Absolute crooks!!! My 60 year old mother went to Maui with a friend and they were extremely excited with the tour they booked to go to Oahu and see the Dole plantation, Pearl Harbor, and The Polynesian visitors center with a bbq lunch included. It was the circle the island tour that they booked. Actually the company booked it for them over the phone since they she had trouble booking it online. When they were at Pearl Harbor and were told lunch would be on the base my mom said they were to have lunch at the Polynesian center. The tour guide said that was a different tour. So her friend and she spent 2 hours sitting on the base then two hours in the city of Honolulu, had to buy own lunch and after pick up in the city they spent another two hours at the airport for flight home. The company recognized the mishap in booking on their behalf but couldn t do anything about it until Monday two days later. She called immediately and was told sorry call back Monday !! It has now been two weeks and they are very dodgy on returning calls or doing anything to make it right. They keep saying they are waiting to listen to recordings of the phone conversation. Seems more like they are just hoping it gets forgot about if they keep avoiding the issue. So they paid $429.00 a piece for a tour they didn t receive and when the final bill came they ended paying around $1,100 dollars for a flight and taxi ride to Pearl Harbor. Save yourself a whole lot of money and headache and just do it on your own. Her trip of a life time was ruined!

To make a long story short our local expert Paolo made what could have been a long boring tour into a outing alive with cultural and historical sights that included the Pali lookout, where the Nu'uanu battle took place... To famous locations where great classic movies such as From Here to Eternity, and box office hits like Jurassic Park, were filmed. We ate lunch surrounded by the breath taking view of the Waimea Valley Mountains and were humbled at Sacred Sites in the Valley of the Temples. Paolo put his personal signature on the excursion in sharing with us his experiences being born and raised in Oahu including his family coming to the Islands, the hardships they endured during World War II occupation, and how his father proudly served in the United States Army.

The highlight was Paolo, his love and knowledge of Oahu made him an excellent guide, but it was his heart and generosity towards us, the visitors to the Island he knows as home, that was priceless. I will forever hold this aspect of our visit to Oahu as a precious gift. Hawaii was already beyond what I could have ever imagined but this Circle the Island Tour, made it complete. Be certain you ask for Paolo as your guide. A side note... If Paolo states Trust me, Don't Hesitate!

Be careful with this one. If they cancel a tour on you, they will do absolutely nothing to refund the cost of the tour to you. In fact, they will try to make you jump through hoops - which I am still doing after a tour that their company cancelled in May of this year.

Just wanted to thank Discover Hawaii Tours for arranging yet another excellent holiday package for us. All the flights, accommodation, sight seeing etc. were on spot as usual. Booking with you not only attains a good deal for us but takes the worry out of arranging all the details. Will definitely be using your services again. Mahalo!

Guided bus tour service to Hana was poor and not kid-friendly.

We did the Pearl harbour tour with Miya. Best tour guide you could ask for! would reccomend to anyone!

We paid $180 for Two to do the uss Arizona memorial tour with the Missouri ship and tour of the city with lunch. This is not a tour this is a dam bus service which charges you hundreds of dollars for something that would otherwise cost you hardly anything- free for Arizona and memorial , $29 entry for Missouri $4 hotdog and a $2.50 bus fare. We confirmed that we would be having a guided tour with someone throughout the day. This is not true!!! The guide informs us of a few things when in the bus but nothinge else. She just goes off to pick up the next lot. Not worth it at all!!!!!! Don't waste your money!

Keith Fujikawa was our tour guide...he is extremely knowledgeable and affable. He set us up with great guides at all of the locations we went to at Pearl Harbor and Ford Island. Gary and I had an extraordinary day thanks to Keith and the Discover Hawaii team! I would highly recommend using Discover Hawaii, and especially Keith!

Circle island tour was good he even made Xtra stops looking for those huge waves

Despite being there early and waiting for 45 minutes, nobody showed up to pick me up at the meeting point. No response to emails asking for a refund of the tour price either.

Great tour, Oahu circle, and Pearl Harbor tour. Keith the tour guide was great! Do the circle tour. You see so much.

My husband and I participated in the full day Pearl Harbor tour and it did not disappoint! Cousin Miah was a great guide and very knowledgeable. They were very organized and definitely know how to provide you with the best Pearl Harbor experience. My only wish was that we had more time at USS Missouri, but that is just my personal preference. We learned so much about local history and language from Cousin Miah and appreciated the fact that they took time to recognize veterans in the group. If you are looking for the best way to tour Pearl Harbor, definitely book with Discover Hawaii tours.

We had a great time doing the Ultimate Island Eco-Adventure. Our tour guide John Jr was awesome. You got to see so much of the island. We had a nice lunch. We would do this tour again.

This tour company was great. Our tour guide was Uncle Keith and he was superb as we did the Pearl Harbor tour. Uncle Keith presented some much valuable information and we are electing him as our next president.

Discover Hawaii Tours is a scam!!!! They operate under several website addresses. They charge you for services when they are not rendered. Just plan your vacation yourself and don't get sucked in! Make sure that you are at an official government website (.gov) when purchasing tickets to something like Pearl Harbor. Their site makes you think that you need to buy tickets in advance in order to go to Pearl Harbor and that it's always sold out. Wrong!!! The tickets are FREE! I didn't know that. They charged me $98 for tickets to something that is absolutely free to the public! They said that entry was guaranteed and that is what I was paying for. You can get in any day of the week as long as you get there early. When I learned this about 6 hours of buying my tickets online, they refused a refund!!!! No service provided. The purchase was made online in the middle of the night. I called them first thing in the morning and they said "sorry, we can't help you. you should have researched more and we have a no-refund policy if not 48 hours in advance." IT'S A SCAM!!!!!

I recently visited Oahu with my boyfriend (for both of our first times) and fell in love! On our 3rd day we enjoyed the Circle Island Tour + Pearl Harbor by "Discover Hawaii Tours". Our guide's name was Kona a native to the island and an AMAZING tour guide! He took us ALL over the island and was able to give us so many interesting facts about local places and the people! He was very funny and seemed to really enjoy his job which is always a plus! We were both so impressed with him I'm not only writing this review for him but also contacting corporate to let them know of our wonderful experience :). He truly made this an excellent experience for all of us on the bus that morning! Thank you Discover Hawaii Tours for a truly fantastic new experience!

I'd always wanted to visit Hawaii but never knew it would be so much more than I imagined and all because of Discover Hawaii Tours. Right from the moment I landed, to the hotel, to the sites and all, their friendly guide looked after me in the best way. I will definitely recommend Dicover Hawaii Tours to anyone who is planning to go to Hawaii.

We stayed on Maui, but had to travel to the main island for a whole day just to experience the active volcano. Helicopter tour was the reason we went, well it got CANCELLED!!! Decided to go on the bus tour just because WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY to get the air flight times changed. Tour guide was not very entertaining and repeated everything more than 5 times. Scenery was awesome, but they SKIP THE BEST FEATURE, the lava flowing into the ocean. I recommend a rental and taking your time. If your helicopter is cancelled you can reschedule without any issues. NO REFUND OR DISCOUNT is offered by Discover Hawaii Tours for the inconvenience. Instead they blame you for accepting the tour at the time of booking. We were very disappointed and another couple was pissed and didnt want to go on the bus, but the guide convinced them to.

Road to Hana was also booked with them. It was great, our tour guide was JUNIOR and he was amazing, funny, sarcastic and sincere. If you can, REQUEST HIM!!

I tried booking one of the Eco tours for me and my wife on the phone using a coupon from the Entertainment book but was told it was not valid, even though it was dated to expire 12/31.

On Tuesday, I booked an Eco tour for us online for Thursday. I was emailed Wednesday afternoon notifying me that the tour I wanted was booked and to call them. When I called, they asked when I was going to leave (Saturday) and told me that they were upgrading one of the tours on Friday to the tour I wanted, for which 4 seats remained. I made sure that they were going to the locations we wanted, since we had been to many of the locations on another circle island tour last year. I accepted two of the seats.

On Friday, we were to be picked up at 8:25am. At 8:30 I called just to ensure the tour was going as planned and that we were still doing the Eco tour we had selected (Ultimate Circle Island Eco Adventure). They assured me the shuttle was on its way and that we were doing the tour we selected. We were picked up at our hotel late and then taken to where we met up with our tour operator. After we got on the tour shuttle, the driver asked what we wanted for lunch, which we had previously selected online. The lunch selections were not the same as what was offered online, so we knew something was amiss. None of the others on the tour had swimming suits because they said they were called the night before and told the Eco tour was not going to go. We then asked the driver about the tour and found out that he was doing his originally planned tour, which did not include the unique locations we wanted to see. He further said that our tour had already been discounted to reflect the new price. I called the Discover Hawaii Adventures phone number and relayed what was occurring. Even though the driver was unaware of any changes, they told me that the driver was going to do the modified tour. Obviously, there was a communication issue... While waiting on the phone, the tour took off, leaving my wife and I on the other side of Waikiki from our hotel.

Discover Hawaii had no interest in getting my wife and I back to our hotel; however, they did decide to refund our tour, which will take up to a couple weeks. Needless to say, we will never book anything through Discover Hawaii Tours in the future.

Better than expected! We started our with Keith who picked us up from our hotel and brought us the our first stop at Pearl Harbor. He was knowledgeable about the island and told stories about Pearl Harbor before we arrived. After this we went with a new driver because we were doing a different tour than others that were with us. We then were with Hana, he made our experience above and beyond. He talked about each stop and gave us history about the island and taught us several words/phrases.

Our tour was - Pearl Harbor, Dole Plantation and the Polynesian cultural center. We also stopped at a beach in North Shore and a Temple along the way.

Highly Recommended.

Tour guide wasn't really a tour guide as much as a bus driver. He dropped us off and picked us up when he said he would. Lunch was to be included at the air museum, but instead we got a voucher for a $5 hotdog (no drink) at the Pearl Harbor museum. I will not use this company again.

AGREE WITH LAST POST............. Discover Hawaii Charged 479.00 each for us to fly from Big Island . If we did it ourselves 159.00 roundtrip each TAXI OR CAR RENTAL 50 to 75 bucks . Free tickets to Pearl Harbor . So you do the math they rip off the average joe quite a bit . COMPLETE SCAM !!!!!!

We were very pleased with the tour. Our tour guide, Miss Kinae (sp?), was very knowledgeable and kept the group right on schedule. I would recommend them for tours based on the overall service we received.

SCAM COMPANY - DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH THEM. They have taken almost $1000 from us when we booked for the Chief Sielu Luau. Then I received an email 22nd May saying that that Luau was no longer available and asked me to call them. I called them (from Australia at my expense) and she asked for the credit card details again so she could refund me and told me to book Paradise Cove Luau with another company, which we did at the same cost. However it no refund has been issued and after chasing them on multiple occasions they no inform me there is a glitch with their bank where it will not let them refund to the credit card and they will issue a cheque instead which of course will bounce. They are offering all sorts of tours etc DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH DISCOVER HAWAII TOURS

In September wife and I spent some time in Hawaii on our return from the mainland US. By pure chance we booked a full day Circle Island Tour through the hotel with Discover Hawaii Tours. It was one of the best experiences of our whole holiday. Our tour guide/driver was Keith Fujikawa and he was most helpful, friendly, had immense knowledge of the island and the places we visited and went out of his way to make our experience a pleasurable one. I can only commend Discover Hawaii Tours and especially Keith to visitors of the island.

- Puts customers at risk to make a quick $ and no customer service despite cutting a tour 3 hour short -

Discover Hawaii Tours put its customers at risk because they did not want to cancel the tour despite the eruptions at Mt Kilauea.

We had booked a tour for Friday May 4 weeks ago, and on May 3, the eruption happened. This was widely reported in the news and all the people on Big Island had government warnings.

Being concerned, we left phone messages in the afternoon before the tour, and called again at 5am in the morning to enquire whether the tour would go ahead. We were also concerned that we wouldn't be able to do any activities if the Park was to be closed (turns out us foreigners are more knowledgable in this regard than this company). No one picked up the phone and no one ever called back throughout the day. The pickup driver came and told us all was fine, and we flew out from Oahu.

On the Big Island, it was a pretty boring morning, mainly consisting of visits to random gift shops. We immediately had government warning messages on our phones about 'extremely high sulphur dixoide levels' and then sat through the 6.9 earthquake during lunch (not fun). When we reached the National Park, we were predictably turned away by the rangers (pretty much what we expected the day before the tour). There were NO backup activities planned, and every shop were closed - this is not an exaggeration, macadamia factory, orchard farm, visitor centres were all closed. Out of ideas, the tour guide dropped us off back at the airport at 3.45pm, well over 3 hours before the tour was meant to end. We did none of the advertised activities, and the company never bothered to reach out to any of the customers.

There were 11 of us needing to go back to Oahu, and we were told Discover Hawaii Tours will not help us book an earlier flight back out of fear of paying for $50 fee for us, and we need to cover this ourselves (actually, Hawaiian Airlines had a policy waiving this fee due to the eruption, the tour company just didn't bother to take 2 seconds to check online). Unfortunately, no flights were available by the time and we all sat there waiting for 4 hours (we could have got the earlier flights if the company bothered to check with Hawaiian Airlines earlier and arranged on our behalf). Being disappointed, we called the company only to be told all the managers went home - again, no follow up after leaving a message.

We get that things like this happen, but the tour should have been cancelled, or backup activities should have been organised. We all suspect it s because Discover Hawaii Tours cannot get refunds from Hawaiian Airlines for us and so decided to go ahead with the tour.

Worse is that I am also waiting for refunds on two other overbooked/cancelled tours from this same company, and nothing after 2 weeks. I have called several times and emailed 4 times, so now I have to chase up my credit card provider to get a chargeback.

There are enough tourists going to Hawaii so this company does not care about customer service. My advice: book the flights yourself and hire a car, or go with another tour company.

P.S. I have no photos to share for this review because we did nothing on this tour.

Don't book any tours with this company. They have the worst costumer service. I've been trying to get my money back for a tour that was cancelled for about a month now. They even told me to stop calling them. Honestly save your money people because this company is a scam they owe me over $1,000.

Great tour of Hawaii and Pearl Harbor. The tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The time saved not standing in lines is worth getting the tour. It's an amazing experience and am looking forward to traveling back to explore other islands.

My wife and I took a day trip tour from Maui to Oahu to see Pearl Harbor and the rest of the Island. Cousin A showed us way more than we thought. We had a great time and it was a beautiful experience.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed Discovery Tours' day trip around Oahu. We were accompanied by an incredible, knowledgable and friendly tour guide, Paolo. He kept a clean your bus and was even kind enough to provide an eski with free water for all his members, which I thought was a nice touch as it was a very hot day.

Paolo took us around the island, to locations such as Hanuama bay, Waimea falls and valley, north shore beaches and a number of lookouts that showed off picturesque views.

Paolo had a thorough knowledge of Hawaiian history, general facts and was able to answer every question and query. He was welcoming, friendly, caring, and we found ourselves sad to leave him at the end of the tour.

Discovery tours presented us with a family friendly, informative, unique and a truly enjoyable tour. We will definitely be touring with the company again.

Like so many others our tour with these thieves was cancelled the day before we are due to go. Numerous calls to their office to get refund only to be told they will send me a check. I did not waste time as no company these days issues cheques for a refund so I immediately contact the credit card company and claimed refund. Strongly suggest not to book with these thieves. Go with someone reputable.

Was in Hawaii for a week on October 2017. Went on 4 tours. The one with Discover Hawaii was by far the worst. Complete waste of money. Upon arrival at airport they would not let us use the restroom. We skipped the first stop, arrived at second stop 1/2 an hour early. Lunch was a hot dog. No drink. Just a hot dog. And the guided tour was their guy pointing to a walkway. "Walk there and meet back here in 2 hours". Complete waste of time. Wrote to company on 10/18. It's now 10/31 and have not heard back. Very poor customer service. Not as advertised. I do not recommend.

Cousin Shannon is the best. He was an excellent guide on our Pearl Harbor and Honolulu Tour.

They cancelled our volcano tour and will not give us a refund. They keep telling us the cheque is in the mail or their systems won't work for a refund! They owe us $900.00+ USD. We cant afford to be out that sort of money. Total scam artists DO NOT BOOK WITH DISCOVER HAWAII!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could.

I booked the tour of the volcanoes on Big Island so that they could come to get me at my HOSTEL, there was a misunderstanding because they went to find me at a HOTEL of the same name, even though it was only 7 minutes away they did not come to pick me up and finally They followed the route and I had to wait 2 hours to start the tour. We agreed to do it the next day.
But this tour is for people who are not interested in hiking or lava, it is a 7-hour tour where they stop to eat twice, losing almost 2:30. The dynamic is to go by bus and get off at certain points for 15/20 minutes, take photos and that's it. You do not walk through the lava, you do not see the lava, the guide is the same driver, so he does not provide great data and relevant information. It is the most boring thing in the world.
I felt like I lost $ 120 and two days of my trip.

There are other tours like Epic Lava Tours that are authentic.

We did the volcano tour on big island. Unfortunately the helicopter flight was chanceld due to bad weather.. It was said that round about 50% of the Helucopter flights are chanceld.... The following Bus Tour on Big Island is absolutely boring and not worth the money nor the time.. Taking into account that we flew in from Oahu for this, i have to say it was truely a lost day.

My wife and I were visiting Honolulu for the first time from England. We visited the Pearl Harbor memorial. Our day was made even more memorable by our fantastic tour guide and driver Jeremiah (aka COUSIN MAYA). He alone deserve the 5 stars on his performance. He was respectful, very welcoming, and smart. He has encylopedic knowledge of the area, the monuments. There was never a dull moment in our group.

Total scam. Booked a Pearl Harbor tour yet they just give you the tickets and no tour of PH. Confirmed cancelation and refund yet 6 weeks later...still no refund. And no response to calls or email. RUN FROM THEM!

I really enjoyed complete Pearl Harbor Tour experience with Discover Hawaii Tours. Would love to comeback and check out the Volcanoes next time.

I was extremely satisfied with Discover Hawaii Tours. They have proven to be very courteous and helpful from the very beginning, organized the best trip to Hawaii for me. Our tour guide, Kanoi (sp?) was excellent. She was informative, funny, remembered everyone's names immediately, and kept us on schedule for the whole day.

We had a wonderful experience with Doscover Hawaii Tours! We did the Road to Hana. Our tour guide Stan was very friendly, entertaining and informative. The day was perfectly planned out. It was so nice to sit back, relax and enjoy the road to Hana without having to stress about driving it and knowing where to stop, and Stan was able to point out things we never would have known on our own. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Maui. We highly recommend it!

We scheduled a Pearl Harbor Tour. The shuttle was thirty minutes late. I called at the 10 minute mark to get an ETA and spoke with Karen, who was nice, even though she couldn t give me an ETA. I called again at the 20, 25, and 30 minute mark and was sent to voice mail. At the 30 minute mark, she did call my mother in law this was when the bus was pulling up.

I don t write bad reviews, what compelled me to write this review was the bus driver s attitude, not even necessarily at the beginning of the trip, but what he said at the end.

We were understandably frustrated when the bus arrived. Ariel (aka Cousin K), the tour guide, stepped off of the bus to call for us. We asked him about our missed time at Pearl Harbor he heard our frustration and immediately minimalized our concern by saying, All Aloha, we re on island time cousin . He didn t answer our question. We responded with, What about the 30 minutes? Yeah we re a bit more frustrated. His response was, You are not going to board that bus with that attitude, you re on vacation (I m not actually, I work here), relax, I got you covered cousin. *note, no apology given.

I have been on several tours over the last 10 months never have they been 30 minutes late maybe ten. My experience with the Hawaiians is that they are Aloha, sweet and understanding, accommodating. Ariel was the first to dismiss my concerns minimalize them. I m not sure about what transpired to make the bus that late but it wasn t due to myself, nor my family.

So we shut up. We got on the bus, picked one more person up and preceded to Pearl Harbor. Ariel continued to call us cousin sometimes numerous times in a sentence. While this normally wouldn t annoy me, it is an honor, it felt completely false coming from Ariel. Ohana do not treat each other with a marginal minimalistic approach of interest.

We either swallowed our frustration or lost our tour. We elected to take a Lyft back to my family s hotel instead of riding back on the bus. We wanted to walk the grounds in leisure. I m pretty sure they d not push back the pick up time by 30 minutes to make up for their lateness.

When we informed Ariel of this, he said to me, Girl, I hope you get your Aloha back . He said this not once, but twice. This is what compelled me to write this. For him to assume I did not have Aloha in me that I should just let go a chunk of time that was paid for and be okay and not question it, was quite frustrating.

This is not a one star review, it is a two. I know the entire company is not Ariel and to judge a company by one employee would be unfair.

Yeah, I suppose he was right in a way, my Aloha for him was not there. And Ariel, if you read this, two things 1) a simple and sincere apology at the get go would have had my Aloha back 2) My Aloha came back in the form of Nelson, a Lyft driver, who gave us a ride around Chinatown.

normally, when I go on vacation anywhere I always go on on my own and never plan much. When I visited Hawaii in 2014 for my son's re-enlistment I booked a Discover Hawaii tour on a whim and am so glad I did. Learned a ton and am so glad I was able to just sit back and enjoy rather than looking at maps all the time and trying to figure out traffic and parking! Anyone that goes to Hawaii should book a tour with you guys----it is MOST worthwhile!

I want to love everything about this tour company, but I can't. I did the Pearl Harbor and Honolulu tour from Lahaina, Maui to Oahu. The package notes a private plane from Maui to Oahu and, on the return, a flight over the Cliffs of Molokai.

The plane is, in fact, a commercial flight from Kapalua to Oahu. The Pearl Harbor experience is incredible, and credit to them for having the fast access tickets. The shuttle is great from there to the USS Missouri. The Missouri and its juxtaposition to the USS Arizona is pretty humbling.

The driving tour of downtown Honolulu, through the old royal Hawaiian buildings is great, as is the drive up to the Punchbowl.

However, once dropped at the airport, and back onto my commercial flight from Oahu to Maui, there was no flyby of the Molokai cliffs. Just a straight return to Kapalua.

I thought I might have misread, but upon re-reading the literature on the tour I had purchased for about $479.00, I realized that the private plane with the tour of Molokai by air is a part of it. Which never materialized.

I did this tour in July 2014 and emailed them my concern about this and asked if they might be able to refund me a portion of the charge since they did not produce everything they have promised. Six months later, I have yet to receive a reply to my email and have sent another. The lack of customer service is fairly disappointing.

Be wary of what you sign up for with this company.

We were on a company tour to Hawaii. We spend one week there last month. The service from Discover Hawaii Tours was incredible especially their highly knowledgeable and friendly guides.

Fantastic island tour to Pearl Harbor, North shore, Kualoa ranch and more....great time made better by my singing tour guide John Jr. Who was not only knowledgeable but have great tips and was very entertaining. Don't miss out on this!! "Bronx" will definitely remember this Tour! Mahalo nui loa!!

My husband and I went to Oahu for our Birthday Celebration. Cousin Mia was our tour driver to Pearl Harbor. He not only gave us valuable history information but outstanding customer service. We will definitely use and refer friends and family to this company in the future. Mahalo!!!

Impresentables! I canceled a tour with more than 72 hours in advance and still have not returned anything. I have been complaining since May ... A shame.

AVOID the guided tour with Discover Hawaii Tours to Volcano National Park! We travelled from Maui JUST for the helicopter tour and helicopter flight was CANCELLED. Instead, we got DRAGGED for 9 hours - including two (2) one hour (!!) breaks for lunch/dinner - with a terrible guide, who repeated his boring stories endlessly. To add insult to injury, Discover Hawaii Tours refunded only a fraction of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters cost. Also, the promised itinerary included a long list of attractions in Hilo, but none was delivered. Driving through the attractions of Volcano National Park should take 2-3 hours - rent a car instead!

We took a great tour to Pearl Harbor. Our tour guide was very nice and entertaining. It was very interesting.

We've been coming to Hawaii since 2005 and the Honolulu/Pearl Harbor tour with Cousin Maya was the best guided tour we've experienced. Very informative and extremely entertaining at the same time. Thank you Cousin Maya, cheehoo!!!

This is an aggregator service that books tours/trips with other companies. They charge you upfront and allow you to book even if the tours are not available through other companies and then don't refund you for 10 days. Sounds like a great way to get interest off your money. I would avoid them and look for the trips through direct companies.

My family and I are visiting from Florida. We are in Oahu for 2 weeks and decided to see the real Hawai and go to the Big Island for the volcanos and black beaches. We booked with this company and had a great experience. YB our tour guide was full of energy and took us to local places as well all the popular tourist sites. We had a great time. Thanks YB and discover Hawaii tours.

Cousin Ariel is a fantastic guide!! He arrived as scheduled with a big smile on his face. He shared his knowledge of the island, Pearl Harbor and Hawaiian culture and we learned so much! He has a wonderful sense of humor and plays the ukelele and sings! A true entertainer! We were so happy that we decided to do this tour rather than try to go it alone!

I really enjoyed the Volcano tour of Hawaii. Friendly guides and great overall experience. Highly recommended.

On my recent trip to Hawaii I went online to book the Road to Hana tour. The website showed a tour available on the date I wanted and let me proceed to book. When I never received a confirmation email I called them and the tour was oversold. I asked if there was availability on another day we could go and they said that one was oversold too. They charged my card and said they would mail me a refund check. A week later I call and no check had been mailed and I was told my credit card can be refunded. I am told by the customer service rep that the refund has been processed but I still have no refund showing on my credit card account. I am guessing I will need to dispute this through my credit card company to get my money back. We ended up going to a tour through Roberts Hawaii and it was excellent.

Ariel was VERY rude, even told us we couldnt use the restroom. We found out later that he cut the tour of Pearl Harbor short by an hour and a half!

I was VERY DISAPPOINTED that Discover Hawaii Tours had changed our tour to a different tour, one day prior to our date. Their reason was that they did not have enough people for this tour, (a possible change in tour should be an alert under the tours descriptions). I had highly suggested Oahu Mini Circle Island w/ Pearl Harbor Arizona Memorial for my 4 family members since my husband and I had done it 2017 and knew that they were on the more adventurous side. They missed exploring the rainforest and rugged cliffs and sea scapes, while instead rerouted to the Polynesian Culture Center for the same experience that was planned at a Luau. Their monies for both of these excursions were used for one in the same. This was their first trip to Hawaii. They flew to Oahu for this highly suggested route from me, since I have been multiple times. Upon return to Maui I heard the disappointment in their voices as they informed me of their experience and that it was not what they were expecting. I phoned Discover Tours to ask what had happened and customer service told me that my family's tour was an upgrade, in a surprised voice. I explained that it wasn't about the "upgrade/money" , but about the outdoor experience. She did not call me back to follow up as she had told me, I had to call and track her down. She informed me in a disgusted voice, that she had gotten an approved amount of money return in the amount that the upgrade was. A trip's plan is very important when traveling the distance form PA to HI. My family learned that there were 4 other people who's original plans were also changed that day on this excursion. So why not supply a driver and give your customers the trip that they had specifically picked for their memories, and not what you think that they want to experience!!! Again their Luau experience was a repeated experience. I HAD to give a one star to post this.... My husband and I did 2 exceptional tours in 2017 directly with Aloha Sunshine Tours with no problems. I don't know if Discover is the reason for this mix up?

It was really my best trip ever. You guys are doing a great job. Thanks for making my Hawaii trip a memorable one!

Your dodgy business tactics will not get you very far on an island. Wait, unless your lifeline is tourists who don't know about your ethics!
Maybe I can help them make their decision.
If you are looking for a tour company who doesn't keep their agreements, requests discounts for no reason, then doesn't pay their contractors the discounted price, doesn't answer or return attempts to communicate,
this is the tour company you should support!
I wish I had I known your land lease was terminated by the State, I would not have ignored the other red flags.
I wish I read your business reviews, I am not the first to call you on your ethics.

We did the Pearl Harbor and Oahu Circle Island Tour with John Jr, a native from the east side of the Oahu island. He was amazing. He spoke the language and new the island extremely well. Besides a great singer (he stopped several times and sang to us Hawaiian songs with his Uke), he knew so much about the island. It was a 6:25A to 5:30P tour but the day went by so fast. Best tour we've had from Sydney to Honolulu for our trip through the Polynesian Islands. Fantastic!!!! Fantastic!!! Fantastic!!!
