Set in the beautiful square with water features. This bar restaurant was lovely. You have to book as it does get busy. Went there for a catch up with friends and we couldn't have chosen a better place. I had the Buttermilk Chicken burger and fries. It was so good I can't wait to go back.

Rather disappointing: the place is nice and quirky as all the other branches of Drake and Morgan but service was unsatisfactory and food bland. Our breakfast order came in more than half an hour later although the place was literally empty being early morning; waiter muttered an unconvincing apology but didn t offer us anything to make up for it. To top it up, my poached eggs weren t runny... not sure will give it another go..
Good food, roast potatoes were amazing; and good selection of drinks and cocktails. We did not book and they were able to squeeze is in for Sunday lunch at 1.45, however service was very very slow.
AVOID! The food is ABYSMAL. Attended last night and we ordered a Chicken Burger and Cheese Burger and neither of us finished our food. Try any other restaurant in the area, it couldn't be worse than this place. Very disappointing.
Also, we wanted to sit outside in the lovely warm evening air, but were told they were "chock-a-block" despite there being obviously empty seats (which we watched get used by people who arrived after us). Maybe they all had reservations, but it wasn't explained to us and it felt off.
The service was also atrocious. We waited 30 minutes to order our food. And after it arrived we were halfway through our meal before we were given the opportunity to request cutlery and napkins.
On the plus side, the staff were all very friendly and the decoration is nice. Not a great reason to visit a restaurant by itself, though!
Went on a Sunday morning after an evening at the theatre. Great service. Good, tasty food. Only down side they were out of Bubble & Squeak which my wife really wanted. Nice ambiance - recommended.
I have had a few nice informal lunches and meet ups with family at Drake and Morgan .The food, ambience and staff are always good but today they surpassed themselves. I went for a coffee while looking after my four month old grandson for the first time and needed to take him to do a nappy change. A member of staff, Tommy I think , carried the pram downstairs , helped me fasten baby back in when he was screaming and I'd lost the plot a bit.He then carried the pram back up the stairs and was lovely and encouraging and calmed me down when I had a wobble.Thank youvery much!
Do not go here if you have an allergy or food intolerance!!!! I have been ill since visiting as the waiter incorrectly told me my veggie burger had no mushrooms in it. He was wrong. What kind of food serving place does not take food intolerances seriously anymore?!?
Came here for a weekday lunch and whilst the chips were good, the burger was most disappointing. It was not juicy and had little flavour. It is a popular place for drinks though.
Very busy during a recent Sunday brunch visit. Had trouble attracting staff to the table for ordering and getting the bill. The menu was expensive but probably inline with what the crowd here might expect to pay. Portions on the smaller side, a poor value experience overall.
