I love Rock Center as a local. if you can't handle crowds don't come here during high tourist season 11/26-1/2. After 1/2, see the tree lit with much less ppl interested

It's a nice place to visit but it's so overcrowded that it's hard to justify visiting. Especially around the holiday/new year season.

Top of the Rock and the Ice Skating are great reasons to visit the Rockefeller Center. Definitely a tourist hot spot you must fit into your trip!

We went ice skating for the first time here and had a blast. The Xmas decorations we're beautiful.

Classic industrial americana. The Barber shop is really cool. Don't forget to look up when you ice skate.

The Christmas festivities at Rockefeller Center is definitely something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. Highly recommended.

Pricy but worth it. The views overlook both sides of Manhattan. Just below, hard to photograph, is St Patrick Cathedral. Great view of Central Park and north. You can also see both airports, LaGuardia and Kennedy visible from the top.
Unless someone invites you to a midtown penthouse, this is a hard to find viewpoint. Sunsets are breathtaking, as you can see!

B E A U T I F U L place. Very Iconic NYC and the Christmas tree was just what we always imagined when we watched home alone 2. This is a must see when in Manhattan.

No place like it in The World!!! Especially at Christmas time. Pictures are great, but being there is fantastic!!

The first thing we did after reaching the city of New York! A must place to go and watch the beautiful skyline with some jaw dropping views of the city! My God it was fun but hold on to your hats and caps it gets windy!!!

Always a great place to visit. Very busy. They were setting the tree up when I visited.

An NYC classic! Choc full of restaurants and shopping, it's a regular haunt for tourists. Beautiful, but not someplace you'd go if you're looking to get off the beaten path obviously.

Great view over the town, especially at the very top platform where no glass walls reflects for photos.
Arrange visiting early for less tourists

If you come to my Manhattan , you have to come to Rockefeller center plenty of cool stores around and you go downstairs and get something to eat ,restrooms n coffee shops everything you need.F train takes you here

What can I say! I've been coming since my dad and mom first took me to learn how to ice skate. I've always been fascinated by Rockefeller Center. Its history, its architecture, its public access artwork, the rainbow room, the observation tower and the surrounding complexes the gardens in the sky, it just goes on and on. I didn't plan on visiting but as you pass by it draws you right in. Enjoy the photos of some of the artwork I had the opportunity and time to take. Love this place and everyone should go because you can spend an entire day and still not see it all.

Crowded,but enjoyed Christmas decorations. Just way too crowded though.

Absolutely beautiful! The food is wonderful at the restaurants surrounding the area, as well. During the Holidays, the tree is truly a must see.

I love going to Rockefeller Center!! From the iconic skating rink to Rockefeller Plaza all the way up to the top of the Rock!! There is something around for everyone to do, depending on time of the day you could see The Today Show taping or get a tour of NBC studios. There are plenty of places to eat, sit and relax and shop including the new location for the famous FAO Schwartz. A definite can't miss on a trip to NYC!!

BETTER THAN EMPIRE! We went here yesterday and was a really great experience. In my opinion, as you can see I prefer this to empire. One of the main reasons is, because you can see the Empire! Not fair on the empire experience I know but is the most iconic part of the skyline. On Top Of The Rock you get 3 different viewing platforms. Recommend going to the top, it may be cold but well worth it!

Perfect place at Christmas time, come see the tree and do some skating

Tree was beautiful, people were in holiday spirits and I was lucky to be with family.

My 1st trip to NYC, and my tour guide (wife), scheduled everything! It was fantastic! Big fan of Liz Lemon, so 30 Rock was definitely on the list. It was a beautiful, clear day in September, and the views from the observation deck were incredible.

Obviously I came to see the famous Christmas tree and even on a cold rainy day it did not disappoint! So lovely and filled with lights! The icerink looked like a lot of fun if you have any coordination and interest in trying! Even in a bit of rain people were out experiencing all it had to offer!

Our tour of the Rockefeller centre was amazing. Our tour guy Shaun/Sean took us around the various buildings in the plaza including viewings from outside. He shared lots of facts and information about the centre that most of us didn t know. He kept things moving quickly and was a very cool guy who added humour into the tour. We learned about the date the buildings were built, the architects and about the Rockefeller family and much more. Highly recommended if you have a New York pass. Later on, we re going to experience the top of the rock.

Great view. However, even though you book for a certain time, there was a lot of lag. As the whole experience is quite expensive, that made it a bit less of a fantastic experience (it is acknowledged that the hosts try to ease that a bit with informative murals in the queuing area).

Always something going on, and depending on the time of day you might see street entertainment, though totally packed morning, noon and night. Changing innovative art placed in and around. I go for Penhaligon s perfume, a British company well worth a visit.

Too many tourists and annoying costume characters. It s not quite annoying like Times Square but close. It s the last place I d want to visit if I was visiting NYC . I guess it s good if you enjoy spending your money at expensive designer stores.

Best views of the city. Use the city go apps for easy access.
Also a great place to take a break and grab a bite.
Stores in the area not to miss is Nintendo NYC!

Favorite observation deck over The Trade Center or Empire

Very impressive great restaurants and plenty of things to see alot of street vendors plus sometime you see a celebrity

Historic, beautiful tree area during Christmas time. Skating rink is much smaller than I had imagined. Plenty of shops and foods all around.

Great iconic location. If you never been you should go. It's convenient to all the shops on 5th avenue. Many restaurants in the area also. And every time you see it on TV oh, you can say I've been there. A definite must-see during the holidays.

Wow! Throughout my whole trip to NYC, this definitely scrapes the top of my list of favorite places. Being able to do the studio tour was amazing. Shout-out to the amazing Pages that gave the tour.

New York has three observatories, Rockefeller center is definitely the best, you can take good photos and have an amazing view

Very cool looking place with a lot to tell. Has great access to stores and other businesses.

Less crowds than the Empire State, amazing views from 3 different levels and highly recommended.

Great Show. Got there 20 minutes early and the line for security was so long we missed the 1st 5 minutes. There were lots of people behind us as well. Would be 5 stars if they figured out how to get people thru security fastet

A must see during Christmas. Side roads were blocked off on the Saturday we visited (which I heard is a new thing). That allowed the crowds to open up a bit giving more room to spread out. Tree is spectacular.

Really loved the views, amazing, and I absolutely fully understand the security, but there was a lot of pretty pointless waiting around before we got to the views, with nothing to do with security. More communication from the staff before the viewing platforms would be very helpful.

Rockefeller Center at Christmastime is the absolute reason to be in NYC during the holidays! So pretty and fun and lots of people from all around the world and locally too!!

Been there twice and always a good experience. Nice view both from the top and from the bottom of the famous skyscraper. You can have a good lunch there or you can just have a good appetizer as well

Tree turns off at 11:30 each night and we missed it. But so pretty.

Can't wait to visit again! I miss the wicker angels of my childhood.

Not too busy right now. Lego store was open didn't do much, just kinda walked around.

Rockefeller Center is pretty cool. It s a good spot for tourists to visit. I wouldn t say it s a must see, but it is a neat space. It is pretty in the winter with the ice skating rink and giant Christmas trees.

Went at sunset, which I would highly recommend, it was stunning. Lots more room for getting around than the Empire State, better views and just felt such a calm and lovely place to be. If you have to do ESB or Rockefeller, choose Rockefeller.

Love it. Such a nice view. Probably the best way of the city. We came there early morning before big crowds. Spent plenty of time enjoying the city. You get to see 360 view. Would do it again

A Holiday tradition on Christmas Day that never gets old. The tree is always amazing!

I have always seen this place on Television. We were excited to be able to visit here while in New York. It was unreal how many people were here but we were able to walk around and enjoy ourselves. I wished I could visit this place at Christmas and see the tree and lights. The subway is easily accessible from here also.

The ice skating is amazing! You can enjoy it as a kid. You have to pay for the access and an extra if you don't have the skates. They also has private lessons.

Nice place to have drinks in the spring and summer. Great outdoor space. Drinks overpriced though

Well nice place, but there are better place to visit in NYC, but don't miss night view from top of the Rock.

I m my opinion, this is the best view in the city. While it might not be as high as the Empire State Building, the view is outstanding.

1st time in New York so had to visit, was only disappointed by the poor visibility but well worth the visit.
Get there early on a clear day as waiting times seemed to be three hours.

Great spot to stop and see. We got to see the tree decorating underway.

So much history in this...to walk the halls of this historic place is this fascinating, what's the take that elevator to the top and get a chance to take him that you, exhilarating!

2nd time visiting here. My kids loved the views and the shops. There is plenty to check out nearby. If using CityPass, then the overall cost is reasonable. It gets crowded early, so plan ahead.

Great early in the morning. Crowd on Xmas night was horrible, shoulder to shoulder and no where to go, not relaxing in the evening but was peaceful early in am like 630 7 and lights were still perfect.

Very long queues and quite pricey. Would be beneficial to get the city pass as it has great savings.

Best view in the whole city. Empire State Building and lower Manhatten in the font, Chrysler Building to the left and the Central Park in the back.

Stunning view, fances are completely made of glas. Prices are affordable. Do it! ;)

P.S. You can even get married in there!

Always a great place to visit during the holidays. Decorated for the holidays and buzzing with lights, sounds & people. Expect crowds but that s part of the delight of the season.

Great place to see and hang out or shopping, went on the top of the Rock, just amazing even better than the Empire

We had hot wein here at the camp.(USD10 for a cup) Fantastic atmosphere, lots of happy people. 2019 Christmas preparation.....on the way.

I love Rockefeller center. There are different decorations each season. Ice skating ring isn't overcrowded whenever I come.
The Rockefeller center is good place to take walk, for pictures, or just to sit.
There is an observation deck for the those ego like to enjoy the city's skyline.
This is one of the must places in New York.
