One of the better diving outfits in HK. Have been diving for many years in HK and always use DE for both equipment and local trips.

My first time ever in my life giving bad review to a place/ shop as I believe everyone deserves a second chance. But this time, I feel that I am responsible to reveal the truth to people who want to learn diving safely and properly as there is no second chance in life.

I would not recommend this shop and teaching centre to anyone who puts utmost importance on safety; people who don t care about their lives can go ahead and try this shop otherwise.

They have a great following and clientele from Hong Kong as well as from other Asian countries. Also, cater to world-wide orders. As for dive trips, all our trips go through their related company, Wanderlust Vacations. All in all a great group of people here.

The worst shopping experience of dive gear in Hong Kong. Bad attitude and frustrating price. If any gear advice is needed, I would Not recommend shop like this.

When I took the UW torch (bought there) to the shop to repair and they said it was flooded too seriously and could not be repaired. I requested a letter to certify it's unrepairable so that I could claim the insurance. But Mr. Wong asked for $100 for the letter. I told him I would buy a new one here once I got the insurance money. He said I had to buy one now if I wanted the letter.
For this kind of service, why bother to go back. There are so many diving shops.

Communication was terrible with one of the diving instructors here. Neither informative nor helpful. What was even ridiculous was that he asked me to bring the course fee at the first time when we were supposed to meet, without even showing me this dive shop (I requested to meet him in the dive shop but he asked me to meet at a Starbucks). As an international diver who would meet you for the first time ever, I believe taking the course fee outside the the dive shop was inappropriate at all.

For international travelers: Worth the stop if you're in the area anyway. It's a medium-sized shop but packed with stuff. Didn't see anything major that I can't get back home (for tropical waters anyway), BUT if you're in the market for a new wetsuit, rash guards, leggings, vests, etc..they have a huge variety of those.
To give you an idea on price, got my husband Scubapro neoprene leggings with pockets for around HKD650. HKF900 if paid via credit card.
