Great to deal with whilst they are taking your money but the minute you have anything other than a oneway transaction to deal with or try to resolve anything......stonewall silence and ignorance......they simply don't want to acknowledge any communication and will NOT answer.

Zero customer service in that respect.

They sell pretty standard off the shelf stuff available at similar prices as elsewhere so fine if you want a simple transaction and hope it doesn't go wrong, but beyond that? I'd shop somewhere that cares.

Having carefully shopped around the various companies and systems, I purchased an East Midlands Water softener water filter system. The price was highly competitive, the advice given was entirely appropriate (I was guided to a less expensive model than the one I first enquired about once it was clear what our household needs were) : the system was easy to install and the result is brilliant (like our shower screens!). I have urged others to follow in our footsteps

We used to recommend this company, would not anymore. Look so many other one starts.

Do Not buy from this company. Absolute disgraceful service once they have your money, the systems do not work and you are given the run around for weeks in an attempt to fix anything. They lie and try to blag you with technical rubbish rather than doing what any good company would do and just fixing the faulty system they've sent you. Rude and arrogant staff with zero people skills. I'd rather drink puddle water than ever give these clowns another penny of my money again. Absolute blaggers and I'm STILL with a broken system and expected to fix the bloody thing myself. Disgraceful company.

Absolutely spot on company and product, no qualms about using this company in the future.

I use an under sink water filter. I had a tap failure after about 5yrs since installing. I phoned for a replacement on Tuesday morning and received the new one next mid morning. Can't get better than that! Thanks and well done for excellent service to all!

These are the words that I would use to describe the difference my water softener has made to both my husband and myself. Just had the unit fitted yesterday and the quality of the water is like silk. Masses of lather in the shower, my laundry is so soft, and no sign of the dreaded lime scale that we have been enduring since moving to a hard water area. Thank you soooooo much Ian again for your fantastic advice and great customer service.

I purchase my replacement reverse osmosis filters from EMWC every 6 month and they are brilliant! the very helpful sales team give me a call to remind me that they are due for replacement and take the order over the phone for me. Delivery time is shockingly quick too, my new filters are here and installed within 3 days!

Can't see how these guys even deserve one star. The worst customer service there could be. Please please please stay away from this place especially from the person that claims to be the owners son Tom. We got cheated by these guys when the sold the product which wouldn't fit into our house and they wouldn't take it back. The customer service was so rude to us, basically they didn't care cone the product was sold. I wish the worst for these guys for what they put us through.

Within a few weeks it is very noticeable how clean sinks, toilets and especially shower screens are with the reduction of limescale.
Easy to fit for a reasonable DIY person, as long as you have plenty of access space around your incoming water pipes and suitable waste pipe.

Since moving up to Yorkshire I've got through 3 kettles in a year! I finally convinced my partner to buy a water softener and so far so good! Limescale buildup has reduced massively.

If I could put no stars I would. after 4 months my 400 quid + water filter system is still not working, after flooding my kitchen twice. EMWC are very nice and helpful until they have your money, support is hopeless and the staff don't really care. Instructions are absolutely unclear, parts missing from kit, I've just had to buy the missing parts from them, if I could have bought them elswehere I would. Terrible experience, I won't be buying from EMWC again.

I bought a faultyUV house system from this company and was told the noise of the UV transformer was normal. It turned out not to be. I was conned into buying an updated product that did not do as I was told it would. I did get a refund eventually after doing a video that I threatened to post, but I am still dubious as to whether the new transformer is doing its job. emails, phone calls - I cannot get through to tech support. In the meantime the water in our house has given us stomach aches. I suggest going elsewhere. The cleanliness of your water is too important.

What an excellent company to do business with. Last purchased from them 18 years ago for our first water softener, (which was still going strong!). Returned as we have recently moved and needed a new softener. Their sales team are excellent and a credit to the company. A minor installation query was addressed by their technical manager with my plumber. Highly recommended. D Barnes

What a difference a water softener dose to the Bedford water

Ordered wrong unit in error and reordered correct unit .The wrong unit was returned using EMWC procedure.After 2 weeks I rang asking when I would receive my refund, told accounts lady was not in but it would be dealt with next Tuesday. Rang on Tuesday and told it I would have refund within 2 days. 3 days latter no refund, rang requesting a call back within 3 hours, no response. Rang asked for MD, on holiday! spoke to Sales Director who arranged credit.

Having had a non-electric twin tank that stopped working after 7 years, emwc explained why and how the less expensive softeners won't last, especially in a high demand household. They quickly shipped a replacement electric model, which I have just commissioned. Outstanding service emwc! Thank you

I purchased a Reverse osmosios kit from this company and fitted it my self i could not understand it at first but telephone them i spoke to a gentleman who was the most helpfull in all ways and spent some time putting me on the right track,
I have phoned them over the last 4 years to order filters and a lamp i found there way of handling the customer is perfect. I realy dont understand why there are a few negative comments to me simple the best ....Anthony Guest,Corfu,Greece.

I bought East Midlands own under sink water filter and it has been fantastic.
The water tastes great and it was so easy to instal thanks to a wonderful helpful lady who asked for photos of under my sink and so got me the exact right fitments.
I really recommend this company.

I chose EMWC water softener due to the high flow rate and low salt usage. After myself getting an EMS10, a number of other people asked if I could get one for them due to the same reason as I selected them for. The service and staff and very helpful and supportive will all question. Really would recommend them.

Below is a true account of my last experience with EMWC. Make of it what you will!

UPDATE 8/8/20
Received thorough email response 9/7/20 apologising and excusing for wrongly described goods and tardiness.
Accepted offer to return goods as I considered the substitute sent was inferior and grossly overpriced.
EMWC received returned goods 17/7/20.
18 days later, 3/8/20, I chased refund.
This seemed to START the refund process and the monies (not including return postage!) was back in my account 6/8/20

UPDATE 8/7/20
No response. Have resent requested details for order they cannot trace - will await response again.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
I have been a customer of EMWC for more than 10 years, continuing to buy the consumables for their products during that time.
I recently ordered Softener Mate , (which is a specific trade marked product), and didn t mind paying over the top to continue the loyalty theme.
I was sent an unfamiliar substitute, that on investigation, is being wrongly described as Softener Mate on EMWC s website.
When complaining about this, no offer of recompense was made.
In summary,


My loyalty only goes so far.
Perhaps rather foolishly, I did not enforce my rights under the Consumer Contract Regulations 2014, by cancelling and returning the products.

Ian was particularly helpful and knowledgable about all the possible options available to us and made the whole process super easy.

I had done my research before contacting EMWC. The person I spock to was very knowledgeable, we discussed various aspects of the different models available and when I decided to purchase one I got a good deal. The water softener was delivered in a couple of days. I wish all bissnesses were this good.

Ordered a water softener yesterday, all very efficient, being delivered tomorrow. So far good!!
