Good park to start early. Get to Kilimanjaro Safari early before it gets hot and animals nap in shade. Only way to get fast pass for Avatar ride is to stay at a Disney hotel and book 60 days in advance. Yak & Yeti restaurant is one of my favorites.

Pandora was awesome! Really though, they need more than 2 rides/attractions in this area of the theme park. Without the fast pass the wait is horrible! Rive ride was amazing, but really short. The scenery & resemblance to Pandora in this part of the park was spot on. During day and night, it's worth entrance to the park. I'm still trying to figure out how they made it look like that huge structure was in the flux vortex. Saw Lion King show in Africa. Enjoyed it very much. The sets, theatrics & singalongs were great! Visited the Rainforest Cafe among other attractions. Aside from the deafening sucking sound coming from my wallet, I had a wonderful, feet killing me, time!!

Animal Kingdom has a great immersive environment. I was expecting the least from this park, and was blown away by how good it is. The Pandora (Avatar) section has some incredible rides, and the protein bowls are quite good too.

The Safari was great, and the Up bird show, while geared more towards children is impressive and worth a checking out. You can go and leave as you like. Unfortunately, the Everest ride was broken while we were there, but the Avatar Flight of Passage is quite legendary.

It's been 2 years and the wait for the Avatar ride is still ridiculously long. Besides this, the park is extremely well done. There is a lot to see and do at this park. I just wish the crowds in Pandora would go see and do those other things.

Use to consider this a half day park but it has so much to offer and most the lines get shorter in the evening. Definitely take the whole day so you do not miss anything this park has to offer!

While the park has some good educational value and some good shows and rides, Disney plays ridiculous games with their FastPass+ system that is no more than a cynical money grab by a soul-less corporation. This ruins what could be a much better experience. It allows people to game the system (if they are willing to spend a lot of time and money) in order to basically cut in line. Sure it means Disney makes more money, but it makes wait times a lot longer and really degrades the experience. I can't give more than 3 stars to a company that is so callous towards its 'guests'. Universal Orlando is a far better park.

Behold the magic of nature with rare animals and world class entertainment. Explore the wild and the wonderous. Adventure through the exotic continents and visit a world beyond belief celebrating all living things. Celebrate the harmony of nature as the Tree of Life awakens the night with magic.

It is amazing how the animal safari brings you so close to these creatures and gives you a feel of being in Africa.

The areas purporting to be in towns in Africa or Asia were nicely done but sanitized immensely. The food offerings were not just fast food and had some surprising flavors so again very successful as a hint of being in a foreign country was nicely executed.

Finally the creation of an alien planet from the movie Avatar was done creatively but the ride Flight of the Banshee was the highlight for me. Not just another rollercoaster it was an amazingly well done experience!

It was my wife dream to go there so i decided to have my honeymoon there. We Tried almost everything. We took many pics. Prepare yourself to walk a lot and wait for rides and shows. I was surprised that fast pass will work only for three shows/rides per day, you have to choose in advance using the app or the kiosk. I stayed there for one week and it was one of the best destinations i went to. In my opinion its the best out of the four kingdoms.

Super great experience for the family great with little kids and young adults super learning experience about animals that you don't come across normally this safari is short but A-blast avatar happens to be the best ride I've ever road mount Everest is the 2nd best there

Pandora Avitar Flight of Passage was great but long line. Be prepared to walk a long way. Our time to get to the ride was 2 hours.

The Lion King show was spectacular worth seeing. The Bug's Life is Tough show was also worth seeing.

Too much to do in one day.

It's like a giant zoo. Kids loved it and there is some really good food all around. Luckily it wasn't too crowded while we were there, but I would recommend arriving early in the morning to beat the crowd. Our first trip there was quite an awesome experience. We even got to take a tour and see a bunch of animals that we haven't had the opportunity to see anywhere else!

This park is fantastic. I could spend a week here. The animals are so wonderful to see in a natural habitat, not in cages or enclosures...unless it was to keep them safe and protect them. There are so many of them to see up close. Our grandchildren love this park. Between the animals, the rides and shows, and the incredible food....it is probably my favorite park now ! There are so many things we just ran out of time to see or do...or EAT !!...,,we will just have to wait til next time !

Underwhelming. A lot of places were closed. Wearing a mask while walking outside in the heat was torture. Don t try poking your nose out because an employee will jump down your throat to remind you that you re not allowed to breathe freely in order to prevent heat exhaustion, even if you re socially distancing. It s not likely that I ll go back for a second visit (it was my first time). It just wasn t worth it.

I wrote about this place on another post for Hollywood Studios. But again the attractions are amazing. Avatar is one of my favorites here. The ride through the animal kingdom is something straight out of The Lion King you get to see those types of animals there.

Tiffins restaurant is the bomb! A little extra money for those special occasions! Ask for Paul the server and you will have an exceptional dining experience! Our anniversary was so special!! Thanks Paul!

Animal kingdom is a newer Disney park. It has a lot to offer everyone. Rides and Animals and Dinosaurs. Although, the avitar ride had a 2.5 hour wait. So we did not go on that ride. Disney fast passes are not that fast. You end up merging with everyone else. Safari ride was great. Dinosaur ride was great. I wish it was not raining all day. We could have had a better time.

In today's "New Normal" the park is conviently empty and lines are quick. It's almost a fair trade off for the requirement of wearing a mask. They have some "relaxation areas" that you can sit in and eat, drink or take a few minutes wi4h your mask off all while providing a social distancing environment.

Beautiful!!! A must go on your visit to Orlando. You will not regret it! Lots of attractions, the Fast Pass is a total success! Should download the Disney parks app. It's very helpful! =)

Unique park and generally not too crowded, especially of you don't care about Avatar. (I don't get the big deal, and would never wait in a 3 hour line, but whatever...)

Yet another Disney's theme park. This one is definitely more children focused then others I've been to. Except for Expedition Everest ride other ones are no thrill low speed and g-force.

I'll definitely recommend Kilimand aro Safari while you there and 4D show called Tough life of a bug.

Main attraction is called Avatar and without prebooked fast past expect to qeue from 60 min plus.

Car parks and drop off is within 5 min walking distance from the main entrance.

The park itself was beautiful. The customer service at the restaurants was the worst I've ever had and we were wearing our make-a-wish badges as we were there for my son's make-a-wish trip. For a place that is supposed to have the best customer service experience ever we were very disappointed.

Fantastic theme park. While there are tons of animals to see, including a "safari", the park has much more than just that to offer. The Pandora part of the park is one of the best parts of any of the parks. The main ride there is fantastic and maybe even worth the hours of wait time that one has to endure. The food in that area is also one of the best places out of all the food offerings.

Perfect for a younger student, they enjoyed the outdoors, animals. So fun, they didn't even realize how much leaning was going on. The Avatar Flight of Passage ride in Pandora was an absolute bonus, one of the best rides in the Disney Parks.

Like everything at Disney amazing, the lines were a bit long but everything was great. You might want to avoid eating at the park restaurants not good bang for the buck. Not a surprise that the food might be a bit expensive.

My favorite Disney theme park. The Expedition Everest is thrilling but approachable for people who are timid of the more intense loops and corkscrews. The Avatar Flight of the Banshee is not to be missed. It is hands down the best ride I have ever been on.

Animal kingdom is probably one of my favourite Disney theme parks. Food quality in the themed restaurants here is good and worth the price. Avatar ride is amazing and a must go attraction. Highly recommended to book your fast pass at least 3 month before. We were lucky enough to get Na vi River Journey s fast passes 2 days before departure. But we had to wait for the Avatar flight of passage ride for 3 hours. Kilimanjaro Safaris is a must see attraction too! You can see tons of animals like elephants, giraffes, crocodile, and more. Highly recommend to get rivers of light show fast passes because you will be able to get the best viewing spot (in the middle). Tree of life awakenings show is a must see too, best to view it at night. Highly recommended Satu li Canteen restaurant - Avatar themed restaurant. Food is really tasty.

Wonderful day with a mix of animal-zoo type experience combined with entertaining shows (Lion King) and really fun, creative rides like Pandora Flight and Everest roller-coaster. Restaurants at Animal Kingdom are the best across all Disney parks, this ensures wonderful meals.

My favorite Disney Park! It's always so musical and festive .. you feel like your part of a huge party celebration .. they have rides for all ages from mild kid rids to wild coasters .food is good but as always pricy .. it's Disney.. But they have some nice snacks for around 10 bucks or less like pulled pork fries with cheese! So if you're looking for a great park for all ages Animal Kingdom is the place to be!

This was my 1st visit and I absolutely loved this park! So unique and different. There are no comparable parks like this one in the California resorts area. My particular favorites were the Kilimanjaro safari ride through a real Savannah, the Everest roller coaster, and in particular Avatar land, especially the Flight of Passage ride which was exquisite! Highly recommend that ride, even if you have to wait in a long line without a Fastpass it's worth it.

Animal Kingdom is a lot of fun. Especially for older kids. The best time of year to go (in my opinion) is winter. There isn t a ton of shade or in door areas there and when it s chilly, there is a different feel. Disney does a great job at welcoming their customers and attending to them!

My second favourite of the Disney parks, and the one where my favourite ride lives. More on that later. Firstly though Disney gets a huge thumbs up on the Avatar themed area. Pandora is beautifully done. Both by day and night it looks awesome. The flight of passage ride is awesome, well worth tge hour wait you'll have if you do a rope drop race across to it. Not sure I'd queue for three hours for it if you've still got more to do. The restaurant over there serves the tastiest fast ood we found in the parks, the chicken and noodles are great.
As for the rest if Animal kingdom, Expedition Everest is still the best coaster at Disney, and Dinosaur is great fun.

It's one of the more relaxed areas at Disney. It's has less teenagers running amuk and running into you. The animals are beautiful and younger children find this park interesting and enjoy it

Of all the Disney World parks I thibkbtho one was my favorite and my wife's second favorite. We ended up coming back here a second day as we had tickets for 5 days for the 4 parks. Lots to see and do here for both adults and kids. Lots of great memories to make here. Very well done and maintained. If only seeing a couple of the parks this has to be one of them.

Went with a 3yr old and 6yr old and my husband. The park was beautiful and has lovely helpful staff. The light display at night was amazing. The dinosaur ride was brilliant. Fast pass is very useful. You will queue a lot. Had a good time. The lion king show and Nemo shows were super.

Really enjoyed animal kingdom. Was less busy compared to magic kingdom which really made it a bit more enjoyable. Definitely take advantage of fast passes and you'll get rides in. Make sure you check out the tree of life show at night. Found it much easier to meet the characters (shorter line ups) in this park compared to magic kingdom.

When you first enter the main gate, walking along ...

When you first enter the main gate, walking along path of exotic plants and animal displays, I was greeted by a flyover of about a dozen Macaws. Loudly squawking and gliding overhead, their vibrant colors on display. This was just the beginning.

The Asian section has so much to see and such a mesmerizing scenery, one HAS to take their time strolling through it. I found a pagoda tucked behind a small shop right over the bridge from Discovery Island (pictures) It was just quiet enough to where I felt alone in this beautiful place taking in every second of its enchanting beauty.

Discovery Island has the "Tree of Life" (pictured) and it is a truly humbling piece of art. One absolutely has to take the time to walk completely around it and explore all the animals etched into its base and roots.

Pandaria was one of the more unique views (picture). The scifi feel of the area invokes one's sense of wonder. The flight ride was one of the more unique attractions I've ever explored. An intense seated VR simulator, it pulls in all of one's senses, it's a MUST ride. The popping colors and unleashing of the world of Avatar is worth a half a day in of itself.

However, the best part for me, was the safari ride through was is basically a zoo. It's a unique experience seeing animals such as rhinos, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, giraffes all living in such a relatively small area. If you have children, they'll thank you for taking them on it.

Needless to say, I loved the two days I spent there. I thoroughly plan on returning in the future and sharing it with those I love. Got one of my rare 5 stars! Well earned and THANK YOU DISNEY!

We love this place , but with the Covid reaction the are underplaying wait times. All good that you are cleaning rides between visitors but you know to the second how long that takes. Wait times are a joke. When you see 5 min add 20

Awesome fun! They have descriptive audio devices to guide you around the park for deaf or blind. However these devices are still being implemented. Great free assistance for service animals.

Animal Kingdom doesn't get the recognition it deserves. While it's a tamer park than HS or MK, it still has its merits. Of course the Avatar rode and Expedition Everest can't be skipped, but the Safari is also a great experience. You can also earn your Wilderness Explorer badge. You should at least spend a half-day here. It's worth it

My family and I went to Animal Kingdom for a day, ...

My family and I went to Animal Kingdom for a day, for our daughter's 5th birthday. We went on a Saturday, in late January, and although not SUPER busy like during season, it was still VERY busy. We were not staying in an on-sight hotel, so we did not get the "Extra Magic Hours" (which means you get to enter the park an hour prior to the general public). Extra Magic guests can choose their FastPass+ (FP) options 60 days in advance--most people try to get FastPasses for the Avatar Rides, Safari, and Rollercoasters. Regular Ticket Purchases include a 30 day advance FP option. We purchased our tickets about 2 weeks prior to going (very much a last minute trip) and were only able to get the FP for the roller coasters.

We brought lots of snacks and bottled water for our kids (and us) to keep kids busy while in lines or on our way to different attractions. This was VERY helpful. I also recommend putting bright colors or ribbons on your stroller to ensure you find it easily in stroller parking, and don't mistake someone else's for yours.

We arrived and parked around 8:15am, got situated, got our will call tickets (pre-ordered online), and waited for the doors to open at 9am. They basically held everyone in the middle "island" until opening. Then, it was a mad dash to get in line at the rides. The Avatar Flight of Passage (FoP) ride already had a 130 minute wait, just from the Extra Magic (on-site hotel) guests!! We decided instead, to go to the Kilimanjaro Safari first. The line went very fast, and we probably waited for about 25 minutes before getting on our Safari Truck. The ride was about 20 minutes long, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable.

We did rider-switch for Avatar FoP. This means one parent goes and waits in regular line, then when they get done, the other parent can go in the FP line. In the FP line, you waited in a ramp-style enclosed (under-ground with cement wall) area. Then, you went to another small waiting area. You were separated into groups of 16 (since I was a single-rider, I was put with a group of other people, which allowed me to ride faster). You waited about 7 minutes in a "briefing" room, and then went into the ride area. Though my 5-year-old was only a 1/2 inch short for the ride, it would've been too much stimulation for her. The bikes you sit on squeeze you around your calves and back (to hold you in place while in motion). There was a lot of lights and an "Imax theater" like setting, and the bike moved to simulate "breathing of the bird between your legs." Other than that, the smells matched the scenery, and it was a beautiful ride. I waited and rode in about 25 minutes with FP. I would ride again, with a FP.

Around 11am or so, we figured most people were starting to get lunch, so we decided to do the LOOOOONNNNGG wait for the family-friendly Avatar boat ride. Without a FP, the wait was at 230 minutes. It ended up being about 1.5 hours wait. (I wish they had long, slideable benches or some sitting areas, or stroller space, as trying to keep a 2- and 5-year-old still and entertained during the wait was VERY HARD). The ride itself was beautiful, but very short. I wouldn't ride it again without a FP or shorter line.

Mid afternoon (about 1pm-ish,) we went on some dinosaur kids rides (suitable for a 2 and 5 year old), got some lunch, and hung out the dinoland playground. The playground is huge, and only has one entrance, which is nice if you lose track of your kids. A security feature that I wish they had is hand-stamps (similar to Chuck E Cheese) so you can only enter/exit with the kids you came with. There is a small kid slide/play area, another large free-roaming/climbing on fossil/rock area, a playground ropes area (similar to inside McDonalds/Chic Fil A playgrounds), and a bridge to a "dig site."

All in all, great place for a day visit--we did just about everything we wanted to do, and don't think we would've needed/wanted/or been able to accommodate the kids another day at that park.

This was an phenomenal experience and highly recommend to come and enjoy your visit. I really enjoyed Pandora but all areas within the park made you feel like you were part of that world. The employees were very nice when asking questions about transportation, where things were, or anything. I wore comfy clothes and shoes which made it manageable to enjoy the entire park. I was finished the park by the afternoon time.

Had a fun day at the park despite a sprained ankle . The staff at the park were all very accommodating. We rented a scooter there at the park and it was the best. I got to experience the rides and the shows without feeling like a burden.

One of my favorite places on the face of the earth. If you come to animal kingdom for rides I highly recommend flight of passage, Navi river journey, dinosaur, expedition Everest, and primeval whirl (a carbon copy of the tickler at Coney Island). I recommend the lion king show, it is something that can t be missed. The night blossom is the drink I have pictured and it is delicious. I recommend food at satuli canteen and at yak & yeti.

Animal Kingdom is the absolute best park out of all the Disney parks. The avatar ride is a MUST DO. Pandora is beautiful at night as well as the Asia side of the park. I have no complaints about this park. My only complaint as stated in other park reviews is the handicap bus transportation. It is horrendous if you require a wheelchair or scooter for the parks. As with any theme park bring lots of money.

The Safari ride is amazing and the African coffee is fantastic. However, I couldn't get something as simple as ice from any vendor I talked to. Seems like that would be readily available in FLORIDA. It gets hot there. Ice seems like a simple request. Overall though it was a great plave to spend a day.

Wonderful Disney park you can cover in one full day! Expedition Everest is my favorite, but also Kilimanjaro Safari, Kali River Rapid, and Avatar Flight of Passage are must see! Tree of life is beautiful lit up at night, and the Lion King show is quite a production. Stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge to make your visit even more memorable!

**1 STARS GET BURRIED AT THE BOTTOM HENCE THE 5 STARS WHICH IT WAS DEFINITELY NOT**

Very disappointing! It was truly a miserable experience for us and for our kids even with a DAS pass. I really wish we had not spent so much for that level of misery. It was our first and our last trip unfortunately. We won't be returning after our experience yesterday

Was our favorite park of the bunch. Especially since adding the Pandora stuff. Would recommend trying to get a fast pass for one of them and making use of magic hours to ride the other so the whole day isn't spent waiting in lines.

A great park with excellent features but remember A) the beauty of the fastpass and B) attractions like Kilimanjaro Safaris and Dinosaur close early! Definitely worth checking out if you're a Disney fan!

We are a Disney family! We go twice a year and never miss at least 2 full days at Animal Kingdom. This park has it all! Mt Everest is one of my favorite roller coasters and we never miss flight of passage in Pandora. We especially love the safari as it s different every time. The park is always clean and the staff is great! We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge in April and really looking forward to it! i really hope they are finished refurbishing affection station. My kids really love petting the animals.

Ok. Lots of thoughts here. Pandora is way neat. Flight of Passage is AMAZING but definitely FastPass it! Everest Express in Asia is crazy fun but again - FastPass it. Dinoland is really lacking, in my opinion. Definitely needs some upgrades. The animal walking tours are really neat. The whole family enjoyed the birds in Africa and Asia. The Tree of Life is stunning. While I loved the park, there is something about it that doesn't capture the 'Magic' that the rest of the parks have. Still definitely worth going though!

This was the first park I went to on my first ever visit to Disney World. I was skeptical about going to a theme park for a vacation at first assuming it was only for children so my friend had to drag me there. I was definitely wrong the place was amazing, and this is coming from someone that got off a very early flight, barely got any rest and rushed to the park. You literally feel like you have been transported into another world and honestly I wish I could live there now. They had delicious food from Asia and featured a dessert called the dole whip which is made from pineapples in the form of a soft serve. The wait times for rides can get hectic for rides such as the Avatar flight passage so it s important to have fast passes and plan accordingly in advance. People are nice to you and service centers are always ready to direct you to where you want to go. I just came back and am already planning my next adventure to Disney World.

Do not go unless you have planned far in advance with fast pass. I recently took my daughter on a last minute trip for a few days and decided to go to Animal Kingdom. We entered the park by 10:00 a.m. and only had capability to get 2 fast passes as everything else was taken. Between park tickets, the additional $25 to park and the overpriced food, I spent over $400 for 2 people and left by 4:00. We chose not to wait in lines that were over 2 hours and some were over 3 hours. We ended up doing Nemo,Safari, and the bird show in the entire time. It is a nice park but feel way too many tickets are sold and that much money can be spent better other ways. We have gone to Disney parks in the past and never had these incredibly long lines.

Absolutely loved the Avatar Flight of Passage ride, that we went back a second time to line up again first thing in the morning. Usually a longer wait but definitely worth it! So if you weren't able to find a fast pass for it, go there first thing~ Also loved the caricature artists here and of course seeing all the animals! The night show was nice, but probably our least favorite of the night shows of the 4 parks.
