Animal Kingdom is a lot nicer than you might think. I always considered a half day park when it first opened, but they have improved it a bunch since then. Now it has one of or maybe the best roller coaster out of the four parks. The Safari ride is excellent as well and so is the dinosaur ride. The best ride there is the new Avatar ride. It's worth going to Animal Kingdom just for that ride alone.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is awesome!! This our new favorite. We spent a whole day, ate in Africa and Pandora for lunch and dinner. Food was good for what we paid.
The cast members were so helpful - even when they cold see parents were at the end of their tether (lots of screening and training I would bet).
We rode the Na'vi river cruise, saw the Lion King stage show, and the Ikran flight simulator, as well as the safari ride at the back. All cool. The Ikran flight simulator in Pandora was a two hour wait for a 4.5 minute activity - and worth it.
We went in July 2020. The place was safe, clean during pandemic. No long waits for rides, frequent cleaning between rides. Missing some of the shows and restaurants

Great to see and they take the covid virus seriously. Just that the shortened hours and no shows or at night events makes it so so to visit now.
Who doesn't love animals in a natural setting? The cast members are always amazing and so very knowledgeable about the animals they are working with.
One of my favorite parks. Pandora is absolutely beautiful and the Safari ride is one of my favorite rides in all of Disney.

I honestly think this is our favorite Disney Park. Great rides, Everest, Avatar, Dinosaur... good shows, great "lands", best restaurant: Yak and Yeti.... just all around terrific.
What used to be a half day park just keeps getting better. Truly a unique experience.

Avatar land (Pandora) is a marvel of imagineering to feel transported. In the other areas you get a real feel for being in another place and it is wild which is a great counter feeling to the fantasy of Magic Kingdom.
Pro tips: Go on the Safari in the evening to see more animals, pay for the food its better bang for your buck here, and any seat is nice for the Rivers of Light show.
The lines can get crazy but once Star Wars opens it should be more reasonable.
As always, a great place to go visit. Whether you're by yourself, with a friend or with your family, it's always nice to be here. Anything and everything, just about, you could want in a theme park. Going to have fun and enjoy yourself. Everyone else does, become involved with making memories.
This was pretty great, and I was quite surprised when we saw every character we could think of. We went on a Tuesday which was great because the park wasn't packed. I'd bring the kids again.
My daughter and I visited for the first time as a high school graduation present to her. We had an absolute blast here! All of the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. The rides and the food were perfect! I do suggest getting fast passes, they made all the difference for us! We really enjoyed the Africa region and spent our whole afternoon there. The food, music, African dancers and shops were so lively and authentic! We will definitely come again.
Wow! What a fun place. Loved the wild animals in an almost free roaming environment.
Pandora was so close to the movie, and I loved flight of the Avatar... Amazing experience!
From an adult perspective, there aren't that many thrilling rides, although the Flight of the Avatar was probably one of the best simulation rides I've ever been on. Most of the rides and shows are geared toward animal/conservation education or kids. Night show was ok, but we saw better ones at other Disney parks and Universal.
Two strikes against this park in one day. First is not really their fault but they were closing early and my family and I did not even know. Like I said not really their fault but still put a bad taste in my mouth... The kicker was at the end of the night. I have a baby girl... She is 1.5 years old... Because we got their late we were parked in the 4 to the last row of their parking lot. This night it was in the '40s and the trolley dropped us off the whole parking lot away and made us walk. The wind was blowing pretty hard and it causes my child to become sick. I know Disney has a motto of delivering more than expected.... They totally failed here.
One of the coolest parks from a scenic standpoint. Almost feels like you've been transported to another continent. They have a great show in the Festival of the Lion King. The Finding Nemo show was Good awful. It was very distracting seeing the people holding the puppets and some of the songs especially involving Nemo were extremely obnoxious. If you find yourself at Animal Kingdom on a hot day, there are plenty of shaded areas to beat the heat in comparison to other parks and some good indoor shows to watch.
Excellent experience with the African Safari. Good to see all the Animals. Don't miss the laser show on river.
One of my favorite Disney world parks. Pandora amazing. Recomend to go at night to see the effects of this part of the park.
Update thank you for taking action against mask cheaters. We need to go out under safe environmental, Hope Disney will prove with mask people can still enjoy outings.
Please take more serious action against those who take off masks on the rides. (Yes we had to ride with the another party, dad took off mask kept shouting when employees couldn t see then put it back near station) Other than that Disney does things right under pandemic. I decided to come back cause Disney has more strict rules.
Disney banned certain type of masks, eating&drinking while walking. I know it s hard but you can do better with these mask cheaters.
Even small children keeping masks on under Florida summer heat, please don t let cheaters ruin your good work.
Best safari ever. There are 2 baby giraffe and 1 baby hippopotamus. The dance shows are always great here. Also a very busy park. The prices are high. The people are everywhere. But still a great place. Pandora is awesome.
I absolutely love this place it has so many rides and my 2 favorite are the flight of passage and Mount Everest those are the best rides there oh i cant forget dino ride its so cool and they have sooooooooooo many animals its an amazing experience to have you can make life long memories at this place (Animal kingdom)
We love Animal Kingdom, especially at night, but I will say that this time we were sorely disappointed. Not at anything in the park, but just lack of signage/communication I guess. I could've done more research, but our resort had a list of parks and what time they close on what dates and it did NOT say that the park was closing early for a ticket event, which was $120/person. So we took our happy little selves over to AK from MK purposely in the evening to catch the beautiful Pandora and the lit Tree of Life and we got there FIFTEEN minutes before their early closure. There were no signs anywhere at MK or at the bus station, or on the bus, or at AK and we did not find out until we got all the way through bag check and were at the gate. We went ahead and went in for our 15 minutes since we had gone all that way, but wow. How disappointing. And it was our last day at Disney too.
All of that aside, Animal Kingdom is beautiful!
Cast members were friendly and eager to answer questions. Lines were not long. Very quiet.
This is an amazing park. Everything was top notch. I highly recommend taking a rain coat because raining and/or rides will get you wet. Food choices are great. The shows are amazing, especially The Lion King.
If you can afford to get small children to any of the Disney parks it will make memories for a lifetime. The immersive nature of all of the parks boggles the minds of young and old alike. We chose the Animal kingdom this time for our 1 day and it didn't disappoint. With 3 and 7 year old boys to share the experience it was truly magical. So many different ways they were engaged by the park that had nothing to do with attractions. Even the waiting in lines can feel magical as long as the weather cooperates.

Food is rather expensive (except for the Pizzafari restaurant and the pasta restaurant).
->A Simple cheese pizza is only 9,99 dollars but looks really small (like 15cm or about 6inches)..Better to take an 10,99 dollars pizza which measures around 20cm or 8 inches and which is accompanied by a small but complimentary (free) Caesar salad.
The shrimp pizza looks the best bang for buck if you ask me!! (rectangular dimensions of 30cm( 13inches) x 18cm (6,5inches) with of course (quite some) Shrimp andfresh salad toppings, fresh tomatoes,..)
The thrill rides as really awesome in this park!!
Must ride is the Yeti roller coaster (most expensive roller-coaster ever built!!)
The Avatar roller coaster was on my list but with a constant waiting line of around 80 to 120 minutes I wasn't in the ability to ride it.
Such a fun park. The Safari ride is just an awesome experience! And Pandora is absolutely beautiful.
My second favorite disney park. I usually did not really appreciate it as a child, but going as a 25 with my fiance was amazing we saw rhinos and elephants.

Very special theme park. Everything here is amazing. You can never get to see it all. So just have fun!
It used to be a magical place. Now your just scared of getting yelled at if your masked slips off your nose. But its ok to touch all the handrails everyone else has touched. And watch for the Nazi with the sign to put in your face. And the every 15 mins over the loudspeaker to put on your mask or you'll be asked to leave.
One of the best parks Disney world had to offer personally! Loved everything about this park. The land of Pandora was over the top. They really did a great job of putting that all together! My favorite ride by a landslide was the 4d avatar flight simulator! Hands down the best experience I had between all parks and universal studios! Make sure you get a fast pass as early as you can on the website becuase if you wait in line, it will take well over an hour maybe two! Lots of shows and other things to do as well. Even went on a safari drive to see a bunch of animals! All around a very well made park!
Out of all the disney parks this has to be our fave!!! The park keepers are super knowledgeable and friendly they made our experience a fantastic one! It was crazy busy in December but totally worth it! Favorite show: up!! Must see
Great food! The Bugs Life ride was more intense than expected. Flight of Passage was incredible! Navi River Journey was pretty cool. The Kilimanjaro Safari was a great break from walking and sun.
What to say about Disney's Animal Kingdom?
It is one of my favorite theme parks. It shows more nature than any of the other options. There are more attractions focused on nature and contact with animals. I think Bush Gardens is pretty comparable and does have more thrilling rides but Animal Kingdom does have mie options for kids and for non- thrill seekers.
The newest Pandora area is AMAZING! They really put a lot of thought into it. The thrill ride was closed when I went so we went on the boat ride and everything inside was truly marvelous. The food options in pandora afte the best and the healthiest when it comes to said category of dining, but the creativity they had with the presentation of the food is of this world.
Still, prices continue rising so much higher than what middle class Americans can afford or are willing to get in debt for.
This is the BEST park in Disney. It's also the largest. The Avatar ride is the most insane and epic ride experience we've ever had! Very long lines - some were three hours long. Download the Walt Disney World app, and link it to your park tickets. This will enable you to use the Fast Passes to avoid long lines. I didn't know this beforehand, but it's best to purchase tickets weeks in advance and reserve a Fast Pass WAY ahead of time. Bring lots of snacks, the food inside the park is expensive. Two drinks (Gatorade) cost $10. A beer is $10.75. Two ice cream bars will be $12. Merchandise is insanely expensive. Sweatshirts are $65, & extras like the Harry Potter robes are $125 each! Bring lots of spending money for souvenirs, or go outside the parks in Kissimmee and go to the Disney discount store. The Avatar ride is worth the admission price!
Loved the Safari! Our guide was amazing and had his heart on his sleeve. Loved these animals and gave many heartfelt stories about them. Suggest you do it as early as possible. Not too hot for the animals and they are out and about!
Let's leave Covid-19 out of the picture. I've been coming back to Orlando FL parks since I was a child.
Back when you used a booklet with tickets in Magic Kingdom (if my mind don't play tricks on me).
20 years ago we as the first time we came as a family (my wife and children).
I believe that Disney had done some work improvements in Animal Kingdom, like the addition of Avatar.
Animal Kingdom I'd a park with such potential, and I believe that it's potential is being underestimated.
For example, disney has so many magical characters to make Animal Kingdom into a super park, yet all that's is not exploited.
For example, Tarzan, a 3D ride of Tarzan jumping through the veins in the jungle trees, fighting alligators, and more.
You have the Jungle Book, the Lion King, Bambi, Up, Zootopia and I believe that I'm falling short.
I'm not saying that the Safari is not great, I'm not saying that the park is not fun.
I'm just saying that it can be improved so much, that would improve attendance and word to mouth praising among attendants.
I was sitting for about an hour on a bench with my service dog who was sitting on the ground between my legs, we both were waiting for my wife and son to come back from a ride, when a lady walked pass us, briefly stopped and said to us: "this is the best thing I've seen so far in this park" (she was referring to my service dog, because my wife had purchased for her (for the dog) the previous day some Mickey ears and a red dog shirt at Epcot and my wife dressed my dog with the outfit.
What the lady said, made me think. This lady is upset, because she feels that she's not getting her money's worth.
I love and admire Disney, the way Walt Disney seek and made his vision a reality and gave mankind a legacy.
I believe that today's Disney should not drift away from that legacy, and continue to improve Animal Kingdom, to make it a Super Theme Park, a park that you can't finish in one day and have and want to come back the next day because is so fun and because you didn't finish it.
I could easily give it Five Stars, but I won't do it, because the park can be improved so much.
The best theme park on earth!
The thing that makes this park is the entertainment around the parks. The roaming characters and the unique attractions such as as the safari.
One of the absolute best rides on earth is in the park, called Flight of passage.
Absolutely reccomend this park, it is fantastic.
Loved it! Covid shutdown a lot but they are still doing a great job. The "cast" needs to find a nicer way to remind guest to wear their mask correctly. Some did it so nicely but others almost rip your head off or snapped at people. And if you sell mask put someone out front to sell people mask instead of chasing them away. 30 people to take your temp and one to sell mask would be awesome.
Super fun. Can be very populated at high season such as December. However Safari is fully recommended!
My wife and I have gone to this theme park multiple times throughout the years. The animals all look healthy, and well adjusted. The rides and shows are spectacular. The new Avalon section to the Animal Kingdom is amazing!
My favorite Disney park by far! Seems less crowded than other parks. The rides were fun and the light show is the best out of all the parks. We loved the animals and loved how well they are (from what we saw) taken care of.

Disney's Animal Kingdom is a fully emersive park. Disney did a wonderful job on making conservancy fun and interesting. The Kilimanjaro Safari is very fun and you get to see different animals in their habitat. Pandora is beautiful and takes you out of this world. Great shows, thrilling rides, and beautiful landscapes makes this park a very enjoyable one. Go and enjoy yourself!
Such a beautiful place a def must see if visiting FL. I had an absolute great time going on safari tour! Being on a open bus driving thru habitats of animals and being up close with them was an experience I'm happy to have! Great for all ages kids and adults! We seen a light show on the water that was amazing n very worth seeing! Being able to see the tree of lights light up a lil hr by hr was so beautiful. If I visit fl u must go u wouldn't regret it

Had a great time! Pandora is awesome and the new avatar ride simulator is unbelievable. Disney did a great job putting this one together. I will definitely be back to see it again. We went to the Safari 1st thing in the morning and all of the animals were out being fed...I suggest doing this as you can see them all before it gets too hot and they start hiding from people.
We had an amazing time! First time visiting Disney World! Spent a whole day here and had a blast.
Based on our experience we would recommend you find park self-check-in kiosk and put yourself on a waiting list for Avatar attraction. It's hands down the best and most exciting attraction hence two hour line ups (and that's after another two hours on waiting list) Believe us it's totally worth it!
Be prepared to spend a whole day at the park as there is lots to see and do. Try the green beer at one of the food and beverage stalls and enjoy the magical world around you. We felt like kids again and would love to come back and visit other Disney parks in Orlando!
I loved animal kingdom. It was fully immersive and the attention to detail was stunning. It was so much more than my original expectations and became close to my favorite out of the parks, especially because of the beautiful sets and zen vibes I felt the whole time. Absolutely lovely.
You wait in line for 21/2 hours and about 30 people keep coming through the line what a joke!!! Should have people watching. Oh and go for a prinesses meet and greet, oh no she gone for the day 10mins early 3 crying girls thanks Disney!! I will not every come again! Universal it was be!
Awesome park! Amazing for kids and adults, things to do everywhere. This and Magic Kingdom are by far the best 2 parks of the 4.
Not as many attractions as Magic Kingdom, still the long lines, but that's to be expected. August is a very hot month and is considered "off-season", but don't let that fool you. There's never an off-season with Disney. ~ Pandora is a FABULOUS 4D attraction and well needed for this park. If your child meets the height requirement, they will also enjoy, I'm sure. It isn't scary. Night time, the area illuminates.

Nice and relaxing compared to the other Disney parks. Lots of cool rides and great food as well as drinks - alcoholic & non alcoholic. The Pandora ride is a MUST even if you have to join a long line! Safari with animals too! Tree of life light show at night :)
Wait times for avatar are always at least one hour, check wait times through the day and join as soon as you can it's worth the wait. Get out of the sun and watch bugs life 3d. Go on safari, different experience every time. Yesterday we were held up by rhino's not wanting to get off the road, great photo opportunity. Don't forget to make use of the Disney photography professionals, save and download your photo's so you don't lose them. Have a great time.
After 6 hours at Animal Kingdom it s was a great spot to relax and enjoying food and wine ! Super friendly stuff and nice atmosphere. They have a small plates, but it s really delicious. We chose cheese plate , mini burgers with fries . For desert we chose Churros and they was so good !! Very recommend to take a break between rides and visit this restaurant. Located close to Avatar part . Enjoy
Lots of fun and entertaining shows and the rides are pretty cool as well.
The only reason I give this a four star, is because we waited over two hours for the Navi River ride. The wait time limit said 90, and the ride itself was the most disappointing thing since the third sequel of the Spider-Man with Elijah Wood... that ride is garbage don't go on it. Everything else was really awesome though!
Fantastic park. Better during cooler months. Safari ride during sunset is awesome. Tucker house has a good bar with occasional entertainment
Oh my godddd! This was the best place in my experience so far. Most of the ride made you feel as if you were actually there.
If I could ride the Avatar all day I would. This was the best experience I have had in a long time. They really went in on the sensory...you could smell the dirt, feel the wind, it actually felt like you were there.
Awesome place .... loved their Pandora s avatar adventure ride, Navi river cruise was ok, Mount Everest expedition was quite the thrill and primeval whirl in Dino park was nice too !! Enjoyed the water and lights in the river show at 9:00pm !!! Disney has really outdone the set designs and rides. However the wait in line for 2.5hrs for a ride was quite a bummer... especially since no more fast pass were available. Overall the experience was wonderful and a must do and see for families
Animal Kingdom is by far my favorite Disney World Park. This is simply because of the Avatar land and Flight of Passage . This whole land is extremely immersive, and breathtaking. Disney goes all out with every on every single detail, and you they do not disappoint. While the line for Flight of Passage is normally 2-3 hours long, and fast passes book up nearly 60 days out, so you ll have to wait in line.
Once you get into the park, you are greater by the huge tree of life. It s an enormous creative endeavor that Disney made. It is truly a sight to see.
The second best ride here is the Expedition Everest . The theme here is that of Mount Everest meets Yeti, and there is plenty to look at while your in the queue waiting the sometimes 2-3 hour wait. While I have been lucky on several occasions with Fast Passes, I also had to wait in the regular line as well. I suggest you either ride first time upon park open, or get in line 30 mins prior to park closing to ride after the park shuts down. Disney makes sure that if your in line prior to park closure, you are guaranteed to ride.
I would not suggest to get the premium parking, since the trolley here come fairly often. If you like my family, we come here from rope drop till we are literally kicked out, since we like to take pictures after park closure when the park is less busy.
I would suggest that you stay on some sort of Disney resort property to take advantage of the Disney Magic Hours or 60 days fast pass bookings. Also get the magic bands, so we can pay and ride simply at the swipe of a wrist.
We love Animal Kingdom! It is a peaceful park with a lot of animal experiences and shows that allow you to lounge in the AC when needed.
My first Disney experience and was very impressed! The Avatar exhibit was incredible and the Safari your was great! Lots more animals than you'd typically see in a zoo. The your guide was very knowledgeable and discussed how to help the earth and its animals.
Still feel personally attacked that India is located in animal kingdom not Epcot, but the motherland was lit. Many great restaurants, attractions and Pandora is a must see.
One of the best Disney experiences you can have. Dinoland during the day... Asia and Africa in the evening.. Sunset Safari ... Pandora at night. Love this park!
Enjoyed animal kingdom more than Magical Kingdom and Studios. Served to be less traffic and lots to see. Wish I would have spent more time in Pandora!
We did soo much and still didnt do all the activities there. My kids loved it and they learned alot
It's always fun visiting Animal Kingdom but this time is a bit tough because everyone has to wear mask which is understandable

Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of the most beautiful places I have gone! It is definitely a must-go! Every little bit is beautiful as you go through the Safari then through the woods into a place full of exotic animals! I would definitely recommend this place as a perfect vacation!!!

Not my favorite park personally, but still a lot of fun. The safari is exciting, they have some great shows (Lion King, Flights of Wonder), and the Avatar ride is AMAZING.
Good park. Some of the attractions don't open until 10 whereas the park opens to the public at 9. Wait for Avatar was almost 4 hours for a good part of the day and not much is worth waiting that long for (in my opinion). There are mostly shows and walk through exhibits vs actual rides so if you're looking for roller coaster rides and only have limited time then would try another one.

Animal kingdom is one of Disney world's parks.
This park as the name suggests is more about animals, nature and everything that is in between. As you walk in you will see a huge tree called the, Tree of life. This tree has a lot of animals carved into it. There is also a bug life show right under it.
Animal kingdom is divided into four parts, these include Pandora which is the land from the Avatar movie. I found that the Pandora land is so detailed it makes you feel as if you are really in the Avatar universe. Dinoland, which has a little carnival area, there is also a Dinosaur ride that takes you back in time to the Dinosaur era. Another part of the park is Africa, which includes the lion king show and a safari ride. Another part of the park is Asia, which has the Yeti ride.
There are alot of restaurants and shops scattered around the whole park. The park itself is very clean and fun to walk around.
We went to the trek at Kilimanjaro Safari and had dinner on the Serengeti it was absolutely awesome it was definitely worth the money
Two or three hours waiting for a ride, but you don t have a least one TV in the line to watch a film, water or seat. A lot of money in Disney but the customer do not matter in the line. The only place in the world that you pay to make two hours of line and get 5 minutes of ride. Such a BAD experience.
In Miami you can spend the same amount of money and have the best Day of your life.
We had one day to spend at a park and immediately chose this one. It's one of Disney World's top two parks, by far. The attention to detail and park design are incredible. Expedition Everest and Avatar Flight of Passage are well worth the price of admission. If you're hungry I suggest eating in the Avatar world as well. It has numerous dishes to choose from outside of just burgers and fries.
Second time visiting here - we were lucky enough to visit the great world of avatar and go on the newly launched ride. The world of pandora is amazing with some of the best rides I have ever been on! Highly recommend - the only slight glitch was the fast track, it is not as useful as the ones we purchased for universal studios. Still gets a 5 star though!
One of my favorite parks. Covid has people staying out of the parks and that's good if you want to ride rides. Because of the small crowds we completed everything in the park in about 4 hours.
5 stars doesn't do it justice! We love the AK! Always try to go twice on our trips. The new Pandora area and rides are perfection! Can't wait to go again!
Probably the least crowded but has some great rides. Expedition Everest at night in pitch black was awesome. Same with Kali Rapids. My 5 year old handled both. We road Kali 3 times in a row as it wasn't crowded. People like the Avatar rides but that did nothing for me. Can't remember the name of the ride where you are on a boat with adult humor. The guide on this was excellent.
Disney always does things great! I would recommend fast passes for the rides you really want to go on as some of the wait times were up to 2 hours.
Low crowds equals low wait times. It was very hot but pace yourself and wear your mask.
