Service technician just left. Called to have my system cleaned and service, no cleaning or servicing happened. They took one look at the age (19 years) and gave up without trying. No evidence that fan or coil was inspected, yet they recommended a coil and fan replacement. Service guy was patronizing. Will never call again.
This company is a SCAM. Stay far away, a part did not work from the beginning and now they are asking for half the price of the whole unit for a basic repair that they admit it takes half an hour. They claim that they have good quality products and services but it is all a fraud. They are refusing to cover the warranty that is clearly noted as 10 years. These are very difficult times for every body and they are trying to gain by stealing from trusting customers. Will file complaints.

When our furnace died unexpectedly, they sent a technician within an hour of calling them. He determined that we needed a new furnace, so the estimator got to us in a couple of hours. The next day the new furnace was installed and we had heat. Everyone was very professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. Pricing was fair.
As a result of new furnace installation a small natural gas leak occurred.
I failed to detect it for quite a while although there was a slight odour.
Finally noticed by an electrical repairman from another company as he entered our basement.
Called Dunn and repair was completed quickly.
Phoned their service department asking how this could happen. Told small leaks are not uncommon.
Asked service rep if there is a natural gas alarm available that could be purchased.
He said natural gas alarms are not made. Detection is by smell.
I looked up on Amazon and there are numerous alarms for natural gas available both battery and hard wire powered from $25 and up.
Why would I be told this?
I needed reassurance and did not get it.

We were in need a new Air Conditioner this past summer when the temperatures and humidity were very high. Dunn's were prompt to come and give us an estimate and we had our AC unit and furnace replaced within 5 days of the quote. $76.28 to come to my home to tell me they don't service a Portable A/C, details that was known when the appointment was booked with Dunn Heating.
I received a call claiming they were unaware it was a Portable A/C, however every company I reached out to I DID give the brand and model to ensure
1. it could be fixed
2. the repair person had the necessary parts to fix the unit quickly
Seems this is more of an issue of faulty in-house communication and I'm charged for their shortcomings - literally, with a threat of going to collections less than a week after I contacted Dunn about the invoice received!
$76.28 is very expensive means to be told in person a company doesn't service ANY Portable A/C Units. I would have preferred to be told over the phone when I could have made other arrangements instead of waiting.
Add to this, the invoice wasn't sent until 2 months AFTER the service call. Delay in invoice + threat within a week of questioning the invoice ...
These types of situations leave a lasting impression.
Professional, professional, professional. You may pay a bit more for Dunn compared to those other guys, but you get what you pay for with Dunn a job very well done as it should be. The guys were very courteous, cleaned up after their work, did a very nice clean job, and did what they said they would and what I had asked them to do. All in all I m a very satisfied customer!
I was very impressed by the level of knowledge and professionalism of the Dunn team from the first sales person right up until the job was completed by their technicians . The price was very reasonable and we were 100 percent satisfied with the entire experience. I highly recommend this company, they truly go above and beyond for their clients.

My pilot light went out on my gas fireplace that heats my condo main floor. Called the 24 hour service that sent Gary over within an hour. Gary was great, fixed the issue within 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the pilot light went out that evening after 8 pm. Called the 24 hour service that guarantees a call back within 1 hour on the website. The call went straight to the office. I called a couple if times but still went straight to the office number. I did leave a few messages on the office number. I ended up going without heat for the night. Called next morning before 8, still went to office number. Called Gary at the number on my call display. He was over with 30 minutes. Never heard from the company on why their 24 hour number did not work on one of the coldest nights. Not impressed at all. If it was not for Gary I would if been without heat for longer and out money as I would called another company. What happened to great customer service??? A call from the company apologizing for the error would made a big differnce.

No-Showed!
Called at 1015, the furnace was not functioning and it's -16 out. Said they'll get in touch soon. I slept on the couch waiting for their call and heard nothing. Called back at 6 to ask what the deal was and lady just interrupts me and puts me on hold.
Based on the way she was speaking to me, she'd maybe just got out of bed and was mad I woke her. I hung up.
Doesn't really cut it for a 24/7 business. Still haven't called me back so I guess they aren't coming?
Great service and product. Our upstairs used to be unbearable in hot summer day, not anymore .

An estimator came out 2 weeks ago and said they would have a quote to me the following week by email. I still haven't received a quote and now we're going ahead with another company. Wayne was very knowledgeable and friendly but I am disappointed about no follow up.

I had a new furnace and first time air conditioning installed, so new holes in my brick walls and new white piping running through my basement (tucked up and out of the way) A beautiful job. Every experience along the way had been top notch professional. From Bill doing the estimation and consulting, to Grant and Alex doing the install. They were prompt, detailed, courteous and respectful of my house. They left everything exactly the way they found it. The quality workmanship is evident in all of the little details. The quote was comparative to 2 other companies I had quotes from so I have no doubt that this was great value with exceptional service!

The result is awesome. The quality of the work is first rate. We try to support local businesses. We chose Dunn because it is a family owned, local business with a good reputation.

I called Dunn Heating to get an old AC disconnected and removed from my property. (Very) Un-friendly staff, obviously not focused on client's experience.
Beside, the technician gave me a quote 33% higher than the initial one, and finally, after looking into the unit in "depth", ended up refusing to do the service, making me understand he would make more money working on a heating systems because of the seasonal high demand.
As I took a full day off to receive him, I suggested to at least disconnect the unit, and even offered my help to speed up the process for his other calls. He refused, and left. No "sorry", not even "goodbye". He even left my AC open with pieces on the floor, and have now to figure out what goes where.
I am used to work with contractors on a regular basis. I never saw a company handling their customers that way!
I would highly recommend using Dunn Heating. They responded right away when I contacted them about my furnace. They were great to work with and made getting a new furnace in the dead of winter as hassle free as possible. All the people I worked with were super friendly and helpful, they were a please to work with. Hopefully my furnace won't break in the winter again anytime soon, but if it does i'll be calling Dunn to help.

Gary just left our home after doing a professional job on replacing our blower motor on our York Furnace.
Why I am frustrated to the extreme is because I phoned the night before at 10:00 pm and was told that a service man would be calling me shortly. I did not get the call until just before 9:00 am the next morning and by then my house temperature was down to 54 degrees F. Gary informed us that he was not phone till this morning. This is what is says on your website:
"Our technicians are specially trained to quickly and efficiently detect and correct virtually any problem that may arise 24 hours a day"
Major problem with communication! I phoned at 10:00 PM the day before because your site states that you are open 24 hours. And I was up until 3:30 am waiting for a call back! It would have been greatly appreciated if the gentleman who I spoke with first stated that I would not be getting a call back till the next day!
Then, I am informed that I was going to be charged extra for weekend visit and I can only pay by credit card! It says right on the bottom of your receipt that I can pay by cash, cheque, visa or mastercard

Needed a new AC and called Dunn Heating for a quote. Wayne was extremely helpful during the initial call and both friendly and knowledgeable during a visit. He listened to our needs and recommended a solid unit that was within our price range. We set a date for install but due to a cancellation, install was done a week ahead of time (bonus!).
Installers were prompt, polite and respectful of the house, using drop sheets to protect the flooring. They got the AC up and running in a couple of hours. The AC is neatly installed and doing a fine job keeping us cool.

Purchased two furnaces from this company (a Carrier and then a Lennox). The Lennox furnace was leaking condensate. Called to have it looked at. Never even received a return call. Very disappointed with this company. I ended up using Delta Air Systems and had a completely different (and positive) customer experience. I do not recommend Dunn Heating.
They fixed our old furnace several times in the last winters and they were always very fast and professional.

Very impressed with the amount of prep work and measuring prior to the actual installation. There was no "on site" adjustments using a hammer etc. such as I have seen with other contractors. The two man crew worked quietly and efficiently and the job was done on time and cleanly. A small leaking problem was noted next day but was promptly repaired by another technician.
