Tremendous service from Marianna our 'tour guide'. This Eagles Trace location has been described as a cruise ship on land. The culture is positive and full of energy. #1 reason the elderly live longer? Social activity is the answer and they have it! Mom's not always right. She said she would never live in a place like this. One visit and she was hooked. Thank you Marianna.

Eagle's Trace is a community that enhances Earl's and my lifestyle. The two years we have lived here have proven to be all that we were promised.

All the activities keep our spirits alive and well. If a person wanted to, they could continually be busy doing things the entire day. The best part of the experience are the people. Residents and staff interact like family. The staff at ET work diligently to meet our needs and desires.

We like "The Trace" and all it has to offer. Come and join us in a wonderful living environment.

HORRIBLE!!! Everyone is sweet and helpful during the 'sales process', but then you're on your own. They promise to 'take care of our loved ones for life' IF they put down a large sum on an apartment, but when they really need to be cared for, they try and fit people where ever there is space.

My father WAS NOT CARED FOR!! He was moved to Continuing Care where I have never seen so many bruised and banged up people in one place in my life. Sooo sad! After less than 48 hours there, he was a shell of the man who walked in on his own a day or so before. It took about 6 months to almost get him back to himself.

We moved him out and still haven't received the 'refundable down payment (less 10%)' back on the apartment he moved out of 8 months ago!

Steer clear if you think there will ever be a need for Continuing Care Assisted Living or Memory Care!!!

When it became apparent that I had to move my 80 y...

When it became apparent that I had to move my 80 year old parents with dementia into an assisted living facility, my wife and I researched providers for months. Eagle s Trace stood out by far as the best choice. My parent s needs are significant, our facility expectations are high, and the staff at ET continues to rise to meet each challenge we present. We are daily grateful that we did not make the mistake of moving them into any other place.

They re in a safe gated community with no house-related worries (crime, maintenance, repairs, bills, etc). Their apartment is spacious and comfortable. Pets are welcome. The staff is are respectful, polite, and caring. There are lots of things to do an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and many scheduled activities, so they can choose to be active or to relax.

Card and other games (good for dementia patients) are ongoing throughout the day, they have arts and crafts, there s an on-site movie theater, and weekly bus excursions off-campus for lunch. A shuttle can take them, accompanied by an aide, to the independent living center where they have access to their bank, the library, the pool and hot tub, the drugstore, and the salon.

One of our biggest reliefs is that the center provides full medication management. All prescriptions are delivered to them when and how prescribed, without my parents ever having to touch them. This has helped improve their health significantly. Contributing to their improved health, dietitian-managed meals are prepared and served fresh, with several choices. They can eat in one of the dining rooms to enjoy the social interaction and can also be served in their apartment if they can t make it to a dining room. Healthy snacks are available at all hours.

One of the best offerings of ET is their age-in-place capability. My parents actually started in independent living but after three months it became clear that they weren t capable of independent living. In most other facilities they would have had to leave and move into an entirely new living center. But at ET, it meant just a short move down the street to the Bayou Vista Continuing Care building for an apartment in assisted living. If their mental health deteriorates, Bayou Vista has an onsite memory care facility which means only another short move that doesn t require them leaving the facility. They also have onsite Physical Therapy and a Skilled Nursing center. We have confidence that this is truly the place where my parents can live for the rest of their lives.

Please do your homework prior to making your decision. Go to nursing home compare on Medicare.gov and search. Make sure you review the state surveys so you can make an informed decision. You may be surprised at the care issues versus what you think you would be receiving at this facility.

I visited nearly every senior community on the west side of Houston before coming here and have been so impressed with Eagle's Trace. The people who work here are very friendly, and the people who live here have made me feel so welcomed. They have so many amenities as well as physical therapy and nursing care if needed. Eagle's Trace is a beautiful community and have recommended it to several friends!

The Best Retirement Community. First you get greeted Que at the front gate, a lovely young lady who is always happy. She will direct you where you need to go after getting the guest information for security. We visit the Assisted Living Facility. Donyell does a wonderful job making sure the Assisting Living Residents have the opportunity to join in a wide variety of activities. Or not depending on their mood. The food service is very good, and their are other dining facilities to choose from when family comes to visit. We have been extremely pleased with the care and professionalism provided by Eagles Trace. Most importantly, my Mother-in-Law loves the care she receives. We cannot thank Que, Donyell, Brook'Lyn and the rest of the team enough.

I am not sure where to begin. There are so many good things to say about this place. The staff is some of the most respectful, polite and caring people I have ever met. The community is kept up very well. You can tell they take a lot of pride in the community. They are always quick to respond to any concerns our family has. Eagle's Trace has been a blessing to our parents as well as our family. It is such a relief to know that our parents being well taken care of. We spent a lot of time researching different communities and talking to staff members at various retirement communities and this place is hands down the best in our humble opinion. They may not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Honestly for the level of service our parents receive, the ease of dealing with staff, and the peace of mind we get, this place is a bargain! If you are looking for a quality retirement community where you (or your parents) can enjoy their golden years, look no further. I plan on retiring here myself down the road. Thank you to all the staff at Eagles Trace for all the great work you do.

Our parents did not have an option such as Eagle's Trace so it makes it even more special. The worry free environment with no hassles of repairs, replacement, etc allows for more "living"! Lots of activities, different dining venues and friendly people, both residents and staff. It is a fabulous place to live and truly embodies the "live the life" concept!

This is a great place. My wife and I came here after Hurricane Harvey destroyed our home in Dickinson, Texas. We lived temporarily in an apartment in Dickinson until June 2018 and then moved into a great apartment at Eagles Trace. First, the staff could not have been more helpful.making the move and transition to our new home and community successful.. We were supported every step of the way. Second, the Community is filled with wonderful, friendly people. We have met so many great people who have been willing to include us in their activities, invite us to dinners, and help us to become a part of so many things available here. Eagles Trace provides everything from on side medical support, security, great dining, interesting educational classes, fun playing things like shuffleboard and being entertained by the Eagle Trace Strummers. This facility offers so much, all on campus, and very convenient.to use. I have already highly recommend Eagles Trace to friends and Naval Academy shipmates.

I have been happy here since day #1. I don't have to worry anymore about taking care of a house and yard nor do I have to cook dinner and clean up afterwards! I don't have to pay utility bills, lawn service fees, and taxes. I have so many interesting, educational, and entertaining things to do every day that my calendar is full. Pets are welcome and my cat loves being on the screened balcony and watching the world go by. My daughter feels that I have a greater amount of safety than I did at home by myself. Moving here was a really good decision for me.

My mom had excellent physical therapy at Eagle's Trace. She has been able to walk again after hip surgery. The administrators, nurses, and other staff members are very nice. I am especially grateful to Veronica, one of the nurses, for her caring attitude. My mom had a lot of needs due to her dementia and Veronica even gave me tips for her after care. She is wonderful! I really liked the cleanliness and organization.

I have been working for Eagle's Trace for about 3 years. I started as a server my junior year of high school and then advanced myself to a hostess and currently work between bartending and hosting. I pretty much know every single resident, what they like, who they like, what they like to drink. The years have passed but to me it still feels like the first day. I love coming in to work because the relationships I have allowed myself to build with the residents is special and truly fulfils me. I am passionate about them and my work. If somone says they hate working for Eagle's Trace it's because they haven't allowed themselves to build relationships with staff or the residents. Even if managament fails, the reasons to stay are far greater.

My Dad has lived here for a long time. He has gone from an apartment, to continuing care, to the memory unit. ET is a great place to live for seniors. I recommend it highly if you can afford it. The food is super, which is important at any age. 80% of the staff treat the residents with the respect and love they deserve. But there are a few who do not care as they should. The living quarters are very nice, not fancy, but very comfortable. The grounds are well kept and are as beautiful as West Houston can be. The security is excellent, which is also important. The Medical care is very good, and I think the residents get better care than they would at their local physician because the medical staff at ET have expertise in treating the elderly. The financial aspect of ET is a pretty good deal. There seems to be zero impropriety, and the apartments buy and sell just like condos do. The monthly fee is expensive, but it provides a whole lot. When you get to continuing care and the memory unit, things get very expensive, and you will need a lot of savings. The activities seem to be well suited to the elderly. Most residents are quite happy with ET, and the staff at ET do a decent job communicating with family of the residents.

Do not bring your loved one here. They get you on ...

Do not bring your loved one here. They get you on the hook by making all these claims about what they can do but it is smokes and mirrors. They want your money. They claim they are an "at will" facility but use this as an excuse to not do their jobs. They also do not communicate or coordinate with outside providers of care. My uncle was in this facility. During the course of his stay, they let him lay in urine and feces for days, did not provide regular baths, they (nurses not doctors) manipulated his medication schedules, would not return update calls in cases more than 24 hours, would not check on him routinely, would not warm up the food we would bring, misdiagnosed him when he was already diagnosed, and ignored his concerns. We had to step in and do the work. Where is the care you are paying for? Several members from staff from social workers, nurses, to administration have literally told us and been caught in lies which is not only unethical but extremely alarming. Once we began to bring this concern up, they tried all these shady tricks to force us out. How about addressing the problems? The place looks nice on the exterior but it is just to cover up their communication lackings, ineffectiveness, and extreme inefficiencies. My uncle's health declined in the place in less than 30 days. Even though some of the staff (small portion) is pleasant, overall the majority we have encountered are not equipped to provide quality care.Stay away.

We moved in 3 weeks ago and really expected to like it. Well, we LOVE it! Our expectations were pretty high and Eagle's Trace has exceeded them. It's not easy to move from a golf course community with a golf cart in your garage to Senior Living but if you have to do that - come to Eagle's Trace. They don't have a golf course - they do have a small putting green - but everything is done right. Also, the food is fantastic.

Joanne and I are coming up on four years here at Eagle's Trace. I.m so glad we made the decision to move here. We looked at almost a dozen other retirement communities here in Houston as well as Dallas, San Antonio and even some in Alabama. Eagle's Trace was our choice and we haven't regretted it. The way the community operated during Hurricane Harvey and during the current COVID issues were above expectations. We're here for life!

We have a choice of 4 eating places two formal restaurants, a cafe, and a pub. For convenience, we have a clinic, a pharmacy, a bank, a convenience store, and a salon on campus. No doubts about the people whom have chosen to work here. They are all cheerful, helpful, honest & hard workers. The residents are open, warm, friendly, helpful and glad to live here. I have lived here for almost 5 years, and have never regretted living here for a single second. My old cat & I adapted to everything immediately. We both love our apartment, and I love the common areas (both inside & out.) I highly recommend this great community to all!

Eagles Trace is a wonderful place to enjoy retirement living! They have really thought of everything: a gated community, onsite doctors, pharmacy, convenience store, post office and gym. There are also many social activities planned. There are two restaurants, one casual and one more formal with great food! It's conveniently located near many stores, mall, movie theater, etc. The rooms are spaceous and they have covered and uncovered parking available. Elevators for convenience and everyone is very friendly and helpful. I have a relative living there and it is very comfortable. I highly recommend it for those looking for a place to live in their golden years!

My wife and I are residents recently moving into our apartment home at the newly opened Galveston Crossing one of seven buildings providing independent living apartments for seniors ages 62 and up. The staff at Eagle's Trace were extremely accommodating making the move to this community as effortless as possible. We love our apartment with it's beautiful view of the grounds and lake surrounding the building. The food is good, the residents are nice, and there's lots of activities for us to enjoy. We are extremely satisfied with the move and know we will be happy here. Eagle's Trace motto is" home for life" and that's true!

Leaving a treasured home and downsizing can be tough, but after three years of living at Eagles Trace I don't regret it. I have a beautiful apartment with every amenity, enjoy a lush landscaped park-like setting complete with a stocked lake and walking trails, great neighbors who care for each other, and staff that knows your name and after a while, which wine you're going to order at the :Pub. (Yes, we have a Pub besides four other dining venues).

This is a friendly place. We eat out together, cheer on the Astros or go to the Symphony, tell great stories, and when things go wrong, support each other through illnesses. We can have pets here. We can hop a bus and go between buildings on the campus or go group trips/ v We have a management team that is accessible to hear feedback, suggestions and complaints. We are heard.

The people who live here come from different backgrounds and careers. There is always something new to learn, whether in a class or sitting across the table from a new friend at meals. There are more than 100 activities. If you don't see something you want to join, you can create your own.
