What a lovely, efficient, friendly group of people. From the phone calls to the meet up in parking lot for Covid test. Fast and easy! I'm keeping this place in my back pocket for ANYTHING I might need.
We love Dr. Paul and staff. We have stopped going to all other urgent care offices in the area because none of the compare to Dr. Paul's. The office is so clean and pristine and his staff is so professional. I have had stitches there and my young kids have been treated there for seasonal illness. It's easier than going to the pediatrician and they have a very knowledgeable staff of nurse practitioners and of course Dr. Paul.
This place doesn t have the slightest clue on professionalism. They are so immature. Including the doctor Knittel.
If you need Botox it s the place to go.
If your really sick or injured avoid at all cost!
The most amazing experience I've ever had at a Doctors office. So glad I decided to go here.
I needed to look for an urgent care physician and found this one. Its a new practice with outstanding staff and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Dr Paul is a easy in and easy out urgent care the took my Ins that is poor and my out of pocket was reasonable please give them a try. The Rossi family loves our local Do
Super clean, quick, and helpful knowledgeable staff! Highly recommend
Absolutely appalled by the neglectful service I received here today! I ve been a patron here multiple times and upon my last visit I needed to refill my generic asthma inhaler. The inhaler I received was damaged and didn t release the medication and was told by the pharmacy to ask the doctor to refill the order so the inhaler could be replaced. This facility has approved a medication refill in the past, but today they only agreed to refill/replace the damaged inhaler upon payment for another office visit despite having just seen them for this issue. I told them while wheezing that I m a student and couldn t afford paying the $50 copay again which I had just paid and asked if they could please approve the refill to replace the damaged inhaler. If the visit was for another issue, more time had passed or if it was a questionable medication I would absolutely understand paying again, but I was just there for my asthma and all they had to do was approve the pharmacy to replace the damaged inhaler. Clearly money trumps patient care at this facility - I left wheezing and unsteady. What was even worse is that the waiting room was near empty and Dr Paul and his associate Daniel (I ve seen both of them for previous visits) were just standing on the other side of the office wall and wouldn t walk five feet to the door to address my concerns directly or even see if I was okay. So disappointed.
Top shelf team; thorough, professional, and caring. I would recommend Dr. Pauls to anyone!
My children were evaluated on a Wednesday evening 2 were tested negative for the flu one positive. I called back on friday morning due to my children who were tested negative for flu were not getting better and being a nurse was thinking it to be an upper respiratory infection or sinus infection. Having the same exact symptoms as seen the Wed before nothijbg changed I requested to give him antibiotics to see if that helped his symptoms. The office refused wanting me to bring him back in to have him checked again for another 200 dollars. Had it been a week I would agree to that but seeing it was just 40hrs since previous evaluation there would be no need to reevaluate and pay an additional 200. Horrible care, being a nurse I know the ends and outs and they are not there to serve they are there to just get as much money out of people as they can.
Great staff and service! My wife and I both go there and also great for kids!
Top notch care. Professional service. Knowledgeable, compassionate and timely. Their staff even called me back the following day to see if i was ok and provided me with a much needed referral to a primary care physician.
I had an eye infection, and I was on my way to a different urgent care center when I noticed Dr. Paul's and stopped there instead on a whim. I'm really glad I did! Dr. Paul and the staff were warm, friendly and professional, and I really felt comfortable there.
It's a family owned/run medical facility run by an ER doctor and business-executive wife. It was obvious they had a passion for their new practice, and they were clearly serious about the service-side of medicine, making you feel comfortable and taken care of.
I left my house expecting to be gone 2-3 hours, a major inconvenience with a 2-month-old at home, but I was thrilled to be out the door, prescription in hand, in ~45 minutes, including filling out new-patient forms (which were mercifully short).
They seem to be bucking a trend in the medical profession, and it's really nice to know there is an urgent care center so close to my neighborhood. I hope they stick around! Please support them!
$175 for a Covid test. That is disgusting. We are in a state of emergency and this clinic wants to tax you for something that we re not able to control. They don t care about people s health just your money.
They were amazing! Great bedside manner and very efficient.
We took our 7 month old son to see Dr. Paul. The service and care with Dr. Paul was top notch. I would highly recommend to anyone in need of an urgent care.
There was a very short wait time in comparison to other urgent care locations in the area. We will be returning when needed.
The best! Highly recommend them for both their patient care and facility.
Love this clinic for all my go to general doctor needs. Staff is always very nice and no wait time.
The staff is super helpful and the facilities is nice and clean.
Went there weekday. Could not get a straight answer on how long it would take to be seen, only a couple of people were waiting. After a couple hours I was seen.
I tore ligaments in my ankle, my whole foot was purple. Luckily I got a quote on the xrays before they took them because the xray tech implied they were going to cost me more than what I was quoted, or "per angle."
The Doctor never pulled off my shoe and sock to even look at my ankle. He also never went over the x-rays with me that I paid hundreds of dollars for. He tried to sell me a splint instead. As far as I know he did not look at the x-rays.
I settled my bill at the front desk and asked if I was fully paid. They said I was full paid and I was all set. 3 weeks later I get a bill in the mail claiming I owe them more money because they only did an "estimate" of what total costs would be.
These guys are crooks, stay away. They also had the nerve to try to get me to come back in for a check up. You never looked at my injury the first time, why would I come back a second time??? They are only interested in your $$$.
Please see Bruce s and Lucia s reviews below. These are 2 of about 100 families I ve heard that have had unpleasant experiences with Paul s team.
Their billing and office team come from the perspective that if you have questions about your bill, they will fight hard (and threaten collections) if you don t pay it. They offered and gave several services that were extra and never told the patient that they would be billed extra. I have notified the Better Business Bureau and the county.
Amazing. Doctor's & nurses are extremely friendly. Service is very very fast.
This is a fantastic urgent care. They were pretty quick in getting me in, diagnosed and on my way. They were sure to listen and ask the right questions, and I HIGHLY recommend them.
I would give 0 if I could. Went in Dr. Paul's a few weeks ago after I was in a car accident where both cars were totaled, and the 1st thing one of the owners told me( didn't give me her name, just told me she was one of the owners)was that I would have to give them a credit card to keep on file. This is after I have presented valid proof of top of the line medical, and automobile ins. Then she tells me that I will have to pay for all services before they are rendered! $414.00. Being that I was in severe pain, had gone through this whole process, and am scared to death of the E.R. I paid the bill, and went in for an exam, and some X Rays. I can't say that the P.A. that looked at me was bad, but The Dr. only did a 30second drive by. After all this I get a notice from my health ins. co. that Dr Paul's has submitted a bill to them for $965.37! Of course they gave my ins. co. a discount, but they still collected $249.77! I'm still waiting for a call from Dr. Paul to discuss this, because I'm pretty sure this is illegal. Our Medical System Is So Broken!
This is not only my new/only go to immediate care but I will definitely be recommending it to whomever is in need. Staff is polite friendly and quite knowledgeable. Location is new and clean. Everyone treated me the exact why you would want to be treated when you are not feeling well. I read the negative reviews and am very confused. They all had to do with billing which means your insurance may cover not something in particular and you would run into the same problem no matter where you went. If I am ever in this is where I will be going. Christine, thank you.
Does not take med-cal and did not say it over the phone, so I dragged my flu and strep infected self down to redondo and I was told an appointment without insurance would be nearly 200$
I visited several months ago. They could not run my insurance at the time because it was a weekend but said they would collect a $50 copay at the time and then refund me or charge more depending on what my copay ended up being when they could run the insurance. I got my explanation of benefits from my insurance in September which said my copay was only $30 but I still have not been refunded the difference. This either represents immoral business practice or lack of attention to detail neither of which are qualities I want in a healthcare provider.
UPDATE (2 stars to 4 stars): After they saw this review, they immediately reached out to me and refunded the money. Overall, I received good care and this seems that it was a simple mistake.
I was at Dr Paul's earlier today. It's their two year anniversary, BTW. I went in for a pulled muscle in my back. The waiting room is clean and modern, the staff is courteous and very helpful. I walked in and was greeted right away, told where to signin, and given paperwork to fill out. I turned that in, and was asked to sign some forms. There were 4 people ahead of me, but I was seen within 20 minutes from the time I walked in. I was taken to a very clean and aesthetically pleasing examining room where a very sweet nurse asked me questions about my back, and took my vitals and tried to make me as physically comfortable as possible. The attending doctor came in and talked to me, asked me questions, answered my questions, told me what I would need, and did it all quickly. She was very professional, courteous and efficient. I arrived there around 8:40 AM and left around 9:50. It was quicker than any other urgent care I've been to in the South Bay. I had a very good experience here. Much better than I've had at other urgent cares in the Beach Cities area when I've had to take my kids. This is the first time I've needed to go to one for myself. Side note: We were asked if we wanted celebratory donuts for their two year anniversary, and I asked for coffee. A very nice and lovely lady said she would go to Starbucks for me since I was in so much pain, and I couldn't imagine myself walking over there. How nice is that, right? That's what customer/patient service is all about. Keep up the amazing work. Thank you.
You will not find a better medical clinic in all of the South Bay. There are no wait times comparatively so, little paperwork, plenty of big space parking in the front and back, and the most welcoming staff I have ever seen.
You will be greeted by a smiling and courteous staff that has your best intentions.
They were very thorough in the beginning with HIPAA regulations. They have some great music with a very large flat screen TV that plays some beautiful nature shows to calm the nerves. The ambiance in the actual patient rooms has a massive surfing barrel photo that all South Bay locals would enjoy. In addition, the babbling brook sound over the intercom is another calming feature in each room.
All in all, I have been to other medical clinics for a variety of things for myself and/or my kids and this is, BY FAR, the most nurturing and professional medical clinic I have been too.
I am really interested in the Hydration Therapy they offer in one of their soothing rooms to bounce me back to my normal self when needed. I highly recommend this place and let it be known that their credentials are going to be hard to beat.
I'm a Blackman and I take blood pressure pills, I was in Redondo beach visiting friends and I need to get checked for my blood pressure and possibly get a a prescription for my pills considering my car had been towed. I didn't have transportation to get to my doctor in Santa Monica so I went into Dr Paul's clinic, my wife workers for a tech company and has the best insurance money can buy, so walk in the Nurse at the desk was trying to help me remember my insurance name since I couldn't remember my wife insurance and I didn't have my card with me. I was sweating from walking and obvious my blood pressure was high, so I went out side the clinic to get air while the nurse worked on finding my insurance from my wife name. I was outside getting air and looking in my backpack for information that might have had some insurance info, when a woman in work outfit proceeded to tell me that they don't take medical , I told her I have private insurance. I just don't remember my wife's info, she was a doctor and said well I need to leave they couldn't help me sounds like racism to me. She assumed I had no insurance because I was , that's how I felt, just heads up for you folks of color that are looking for clinical, I wouldn't go to Dr Paul in Redondo Beach on Artesia
Came in for myself and my son. Was VERY impressed with the service all the way around...from the front desk staff, to nurse to PA. They even called the next day to check up. It was a great experience overall and we will definitely go back!
Dr. Paul's Immediate Care provided a great experience for me today. Had to get a Covid-19 rapid test done ASAP, everywhere I called/went had a massive wait or no chance of testing at all. Called Dr. Paul's and they squeezed me in, the whole process took 25 minutes. Amazing!
I will never do businesses with this people ever again. I took my mom and really had a good experience in the past with the treatment and follow call. But coming back after 4 years for myself not the same service, no follow up call, incorrect prescription, no one answers the phone call my pharmacy got exhausted they told me to call and get in touch with them. I have called them from 10am to 2pm and no answer and they tell you not to leave a voicemail since they don t check it. I will never do business with this people ever again. I will also make sure I tell all my clients not to do business with them. Very unprofessional and very disappointing. I wish I can rate them 0.
The staff the office and the services available that can be granted through insurance are the best around. They truly set the benchmark on service. Went in feeling sick with a virus I got a vit- B12 shot and IV +vitamins came out ready to take on my day. I simply felt like a new person. They have a more modernized out look on how healthcare should be. Can wait till they have a PCP working for them. I'll be the first new patient! I'm a true believer is preventive healthcare. Take care of your body it will take care of you- they have the same approach that also addresses preexisting conditions with thoughtfulness and care. The Thoroughness is right up there with MAYO clinic in Minasota. You can't ask for more.
ADVICE: expect more from your insurance and put the pressure on them for things you want. Hold them accountable. What ever problems may arise in the office have everything to do with you insurance. And upon acceptance it's your job to make sure everydollar Is accepted(service) is accepted by insurance. Be smart and always know how it works. With any office just because they accept your insurance doesn't mean they acccpet the treatments billed from the office --------call the 1800 number and double check with that subscriber ID! Best of luck and god bless
I've been here for myself, and for my two daughters - great staff great service and even gave us a referral to a couple of excellent Dr's. Best Immediate care facility I've ever been to in SoCal period.
Charged me over $600 - this is not an urgent care it says specialty and I did not even get treated by a DR. Very angry and they do not explain it at the office, feels like a scam
I went to this clinic for a rapid COVID-19 test. The test was $175 and results were given within an hour.
The reason for the low rating is that Dr Paul s requires signing a binding agreement to pre-dispute arbitration in the case of medical malpractice to receive care. While I understand that many malpractice insurance companies encourage this practice, I find the concept of waiving legal rights in order to receive medical care ethically dubious at best. Had I known this before the appointment I would have used another provider, however I was asked to prepay and the test had been administered prior to informing me. I was also told that I would not receive the results of my test unless I signed the document.
I cannot recommend Dr Paul s for the above reason, I will note that my brief interactions with his staff were professional and my appointment concluded in a timely fashion.
What a great experience. Very organized, clean and we will come back
