Spencer's restaurant was terrific! Great, old school atmosphere, wonderful service, delightful food. We shall return to eat here again. We have no idea what the hotel is like, we didn't stay there.

As a hotel it is fine. My disappointment was with the cost. It was much higher than I saw on line. Then the $22 parking fee got tacked on top of that.

If money isn't an issue for an okay room, go for it.

Good place if you have a dog. It's a $35. Non refundable fee for the dog which is reasonable. The staff here is very friendly and courteous and if you come here don't forget to ask about the cookies. The one thing that I didn't like were that the bathrooms could be a little more updated. Shower curtain rod was falling off the wall so it was hard not to step on the shower curtain while taking a shower. Also would have liked to have a microwave in the room. This place is a great location for anywhere downtown. Especially if you like to use the Riverwalk. Also very close to the university.

Parking is not free and if you have a large truck and trailer be ready to not be able to park at hotel, or be ready to move a few dozen times. Parking was arranged and paid extra for prior to arriving at the hotel and still had problems. Hotel did nothing but give me a hassle with parking it the entire time. Rooms are nothing other then another hotel room. nothing special.

A very nice hotel, good location by the river with trails. Staff is nice. The rooms are very nice but you are sealed in with no new air circulation. The windows are designed to open but are screwed shut. The central air vent was not operating.

We stayed here over memorial weekend and it was the best stay at a hotel that we have had for a long time!! We have celiac disease and traveling for business makes it very rough and highly stressful. Hands down, this makes our number one hotel. At check-in, doubletree is famous for their yummy cookies. We declined the cookies and told the ladies at the front desk we have to eat gluten free :( Surprise Surprise! They offered us gluten free cookie bags! (They reminded me of chips ahoy yummy cookies).
We didn t eat dinner at the hotel as we ended up eating at P.F. Chang s that is nearby. In the morning, breakfast was by far the best part. We were able to eat at the restaurant cafe. We had from the buffet, gourmet scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and sausage!!! Also, I have no idea where they get their lemon cranberry pound cake, but they were AMAZING! Our waitress did such an outstanding job with handling our food. We explained how sensitive we are to cross contamination and she wiped down all the coffee containers, drinking glasses and Tabasco sauce. She watched and made sure the chef handled our food with careful attention. We didn t get sick from eating and actually felt great after eating unlike the usual sickness from a hotel breakfast. Definitely will be booking another get away trip soon!

Hotel room was nice and the staff was friendly. Usually stay at the Best Western across the street but the price this time was over the government rate. Comparison of the hotels are that the rooms are essentially the same but Best western has a microwave in the room, which I use. Best Western has free available parking in front of their place. Double tree does not. They directed people to park on the street which means you have to pay at a parking meter until 7PM when they do not ticket. Best Western has garage parking for $10 per night. Double Tree directs you to a parking Garage next to them for $18 per night. When I mentioned the difference they said they would give it to me for $9 but failed to mention it was only for one night. Best Western has a free full breakfast and Double Tree does not but do offer you a cookie and two bottles of water when you check in.

Great location close to the river front. So nice places to walk. Close to many restaurants and shopping center. I dislike the lack of free airport shuttle..Uber or Lyft is half price and I was woken up early by house keeping after setting a late check-out . They do have delicious chocolate chip cookies

This hotel has helpful and friendly staff with average rooms that were clean but dated. Two restaurants and a pool make the stay here nice as well. Airport shuttle is plus and ran to and from often and on time and there's free valet parking. A big downside was the constant upsell when booking the room - there must be a lot of pressure to push the upgrades to your stay. Room service food is really good.

It's a great hotel for a great price in Spokane. Room had an excellent view of the river, was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The only negative was the bathroom was a little smaller than I prefer (personal choice) but it was clean and the lighting was decent.

The location is perfect for a stroll through the river park.

The only real drawback of my stay is that we weren't able to use the pool or hot tub. However, this was not the fault of the hotel.

Legislators should really look at the science before just banning things due to covid. Clorene kills the virus and its much safer to use the pool facilities (in small groups or by appointment) than the gym, which was open. Like I said, not the hotels fault.

I would certainly stay here again the next time I'm in town and recommend it to all.

The room was nice, but we had a view of the dirty roof. The guests next to us were up making noise until past midnight and it was impossible to sleep.

That combined with the poor experience I had with the reservationist is why I would rate my stay this way. It was overall fairly disappointing.

Every staff member we encountered in our 5 day stay was helpful and friendly. Special props to the valet and bellhops, who were really kept hopping by the event we attended. The view over the park and river were beautiful.

If you want to stay here, take the price they give you for a night and add $50, because youre also going to need to pay $15 to park in the hotel's own parking garage, and then +$15 per plate if you want breakfast in the morning ($16 BLT's anyone?). Then, on top of that, the rooms have no microwave, and if you're lucky, you might have towels when you check in, but you'll probably have to ask for some. Be careful when you book over the phone, the people who handle that obviously don't even live in the United States, let alone know what this hotel even offers. We booked a room here SOLELY because I asked the woman over the phone 2 different times "is your pool open 24 hours?" And got a very confident "yes" both times. Guess what? The pool closes at 10pm. Then of course she got our name and reservation number wrong, which by itself isn't a huge deal, but when we showed up and tried to check in, the lady at the front desk could hardly be bothered to lift a finger to find our reservation. After an awkward few minutes making sure we were at the hotel when she acted like there was no possible way we had reservations here, we had to request specifically she look up our room by our credit card, which worked instantly. All in all, I completely regret every penny we gave to this hotel. We payed well over $150+ for what I would consider an $80 hotel room. But on the bright side, they do give you a cookie when you check in.

Room was great, clean and inaccessible great spot if going to the convention center. Also good parking. Only complaint would be the lack of channels and inability to use a tv guide? I'm pretty tech savvy and could find no way to get a guide out of only 40ish channels. And the tubs could use some non slip tape in them.

Nice rooms, little pricey for food. Steak house at hotel is great but $$$, continental breakfast is limited and if ordering off the menu expect to spend 18 for breakfast. They give a discount for gold and above members. Parking is ok. The garage is 18/night if you self park. The biggest benefit is that the hotel is directly connected via skywalk to the convention center.

First of all when I booked I booked a double king bed room just so everyone knows they have no double king bed rooms second of all they treated me like a idiot when I brought this up to them third is there is no continental breakfast 4th we had 4 drinks at the steak house attached and payed 100.00 for that. seemed like a nice place but they charge top shelf for bottom shelf drinks.i would never stay here again red lion has a way better set up he'll I would have stayed at the holiday inn across the street would have at least got continental breakfast.

My husband and I attended a three day conference at the Double Tree City Center. Conference rooms were updated, large, clean, and well stocked. Audio/Visual systems worked well. Bathrooms were always clean. Great location, and we appreciated the discounted rate at the parking garage.

My rate was $109 for 2 nights. After all said and done, my total bill was $521.62. The room was mediocre. Out dated, small, and had some minor maintenance issues. Be prepared to overpay. Parking is a hassle. $5 per phone call if you use the phone in your room. Their restaurant is very over priced and food is not impressive. No continental breakfast or complimentary coffee in lobby. Staff was nice and professional, but this does not make up for a mediocre establishment. I have had better rooms at Super 8 for a fraction of the price. I am a corporate traveler...do not waste your money here. There are greater options across the street.

We reserved a block of rooms in Febuary for a group that were attending the Spokane Ms Walk! Our rooms were spread all over the motel! They had told me we would all be on the same floor! They had an in house wrestling tournament at this same time and kids were running up and down the hallways all night! Playing in the elevators etc! They had no refrigerators in rooms! Spencers is great! Great food great service etc! We picked this place because of location and activities but I do not think it will ever be a choice again! The rooms were not real clean! Behind the doors were dirt piles and even hair ties stuck in the corners! Bathroom shower would not drain! Very upset! Would not recommend

The Double Tree is one of the nicest hotels in Spokane. I really enjoy the location (close to local eateries and trail. You can walk most places downtown Spokane within 20 min or so. The staff is friendly and rooms are nice. This trip I even got a free upgrade. If you are staying in the area this is where I would recommend staying. However this trip I was told that there was a $25 handling fee if you have anything shipped to the hotel. Fair warning.

We went to Spencer's in the hotel for dinner prior to a performance at INB. The ambiance is pleasing. The service was spotless. And the food..the food was superb. The portions were appropriate and the quality was outstanding. We will be returning just to enjoy all that Spencer's offers.

Everyone so genuinely nice here! Overnight oats for contentional breakfast is the best ive ever had. Fresh WA apricots & peaches this week as well.
Fruit infused water in the lobby to refill your bottle. Free cookie at the desk is amazing. 6 cardio machines in gym. Property located right on the river walking path. Steakhouse has a happy hour.

The rooms are very comfortable and the employees are helpful and friendly. Sound from the hall carries into the rooms, though. The food is overpriced. The corned beef hash was okay but needed more seasoning. Event coffee!

The best DoubleTree Hotel in the city. The staff from the front desk to restaurant are very friendly & accommodating. The best room view was the best with fireworks & a giant Christmas tree. Please ask for the river view.

Worst hotel. Customer service is HORRIBLE. They are so rude. Our bathroom wasn't even clean and all they say is a short sorry. We requested a river view 5 months ago and they couldnt even do that. Then they give us a pass for breakfast but its only good for toast and cereal and not the actual breakfast. And they say "that's the best we can do" so we have a dirty bathroom and that's the best they can do. We asked to switch rooms and they say they have one on a higher floor and then they say nevermind. So dirty bathroom, a room that faces a wall and toast for breakfast. This is my first vacation in 4 years after spending four years in bedrest with major medical issue and it totally sucked
