Dukes in Huntington Beach doesn't compare to Dukes in Kuai. Love their fish tacos though... If you're new to Dukes I suggest the mahi mahi tacos on Taco Tuesday and hula pie to share.

What I dont suggest at Dukes in HB is their breakfast on a Saturday. I ordered crab benedict... poached eggs were well done and potatoes barely warm and tasted like they've been cooked for awhile. Not what I expected for a $17 breakfast. My server was awesome, doing what she could to remedy the best she could.

Sooooo Fun! Met my high school friend at Dogs Beach which is 5 minutes North of Duke's. After a glorious 2 hours of sun and sand, we we're VERY hungry. Where else would we go but DUKE'S?? I mean really! We were escorted to the patio, which is right on the beach and they totally welcomed us and our pups. Duke's has a canine menu too; feeling extremely generous, we ordered for them. Chicken or Beef? Kibble or no? We went for the chicken and asked to hold the kibble. No worries. They got fresh water as well. Of course it was gone in 60 seconds, but still. And what about us??? We had a hard time deciding, but went for a flatbread and a salad. Portions are huge. We had an absolutely excellent time. Loaded puppy into the car and he slept all the way home. We'll Be Back!!!!!

Great atmosphere, beautiful view, friendly service and good food. I went a few times. One was to visit with high school friends. They seated us in a special section and helped us create great memories.

Right at the entrance of Huntington beach pier. Great location, service, and delicious food from $18 to 40+ per dish. No air conditioning was a big minus for us visiting there today as it was so hot, humid and sticky. It was hard for us to fully enjoy the view, delicious food and our lovely friends.

Whenever we go to huntington beach we always come here to get a drink and we love it! We finally decided to eat here and we wanted to sit in the main dining area. The food was good but a little pricey. The bar serves both the bar menu and main dining food. Next time we'll try eating at the bar.

Main area seemed nice but the patio was fairly mundane. Ordered the sirloin and it was pretty tough. My husband's Mahi - Mahi was bland. Service was good but overall the food was overpriced probably due to the restaurant's location off the pier. Still, if you have "Steak and Seafood" on your sign....it should probably be excellent at $50/dinner.

(We were eating at the dukes barefoot bar before the main dining room opened) Perfect place to have a bite to eat after a day at the beach. It is also a wonderful place to enjoy the sunset. The food was a bit generic, but I would go back again.

We recently had a great corporate dinner and were able to take over the entire restaurant. The food was fantastic. Starters included amazing poke tuna tacos and dips. Mains had really good mahi mahi and a dish with pork and cabbage that was fantastic, complete with Hawaiian roles.

Good

Dukes is a Huntington Beach classic! I celebrate every single birthday here. It's a wonderful, happy, and relaxing atmosphere - and what better than to be surrounded by the beach! I will without a doubt be coming here for my next birthday (unless I celebrate my birthday again this month haha).

Fantastic fish tacos, three different kinds to choose from and very affordable, large pieces too so two might be plenty for the girls. Out door heated seating. Great staff. Nice bar also you can eat at. Really busy on a Tuesday night but still found a table in two minutes. Great Shirley Temples and fantastic Martinis. Affordable too

Dukes is a great place to grab an easy dinner with a great view of the ocean.

Went here for my birthday and they hooked us up with a table right next to the window the overlooks the pier and the ocean. We got a great view of the sun setting over the pier.

The service was friendly and they answered all my questions about the menu and gave great recommendations.

I had the dry rubbed prime rib and it was excellent. Not at juicy as usual, but I didn t mind because it have a great flavour and any jus on the side. The mashed potatoes weren t great, but I was full from the 14oz cut of prime rib anyways.

I also ordered a Mai Thai - a dukes classic cocktail. It wasn t the best mai Thai I ve ever had - it was sweet and a little weak. My husband got a margarita and it was way too salty. I suggest ordering a classic cocktail rather than one of their creations or simply just getting a glass of wine.

Overall, you can t go wrong. It s not high end, so if you re looking for a casual dinner with satisfying food, this is a great choice.

Also, I tried the pineapple upside down cake with Mac nut ice cream and it was insanely good.

The view is amazing, the service was excellent-my server made sure I had everything I needed including extra burre blanc to put on my veggies, and the food was some of the best seafood I have had. MacNut crusted Opa was even more delicious than I imagined when I read the menu. The bok choy Asian slaw was so amazing, I could have had seconds and thirds. Seeing as I grew up in New England, I know some good seafood when I taste it! Yum!

Pretty delicious tofu curry option for the vegetable eaters out there. Definitely recommended. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a delicious veggie item on Duke's menu. I would definitely order this again. Enjoy!

The food was actually ok for a place this busy and close to the beach. Unfortunately, the service is lacking as it took forever for our server to get to us.

We ordered a few appetizers and the $19.00 Duke's which is $15.00 overpriced. The burger tasted fine but it's small and just not a $19.00 burger.

After waiting an eternity for our burger it finally arrived but it was the wrong burger. To make matters worse our server asked if we'd like to have a fresh burger after the couple next to us had already touched our burger

I understand the close proximity to the beach offers hungry patrons a quick bite but Dukes misses the mark. Our server appeared to be overwhelmed and unenthusiastic.

I wouldn't recommend Dukes to anyone looking for anything other than drinks.

Had the Sunday brunch buffet. Food and drinks were delicious. Service from Zack was spot on. Add the perfect beach front location by the pier and overlooking the stand and it was a fantastic experience.

The Macadamia Nut encrusted Mahi Mahi was tender and delicious. I had a nice table overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Huntington Beach Pier. The Waitress , Asia, was excellent and on point w her service. Overall it was a very nice time !

Fine dining prices, budget dining cuisine. We've eaten at Duke's in San Diego, and Keoki's Paradise on Kauai, and both were miles better than Duke's HB. Pros: nice FOH staff and valet parking attendants. Cons: everything else. Food was almost universally over-seasoned. Calamari was odd and came with cocktail and tartar sauce. Poke tacos were overdone with too much shoyu and wasabi aioli. Banana leaf-wrapped fish and shrimp was inedible--too salty and too much sesame oil. Scallop special just ok. Panko-crusted fish was fine. Hula pie is dope. Mai Tai quite literally the worst I've ever had, and I consider myself a connoisseur of crummy island Mai Tais. So yeah, would not dine here again.
