Iv been going to zest, b4 it was upperthorpe. I was there since I was 2yrs old. Learnt to swim, got my training certificates+really love this place. The staff are so nice +are always willing to help.+some make u feel welcome. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Love the swimming bath here - great for lessons with children and babies. Water is warmer than many pools which is great for little ones. The cafe is well run and an interesting concept. We use the library here regularly and love the children s area.

Zest is within a library and gym/swimming pool. There is a cafe/restaurant where they provide a wide range of different dishes. They also serve a cooked breakfast and for those on a tight budget they offer breakfast for a small donation. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and they have a specials board.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. You can what you like. The staff are very friendly

Library, cafe, swimming pool and gym in a Victorian era building (see the sculptures over the door, they are in Pevsner guide!). Can't really find a more local place with the same offering

Old fashioned pool but the water is warm and if you want to swim lengths or for swimming lessons the pool is perfectly sufficient.

One stop shop library, pool & fitness. Great community cafe where prices depend on what you can give & those who can't afford can contribute in other ways. Thoroughly recommend.

A wonderful community centre with excellent facilities

Friendly staff and decent facilities. Currently use the swimming pool for my daughter's lessons and the teachers are patient and great with children. There is a small library to entertain the littles for a short while, a gym and small cafe too.

Love zest . It s a bit dated in places but the staff are very helpful and prices are very reasonable. The only pool I ve visited that isn t freezing.

New cafe has recently opened and the food is amazing

Zest Centre is a welcoming and versatile asset to Upperthorpe. It offers Sports facilities, a library, cafe and many other classes and advisers. With good disabled acssess. There are activities for over 50s, children and cultural groups. Come and find out what's on offer

Not used other services only swimming. The water is very warm I used to take both my children swimming at zest when they were babies and we enjoyed it. Few years later nothing changed and the place looks "tired". We paid for a block of lessons just before lock down started in March, when they reopened they increased price, the killer was now they'd only offer swimming lessons once every two weeks. its end of year now we still haven't used up the credits we paid in March which means we hardly had any lessons. We received no communications regarding second lockdown, no idea what's going on, not responding to emails... There's no where for parents to sit and wait while children are taking swimming lessons. Parking is not always easy. Can't be bothered anymore we've signed up somewhere else.

Like this place but boiler broken so no showers after swim and the pool is rather dated and tatty in some areas. Love the kids library though. Parking close by and FREE.

I was referred to Zest through my GP . I met up with Caroline who went through everything with me in a very friendly manner. Looking forward to starting my plan in January. New Year New me.

Great place, highly recommend the swimming lessons for children, the swimming teachers are lovely and do a great job.

Somewhat disorganised but a really lovely and unusual venue.

It's not really crowded good swimming pools but they should get new books for the kids section and adults and for the computer room never glitches and good service

Great swimming center with a good gym for those who fell they need a workout

Houses a library - voluntary led but open everyday (some days are not staffed but access still possible) and a swimming pool. Has rooms for hire and a great range of services such as kids activities, work clubs and courses, health courses etc. Great community resource.

Offers women only gym and swimming sessions. Friendly staff and library for kids.

Staff seamed clueless we asked for some info and the guy on reception had to go and ask a supervisor then came back and gave us what turned out to be incorrect info.

Called to join the swimming baths found the assistant very helpful and friendly so we are now ready to go

The staff showed me around the gym and pool so I could decide of I wanted to sign up. Also the cafe is amazing it's based next to the library and you pay what you feel is the right amount for food and drink which is a brilliant idea.

Amazing centre that offers lots of classes and support to the community.

This is a fantastic community space. In a time when there are so few - Zest is really making this work, whether it be for swimming lessons or to go to the library.

I love swimming here. It's old fashioned and a bit frayed around the edges but clean . The life guards are friendly and it has very good disabled facilities eg a hoist and a ramp to get in and out. The seperate sessions sre well organised.

Chief executive was very understanding solving an issue.
Most staff are friendly. However, Some staff need extra customer service training (Smile please) and have the right attitude to work with people.
Could do with more maintenance of the ladies gym.
One staff has stated that you cannot workout with a friend!
Im sorry but you will lose customers.

Handy as its Just 2minutes walk from my house. Not too busy as the way i like it. Too crowded places is Hard to keep clean.

Good resource for the community - library, sports and swimming pool.

Lots of druggies here! They quite aggressively beg and ask you for money.
Also full of asylum seekers

rubbish been ther loads for muscle build up not accepted last time new manager said i cud be a danger to my self after referal from physio and docs
