a large space without either losing the intimacy of where you are eating or the magnificent scale.
It was late afternoon, and we had not yet had lunch. Looking for something light to eat with my friend, as dinner had been booked for that evening.
Sitting down on a stool with a marble bar, which held no more than 8-10 people, curved around a relatively small space. We ate buffalo Mozzarella, Prosciutto Burrata and enjoyed some glasses of a beautiful dry Italian Rose. Rose seems to be de rigueur in New York at present. I finished with an espresso, and I am happy to say that while I do not think the Americans know how to make good coffee, despite the proliferation of global franchises selling what they call coffee and which to me is false advertising, the coffee here is surprisingly good. But then again I do come from Melbourne.
Eataly is also an excellent venue for people watching. We and had the pleasure of talking to the people on either side of us. One was a young French woman who was selling high-end enamel stoves used by some of the leading Chefs both in their restaurants and at home. She was entertaining a client who had just bought one of the stoves, so they seemed to be settled in. I can think of worse places!
Eataly is a wonderful concept restaurant and store co-owned in the US by Mario Batali. Put it on your list for the next time you are in New York.
Because in one place I can find to eat what I want it!!! Yesss I love the Pizza!!
I love this place! The smells were great. I can't wait for them to come to Toronto. (Not an NYC local)
Real Italian food and espresso coffee from Vergnano really good
Amazing grocery/food store experience. It's awesome being able to browse around with a glass of wine in hand.
Oscar Farinetti a great, this had the intuition to create a chain of medium and large stores specialized in the sale and administration of Italian food, to protect the made in Italy.
The NYC store is beautiful, located near Madison Square Park.
At the first level, a hymn the Mediterranean diet:
Bar (LAVAZZA)
Artisan ice cream shop
Market with Italian snacks
Butcher's shop
Delicatessen / Dairy
Fish
Fruit vegetables
Etc ... etc
Second level :
RED PIZZERIA TOMATO
Very good stuff, for the most part. Too heavy on the Barillia pasta though. If I want to buy that, I'll go to a supermarket. Super crowded. Still trying to get a chance to have a beer on the roof, but it's always packed. Very expensive, but it's one-stop shopping.
Several stations with restaurants for pasta, fish, canes ... Excellent fruits, ingredients and high standard pasta, a true Italian market with the best.
Worth the visit.
Mario Batalli's place. Impressive to see and visit. Also, great food to eat.
Do you like Italian means, pizza, cheese... everything Italian, then you NEED to stop by here. The cannoli bar was amazing and loved that you could get mini cannolis so you can try a bunch of different flavored fillings.
Incredibly good .. you get what you want and to your liking .... I wish I had a place like that near me
Great place to spend a lot of money for an equal abundance of hassle.
You can find anything you want and it's all going to taste great!
Amazing, just like the tardis from doctor who...it just keeps going massive lol! Staff can brush up on people skills WE are not cattle, customers?? impressed all the same.
An absolute treat and must visit when in NYC. I tell anyone who mentions a trip that they would be doing themselves a disservice should they miss Eataly. I love the vibe, the layout, the food and produce. Great initiative on this one!
We regularly do our grocery shopping here. The fish and meat are of great quality. Rosso Pomodoro serves great pizza. Even the gluten free base is great!
It is a nice place although a little expensive for lunch.
Only been here once but my girlfriend and I enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and also enjoyed the market on the first floor. A large selection of different foods and also a large amount of kitchen equipment. Be prepared to spend a good amount but atleast you will be walking out with quality product. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Nice, clean, good food, amazing verity.
On the other hand, overpriced.
So much variety, though vegetarian/kosher/halal options are nonexistent. It's always tempting and mouth-watering and thus, a challenge. Serving sizes are Italian style, small and savory. You pay for the quality and you get it. Hot chocolate is literally the yummiest, thickest, most amazing hot chocolate you can imagine. It's a full meal, the way it settles in your stomach, so word of advice, 2 people should get one of these as dessert, unless you lile walking around in the city in this bitter cold, because if you do, this drink is your best friend!
AMAZING!!
It is to spend the day there eating and buying Italian delicacies. In winter, I would stay living in there.
The place is good but typically is overcrowded and food while good is overpriced
Amazing pizza and pasta. Always fresh and super fast service. We went to see a show after we ate and we needed to get a quick bite. This is one of our favorite places to go! Wish they had one in Seattle!
What a store! Access to everything Italy right in the middle of NYC. Very high quality items.
Great store, awesome workers, and even better food! Gotta try that Cascun Farm chicken they carry, it's the best!!!
Ate dinner here. I asked waiter about the pasta with lobster - he said it's good but small, after which I ordered scallops. Scallops were good, but only 3 pieces of them on a big dinner plate. Gotta be kidding. I can only picture if I went with my original choice: a pair of spaghetties nicely rolled in a spiral topped with a teaspoon of lobster meat...
my wife's fish was overcooked dry, my friend's fish soop was good.
Overall, overpriced dinner. Lunch is reasonable I heard. Grocery store is overpriced too.
My experience is that you can not stop passing by, if you are in NYC! Impossible!! And more if you like me, Italian cuisine! It is a market as if it were a traditional market, but inside everything you will find are delicious products just arrived from Italy, or that are produced there with the recipes of the illustrious cook !!!! The Ice creams!!!! Yum yum, they line up all day long to try one !!!! An exclusive space to see prepare the Mozarrella de Bufala, smoked, afflicted and much more! Bookstore, delicatessen, you can eat there, there are several restaurants inside it, and in turn several bars !!! Do not forget to stop by and if you are a @GoogleLocal less yet! The foodies are great !!
Liked the place always but like it even more during the pandemic when it s not crowded. They also seems to keep up with the precautions very well, I feel safe shopping here.
Come share a prime rib sandwich for lunch with a friend, with some rock salt and a drizzle of olive oil, this is the perfect sandwich.
Overpriced & Delicious.
Steer away if you have shallow pockets, or veer on if you've got a craving!
Happy Eats!
This is the heaven for Food lovers. I spent almost all my nights there. If you come to NY, please order a margherita pizza there and try a Sicilian lemon soda.
I would definitely recommend Eataly for some no hassle pure Italian delicacies. Try their gelato!
