Tom and good gas been excellent. Buses run frequently and we haven't had any longer than a ten minute wait for a bus.
Tom and good gas been excellent. Buses run frequently and we haven't had any longer than a ten minute wait for a bus.
Great place to stay! Very clean free buses to the parks.
There is quite a bit of difference between the economy, the moderate, and the deluxe resorts at Disney World, but none of them are bad. At the economy Resorts like Pop Century, there are a lot more families and a lot more small children and that appeals to some and turns some off. The amenities are fewer, but they are still numerous and wonderful. When I say they are fewer, what I mean is until you experience the moderate and Deluxe you can't even get a grasp on how much they think ahead and anticipate your needs. That being said, they do this at Pop Century and other economy Resorts too on a marginally smaller scale. Another big difference is the theming. Each one is themed differently and Pop Century is one that celebrates the decades from the 50s through the 90s and Beyond. Each set of dormitories is themed after a different decade and each one has a unique and separate pool that fits that feeling. The hippy dippy pool in the sixties set is my favorite. Dining is the last big difference. the moderate and Deluxe Resorts all have table service restaurants, bars, and other options while Pop Century and other economy Resorts have just a food court. The options are good, and at Pop Century you can get a pizza delivered to your room. It isn't the only Resort where you can do that, but there are plenty where you can't.
I stayed in April of 2018 and May of 2016. Both times were wonderful. We stayed in the 80s and 90s in April. The housekeeping staff were so kind. The front desk staff made my daughter's day. The magic is here in this resort. From the Magical moments the staff makes to the price of the room! I am traveling with a family of 4, 2 adults 2 kids. I am already planning my next trip!
Amazing place to stay when visiting Disney. So much to do in this resort.
If I did the review my first two days of our stay, it would have been 5 stars. But, the next few days everything went downhill. The newly refurbished rooms are awesome. When the second bed is up, it feels very spacious. We had a room that had a bathtub, instead of a walk-in shower, but that worked great for the kiddos. My son has severe allergies, so we always enjoy going to Disney because in the past they made it really special for him at the resort restaurant. This time- not so much. It felt like we were inconveniencing the chef and he would always point to the pasta station stating we could get his food from there with no cross contamination. Um, my child needs more than pasta on the daily in order to survive. When we would ask for chicken tenders or something different, it was a heavy sigh and "give me 10-15 minutes". This is after waiting 10-15 minutes for the chef to come out to discuss the allergies.
For me, the one night I ordered salmon and they had a mushroom risotto for a side, which sounded good. I ordered the risotto and the line worker told me the chef was just finishing it that it would be a minute or two. So, I stepped to the side about a foot and waited. While waiting, the next guest asked for the same thing. The line worker told him the same thing she told me. So, we stood to the side watching the chef and chatting about our visits. About 10 minutes passed and a different guest asked for the risotto and by golly- the risotto was finished. When we asked for our side orders, the line worker looked at us like we had five heads. By this time, my salmon was cold and dried out- didn't look very appetizing. She said to both of us "I don't remember you ordering the risotto". Why would we be standing there!?!?!?! At the same time, my husband and son were still waiting for their food. So, we successfully spent 30 minutes getting our dinner. We would have rather spent that time in the parks.
The next thing was housekeeping....she would only leave two towels in the room. Obviously this didn't work for us. After mentioning it to her a couple times, we gave up and just went to the pool and grabbed extra towels from there. By the 7th day, she started leaving four towels in the room.
On our second to last day, we were enjoying breakfast in our room, when a HUGE roach went running up the wall by the bathroom. My husband caught it under a cup. We went to the front desk to let them know and to show them a picture of the bug. We were offered a room change, but it would be two hours before we could move our things. We wanted to get to the parks, because why else would you be in Disney......so, we told the cast member, we check out tomorrow morning and we want to visit the parks- not wait for a room to open up for us to move to. After that, they told us they would send up pest control and didn't offer anything else. When we got back to the room after park close and started to pack, there were tiny bugs everywhere in the room. It was a restless night, needless to say, but we rested as much as we could before leaving at 7:30am to catch the magical express back to the airport.
Nice looking rooms, but we won't be staying here again.
This resort was newly renovated and very nice. My only complaint was that the size of the room was fairly small for 3 guests. The features of the room were great and most of the staff we encountered were very helpful. Another complaint was the long walk to the bus from our room. Next time we will just request a room closer to Classic Hall! Overall we had a good experience and would stay here again.
The rooms are nice but the walls are pretty thin. People can be lpue outside. Overall though we had a pleasant experience
I was here during spring break, to my surprise the resort wasnt overly crowded. The cast members were pleasant and fun to engage with and the room recently renovated.
Great place to stay. People are super friendly and nice
Just like anything Disney, even if it isn't their fault, they go that extra step to fix problems to make sure your stay is "magical".
We have stayed here every visit since 2011. Always happy everytime. The oldies theme is so cool. They have numerous different pools and activities and movies by the pool. Kiddies pool as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. Love shopping in the gift shop in the resort. Cafeteria is very big and has a wide selection of food. The rooms are always clean and ready upon arrival.
Below average rooms and amenities. Asked for a crib for our daughter multiple times while we were out, came back to our room late at night to find no crib. I'd look elsewhere for a place to stay.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The food is decent, and everything is very clean. However, the rooms are very small, and it took them 4.5 hours to get our checked bags to us, and it would have taken longer if I hadn't called to complain. I wish they had more water features at the pools, and more of a shallow end for the toddlers.
Disney's Pop Century Resort is like a step back on time! Every section is a different Era. The staff has been unbelievably helpful and everything is kept pristine. The room we had was a little small, but we only slept there anyway. I highly recommend it!
Everyone there treated me wonderful, I had a amazing time and I cant thank them enough!!
Great views stayed here on a marching band trip. Has great views around but this place is where all the schools and groups stay for Disney some groups were disruptive and rude. Me and my friends were heading to our room we decides to take the elevator when a couple kids ran it the last second hit there floor then it the fire alarm button and ran away.
The room was excellent. Very clean and seemed recently remodeled. Fresh paint and new fixtures.
The discount lowered the price to $118. A night. Normal rate was $195. The area is well cared for and constant cleaning going on.
We really enjoined our stay at the resort. The hotel was really clean and all staff was very hospitable. The hotel was very clean and there were lost of activities for the children around the pool. Great resort two thumbs up
Not bad...The rooms are a little small gut for the amount of time we spent in them ot made no difference. The complex is huge i tell ya. Food in resturant is good. It cafeteria style. There is a bar at the pool that is moderately priced. Buses to the parks are available plan on waiting in line for about 20 minutes missed it. They did screw up ourbroom when we got there. They gave us someone elses room so we had to move after we had unpacked. Which caused us to miss a fast pass and dinner reservations.
Need to open up food court . Not just mobile ordering, And need to expand menu and bring back all the desserts like ice cream. After all I am on vacation.
Comfortable beds, pretty good little food court area with a lot of options that stays open late. The theming is fun, but mostly its just the most reasonably priced room on a Disney property to get access to all the extras you get as a hotel guest. It's not amazing, but its definitely a whole lot better than a standard freeway off ramp motel.
Very friendly staff, willing to help when we forgot some toiletries. Excellent rooms, convenient bus service. We all really enjoyed our stay
The place is very retro, which dates it not in a good way, but all the accommodations are nice and clean with newer furnishings. One of the more budget friendly locations, so expect lots of kids.
Stayed with my wife and our two boys (8&5) and we had a fantastic time. The pool parties were fun when we weren't at the parks, the food was pretty decent (not over the top but definitely no complaints), and the room was clean and quiet. I was skeptical about a value resort having never stayed before and wanted my kids to have a great time and we definitely had an absolutely fantastic 9 day stay here. Don't let the word "value" dissuade you from booking, it was a great experience.
My ONLY advice; sign up for Uber/Lyft and take those to the parks if you intend to go early. The lines for the busses are really long in the mornings and it's so worth five to ten dollars to get to the park hassle free in minutes. You'll wait in line enough in the parks, starting the day off right with a quick ride in an Uber/Lyft was huge for our vacation.
Awesome as usual. Especially with a certain cast member who is doing an internship.
Very nice new rennovated rooms, everything felt brand new. Only complaint was the walls are paper thin, can practically hear everything in other rooms.
Couldn't have been better. The entire trip was effortless. We definitely felt taken care of.
Love the remodeled room in 90's! Very nice change from the stay 4 years ago.
I recommend this resort to anyone wanting to experience or relive the 70's 80's 90's. Staff is wonderful. Your family and friends will enjoy it.
The resort was as Magical as before. Loved it. Cast Members were helpful and knowledgeable. We would stay here again.
Rooms are what you pay for -- small, dark, and not as clean as other Disney resorts. Check in was a very slow process too. The ice machines near our room were all broken. The food service at the Pop Century food court is not efficient. I had to wait over an hour for my mobile order which were just for drinks. Based on my experience here, I would never go back. Lastly, the cast members at the main food court and main shop are not very welcoming. Stay away from this specific Disney resort.
Was a nice hotel, water randomly leaked from near the faucet and my girlfriend and I could not figure out where it was coming from. Other than that it was a decent hotel.
I literally love this resort stay here almost every trip. Rooms are updated last year very contemporary with lots of room for luggage storage, clothes, and toiletries. Lots of storage spaces near bathroom like IKEA lol. Huge smart t.v. and has a Murphy bed for extra room space in daytime. The resort grounds are so beautiful and whimsical great for children and adults who love the whole Disney World feel. Go home to resort after parks and still feel the magic back at resort. There are 3 huge pools and hour glass lake to walk along. There is a playground for lil kids and an arcade for kids to adults that is huge! Laundry rooms and anything u can think of to accommodate guests. The skyliner is attached to this resort also to go to Riviera resort to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Buses are also very convenient. Only thing I dont care for is the food in the food court. Its mediocre at best even tho they added choices the taste is bland and not worth prices. Breakfast is good there the vanilla pancakes are delicious lol. But other than that time of day I try eat elsewhere and not wait to get back to resort for not so satisfying dinner. But other than that its mi all time FAVORITE RESORT
The lovely lady that helped us when we arrived. She set us up for our entire visit. Including our departure. (Shirley Ann) outstanding customer service!
What can I say? Love staying here! I've stayed at many Moderate Disney Resorts and was wary of booking a Value room, but once I did and stayed here - this is now my favorite and only Disney Resort to stay at!
I've actually never stayed here before, but my brother and my family have both told me it's amazing. I have had the food in the big food court area though and that was awesome as well! I'd love to stay here one day.
It was fine but the bus system seemed to have half the transportation as other locations. We asked for no kids to be by us as we were on our honeymoon and they put kids right next to us. And they didn't do anything special for us even though it was our honeymoon. Would pick a different resort to stay at next time we go.
I thought that is resort was very nice and clean. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. It an fun Disney and timeline theming. The only problem bi have is the parking us awful. We had to park very far away from our room and at night after being at the park all day it wasn't pleasant finding a spot and then have to walk really far. All in all I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
The AC in the room was set to 69 degrees yet could not record and accurate temperature as the room was closer to 73 degrees or warmer. I slept above the covers and my girlfriend under a thin sheet. I complained about the AC but no one came to check on it. The bed was eh.. as in eh... thin mattress and not very comfortable. Its Disney low grade hotel and it shows.
The place is clean and very family friendly. They have nightly activities for kids. The lifeguards are very attentive. Overall we have been happy with our stay so far.
Really nice rooms and the staff was super friendly. And yes they do have smoking areas.
We have been coming here for many years now and love it! The rooms are clean and comfortable; the food is good; and there are buses to all the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.
Great family place to stay, svenic location, breakfast is excellant.
Great hotel. Staying here on vacation with a three year old and 8 month old. The hotel is perfect.
When we arrived my husband and I were assigned to a room with two double beds. The cast members were friendly and helpful. They were able to move us into a king room no problem.
Great accommodations. Beautiful new rooms. Our favorite value resort. Check-in was credit. Lydia at desk was fabulous.
Nice refurb rooms nice gift shop nice quick service restaurant
Great resort soooo many unique details for the theme of resort. Good food and comfortable hotel room.
The staff here is so friendly and the vibe of the hotel is just classic, to the music that plays in the hallway, to the colors of the wall.
Sokay, I think they keep it pretty boring so that you go to the parks. Everything is stupid priced but u get used to it.
Its clean, rooms and restaurant's are clean, service is better than fair, room walls are thin, and loud. I would stay here again.
Love the rooms, pool, and the bar. The buses are very convient, however I am looking forward to the new trams, they are building. Fun for kids and adults.
It was a amazing place to stay, I loved the decorations, and I loved the room, just a amazing resort
Love the theming here. Rooms are small with the smallest fridge I ve ever seen but if you aren t spending much time in then it s no big deal. Food (as usual) was very average or below average. Great decor though.
Our room had pool view which was excellent. Our room was on the small side with two full beds. (not queens) for a family of 5. Not enough storage space. Room service was good.
It s a cute resort, rooms are extremely small, but honestly not a huge deal. A few things that upset me were how dirty the rooms/bathrooms were and I killed countless little millipede looking bugs throughout our 6 day stay. It was bad enough that I didn t want to leave anything on the floor and I wore shoes in there unless I was sleeping. I know the entrance to the rooms are outside, but it didn t seem like they even spray for bugs. We are AP Disneyland members, and normally stay at the Disneyland Hotel.. so perhaps my expectations were too high. But still a little disappointing. Also, make sure you bring your own blankets bc the ones provided are the furthest thing from comfortable.
Good budget hotel. It's cheap but still clean, with a cool aesthetic. Food court for meals. Bus transportation uses convenient sorting system where people gather in different locations depending on where they're going.
After knowing about this hotel for years but not liking how outdated it was I finally went when I saw they updated the bedrooms. Clean, simple and amazing shower the room was just what we needed for the short trip to Disney. The hotel grounds are in serious need of an update. The ok... food court was decent but the dinner selections could have a few more options for those who don't want pizza or burgers for dinner. The refillable Disney cups they have there are convenient for the stay.
Overall honestly the hotel is great for a very budget friendly time at Disney World. But I do think the era idea doesn't fit very well as it just looks very outdated, if they kept to the animation parts like art of animation it would have more of a timeless feel. If they do decide to keep decade items than at least repaint them. The hotel is great for when your on a budget and will be staying again as I do very budget friendly Disney stays but I do hope they take a break from creating more hotels and take care and refurbish the ones they already have.
This place has great cast members . The rooms are ok but the people make great
I loved the rooms. I thought it odd that it didn't have a microwave. With the many doggie bags that people get from the great restaurants in the parks, there's no other place to reheat and eat them. The showers are a bit small and have not gotten the wider shower curtain bars. Overall I think it's a great place for a decent price.
We've stayed at moderate and deluxe resorts on property and didn't enjoy them as much as we did Pop Century. Landscape was fun and well maintained. Food court was as expected but nothing wrong with that. We will go back there again.
We typically stay in the value resorts so we ve stayed in all but Art of Animation. Now that the rooms are all renovated, we love Pop Century! The Murphy Bed was a very clever way to make the space more functional. We put the bed up and used the table in the mornings to feed the kids breakfast before heading to the park. I have had problems with value level staff in the past, but the staff here were great!
Very clean resort. Loved the room. The bathroom had exceptional storage. Comfortable mattresses. Adorable decor and nicely decorated resort.
This is a nice hotel. I stayed here while visiting Disney World and was satisfied with my experience. I stayed in the 70s section of the hotel, which was nice. The room I was in had two queen size beds and a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. The 70s section of the hotel has a pool, which is nice. The lobby of the hotel is quite spacious, having a restaurant, gift shop, and lots of check in desks. Outside the hotel lobby, you can catch free shuttle buses to every park in Walt Disney World, which is nice. The hotel has four sections; these sections are the 50s section, 60s section, 70s section, and 80s section. Each section is themed around there respective era, and they each have a pool. The hotel is located next to a lake and has a bridge to the Art of Animation Resort, which is nice. I gave this hotel five stars because it has nice rooms and has free shuttles to every park in Walt Disney World.
Very nice resort great service and pools I wish we had got a remodeled room though. It's a value resort but I think they should have a microwave and coffee pot
Newly renovated rooms, superb staff, will definitely come back over and over again! Love this resort
We loved our stay at Pop. Hoping to come back soon. The room was clean and comfortable, the pools were fantastic, great food court and awesome details in the design of the buildings.
Stayed here for 8 days and 7 nights and absolutely loved it! The room was even better then expected but then again Disney never disappoints so I should have known. I've been down to Disney many times and this was my first time ever staying on property and I don't think I'll ever not stay on property anymore. There were 4 adults and we managed in the room with 2 doubles just fine. Everyone that worked there from the front desk to house keeping and even the people working on construction were nothing but friendly!
This is my second time visiting this resort and each time the entire staff has been wonderful.
We stayed here for 1 week. Clean, and friendly staff. Wish we had microwave in room though.
The rooms were tiny, dirty and felt like an unsafe place to stay. The decent food court was the 1 plus to the whole place.
I love the decor in the lobby. They have a great selection of nostalgia items. The rooms are sufficient for a good nights sleep. It s nice to be on site with the bus stop to any park. The only caveat that I have to the rooms would be the curtain between the bedroom and bath. It doesn t give enough privacy.
One of my favorite hotels at Disney! Affordable, adorable, nice and lots of snack and dining options.
Very cool resort. The only negative was that the main pool was out of commission the weekend I visited. The other pools were nice though.
Great place. Good food. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent life guards. Happy there was a laundromat. Good pool!
Perfect rooms for a quick visit in the parks! It was the very first time I was in a Disney Hotel and it makes a huge difference!
The newly refurbished rooms are amazing. Way more upscale than before.
Love this place, the staff is super helpful. The renovated rooms are awesome!
My family and I really enjoyed ourselves at this resort. Though it is considered to be apart of their "value" package we didn't notice. The food was great, the room it's self was nice for the price, we got everything you'd want for a place you're just sleeping in since most of our time was spent at the parks. Only complaint was the bus stop was always far from the parks but we got used to the walk. Helped burn off some of the calories from all the great food we ate!
Pros: The cast members are super helpful, and we really loved having access to the Skyliner. The theme of the hotel is extremely fun, and there are a lot of amazing artifacts on the property. The pools are nice, and there is a lifeguard on duty. Truly, the cast members are the only reason we didn't just get back in the car and ask for a refund.
Cons: My phone wouldn't work as the room key, and even though I linked to my AP account, our Magic Bands would not work at first, either. The room is pretty small, especially once the Murphy bed is down. Mobile ordering for food is a bit slow, and required even for snacks and water. Food is thus lukewarm. Walls are super thin, so when the family next door returned to their room at 10pm, I had to turn the TV on so I could drown out their conversation, etc.
We booked a stay for a reservation at the parks because even though we have APs, there is limited availability on the weekends.
The room had a queen bed and a pull down bed that threw us but both were comfortable. Our air conditioner would range between 68 and 77 degrees F regardless of what we could set the control to. The weather was erratic and was both hot and cold and our room was on its own cycle. The biggest proble was outside our door was where they kept the golf carts, they made noise all hours of the morning and night, like 7 am, midnight, etc. What else happened was house keeping staff would have full volume conversations across the courtyard at like 7 in The morning. I thought it was guests who were staying there but I got up to check and was shocked to see it was staff. My friend I was staying with told me not to call to complain but that was a mistake. At the end of our trip I notified a manager and I was basically told I should have called earlier and they will pass my comments on. My friend has stated we will never be staying at Pop Century again, which is sad due to its location and price.
If you plan on getting any sleep whatsoever, do yourself a huge favor and don't stay here. This hotel was filled with middle/high school kids who run around the resort screaming at all hours of the night, and the hotel management doesn't seem to care or do anything about it.
Easy stay economy hotel choice. With busses, who needs to stay at expensive choices
We love this place. We have stayed at many different Disney resorts and this one is fun and has great choices at the food court.
Loved our room in building 1 on the 4th floor facing the pool. Amazing view of the magic kingdom's nightly fireworks. Beds leave something to be desired...they creak and groan if you so much as look at them. Great food court/shop. Would visit again on a future budget trip.
Great place. Had issues getting the alley for when our room was ready and had issues with magic bands being synchronized to our room. They had to be reprogrammed.
We have stayed at Pop many times. It's our go to Disney resort. The remodeled rooms are great. Lots of storage and very clean. The service is also very good. We will continue to have Pop as our first choice when it comes to value on Disney property.
Good resort. Clean and friendly service. Good value. Refurbished rooms are great. Bus service frequency should be increased.
It's great for a budget stay. Honestly how much time do you spend in the room. The kids loved the pools.
I stayed in a double occupancy room with my friend and two children. The room was extremely small! The beds were so comfortable! Which is a plus. This resort gives you the opt-in to decline room service in exchange for a gift card! I declined room service at the time of check-in. I called when I got to my room to inquire about how the gift card would be sent. I was advised it would be sent via email in 3-4 hours! We went to Animal kingdom and came back and still no gift card! The next day we went to Magic Kingdom and came back to a serviced room. I called guest services again would looked into the matter and said it was not put in the system that it had been declined even though I had called about the matter twice before! So yet again they promised me a $20 gift card via email. There was a knock at the door and a Disney extras card had been delivered for mini golf and an entrance to the ESPN center to be used before 4pm(delivery was 5:15 pm on our last day at the resort). I initially thought this was the gift card that had been promised to me but it was not. Upon check out I asked if the extras card was the gift card Anna was advised no. I then explained my situation for the fourth time and the manger tried to state that because service had been done to the room no gift card could be issued. I advised I had called about the matter multiple times. She stated the calls made on the room phone with the guest services button go to a call center! I asked for a higher manager! Then she stated that she could put $10 on my Disney fast pass bracelet, even though I was promised 20 which I advised her of! So because that is what I was promised she put the $20 on the bracelet. We went to check if it worked and it did not because I had already been checked out of the hotel. The manger decided to give me twenty dollars cash. Please make sure they decline your room service at the desk!
