Absolute nightmare. Not sure where to begin with the PTA program and the facilities upper management. If they can't even get an interview together how do you think they will be during the program?
If you are applying to the PTA program know that not all of your clinical rotations will be offered as promised (sure they will say Gurnick is ahead of the game with required clinical hours and we only need a certain amount to graduate but if you were promised 3 rotations, you should be getting that well earned experience because that's where you learn the most, not from the school. The tuition really is too expensive to be paying for a crumby online class when PT is hands on. Don't expect to get adequate hands on lab hours either.
Yes it is COVID, but Gurnick really is the wrong place to be going to. Most of the original faculty is gone and seem desperate when trying to find people to teach the courses (if they can't find anyone, the current staff teaches it even if they are not the most suitable) and at this point it is the blind leading the blind. Go to any other PTA school but here, save yourself.
Also, some of the staff don't wear masks in the building and even the person checking you in daily from Student Services wasn't wearing one because he didn't think he needed to?
