Impressed with how everything works together and how they pulled this off with such a difficult task. Animals were well maintained in an very clean ambiance and the staff so well prepared for anything you can think of. It might be a basic experience for some but it s so well done it s worth the time, I loved it. BTW- had a close encounter with a Rhino! how close? Well...

Loved this theme park. I feel like it is the second best of the three main disney parks at Orlando (The best one goes to the Hollywood Studios. The new starwars site is absolutely amazing). I would definitely recommend the safari tour in the animal kingdom. Both the adults and kids can enjoy the tour, and the tour guide is professional. Not only he gave us a comprehensive introduction to the animals and the effort that disney made to protect the endangered animal, but also he is so enthusiastic about his job, which you can know from his speech. By the way, the avatar is a must-go-to as well, whether you are a fan or not.

Only go if you have park hopper tickets and can spend the rest of the day at another park. There just isn't enough to do here. After you do the safari ride (which is amazing!) and the Kali river rapids (very fun but a little short), take a bus to Magic Kingdom or EPCOT rather than waste the rest of your day.

The best Disney park if you are more experientially centered although they do have the best ride in Disney flight of Passage this is not what this park is about it's more about a message of conservation peace and Oneness. Attention to detail is phenomenal.

Good 2/3rds of a day out. Without a fast pass though 90% of your day would be spent waiting in line, so really important to pick your rides early, or arrive super early of you want to do rides like Expedition Everest without a fast pass. Also be prepared for crowds, very little free space once everyone is in the park. Avatar rides are extremely popular = long wait times.

This is a great park with decent rides, lots of animal viewing, and good food too. The two Avatar rides have rediculuosly long lines, even in the off season. The Flight of Passage ride can have lines 3 hours long! Get a fast pass for these if possible. To do so you will have to purchase your tickets several months ahead of your trip.

It s been years between my first visit to Animal Kingdom and my second, just about a week ago. My gosh has the park expanded!

I was pleasantly surprised with the new Pandora land and all the places to explore in that new area of the park. The imagineers have certainly outdone themselves! We saw the Illuminations show and it was awe-inspiring. I highly recommend the dessert party with prime seating for the show if you can swing it.

I definitely recommend the safari in late afternoon. I based our fastpass time on previous reviews and I agree - later in the day is better for seeing more active animals.

Crowds were high on the day of our visit, but there were enough inlets and places to visit that the crowds didn t seem too much (other than the main walkways).

One word of note - there are no plastic straws (only paper), and no cup lids in this park, as for the safety of the animals.

I definitely recommend a visit!

Animal Kingdom was amazing! Rope dropped avatar ride, got through in 50 minutes, ride crashed with 15 seconds left and they gave us a fast pass! Avatar again! Everest was another fantastic ride. We did most rides single rider to cut down on the wait. Make sure to see the tree of life at night to see all of the stories.

What can I say. I've heard numerous reviews of this place. Comments about it being just an expensive zoo to the most infamous of them all. The dreaded and ill-fated "lines" or que . True we did stand in lines but I enjoyed walking around most of all(about 7 miles according to my pedometer) and bonus; it was not that hot. I've noticed that the ones that are making such reviews are the ones who take kids on this trip. I can understand the frustration of promising your child a great vacation but when you get there it's another story when the kid have to stand in a two hour line after they have used up all the fast passes but heh, that's why we didn't bring any with us. And before I'm called selfish or what not I don't have any and neither do the two that went with me. Anyway I said all this to say this is a great place to go WITHOUT CHILDREN.

What you would expect from a Disney Park. The Pandora expansion is very cool. The new Pandora ride is amazing, and one of the most visually stimulating rides at all of Disney. Plan to get to the park as early as possible as the line for the Pandora ride can get very long! The safari ride is also a must do, and usually morning is the best time as the animals are up and out. Plan to do the Bug s Life show so that you can get close to the tree of life and see the amazing sculptures!

Animal Kingdom is very underrated. My family and I spent half a day at this park and we could have easily done the whole day there. Africa and Asia are very beautifully designed and Dinoland seemed a bit outdated. The showstopper was Pandora. It is a breathtaking area that really makes you feel like you are in the Avatar universe. I also highly recommend the Avatar Flight of Passage ride but be aware that wait times can be north of three hours.

This was one is the better Parks we went to at Disney. The park had a lot to offer and was really clean. The kids enjoyed the ride and the cool scenery. I especially liked the Jeep ride, very cool views for sure. I recommend coming back at night, especially with the kids the staff is top notch too!

The best Disney park for any animal lover. My granddaughter loved it more than Disneyland at 6, she is more into animals than being a Disney princess. Will definitely go visit again. When buying tickets I think more times for fast passes should definitely be made as we only got to use 1 of 3 allotted.

Reviews based on ignorance really bother me. The characters not being dressed up and the cast asking you to wear your mask at all times (unless being in a stationary spot) is all part of the new safety precautions. As far as their not being any rides, they have a fair amount. Maybe not as many as MK but they have enough. Pandora has 2 amazing rides (Flight..., Na vi...) The dinosaur area has 2 rides (Dinosaur, Triceratops Spin). There s the safari ride, the river rapid ride, Everest, etc. There s also a good amount of shows and exhibits. Yes, I miss the characters too but I at least understand the reasoning why they don t want people crowded up waiting for characters.

This was my first time at Disney Animal Kingdom, and I have to say 130.- per person for an ticket and 25.- for parking seems a lot for me to see and handful of animals.
To be clear the park looks nice with the different areas and the themes from the continents. But still, I was expecting more comparing it with other parks.

Animal Kindgom is my second favorite of the WDW parks. The beautiful, natural surroundings are unlike any other Disney park. Rides such as Dinosaur, Flight of Passage, Everest Expedition and the Safari are a must. There is so much to see and do that will require multiple days at the park to experience. The food near Flight of Pandora (rice bowl) was the best I've had at all four parks by far.

I have to say, I truly enjoy this park over the rest. We began the Wilderness Explorer scavenger hunt. It was so much fun and made the day more enjoyable. I love that they sell "adult drinks" but it remains a family park. The kids love seeing the animals. There is just always something new to do and there is much more shared areas in this park during the year (since summer is most of the year in FL)

My favorite park in all of Disney world. It really does feel magical. At the end of the day disney is a business but you wouldn't know it with how well they treat their animals and how happy they look and how amazing the trainers are. I never saw any animals pacing or show anxiety in their enclosures. It all felt wild and wonderful. A really great park if you have older kids as this park is really age inclusive. Magic kingdom is great for that traditional disney wow factor but can be lacking for teens. Animal kingdom is a great park for a diverse group. There's always something going on!

I went on a Disney trip with my friend and 3 of her cousins, and we stayed for 3 days. We went to Animal Kingdom on the last day and it was a nice reprieve from the heat compared to the other parks we went to since there were so many trees to cover us. The park was beautifully laid out and there was a nice variety of activities from the rides to the carnival-style games. Aside from the massive thunderstorm that passed by us for about an hour, we had a great time here.

What a place. There wasn't the crowds that we were expecting which was a bonus. First fast pass was for Expedition Everest which didn't disappoint, and none of the other we went on throughout the day did either. The tree.. What a great peice of design and characters everywhere. We'll be going back to finish off the things that we missed later in our holiday and to go on Expedition Everest again!

I felt so nostalgic because I had not been there since my high school graduation and I was now bringing my son to the Tree of Life. We had a great time! Word to the wise, Disney allows small coolers. Bring one. The price of food is offensive but eh, it is Disney after all.

My favorite out of the 4 parks. The architecture and landscape are extremely detailed. There are free performances in all the different countries . Very festive atmosphere and I really felt like I was sightseeing . Even while waiting like for the rides, the surrounding atmosphere is rich and detailed. However, if you are looking for a lot of thrill rides, then this might not be the park you want.

The rides are amazing especially expedition Everest. The avatar flight of passage was really good and even though the queue was really long, it looked really cool. we didn't get a chance to go on the river adventure because the queues we're too long. Other than the queue times everything was amazing :)

Animal kingdom has to be our families favourite of all the parks. Love Expedition to Everest and thought the Kilimanjaro safari was really good. Pandora is amazing and the Na'vi river was a nice ride for all the family. Sadly the queue for flight of passage was always 2 hours and over, so waiting in line when you have two small children just wasn't an option. Maybe next time!

Great for kids! Most rides are for kids 40 inches or taller, there are a few rides where children need to be at least 44 inches tall. I would plan to be there about 6 hours. Pandora gets busy quickly, so maybe wait till the afternoon for the crowd to disperse. Parking was about a 10 min walk to the entrance. I highly reccomend for families.

Fun, coaster, animals, water rides, and the Avatar all in one place. It was a blast being here will return at the end of the year. Wait time is a little long but you will appreciate having fastpass that allow you to get to the front of the line. Walking is great, the park is great place to bring your family espically if you have kids or just want to have fun.

Cool park for adults and kids. Pandora island is amazing with avatar themed rides, though crazy long lines. Safari ride to see various animals is also another favorite. Purchase tickets online to save time on ticket purchase line, download app to get 3 free fast passes, and check wait lines to plan on rides. Bring water bottle to refill water and snack as food are not cheap, though many variety options.

It's a toss-up between Magic and Animal Kingdom for best park experience. Animal Kingdom has a more relaxed and less crowded at the atmosphere compared to other parks and often appeals to non-amusement park adults. There is a Stabucks located dead-center of park and Flame-tree barbeque offers large amounts of food for quick service.

Amazing park! It has the most "hills" and covers a lot of ground so just be prepared for a bit more of an intense walk around. For nature and animal lovers, it is an absolutely gorgeous park! Definitely check out Pandora at the start and end of day - it's like going to two different places!
There are not a ton of rides, but the shows are all great! Also there are a ton of lovely animal exhibits and it is so cool to see the animals without having to look through a cage.
Some really good and unique food as well. Yak and Yeti restaurant is AMAZING and the quick service next to it is very good as well. You can get some different ethnic food throughout the park so if you like to try new things this is the place!

Overall, Disney World is wonderful, and Animal Kingdom is a great hybrid theme-park zoo experiment. The opportunity to see a wide variety of animals, many in spacious environments, is a real treat, along with some (though too few) great rides.

Covid update 10/2020 - the park remains very safety-minded with many precautions in place. Masks are strictly though gently enforced, and there are sanitization stations seemingly everywhere. That being said, though crowds are notably reduced, much of the amenities are closed and attraction lines are long, especially on the weekends.

Take your time and relax at Disney's Animal kingdom, because it's often hotter there than any place else at the Disney world.

Getting on a safari is pretty amazing, even a couple different times during the day because different animals are out and they're doing different things.

It's always awesome when a giraffe walks in front of your vehicle. We even saw a giraffe bite at the antenna.

Expedition Everest arguably is the best roller coaster at Disney world.

Kali River rapids are sure to get you wet.

Flights of passage at Pandora is pretty much an amazing ride in their condition so that's a really nice benefit too

Hands down my favorite park given the smaller crowds; beautiful plant life all throughout giving good sun coverage & reducing the feel of the August heat; the interactive dance shows all throughout the park inviting us to join in; and awesome multicultural experiences that exceeded those at Epcot! Staff genuinely seemed nicer & happier here as well. We were able to get in more than 12 rides/shows where other parks were closer to 8-10 due to long lines. We'll worth it!

This is my second favorite park! (Magic comes in first). Great for the animal lovers who would love to experience getting up close and personal with the zebras! We took the safari tour, which was quite good, although the driver went too fast for more than a two-minute look at any of the majestic lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and rhinos. In the park there are many other fun sights to explore, as well as lots of good food and treats. I suggest skipping the half-hour show "It's Tough to Be a Bug." It's mildly entertaining but cartoonish, gimmicky and lacking in any useful information about insects and spiders.

I LOVE IT!

I LOVE IT!
This park is magical, you really feel like you are in Africa, Pandora or in the middle of the jungle.
Everything in this park starting with the attraction to the night shows are amazing.
Also I love the way like the take care of the planet using paper straw and recycling coffee grounds for plant food.
It is very helpful go to the park early cause the line can be long especially in pandora which is amazing on its own. If you do go to the park early go directly to Pandora and ride flight of passage first.
Expedition Everest is super cool, if you can ride two times that will be awesome because at night you have a birds eye view of the park at night and the ride feels different at night... definitely one of my favorite rides. Another most ride is Kali river rapids is even better on a hot day.
Kilimanjaro safari is another ride that you can ride early or one of the last Safari tours of the afternoon some animals are awake at that time and you can see them.
I tried African coffee and was surprisingly really good.

Great park with some incredible rides. We really loved Everest and Pandora. Everest is definitely underrated.. few rides take you in reverse that too in the dark!! A great thrill ride. Avatar is super fun too!! Worth the wait!
Both shows Lion King and Finding Nemo were very different and fun!
My tips - Get Fastpass on Avatar, Safari and Everest (if you can)
Do the Safari first thing in the morning as animals are most active then.
Reach one hour before park official opening time. This will give you some time to take pictures and then you can quickly get to the first attraction you want to do (the one without Fastpass).

Our group went into the park at 1pm and stayed until it closed at 10pm. We did not have fast passes and we're able to ride and see what we wanted...Mt . Everest, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari, It's a Bugs Life, Festival of the Lion King, Na'vi River Journey, and Flight of Passage...which was definitely worth the 2 hour wait. It is truly disney magic!! Supper at Pizzafari made for a great meal.

Lots of great animals to see and things to do. Definitely need a full day to see everything. Lunes are long so plan carefully if you can. Ate at the Africa area for lunch andcwas not imprwssed. Not a lot of selections. The Gyro was not like I have ever had. Felt like store bought meat and not off the spit. No takaki sauce. The Everest ride was my most favorite ride. Fastcand very intense. The wife and I purchased "afterhours" tickets for this park. We were not disappointed. We will do this again if we get the chance. We could exit an attraction and walk around to get seated again immediately. Of course a lot of the park not available after dark, but we'll see the animals another time. The Tree of Life was amazing. Avatar ride, the greatest.

This was our first visit back to the park since it opened 20 years ago. It's a nice park, mainly centered around children as oppose to adults in our opinion. The secret to getting on the rides in Pandora is getting to the park right when the parking lot opens. Even though the park isn't suppose to open until an hour after the parking lot opens, they actually open the park early, so you'll beat a lot of people to rides if you get in the lot right away. Everyone goes straight to Pandora, so it's easy to find your way there even if you don't have a park map to start the day. Also, it's not a bad idea to get a park to park as it didn't even take us the whole day to see the park.
