Unhelpful staff, useless organisation, dont care about mental health, dont do repairs and generally the worse housing association I've ever seen run or had to use . Have been waiting for repairs for 3 years and been waiting to move since March then postponed delayed and ignored. Big bunch of people with no clue and liars

The person you are looking to speak to is never available, they'll tell you that you'll get a call back.... But you won't. Operatives are often rude and generally lie through their teeth to avoid any kind of responsibility, the service generally sucks for tennant's, they're not even close to "value for money". If you're having a problem with anti social behavior.... Forget it! both of the women who deal with antisocial behaviour are arrogant and would rather do nothing, I almost felt that when I was making the complaint that they were somehow accusing me of something, I couldn't tell if it was a lack of intelligence or just outright meanness.

Terrible company..ring them up and they never want to deal with anything..passing the buck. Allowing contractors to leave mess in the garden and leave guttering in a dangerous position which fell and injured me.

Hi I've been with one Manchester for 20yrs ,they dont really look after their houses ,example kitchens ,doors all very old ,tatty outdated.There quite happy to take your hard earned rent every week My sister has her house with willow Park and they really do look after their tenants and their homes alot better.

Been a tenant with the Council, then City South and now One Manchester for a number of years and their customer service just gets worse and worse. It varies between condescending, unhelpful, lazy, ill informed and out and out rude. Last episode was explaining to staff that I was locked out of my property (lock had broken) and I had two cats inside. Response was that they didn t really know what to do about it and to maybe call back after 8am (when presumably a new shift of untrained and can t be bothered staff take over and equally wouldn t know what to do?). I called out a locksmith myself in the end. Wasn t expecting for the lock to be changed free of charge - was hoping for some advice and for my query to be taken seriously. Should have know better really. Still waiting for a response to an email I sent 2 months back regarding the communal television system. Don t usually post reviews but needed to vent. A complete joke. Bad one at that.

experience with this housing ia a joke boiler was leaking didn't fix it for a month then pipe at bk leaked and water went all under flooring was told to go thru insurance even though it there fault sent someone out and basically said it will dry out and haven't heard anything since complete joke

DO NOT GET WITH THIS HOUSING, DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY WILL BE NICE UNTIL THEY ACTUALLY HAVE TO GET OFF THEIR ASSES AND DO THEIR JOB THEN THEY WILL END THE CALL WHEN THEY CBA CHECKING IF ANYONE IS IN. OUR REPAIRS TAKE MONTHS TO BE DONE UNLESS YOU GET ENVIROMENTAL HEALTH, GAS SAFE, OF THE POLICE INVOLVED. EVEN THEN, THEY DO HALF THE JOB THEN DISAPPEAR FOR MONTHS.

THE BOILERS IN THEIR PROPERTIES ARE UNRELIABLE. MY NEIGHBOURS ALL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE BOILER. IF THEY CAP YOUR COOKER YOU MAY GO OVER 4 MONTHS WITHOUT ONE AND THEIR EXCUSE FOR NOT FIXING IT AFTER ITS DEEMED SAFE IS THEIR MOTHER, BROTHER, SISTER, FATHER, CAT, DOG, GERBIL, RAT IS IN HOSPITAL SO THEY'RE 'BUSY'.

TALKING ABOUT RATS THE HOUSES IN HULME ARE INFESTED WITH RATS BUT THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING TO RECTIFY IT. YOU CAN HEAR THE RATS RUNNING IN THE CEILING, WALLS, FLOORS. YOU CAN EVEN HEAR THEM SQUEEKING A NIGHT I MAY ASWELL HAVE BEEN CALLED CINDERELLA. MY NEIGHBORS HAVE CHILDREN AND HAVE HAD TO KILL MORE THAN 3 FOUND IN THEIR HOMES.

OH AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT GETTING ELECTROCUTED ALL AROUND THE HOUSE WHEN YOU PLUG THINGS IN APPRENTLY ITS THE TENANTS FAULT THE SOCKETS ARE BURNING FROM THE INSIDES.

IF YOUR FAMILY HAVE MENTAL HEALTH DO N.O.T NOT ENCOURAGE THEM TO GO WITH ONE MANCHESTER!!!!!!!! THEY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH. MAKING FUN OF THEM, LAUGHING AND CALLING THEM NAMES OVER E-MAIL. IF YOU FIND OUT, NO ONE WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE EVERYONE JUST GOES ABOUT THEIR DAY.

IF YOUR'E A CAUCASIAN COUNCILOR THOUGH DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT, MIGHT ASWELL MOVE IN CAUSE THEY'LL DO ALL YOUR REPAIRS WITHIN 3 DAYS & MAKE SURE YOU'R HOUSE IS ALL DONE UP ALL FANCY.
THEY WILL MOVE A MILE AND A HALF FOR YOU COUNCILLOR UNTIL YOU MOVE OUT BECAUSE THE LOCAL KIDS PUT YOUR WINDOW IN & BEHEADED YOUR CAT :)

Terrible, they take your money but offer very little service and when you contatc them to complain you're treated like a criminal, garbage.

Found one Manchester very helpful in all aspects of solving my problems never found a problem with them well done

Unesscarily awkward at times, depends who you deal with. A lack of coherent information is to be expected and staff who sadly give you lip service. Not to be trusted entirely, I always suggest getting it in writing. They claim to be a 'giving' organisation but seem to give to projects rather than the up keep of thier properties neglecting the tenants who of course keep them afloat. Unsure if thier operations tie in line with the charity commission regulations, highly suspicious. Repairs vary vastly depending on whether thier city and south or east land homes. Not great, AVOID. Had problems since day one and ongoing.

Absolutely appalling bunch of amateurs, never ring back or answer there phones, left with no hot water or heating for four days now and no contact off them, unbelievable

Truly Racist organisation, I have had issues with a tenant another tenant, and reported the incident numerous times, the company does not follow complaints procedures, as well as will not listen to any other company I try to report abuse to. The anti-social behaviour co-coordinator is really rude and rather abusive, as well as the whole anti social behaviour team. In the end I left the property as they are really useless at City South, I could go into more details and with dates and times of the incident, but it is just better to stay clear of this company.

Worst Housing Association I've ever dealt with. Need to rearrange an apt and rang 4 times yesterday and 5 times today. Just on hold for ages (last time 17mins) just listening to recorded message of what a great company they are and how much they do for their tenants.which is beyond insulting as I know how useless they are.Even sent online request at 8.45am today and still waiting at 2.30pm. The best thing they could do for their tenants is to hand the stock back to Manchester city Council.Ive been saying for the last 5 years, why are they are not being investigated for the way they operate.I tell anyone at any chance to avoid them.

Very poor... A friend's got a nightmare neighbour who put CCTV in communal areas which is against the lease and one Manchester hasn't removed it when complaints have been made. I have another friend who's had issues with the dog next door Barking from morning until night again one Manchester are a waste of time.

I found them very honest and professional when I made application for a house. Obviously waiting times are quite higher but staff can t do much about it.

Worst agency to stay with. It s seems like a ghost agency Customer Service very poor.

Paying comunal ground manteinance to live in this conditions is insulting

Gone downhill now the 2 housing associations have amalgamated into 1 to make One Manchester.Takes longer to get through on the phone & takes longer to actually get repairs done.Also they have made tenants responsible for repairs that they would have previously done.

There is absolutely no way to get in contact with the company regarding any problem that you have. Been on the phone waiting to get in contact with an associate for the past 20 minutes. Same with live chat. The out of hours emergency line is basically useless as they will not do anything regarding any query that one might have.

Beyond the worst housing I have ever been with, I have a 2 year old child, I work full time to pay my rent. I call up at 10pm last night asking for help as my boilers packed in, It s cold in the house even though they say it s (summer months) me and my daughter had to wrap up in Blanket and a duvet, MY 2 year old daughter!. I also have to dry my cloths AS I WORK FOR A LIVING! I have now got to wait a week for it to be fixed when it is there fault and would take 2 minutes to be fixed, You are a disgraceful housing group. I moved it two months ago my housing officer put in multiple things that need doing in the house in order for it to be deemed liveable I have heard nothing back and have had to pay to get the repairs done! I have all pictures and will be taking this to citizens advise utterly disappointed.

I have had numerous issues previously throughout the years of being tenant with One Manchester. In this review going to focus on the present.

Having to wait over 6 months for them to give me a new boiler when I've been asking them for months to sort out my boiler they did not believe me even the workmen who came out to repair the boiler/ thermostat, the 3 repair said there was nothing wrong with the boiler even though I knew the boiler was faulty and reiterated the issues many times. They did not care. About running hot water.

After all I am paying rent and generally good tenant.

When not being treated as an important customer and issues with previous home.

Which has affected my mental health substantially.

Due to the fact of the problems with the boiler, the radiators are working but I have no running hot water the hot water is not running through the tap for long enough it just disperses after 1 sec and the water disappears. Have running cold water.

Having to boil the kettle for hot water is tedious to wash up and being able to have the occasional relaxing bath instead of showering constantly.

No hot water running from a hot water tap in this day and age in the UK. This 2019 disgusting not 1943.

Due to me being a single male they don't care about me or my mental health.

Luckily, I had workman check the boiler after me reporting the issue yet again and me not being my usual respectful self and speaking my mind and explained how the situation is affecting my mental health and I will report them to a housing ombudsman.

This repairman was nice, he reported the fault and ordered a new boiler for next week.

Leaving this review and 2 stars due to the fact
it took months to resolve this.

After years of issues, they are improving and being helpful during the pandemic. Decanted me on to a street I've wanted to live on for years. Due to being government mandate refurbishing all the old studio flats in the block and they found asbestos in a few of the bedsits(studio flats). So temporarily decanted residents into nicer accommodation/houses. Luckily our housing officer Adam has compassion and help few people who wanted to stay living in where they were decanted to.

The only issue is can't dispose of the build-up of paper recycling and tins, glass, plastic. The MC council brought me a big brown bin and big green garden waste because mine keeps getting taken. Have a small blue paper recycle bin which I want to exchange for a bigger one but they won't exchange it.

My boiler issues are resolved and I am actually happier in my home took a year to feel like one but getting there once. Issues in the kitchen sorted the house will be the almost perfect home

All I did was change my email address and now the system won't let me in telling me both my old and my new email or password are not recognised.. After 3 months of emails and phone calls I'm still no further on with getting this resolved.. My last phone call to them I was on hold for over half an hour to get all the promise I have been given before and nothing happens.... It was never like this when it was eastlands home.. ONE MANCHESTER DON'T GIVE A DAM ABOUT THERE RESIDENTS

Useless organization staffed by people who are either intellectually unfit to manage the homes of tenants or in other cases unwilling to do so even if they are legally required, everything from communal area maintenance to "repairs" is substandard and seemingly getting worse as the years pass. I'd give no stars if it was possible.

One Manchester have cut off my gas supply to our house even though we have a baby living with us. Even our gas supplier said that they should NOT have done that because of our circumstances. They knew we had children in the house... they also blamed me for going to my aunt's funeral said that I should have stayed at home and be in for my appointment! Spoke with Catherine and Jim who claimed they were trying to help but lied and said my gas supply wont be back on until 15th November, have also been advised by another "customer service rep" who advised me that we need to eat sandwiches until the gas gets put back on. Nice work One Manchester! You have ruined our baby's 3rd birthday and left us in the cold without hot water. I wonder if they would be happy if it happened to them(?)
