Unbelievable experience. The Golf was phenomenal and two of the most unique courses I ve ever played. The hospitality, food, lodging, and service is all top notch! We spent 4 nights 5 days there and didn t want to leave. The sand hills it s scenery was breathtaking. Joel and his team have done an amazing job at making this world class golf and hunting club. The living cabins are spacious and rustic and exceeded my expectations. But the Golf, WOW. The Doak and Nicklaus were both fantastic and I m going to go on record and say the Nicklaus is my favorite mostly because of Jack s Shack and the 19th. See you next summer DRC.

Looking forward to the upcoming weekend for our annual guys golf trip to Dismal River. DR is an amazing one of a kind golf experience.

This place is amazing makes me never want to go home!!

Course is pretty cool looking but slowest greens I ve ever played on to the point that it was pretty much unplayable as a golf course. The main issue is they took a refundable deposit upfront and then asked us to pay in full while we were there and they would refund the deposit. Deposit was never refunded and they are giving us the run around. Basically double charged us and were extremely shady about doing so.

Go to Prairie Club, down the road. Better courses, better atmosphere, better organized, better playing conditions. It s not even close. I wouldn t return to Dismal even if the trip was free.

After one visit my experience was so good that I invested in the acquisition of the club with the goal of adding world class hunting and shooting experience to the two world class golf courses we currently have! In addition were have stocked fishing ponds and many fun family events available! We are currently taking applications for a few new corporate members. We have wonderful accommodations and meeting facilities that accommodate up to 200 guests and master chief to top off the experience right!

Best place to get away with family, friends, clients, or a guys trip. Amazing hunting and golf!

Dismal River Golf Club, home to two private and highly-rated prairie links-style courses, is located in the Nebraska Sandhills. The Jack Nicklaus designed White course opened for play in 2006, and was followed by Tom Doak's Red course in 2013. Course descriptions, images and other details to follow soon.

For a unique, fun, and unpretentious golf experience, this place is a must. Don't let the travel deter you. In fact, it's part of the experience. Play both courses, you don't have to choose one over the other. The staff takes great care of you, and the camaraderie with other guests at the enormous outdoor fire pit is a great way to end the day.

Love the Dismal River Club. Just keeps getting better and better as well! Amazing food, lodging, facilities and service. Great place for family fun and adult fun. Golf, guns, pools, games, activities, etc. With the new workout room and spa facilities it's everything you want. First class everything.

Tremendous five star golf experience. Put this at the top of your golf bucket list. Worth the drive. Great accommodations and delicious food make the golf even more enjoyable.

Very large venue. Very nicely decorated. Huge fireplace outside the main building. Can't wait to go back and see the land.

Fun & Challenging Golf Course! Great food and staff! Highly recommend!

Our group traveled to the Dismal River Club for a Fourth of July golf get a way. 36 holes of championship golf that will challenge even the best players. Other activities are available: pool, spa, skeet, target. We tried the 8 station clay skeet shooting range. A very helpful instructor got this rookie hitting the clay pigeons fairly regularly.

The food in the club house was high end and excellent. Rustic but very comfortable cabins provide quiet rest after full days of adventure.

An absolute gem ! Definitely a must see for hunters or golf. I personally would go again for just the view & relaxation. Easily one of the top 5 location in my travels
