This rating might not be fair because we went during the pandemic so we didn't get the whole experience. Essentially, it was like visiting a small zoo with some rides. No shows were going and the Everest ride was broke down the entire day. We weren't extremely impressed with this park and although we were happy to get to see it, I doubt we'd ever go back to this particular park. We stood in line for over 3 hours for the Pandora ride and we weren't disappointed. I don't think I'd wait that long if there were any other big rides available, but it was definitely a fun ride.

Loved the adventure i got to go on through the world's different continental cultures. The park put good effort into pleasing all of the senses! The food is either adventurous or very good, the smells of the food i did not have were tantalizing, the sights are gorgeous, there are ample textures and features to please the wandering hand, and there is beautiful cultural music that keeps you dancing to a new tune... And THEN there is Pandora! if you are pleased at all by the "earthly" side of Pandora, as one of the employees called it, then you would only become entranced with the artistic epiphany that is Pandora! There is no pace slow enough to soak it all in! I was constantly badgering myself for wasting time because i had so much to see and 13 hours just wasn't enough time to see it all! definitely coming back for seconds and thirds!

A must go! This place has Amazing family orientated entertainment! From the rides to the shows and live music in the street! The food there is pretty good to! Not so keen on how small some of the animals enclosures were which is why it's only 4 stars.
I recommend the Pandora section, the banshe flight experience is one of the best rides I've ever been on! And children and adults a like will love it!

I'm attaching a few pictures so you can see how amazing is this park. However I assume you all knew that anyways. What you don't se in pictures is how exhausting and expensive is this :).
Everything cost $$$$$ here. Lines are so long that we even waited 95 min for Safari. Once again shows are great, kids loved it, but the price is high and need a full day to do just one park properly.
Also food is very low quality, not healthy and again over priced. That is the complete picture. Not 5 stars. They sell way too many tickets for the size of the park. It's all about $$$

Not quite enough animals to be a zoo and not quite enough rides to be a theme park. Went in early March on a Saturday and every ride was over an hour and the adult ones where 2+ hours. If you have a kid it might be exciting to them but not for adults. If you're and adult. Don't waste your time and money at Disney world, go to Universal.

So much to see at Animal Kingdom besides all the little paths to explore around the Tree of Life there are so many Adventures for all ages. Really enjoyed Lion King so colorful and beautiful music, Mount Everest roller coaster was so much fun especially going backwards. Kilimanjaro Safari is so relaxing and educational. At 8:30 p.m. the Tree of Life Begins a presentation which continues until closing so fascinating to see the land of Pandora and all the imagineering that went into creating that land, prepare to get soaked at Kali River Rapids. Animal Kingdom was probably my favorite of Disney World because it was so relaxing and so artistic. Dinoland is fun especially with little kids. I was not prepared for getting wet on it's a bug life as they sent moisture through the air several times. There were a lot of kiosk that honor the Dining Plan for counter service. eight Spoon Cafe, Pizza Safari, Pongo Pongo excetera.

Love this park! Have been going since it opened. The new Pandora area with very beautiful. The rides there were not my cup of tea, but I enjoyed the Dinosaur ride and Mt Everest. I was thrilled to see Pineapple Dole Whip there, as it is always a favorite. We enjoyed the food at Satu li Canteen was ok, but I recommend the Lumpia from Pongu Pongu instead they have lunch elsewhere. Also had Yak and Yeti quick service. The honey chicken was wanting, but the Chef s Special that day, Korean BBQ Ribs with Fries, was really good. The only think we missed was the River of Lights show. Next time!

It's a must visit if you are a fan of Disney like my family is!

Of all the parks, this one has a particular charm that the others lack. It's a bit smaller, but don't let dissuade you. There is enough in the park to keep you entertained for an entire day, and with the wait times, you'll most likely have to come back more than once to do everything, possibly more than twice.

The newish Pandora section is a must, and waiting for about 2 hours to do the "Flight of Passage" ride is worth it. Visiting at night gives everything a cool glow, and adds to the experience.

Expect crowds, families, and small children.

Food court is expensive with cheap dining options and low budget accommodations.
The lines for shows give no direction or sense of file/order.(e.g center lines marking the lanes) Its too easy for people to cut in line. Disney leaves people with no HONOR the ability to take advantage of young people and the elderly. People with low morals seem to thrive here. But my children had fun with the Lion King show, the cast members included them in the parade and it was a nice show.

Good time. Plan ahead with Fast Pass. Waited over 2hrs for Safari ride. It was tiring standing in line that long. Food was uninspiring and over priced.
The fast pass for all rides we wanted to go on were not available on the day we visited Animal Kingdom.
Best advise, plan several days ahead of the day you want to go and get your fast passes.

The ambiance is beautiful and there is an great attention to detail. Do the little trails if you want to see animals as well as the Safari.
Rite of passage has insane wait times but towards the end the ambiance is great and you feel like you walk through a movie. Great attention to detail.
At night Pandora is a highlight.
Go to the lion King musical, it is great

Great visit even without a fast pass because we decided to go just hours earlier. A real intense roller coaster. Finding Nemo the Musical was well staged. Favorite was the Pandora virtual reality ride. Sit down restaurants were a little weak but plenty of fast food available. Saw so much and loved it especially for a spontaneous visit without a fast pass.

Most unique and mystical park at Disney. Any animals kept at AK have hot the lottery because they do so much to keep them happy and healthy that I don't even think they know they are being held captive. The safari is so beautiful and the attention to detail is so impressive.
Additionally, Pandora is like entering a whole new world and Avatar Flight of passage is like no other ride.

Disney Animal Kingdom ~ One magical Place

Disney Animal Kingdom ~ One magical Place

As the name say, Animal Kingdom. This is my daughters favorite park. She love all the animals and what Animal Kingdom stand for. We where surprised on how much Disney invest into nature conservation. Every $ you donate, they match! Their research and rehabilitation program is amazing.

Tree of Life
This is an amazing design. You must stay for the night to experience the night show. It s truly an amazing experience.

Lion King Show
Make sure you attend. We almost did not. Tried 3 times but every time to late. Tip, make sure you are in Q at least st 30 min prior to show start.

There are a lot of photo opportunities. We had a memory maker (well worth the investment.) You must make an effort and take as many photos as possible. Tip, always ask if they do magic shots. It s amazing and fun to see what they have done later.

Safari
Coming from Africa, it was great to experience and show our kids some of the animals. It s a safe and easy ride. The vehicles are well equipped and maintained. We did the ride twice.

We would recommend you visit this park at least twice. Just to much to see. The different settings are great. Enjoy your trip... and remember, there are food tomorrow as well. Do not over indulge in all the amazing cuisine.

Safe trip!

Animal Kingdom was nice but having to walk there from the car was terrible. Include that with walking throughout the park made me irritable. The best part was no long line for drinks. It was a hot day and stopping to purchase something was refreshing unlike Magic Kingdom. Managed to see three shows or rides without long waits..love the fans throughout the waiting lines. Plenty of employees to remind you to keep mask on and social distancing. I found the employees here were friendlier than Disney.

Terrible experience. My daughter wanted to go say hi to the characters from Up and the security blocked my daughter out of the way and made her cry. The bubble wands are $30, wait times are 90 minutes for their rides. Customer relations is very rude. Very over crowded. Total waste of time. Dont waste your money.

This was my second time visiting this park, and I remain impressed. I enjoy the looks of Africa and Asia... And the juxtaposition of The Dinosaur and Avatar areas. The Safari is still my favorite attraction, and getting to ride it first thing in the morning is recommended. It's tough to be a bug is still amazing, and I really, really dig the Dinosaur ride. Try Yak and Yeti for a meal....I really dig it

Beautiful Park! This was my first visit to this park. I had been to the other Disney parks. The layout of the park is great. We only rode rides that we had fast passes for. Navi river ride was beautiful, bug life, and the raft ride. Lion show is a must do; it was so beautiful it gave me chills and made me cry. I did the wilderness explorer booklet. It has a lot great activities. It's a great guide if you don't have nothing planned for your park day at AK. I can't wait to go back to AK and explore some more!

Could use a few more attractions, but compared to a few years ago, the attraction lineup is pretty awesome now. Two or three more attractions and it would definitely a 5-star-rating.
"Avatar - Flight of Passage" is definitely worth a 2-hour wait, if you haven't done it yet.
"Kilimanjaro Safaris" has a scope, that is breathtaking.
"Expedition Everest" is a great and fun rollercoaster.
The overall theming is breathtaking and beautiful. "Pandora - World of Avatar" at night is a must-see.

Disney has done a wonderful job handling COVID and allowing the parks to be open.
Pros: park is at limited capacity so nothing was overwhelming and lines were short. The mobile ordering of food is a great value add and all staff are friendly as usual. Hand washing and sanitizer stations were at every ride, eatery, and there in between.

Con: The reservation system is a bit tedious - with everything available for ticket buyers and resort stayers, but very limited spots for season pass holders. Everything is a month or more out if you want to go to the parks on a weekend so plan accordingly!!

Thanks, Disney for welcoming us back safely!

One of my favorite parks with awesome rides, great scenery and the Safari. The selection of animals on the safari was really impressive. The park does not offer any plastic straws or lids to protect the animals.

It is so nice in there. It was my favorite park. Lots of shade and wind, the workers are very nice and helpful. Not a lot of wait for the rides. You should catch the shows they offer. The Lion King and UP a bird adventure were some of my favorites. On the Asia park, worth seeing the Indians dances they performed. At the end of the night do n it forget to stay and see the River Of Lights! Amazing show!

As always a great experience. Love all of the animals, plants and fish that can be viewed. The rides are a lot of fun. Please, if you can't get a fast pass to Pandora Flight if Passage, the wait is definitely worth it. Stop by and grab a beverage at Pongu Pongu, the Night Blossom is our favorite, with a topper is you choose. Try to stay to watch the Tree ofs Life show at night, it's worth the tired feet and wait! Always a great time at Animal Kingdom.

I don't know where to start. This place rocks. My kids went for 3 days. If I had a season pass, I could see going to this park for a relaxing day. The Navi River ride, safari ride, and Asian section were so chill. In terms of rides, we waited for Pandora for 90 minutes with a fast pass - it was worth it.

The staff is in character at all times and offers truly world class service. My two girls liked the Cinderella castle the most. Everest is the best ride. Backwards in the dark - come on - that's awesome.

I love Disney in general so I always enjoy in Disney's theme park. Animal kingdom was very fun and exciting atmosphere. My suggestion is go as early as 7 am and wait in line, you will be surprised how Many people are actually waiting to get in. When you got in, go straight to avatar (Be prepared to run) it will get crazy busy. It is really an amazing ride, you don't wanna miss it cause later on the day the wait time will be about 3 hours or more. Once you are done with avatar, rest of the day will be just seeing animals, go to the safari, etc. Another cool ride that you don't wanna miss is Expedition Everest (roller-coaster) keep an eye for the shows, they are fun.

This was our 2nd trip to Animal Kingdom, it has changed some. It isn't as large as I remembered and felt very cramped at times. It was hard to walk around without hitting someone. I loved the safari tour, got some great pics and loved seeing the animals. The new Pandora area was cool but the river ride was not worth the wait at all! #shockingiknow I read so many reviews and was super excited but disappointed. The Lion King was a great show and we also enjoyed It's Tough to Be a Bug 3D, it was super cute! I would definitely return, try and use fastpass as much as you can! There aren't a lot of places to sit so be prepared to walk.

It's a surprisingly fun Disney park you shouldn 't miss! We went there in a hurry as the weather turned from sunny to stormy, but wished we could have more time to explore the park. You should not skip the safari even if the lines were long. If you have a Fast Pass, use it. It's very educational, and we appreciate how the animals can roam freely in a ncie environment.

We love Disney Animal Kingdom. It is laid out very well. The Tree of Life is absolutely amazing to see and a breathtaking experience at night. We ate at Tusker House (Reservation Required) a great experience, especially to try the different types of food from the African Regions, some really good and some not so much, but it's really on how you like it. It is a buffet style so try all of it, leave no leaf unturned. The Disney Characters are very interactive with the kids along with the adults too.

The park may open at 9, 8 if you stay on property, but most of the rides and show don't seem to start until 11 or 12. The good rides end up being a 2 or 3 hour wait, so you can pretty much forget it if you don't have a Fastpass and you won't get one of those for the Banshee ride unless you stay on property and wait until midnight the first day you're allowed to make reservations. Sad, because that was the entire reason my daughter chose this park. Hopefully it drops down to 90 minutes or so, but since the park opened it's just gone between 175 and 185 minutes. Don't worry though, you can still see 'Its Tough To Be A Bug' 20 times. I usually like Disney a lot, but we would have had more fun for a lot less money at Chuck E Cheese.

Animal Kingdom is an AMAZING park. Pandora was even better in person than it was in photos, and the feel of that area after dark with all the lights and sounds was stunning. The Navi river ride was good but very similar to other river rides, but the Avatar Flight of Passage was CRAZY amazing. Definitely stay for the water light show, or if that isn't your thing, try to ride some big rides at that time as the lines seem to thin out around then! This is also one of the RARE places in Disney to get gluten-free churros!

Came here a week before Christmas 2019. I loved everything about it! Safari, Everest ride, Pandora land and can t forget the best character experiences while dining at a buffet! Worth the price so our 9 year old could meet Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey in one hour while we enjoyed our lunch instead of having to wait an hour to meet just one (not worth to wait when there are so many rides to line up for).

It was worth waiting until nighttime to see all the glow in the dark plants in Pandora. So much fun, can t wait to come back once Covid times are over!

We absolutely love this park!! It is very relaxing and yet there is always something you want to be doing or going to see! Expedition Everest is a fantastic rollercoaster! No matter what age go see It's Tough To Be A Bug! You can not walk out of there without a smile!! The shops are full of unique and cool pieces. There is always music and dancing and they are great about engaging the guests and getting you up and moving! I could easily spend 2 days here! Oh! And Pandora is stunning! You should really try to get in or FastPass those rides. Well worth it!! The Banshee ride is over 4 minutes long! 4 minutes!! Rollercoasters don't last that long! Lots of 3D rides don't last that long. It was amazing!

Disney's Animal Kingdom was also fantastic. I just love their Avatar World what they have done there is great. The rides are fun this time we took the river ride the first time we rode the Flight of Passage. Wow was that fun. The Tree of Life is just fasanating it is a must see. The rest of the park is also full of wonder and delight. It is a must go.

This resort is very very cool. The animals are all around and wandering free in a very spacious environment. The giraffe's even poked their heads into our balcony!! They even have character meets about ever 2or 3hours. The night african safari is so cool and you get night vision goggles so you can see everything!! I could not take pictures of it because nothing would come out with out the goggles. The animals are happy, playing, and very well taken care of. They have very rare animals here that you would be hard pressed to see in the wild. Anything you could want is taken care of for you by Disney! If they don't have what you need at this resort they will get it for you fast. I even got to feed the animals for an extra charge. Very awesome place if you have a family. If you are looking for a more kid free resort this place might not be for you. Look at the Polynesian, also one of my favorites and I will rate this location next as it's the next place I am staying on my 2 week long excursion in Disney the happiest place on Earth!!!

This place comes alive when you go through the gates. The animals are beautiful and the educators are a knowledgeable. The shows are so entertaining and fun. The shops are full of beautiful merchandise. And the food was the best we had out of all of Disney's parks. Definitely recommend as a place to visit.

I can't not like Disney World parks, but honestly, this is my least favourite of the parks. Pandora was cool but the line for the Flight ride was over 200 minutes. We did the river ride which was sort of boring. The safari was really cool, and my kids and I liked Dino Land USA. The dark horse was the 'Finding Nemo Musical.' My wife and I were very blown away by the show. The water show was disappointing compared to the other shows we saw during the week.

Pandora Avatar incredible setting, truly takes you away to another place in time, as the movie did. So much to see & do, the Avatar ride is the best thing ever!!! To ride your own banchee dragon feels real. All the sensors are in involved

So much fun. Has a little of everything. Expedition Everest and flight of passage are my favorite rides. But I also loved seeing the animals on the safari.
Also love that this park is making the effort to be environmentally friendly.

Great place to visit but be prepared to wait in line for everything. Avatar was brilliant and wort the wait. Bring an extra wallet and credit card while you are at it as you will need them.

Awesome park and well themed. Tons of things to see and do. Lots of places to escape from the crowds and relax. Under covid, you must wear a mask. You can remove the mask if you are stationary and actively eating or drinking. There are some rides/shows that are closed but its still worth the price of admission. When I went on a Wednesday, the park did not seem crowded and the wait times for rides were virtually non-existant. For example the posted wait time for Expedition Everest was 5 min, which there wasn't really a line as the 5 minutes was spent walking the queue to the boarding platform.

The atmosphere at AK is amazing, with one blemish being Donald's Dinosaur area. The rides, however are mediocre, except Everest, which stands as their best in this park still. The safari was good, but the new claustrophobic, suffocating dividers are too much. If they placed one every other row it could be bearable.
The new Avatar area is a site to behold, but the rides are a glorified Soarin' and a wannabe Pirates. The river ride is a spectacle without substance, true to the movie it was based on. I expected more from Disney.
It's Tough to Be a Bug is always fun, though Hopper's animatronic was down.
I still enjoyed myself and Kali River Rapids was a nice close to our visit, but they should provide a cover for shoes and bags in the middle.

Having watched Disney's Animal Kingdom grow over the last 20 years from a couple of rides and shows to the daylong adventure it is today has been great. Between the exciting and family friendly rides to the excellent dining options, there is something for everyone and every age. The newest addition, Pandora, is a beautiful example of what Disney's imagineers can do when they put their mind to a task.

They're waiting lines to get on their new rides are excessively long to the point of insanity. But do to this you can access many of the older rides including the roller coaster within reasonable times. Only bonus was arriving early to get on the Avatar boat ride which had a 20-minute wait 5 minutes after opening. Whereas the avatar flight simulator had over a 3 hour wait in the same time it did not go down throughout the entire day. Will probably wait a year or two before I go back if I'm really that curious about that ride I will just go watch a review online.

Great park for a change from magic kingdom. Too many people with too few rides first week of January. Some rides take more than 200 min without fastpass. The avatar area was very nice with too few rides.

The wait for the Avatar ride averages FOUR HOURS. So I consider myself lucky to have "only" waited two and a half. Other than that, this is perhaps the most peaceful of the Disney parks, maybe because animals invite you to just chill. Also, in spite of the wait, the Avatar ride is exhilarating. All animals seem healthy and well fed, with large and clean enclosures and enough things to keep them busy. Try to be here as early as you can, and you should be ok.

One of my favorite parks in Orlando - we had a nice day and riding Flight of Passage, Kilamanjaro Safaris, Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids and lunch with the characters at Tusker House!

I really love spending only about half a day at animal kingdom, usually because they aren't open as late as the other parks. That being said, we arrived at about 12pm on June 23rd. We bought 4 day park hopper passes online but had to redeem them at will call. They have all lines open, but we still waited over an hour in line, just to get into the park. Disney, I'm begging you, please find a solution to accelerate this process, because this should never happen. Busch gardens has electronic stations that about half the guests are able to redeem their tickets at, cutting down the wait times. We had to reschedule some fast passes because of this wait time, and this isn't the first time it's happened.
Other than this issue, we loved animal kingdom. We had fast passes for 3 rides and the lines went quickly and we amazing! The safari was informative and fun. Everest is still one of my favorite rides at Disney and it never disappoints.
We visited Pandora but were unable to get fast passes a week in advanced. Won't be able to for a while, however, Pandora was beautiful. Even though we couldn't experience the attractions there, we spent a good 30 minutes in shock of how beautiful it was!

This is my favorite Disney theme park out of all of the ones in the entire world. I've been to them all, and I'd still opt for a day here anytime!

They have the most beautiful scenery, the best rides, and the most scrumptious food out of all the parks!

I adore the Wilderness Explorer guide, and how conservation minded and ecologically friendly they are at this park.

I especially like that they have so much land for the animals they care for. I usually feel bad about going to zoos, but Disney is up front about the animals being ones that could not be in the wild for various health reasons.

Give this park a day of your trip, and it will give you memories for a lifetime!

Update: Donald's Dino Bash was amazing! If you can make it there, you should!

It's a really nice park! Definitely more low key than the other Disney parks but still worth visiting. Especially if you're into animals, the animal trails and safari drive are incredible! The Avatar ride (Flight of Passage) is worth experiencing at least once, but I wouldn't say it's worth a 2+ hour wait. The Everest Rollercoaster will definitely be a favorite for anyone who is into those or thrill rides, and probably the most extreme coaster at any of the Disney parks.

Amazing place to walk through the jungles and experience a more Animalistic Disney World.

Absolutely loved the Lion King Live Action Show. Was definitely the highlight of the park. They had some great rides and good experience for the younger ages.

Worth the stop past if you are already visiting The Magical Kingdom

An incredible experience that began with an amazing safari tour guided by a woman named Ravi. She was funny and informative. Top notch guide. I've been on actual safari more than once and this was a great, small, representation of what to expect if you ever get to see the real thing.
Next I did the Everest ride. I screamed. I laughed. The whole experience was wonderful and entertaining.
My last thing was Pandora. Please, please, please go in daytime and night time. It comes alive. The sounds and smells are incredible and draw you into a world that you would swear is real. The evening drum performance was an absolute blast.

It's a 5 star zoo/theme park. The food in Africa is unbelievably good! The friendliest workers on the planet for sure. My only complaint is that their is no A/C for most of the pandora line. It was painful and after an hour and a half threw in the towel and never got to ride it. The park is to small for the number of people that go everyday. Disney needs to grow even more, if you can imagine that.
