The service was amazing and the food tasted great. Five stars for sure
The food and services were awesome. Could eat there everyday.
A favorite location for cajun food. Don't worry if it's busy, it is worth the wait. Service is typically great. The place has a nice feel to it. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.
The food is good, the customer service is HORRIBLE. Our son is 10 years old and autistic. He has a very narrow range of food likes and nothing from Dirty Al's (children's menu included). However, we enjoy the food and have eaten there several times. Tonight, went in with a burger from a fast-food restaurant. As soon as he finished his kids meal we cleaned up and put all the trash in the small paper bag and placed it on the table next to the wall. The hostess that seated us saw the bag, a waiter commented on his kids drink and our waitress also saw his kids meal. we were not told anything. We ordered our food and a tea for our son. He had finished his food before ours came so we ordered him dessert to be brought at the same time our food would be served. We were in the middle of our meal when we were approached by the manager. He told us outside food was not accepted and this would not be approved of by the owner. We explained our sons disability and he said "we have burgers here and he could eat that" or place our son's food in a to go box in the future. We immediately stopped eating since he had ruined our dinner and paid our $53.00 bill. He did not make any attempt to recover our patronage. Finally, there was no sign posted that outside food was disallowed. The manager told one of the employees "we need to get a sign posted". WE WILL NEVER GO BACK OR EXPOSE OUR SON TO THIS KIND OF HUMILIATION.
Great service, friendly server, very helpful with questions. Food was awesome and plenty of it.
The service was fantastic! I want to thank Vanessa for great service. The food was on point like always.
Didn't even bother to ask us what we wanted to drink. So we just left.
Complete deception... No Cajun Creole atmosphere at all.... Food has no flavor or seasoning.... You sir need to remove anything Cajun off your logo... Very insulting to "us" real Cajuns....
Great service, Bethany was very attentive, food was good.
Have eaten at the Bayou Grill two times in the last week. Shrimp, oysters, fried okra, and margaritas are fantastic!
It quality of the food goes lower with each visit. I ordered etouffee with crawfish, I got gravy with onions as etouffee. No liquor in my drink mostly mix. It was very slow while there, when this place first opened there was always a wait. So, "Dirty Al's" take note. Oh, the menu, no real choices of Excitement.
went for the Quail, and discovered the best I have yet had to date. Marinated, perfectly prepared and available in appetizer or entree sizes. I also had the ceviche, which was also some of the best I have ever had anywhere around the world. The atmosphere and service were delightful, attentive and professional. I recommend this restaurant highly and give.
Seems it's lost its luster, kinda dirty, bathroom was over flooding, n food was nothing special, will not be eating there any more, to plain, n expensive. It just felt dirty.
Food was good ....but it took a long time to be served...
A little bit pricey be is worth it with every bite. Cocktails are priced right and taste awsome. Try the fried red snapper
25 min. Wait to be seated, after sat down waiter signed me he would be with us. Never came back got up and left found waiter in front chatting, I told him he was taking too long we were leaving. Ended up at LA Costa grille excellent food and service (5 stars).
Used to the dirty Al's in brownsville texas. When you order the calamari as a appetizer you can have the sauce that comes with it warmed. Although I asked the server to have it warm the manager who brought out the appetizer said they don't do that here. Everything else was just great.
Good food but a little pricey. Our waiter Gus was great. He knew his menu on point.
Excellent Cajan food at a reasonable price. Inviting atmosphere.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Food is so fresh. Love it.
I orderd a plate to go "cajun mixup" and they forgot to put my half pound of shrimp. I live in edinburg im not driving back to mcallen to return it. But its really disapointing espesially when the maneger joseph does not belive me. I will never go back again. I know by me not going its not going to affect their buisness. Its just disapointing
Fancy compared to their location on the island. Wish there were more grilled/healthy options.
Calamari good. Mojo de Ajo tasted charred. Drinks weak. Service even weaker. Won't be back.
Service was a little slow but otherwise the place was nice.
A small misunderstanding in the order taking, but the Manager didnt skip a beat and fixed the order. I didn't feel subjected to opinions of the mistake or scrutiny for it. I'm definitely coming here more often now that I know this place has such great customer service. Thanks Armando!
Be careful and check your ticket twice they over charge me $17.00. What goes around comes around.
Plenty of free parking, hostess was friendly and we were seated right away. Had their shrimp with a house salad. It was absolutely delicious. Spouse has shrimp and scallops also delicious. Was nice and cozy, a little dark. Definitely will go back.
The manager on duty that day was rude. Other than that, waiters and other staff was great. The food was great...
...except for the limes. That's where the manager comes in. We asked for extra limes because they were dry and his replied was no until we find what we had.
had a great time with family and friends Great food good customer service
Food was absolutely superb, love their fried okra, I had the fried shrimp and fish, for a side I had okra, I will be returning
This restaurant is always a winner. The food and service are both fantastic and the venue is small enough to make you truly appreciate a fine dining experience. It is easy to always recommend this fine dining experience.
Had happy hour oysters yummm so good. Very fresh We had a large party, the server couldnt get split tickets right but all in all service was good. Ordered side caesar salad, tasted funky, thats why i give them a 4 star. My plate fish n shrimp was very good
Was disappointed with the amount of oysters, very small pieces.
Ordered shrimp botana. You could taste they fried the shrimp in old oil. Bitter as hell and funky smell to it.
Good service and food I recommend it to my family and friends
Enjoyed the food very much everything was so delicious and the service was great!
Went to Dirty Al's in McAllen, and although the service was OK, (not great but could have been worse), the atmosphere was "sad". The employees were sitting on the bar side tables watching the game and they were on their phones. Beers were HOT and they don't sell bottled water. Food was OK. But not worth the price. This place has declined in service and food quality.
We had a group of 11 and all were served together, food hot and we'll prepared.
One hour wait to be severs lobster tail over cooked
Delicious food and nice environment . Try the red snapper....deep fried.
Awesome seafood selection, little pricey but it's worth the price in my opinion.... They have a great hurricane drink
Had shrimp & fish combo. Perfect flavor, well cooked.
I've been in food and beverage for 23 years all around San Antonio I can tell what kind of place your running especially during dinner time if the restrooms are clean got soap and towels. Because it resembles the rest of the house that you can't see like behind the kitchen door. I give cleanliness a A+ the food will also get a A+ we ordered the Seafood Botanna loved it and they have a cozy setting with dim lighting great place if your looking to be Romantic and it has a elegant looking bar. Awesome!
Not very gluten free friendly and the grilled shrimp was very salty! Husband had fried scallops and we decided they weren't true scallops. Grandson had Chicken Alfredo and it was very good! All in all, food was ok, nothing spectacular!
Everyone is always polite and friendly. Food is delicious.
Best choice for a date...food was awesome esp the stuffed jalapenos jumbo shrimp
Excellent place I recommend them everything is very rich
