They where sooo nice! My doggy was well taken care of. She got spayed and I was very worried, however they explained everything in detail and made me feel very comfortable. I picked her up a little early and she was ready and very happy! The prices where less than half of my vet and I honestly felt more welcomed here! Highly recommend them! Very clean too!

No expansive for the shots. Very clean. They do have cleaning for the dogs in case they have piea.

The attention, the prices and especially the work in the surgeries is excellent always sterilized my pets there and they recover quickly and well.

They we're just great. For the volume of people that go through, they were still kind and gentle with my little guy. I know how strapped they are for resources. The only thing I would love to see is treats for the dogs to calm them down. My guy was freaking out, and lucky that I carry my own nerdy treat bag. It helps calm down stressed puppies. They should consider having that handy in the exam rooms. But overall it was a good experience.

The building inside/outside is clean. there's enough staff to handle the animals and is well managed. Once a year they offer neutering/spade and a chip for $20. That alone is wonderful. Also, once a month for people who qualify for low income, can get pretty good,treats,toys,cat litter,etc.... Very community oriented, nice place, nice people.

The system they have set up for the drop in clinic is really good ... Gets people in and out quickly at most a hr wait ...

Plenty of parking easy-to-access from the freeway clean warm welcoming the staff are great the veterinarians are gentle and knowledgeable and there are bathrooms that are clean

Had my girls spayed here this month. Staff and process was easy, vet checked the dogs before surgery, and everyone was nice. Printed forms at home before going in for appointments. Would recommend them.

Great service and prices for canine vaccines and feline vaccines. Spay neuter surgery available. Plenty of parking in lot. Handicap accessible parking and entrance.

Took my pup there on a Tuesday for their drop-in vaccination. The cost was $37 for 2 shots. The whole process took about 15 minutes. It was well worth the drive from SF to Oakland. Paying for the bridge toll and gas was so much less than if I had taken my pup to SF spca. They wanted $50 for office visit for first time patient and another $24 for each shot.

Service was actually pretty good but the place is kind of dirt. Pee on the floor that nobody cleaned up

I would recommend this place for pet vaccinations since they're typically a lot more affordable than your typical vet and they don't try to up-sell you with more than what you asked for.

Their usual times for drop-in vaccinations are Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10am-2pm (they occasionally change a date, but their site will be updated to reflect this).
There are pros and cons to the drop-ins... it's nice to not have to plan ahead of time and make an appointment, but it can also get pretty busy and the waits can become long.

Waiting room has plenty of chairs, but when you have a few talkative dogs in a limited enclosed space, it can start feeling crowded real fast.

Once you get there, you grab a number from the ticket dispenser next to the front desk and wait to be called (they also have a display of the current count next to the entrance). After your lucky number has been called, you check in at the front desk to figure out what vaccinations are needed, pay, and wait for your pet's name to be called. Getting the vaccinations themselves are usually pretty quick, just a few minutes.

Personal interactions with the staff have always been pleasant, so I'll probably continue to bring my dog here for his vaccinations.

Came in to take advantage of a free service for Oakland residents and came away with the Dude's huevos intact. All good. A nice experience nonetheless. Thank you kind folks.

I had both my dogs spay and neuter over there. Employees are excellent. Doctors are exceptional nice. My dogs love it there. They also have low cost spay/neuter service. Please check for detail. Next door is a dog hotel. The Citizen Canine,it is a very good place for room and broad for your fur child.

I went here to get a bordetella vaccine for my german shepherd. They have a low cost vaccine clinic on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I didn't want an exam for my perfectly healthy dog which my vet requires, and greatly increases the cost of the visit. So we came here.walked into the clinic, took a number. Only 1 vaccine clinic patient before me. They signed me up at the desk, where I paid less than $20. That left me so much money ahead I could leave a pretty good sized donation. About 5 minutes later my dog had the new experience of a nasal vaccine. The vet handed me my invoice and I was done! Normally I wait 20+ minutes for an invoice at my vet. Your mileage may vary, depending on how busy they are. I am sure Saturday is much busier.

They were very organized and great with the animals. The place was clean and plenty of parking. The only problem I had was they forgot to put on the flea treatment I payed for. I asked him when my dog was brought out and he said no but then took him back and put it on her. So far I'm pleased with them. I had a cat spayed there years ago with no problems. I highly recommend.

Brought my 3 kittens to get them fix but it was a no go because one was about to be taken in to get fixed but one cough and you tell me it coughing problem. We have them meds that was prescribed to them and had the nerve to say "your meds aren't working" and told me the buy their meds that same for a higher price!! Im trying to get these kittens found in my yard fix so no more strays will end up in the street but noooo you want my money tell me "oh the eyes are also so hazy" here take our meds that are same thing that you got but a higher price.

Expert service for all four of our cats. I donate quite a bit every year to them because of the great job they do for both Contra Costa and Alameda county. Highly recommend.

Our rescue group frequent here for spay/neuter. The difficulty is getting the appointment over the telephone, and it is often quicker to visit them in person to make appointments. Once the appointment is made, prices are great and service is always professional with very capable staff.

Apparently you need to arrive at 3 am to get a spot for this program. I arrived at 7:30 am on the dot for the 7:30-8:30am check in period and was turned away at the parking lot and told to come back in July.

East Bay SPCA took exceptional care of our fur baby. It is a clean facility and the staff was made sure I was comfortable leaving my pet for her surgery.

We absolutely love this business as it offers high quality services at below market prices. You must be patient with wait times. If you go during the week you can get in and out within 30 minutes.

The staff was super friendly and made me feel like my kitty was in great hands. He was well taken care of and came home happy and healthy even after being neutered. Thank you SPCA for helping keep the pet population under control.

Went in for the Saturday pet clinic to get my puppy vaccinated. Entire visit was about 45 mins including wait and registration. Wasn't bad. Plenty of parking. Easy to find right off Hegenberger. Staff was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. I scheduled a follow up appt for his next shots. Prices are pretty reasonable. I would definitely recommend.

Clean, inexpensive, kind/knowledged staff and usually efficient process. Minus one star for the location and the exterior amenities. Not much grass or place for dogs to roam and relieve themselves.

Been trying but not succeeding to make an appointment with them for the past month but no one has reached out to us to either make the appointment or ensure us our online appointment went through. No communication whatsoever despite leaving voicemails and doing the online stuff they ask you to do with their voice automated system. Your secretary or who ever is in charge of the desk needs to answer the phone or make the effort to call back otherwise you just lose a business opportunity to make money. In the meantime we have to find another place for our pets to be seen.

If you arrive just before opening on Saturdays/Tuesdays, you can be in and out fairly quickly, otherwise, it can be a super stressful stressful environment (only due to typical pets waiting in their boxes/crates, etc) Can definitely save some $$ on vaccines here!

I love their drop in vaccine clinic. No appointment necessary. Mercury free vaccines and they send you vaccine reminders.

Went to the ASPCA for the "no appointment vaccinations", held on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I was able to get my dog vaccinated and boostered quickly and inexpensively. Staff was excellent. They assisted their clients quickly and efficiently. They did this in a friendly manner. Good customer service at an excellent price. Thank you.

This place was nice and clean. Other than that the people were nice.

They don't even deserve a star but that's the lowest the rating can go! Don't take your pets here there isn't not one person in there that is helpful when you need your pets to get checked out.

This is wonderful place if u dnt wnt to break the bank for vaccinations and neutering. They even have a neutering program for oakland residents that cant afford it. Staff are professional and kind.

Went to take my baby in for his vaccinations during their Saturday shot clinic. Even though it was busy things were so well ran and organized that even with our 1 o'clock arrival (the clinic is from 10-2) that we waited no longer than 20 minutes before it was our turn. The staff was, as always, amazing. I would recommend to anyone to take their pet here.

Took my dog here to get her spayed, they did a great job in the work and in educating for after treatment.

I was recommended to go to this placd by a friend..staff was great informational through the night my 7mo pup wasnt acting rite i took him two days later to his vet he had a slight infection and fever
So she gave him antibiotics to give him twice a day with food since hes still not acting rite wont eat or drink wants to go somewhere n hide be alone i just dont know what to do i will be calling EBSPCA give them a peice of my mind this is my second dog i had neutered no problems with him ( but also went to a vet with him)
My baby shouldnt be acting like this hes had all his shots and has been a healthy lively pup now hes totally different im soo soo mad and feel helpless

Plan your appointments. They are very busy. I've had two animals spayed here. No, complications and they are professional. I get the feeling they really care about animals.

Friendly and caring. Easy to get to with a lot of parking. Check-in process is a bit of a wait.

The wait is about 30 minutes, it takes about 3_5 minutes to complete.

I can't complain about the price of the service nor the excellent help I received from the veterinarian.

I understand it is a clinic but the hours for the shot clinic are very tight. Thursday and Saturday from 10-2.

One other thing is the receptionist could try and be more cordial than a DMV clerk.

Didn't get my cats their shots because of time and day I went got turned away
