Worth going for the map of Akihabara but it's basically just a tourist info centre/small shop.
Worth going for the map of Akihabara but it's basically just a tourist info centre/small shop.
The name makes it sound so grand, but it was a pretty big let down. Not much to see here
It is my personal usage, "I check what kind of event I am doing and go if there is an exhibition that interests me".
This little Shop is located on the walkway of the UDX building. If you're an anime fan it's a neat place to pick up anime related items. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Not as many options as Radio or Volks but a lot less hectic too!
A disappointment, we were hoping to find much more instead they were only two rooms. One, then, reserved for the gadgets of very recent cartoons, nothing to do with the 80's cartoons. We visited the exhibition (one room) of drawings of different manga at the modest sum of 1000 y. I must say that the designs were magnificent but the price of the ticket was too exaggerated for what the show was offering
People who come here have a purpose (the one you want), so the evaluation will be moderate. On the contrary, if there is no purpose, there may be a sense of shock.
Primstar museum wasn't my thing but I guess I just went at the wrong time.
Sooo weak, I was expecting to see things of amines but I didn't find even One Piece, Naruto, Death Note or SAO
I frequently visited the exhibition of anime and games, and visited there because there was an exhibition of costumes with interesting contents. The overall structure is clean and spacious, and it doesn't feel stuffy even when people are present. It is very easy to watch on weekdays when there are relatively few people, and I would recommend this time for future visitors.
Give this place a miss. If you re a tourist, and want some Japanese culture and fun, it s *all* outside of this building. It s a pretty soulless collection of cardboard cutouts and glum-looking staff in a shiny office block.
Go hang out at some of the stores in the area instead - they ve got the buzz and excitement that this place lacks.
Small place featuring some animation work from hand drawn pictures to final animated sets.
It is a paradise for fans of anime and manga I am one of them so .... to study Japanese \ (> or <) /
Worst place ever. It's an empty room full of nothing.
Very cute, for comic book lovers, nothing for 80s anime, I'm an old Mazinga of 2 meters next to a shop. Puppets, gadgets, and all about Japanese cartoons, even erotic ones. Very characteristic and pleasant to walk.
I love this place infact my favorite was sailor moon and my second favorite was demon slayer
You can take pictures with the big Olympic mascots.
You can get a can batch depicting the image of the Olympic Games.
Since the competition changes every month and day, how many times can you go?
It's up to you, so if you don't get lost in that month, you have a chance after the next month.
You can also drink coffee.
The basement is full of anime-related goods.
If you are in Akihabara and have time, take the opportunity to spend
Small shop. Didn't really find it interesting. Alot of drawings by the artists of anime are there and I assume if you'd want it, you can buy it
This is the prime venue for Japanese animation exhibitions, saw the 30th anniversary for Saint Seiya on 25 June 2016
Lackluster. Nothing to see but a few framed illustrations and a very small gift shop.
It s narrow, there s a feces girl, and I ca n t return it.
Since it comes only when there is an anime exhibition, there is no particular evaluation of the facility.
The collaboration menu of the 1st floor cafe is only latte art, so I think it would be nice to have a food menu with a work image.
I have no idea why it's called anime center, there is nothing to do here.
Almost dropped a star, because it was a bit difficult to find. Google maps was being cooperative, it couldn't find North! Once we did find it, it was literally just a few feet from the metro stop! Once we went inside, all we saw were books, but nothing about anime. Finally we found a sign that pointed to stairs and went downstairs. The place is tiny, but had some anime cells for sale. I thought you could get every single anime's memorabilia here, but not so. I asked about my favorites, and after a little awkwardness, got them to understand. Google to the rescue here. Ended up finding a few items that I bought and after a great "conversation" left happily.
2015/08/30, I saw the original drawing exhibition of Charlotte at the Tokyo Anime Center. It was the last day and Sunday, so the line was open from 11:00, and the inside was quite crowded.
In a cycle of about two weeks, we have events such as today's anime original painting exhibition. The middle half is a product sales area. Many merchandises were officially produced by anime production companies, and original collections, tapestry, and accessories were on sale. It was also possible to pay by credit card.
The product lineup is slightly different from stores such as A * Mate and GA * Z, making it feel more like a production company. For people who can enjoy watching original animation and storyboards.
I recommend going here if you're into anime and manga
Cool place and everything , but didn't imagine prices can be that expensive.
Pretty helpful for electronics though.
Pretty small, and can sometimes be closed. Check the website to see what exhibition is on.
Going to an area away from almost everything to see a sample of this type is perhaps not worth it for someone like me who is not very professionally involved in this world.
It was fun as far as the Japanese cultural experience goes, but there nothing related to the Ghibli Studios or other old school stuff. Mainly eye candy.
(This is my memo before going.) Aikatsu Exhibition Closed from Monday, December 30, 2019 to Friday, January 3, 2020. The nearest station is Ichigaya Station next to Yotsuya. Save admission stub to Marui Annex's Aikatsu Shop (1/11 ~ 1/20)
I believe this place is usually hosting events about anime and manga but when they re not, well there s just nothing to see. Little shop, little space.
We visited first week of Dec 2016 and they had a beautiful, detailed replica of the sword from Berserk on display. Merch from other series such as Re:Zero, New Game, and Koutetsujou no Kabanero are available.
Visit at a Million event. The content was good but the entrance fee was high.
The Tokyo Anime Center in Akihabara UDX has moved to Ichigaya under the umbrella of DNP. While it is a little wider than it was in Akihabara, it now costs admission.
Worth a visit if you're into anime and you are into what's being displayed at the time. The exhibits are only in Japanese and the entrance fee to the bottom floor is 1000 yen.
Where do the voices of the women want to go there too
I came here because I moved from Akihabara. I went to the opening exhibition, "Tatsunoko Pro Collection". The merchandise corner also sells animega limited items. A cafe is also open at DNP Plaza on the 1st floor, so it's good to take a break.
Waste of time. On-site mysterious 3D show, the staff is not able to tell much about it. In addition, a poorly stocked souvenir shop. I do not recommend.
I want to meet real Naruto players but distance makes it difficult
An event is held for a certain period. Goods are on sale. Some events are crowded
In addition to DNP's unique anime planning, you can also enjoy a photo corner with the Tokyo 2020 mascot. A reasonable cafe is surprisingly comfortable!
There is not much to see, there are some goodies but the prices are quite high for mangas not known in Europe.
I love how beautiful it is I hope one day I can come there
Kinda neat to see a bunch of sketches and cells from the Anime artists, but the place is very small with not much there. Better off just wandering through the rest of Akihabara.
There was nothing there. Just one really tiny floor with no classical anime characters.
The best anime store location in Tokyo. Will come again next time. Miss this place so much .... Hehehe
If you love original anime this might be worth a visit. It is quite out of the way and very underwhelming. They don't really try to make an effort in this place. Its just there.
