Came here for the Ultima 25th anniversary party. The hotel rooms are dated but the staff and facilities are extremely good. The convenient proximity to downtown Disney is a great bonus. As for the convention as an attendee, the buffet was stunning and the venue had adequate support facilities.

Fun atmosphere, a little gimmicky but that is to be expected. My experience has always been better at the California locations (as compared to Florida). The cast members (in CA) take their work seriously and want the guests to have a good experience; in Florida the the cast members treat it like it is just a job to them and the guests are more of a necessary evil.

We came to check off a bucket list item. We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and spacious. They allowed us to check in at 7 am so we could spend our time enjoying the park. The pool area was pretty sloppy around 5pm but still fun. We were staying as part of a group, but I would find far less value at their full rate. The on-site food is ridiculously overpriced but there are a variety of options right next door at downtown Disney. All that being said, it is a very convenient option.

Had a great stay at the Disneyland Hotel. The room had a great view of the pool and was decorated very well. It was great being so close to Downtown Disney and we were able to get into the parks an hour early as hotel guests. Overall the hotel felt like a great value.

Everyone was so nice from check in to check out. The ladies and gents at the guest services desk were very accommodating. The house keepers left us a cute little "cupcake" on our bed the one day. Easy access to downtown Disney and about a 10 minute walk to the park entrances.
Be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for everything. No continental breakfast. If you want coffee besides the stuff they leave in the room for you to make you have to go down to the coffee house. They do have Goofy's kitchen but the food isn't that good, the prices are outrageous ($368 for 7 people), and not everything on the drink menu is included in that price.

We had a great stay here. Rooms were nice, quiet and beds were sooooo comfortable. Made sinking in to sleep after trekking through the parks the the cherry on top of the day. Sadly the weather made for limited enjoyment of the pool but that was really nice as well.

Pretty terrible service and value at this hotel. They apparently over sold the hotel and simply downgraded us to a worse room (2 queens for $600+ per night... what a steal!)
At every turn the staff showed their subpar service. Paying for a cabana and want your attendant to take away your food tray? Nope. Call room service to come get it yourself.
Want to check your double stroller at the bell desk overnight after a long day of walking in the heat and spending money in the park? Nope. "We don't check things overnight". Go squeeze it into an elevator and your tiny room that 4 people are staying in for $600+ per night.
I could go on and on, but I won't. I just won't stay here again and will steer everyone I can away from this place. The problem is really about value.
If there is one thing I hope you take away from this review, it is this: The Disneyland Hotel provides Motel 6 service for Four Seasons prices.

Disney is a wonderful place for many reasons... During this trip (3 night stay) we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. The suite is huge and so wonderful! There was a large bedroom with 2 queen beds, a dresser, and TV. There was also 1 full and 1 half bathrooms, a wet bar area and refrigerator. The living area had a large pullout couch, arm chair, a round dining table, another dresser, and TV. All "Cast Members" we have met are fantastic as well. This was one of the best vacations ever!!

"When you wish upon a star..." you'll wish you'd live where you are, haha. Its definitely a dream come true staying in the best hotel, that is, Disney. It's like you're neighbor is all the magic they have to offer; downstairs and out the door is already the downtown district, followed by the park entrances of Disneyland & CA Adventures. But I should mention, at the entrance from the downtown district, there's a special monorail service that takes you straight into the heart of the Disney park, practically next to Matterhorn Mountain and the Castle!

Had brunch at Goofy's kitchen for the first time. The experience was awesome! Loved that the characters came up to our table and took their time interacting with my girls. The food was alright, normal buffet food in my opinion. The sweets were really good! The monkey bread was my favorite! I'd definitely recommend you try this place at least once if you have little ones. :)

So I brags about being close to the park but realistically it's still about the same walk as many other none disney hotels as you got to go through the entire expansive downtown Disney area. The price difference isn't worth it. Even had an old couch thrown into the room which felt very tacky. There are also lines to check in which sucks compared to other hotels on top of the high price. Simply not worth it if you ask me. The backboard behind the bed glows and plays music which is cool, and there are lots of hidden Mickies, but other than that it's a normal hotel really. Save yourself a few hundred dollars and just watch YouTube videos on it. If you want to be close to the park your only real option is the grand Californian.

Annual passholder, stayed in every Disney hotel...Love the OG Disneyland hotel. Being a Disney visa CC holder also makes the experience that much better. Last Halloween our usual disneyland hotel suite was upgraded to a character suite. Adventure land!!! Omg it was amazing!!! We were upgraded with no extra charge due to loyalty!! It was so amazing thank you Disney and Visa!!!!!! #disneylandhotel

My family and I spent part of our Spring Break at ...
My family and I spent part of our Spring Break at Disneyland this year and stayed at the Disneyland hotel. Personally I think that if you are going to go to Disneyland, staying at one of their hotels is the best way to go because you get early entry to the park, you can leave during the middle of the day when the crowds and wait times are ridiculous and you can return later in the evening for the fire works and such. Staying in the Grand Californian would be better I would think because they have an entrance directly into the California Adventure Park and they are closer to the entrance to Disneyland.
I have 2 complaints. One specific and one general. My specific complain is I booked through Disneyland travel. They did not have a suite available for the first night we wanted to be at the hotel, so I decided to book a regular room and then move to a suite the second night. I specifically asked and was told that it would not be a problem to stay in the room until the other room was available and simply move our stuff over. This was especially important because we have an infant who naps in the middle of the day so being "homeless" between check out time , 11 am, and check in time, 3pm, would not work well for us.
When we got to the hotel we were told "sorry that's not true, but we will see what we can do." We were told we could definitely stay until noon, again check out is normally 11, but that we would need to check with the front desk about staying longer the next day. Long story short, my wife was able to stay in the room with our infant, but because we did not know for sure, she had to wait in the room the entire time even when the baby was not napping, just in case they called and said we needed to get out. That was both stressful and meant she pretty much was unable to enjoy the parks that day even though we had paid for a ticket. I also just don't like being lied to.
My general complaint with Disneyland is that everything is set up to be as efficient for Disney as possible with little to no regard to visitor experience. Want to make a restaurant reservation? Use their automated system. Want to ask a question? Use the automated system. Want a bell man? Use the automated system. Want to get your car from the valet? Wait in a long line. Need to ask guest services a question? Wait in a long line, etc, etc. It definitely is not a "high end" experience. I have stayed in many hotels for less where the service was significantly better. I know you are paying for the location, but does that really mean the service needs to be lousy?

We absolutely love this hotel and come here freque...
We absolutely love this hotel and come here frequently. While it's a good bit of walking to the actual parks, it's a very welcoming property with lovely gardens and large rooms. We usually travel as a party of 4, and there's more than enough room for all of our luggage, and the bellhops are super friendly and quick to help. The only complication our last visit was the confusion around Lyft and Uber. We used Lyft from the airport and were redirected to a parking lot quite a walk from the entrance of the hotel. They didn't ask if we were checking in, and just assumed that we were coming to and from off-property. As it turns out, if you are checking in or out, you are supposed to be able to drive right up to the front of loading/unloading luggage. This could definitely be improved upon, as I think it's a fairly recent policy. I knocked off a star for this since we had strollers, car seats, and all our luggage to cart up to the hotel. Once actually checked in, they texted us with an update as to when our room was ready and it was smooth sailing from there! Tangaroa Terrace has been updated and is quite lovely to sit at, even with a larger party. We ordered our Dole Whips from here, and they even offer alcoholic versions of the floats (delicious). All in all I love this hotel and well worth the price.

It's a good hotel, they will keep you bags for you and there is an amazing pool. However it is a 10-15 minute walk to the actual park and what I found unfortunate is that the TV had no Disney movies. Also finding parking is really confusing and I parked in the wrong perking lot first and had to pay an extra 20$. But the beds are very comfortable and parks are amazing as always

I didn't stay at the hotel. I spent the afternoon at Downtown Disney and saw Suburban Legends play their set. While I was waiting for them to begin, my friend and I visited the hotel and just walked around, enjoying the many pieces of Disney memorabilia and models they have on display. All and all, everything about the hotel is immaculate and wonderfully fits Disney's asthetic and level of polish. Being there to visit was magical and there's simply no other way to put it.
