The location is amazing - right off the river and a few blocks from downtown Durango. However, our room wasn't very clean. It wasn't the worst I've been in but it could have been cleaner. I'd stay again though if the price is right.

NOT IMPRESSED! Check in service was very polite and courteous. Outdoors were well maintained.
We went to the room. It was very obvious the room previously hosted smokers.
It says there is internet available. Unable to connect. Spent minutes trying to contact front desk staff for further instructions . They were very short with me. I followed the prompts to connect & still nothing.
Television was difficult to navigate a 25 year old system.

The hotel itself was clean and in a great location due to its proximity to downtown. The rooms are pretty dated and would benefit greatly from some trendy updates, including room refrigerators, furniture, and decor. Applebee s is located on site which is very convenient and all the usual hotel amenities are readily available. My stay were pleasant and I would recommend based on location and prices.

I will never stay here again!!! Beds are very hard, hot tub was closed, oh can t forget the homeless people walking around the parking lot, so yeah I felt really safe (not)., tried calling the front desk, had to google the phone number and call from my cell phone because the phone didn t work in our room, we needed extra blankets because the room stayed at a constant 65 degrees with the heater ON!
Overall bad stay and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Apparently they have a problem with the card keys. I am a pretty patient guy but it is a huge pain in the ass to walk a quarter of a mile back to the lobby to have them rekey the card. Anytime we left and came back it didnt work, it did not work when we first checked in. The employees handle it well but the owner needs to step up and fix this.

Great location just steps from the Animas River Trail. The room was just ok. Average size. It said no smoking but the room smelled like smoke. Stayed in a courtyard room. Be prepared lots of dogs in the courtyard grass area taking potty breaks a little barking going on. But nothing that was annoying owners were respectful. I was going to book a Animas River view room glad I did not. The second floor was closed and the bottom floor room views would be of your car. The parking is in front of your room. So, not much of a view. The price difference at the time was 40.00 more to stay in a River View room.

Wonderful courtyard to relax in, pool and hot tub clean and good temps. Only oatmeal and coffee provided for breakfast, but the attached Applebee's is open until 1am for late night homecomings. Rooms are clean, pet fee is extremely reasonable. Front desk staff is so nice, and will do anything they can to meet your request. Walking distance to everything in town -even with toddlers-.

they double billed me for my room . booked 3 rooms. told them 3 or 4 times to make sure to charge the other people for the 2 other rooms they said ok , told them i'm only paying for one room . they didn't. then it shows up on my credit card. ask them to take it off they say they can't. won't stay there again!!!!

Classic from National Lampoon's 'Vacation'!

Classic from National Lampoon's 'Vacation'!
Clean with great view of the Animas River with direct access to the Riverwalk - however, no fans in the bathrooms or even a sprinkler system for for suppression. The hot tub and pool are a plus!

The main selling point of this place is that it's among the most affordable of the hotels in central Durango. The cheaper places are all at least a mile or of town, which is inconvenient if you're going to have a drink with dinner.

The room was adequately sized and completely clean. I was surprised to find no fringe in the room, but more often that not I don't use them and the noise of the compressor running can be disturbing.

The hotel has and indoor pool and hot tub, which were fine save for the horde of unsupervised children, although the hotel cannot be blamed for this.

We booked last minute. Arrived late in the evening. Room was clean and comfortable. This visit was just as the pandemic was starting so masks weren't required at the time. This place is right on the river. We plan on trying to get back there as soon as the pandemic gets cleared.

Great location, beautiful indoor pool and jacuzzi, nicely furnished rooms and manicured property. Insufficient parking on busy holidays, business center not working 8+months, and several lackadaisical front desk employees are my only complaints.

I enjoyed my stay but when I tried to resolve an issue with being billed x 2. Tried resolving issue with person working whom stated they were a manager and also did finances for the Inn, wouldn't give me their name or managers name and rudely answered my questions and hung up on me. I'd expect this out of a fast food place but not an Inn. After she yelled at me , I'm sure a coworker walked up because her tone changed and she started stating I was yelling and cussing, when I was the only one whom maintained a calm demeanor. Since my days in the Marine Corps I pride myself in always maintaining tact. I don't yell or cuss. I hope a supervisor see's this review. She wouldn't give me her name or supervisors name.

Icy welcome

Icy welcome
Talking about a factory to a tourist is minimalist
Strictly no soundproofing and on Friday night workers going up to their rooms with packs of beer
Imagine what it's like at 2 a.m.
Never again
Avoid at all costs

Had to wait 3 hours to get into a clean room that we reserved a week in advance. One receptionist was really helpful, the other said we wouldn't receive compensation for waiting, right before her helpful colleague rectified the issue with us. Depends on who you get.

First room we checked into we were hit by a wave of stale, musty, and maybe even smoke filled air. Requested a 2nd room and it was almost as bad. It was late so we dealt with it. Took 2 days before the room started to smell like it was aired out. As other comments indicated rooms are dated but seemed clean except for perhaps the carpets. WiFi reception in room was terrible. Would not stay again.

We stayed here 2 years ago. Its definitely not a five star. Its in real need of updates in the rooms! And refrigerators! But if you get a room in back, on the river...its Lovely! The rooms are clean, comfortable and don't smell!

Dveri at the front desk was amazingly helpful. She got us into a room in 5 minutes from call to signing.

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. I would most definitely stay here again.

Price for room is extremely do-able compared to others in the area.

The location is prime, right in the center of downtown. Price was reasonable for the location. The only thing I didn't like was the room I was in had no fridge. Don't make the mistake and eat at Applebee's.

We payed around $130 for a king size bed at the government/military rate. The attendants at the front desk were friendly and recommended restaurants, etc.
The room was clean and nice (except for not having an exhaust fan in the bathroom). The hotel is right next to the river walk and just a short few blocks from the downtown attractions. There is no breakfast provided, so plan on going to a nearby diner or the Applebee's next door if you like overpriced chain restaurants.
