I was a bit disappointed. Seen far fewer animals than you would expect in a zoo. I myself am not a fan of the theater-like design of the various parts. I don't go to a zoo for that. For children up to the age of twelve fine.

This place was amazing and gigantic. All the animals were well taken care of and seemed very happy. The only down side was watching tourists throw their trash wherever but the park itself was beautiful.
Best gethematiseerde dierentuin waar ik ooit ben geweest. Wij waren tijdens Wildnights, MAAR wij hebben echt bijna geen dieren gezien. Na 16:00 uur waren wij binnen en veel dieren hadden er geen zin meer in en waren naar hun binnenverblijf gegaan of hele gebieden werden afgesloten.
Ik snap dat dit gebeurd voor de rust van de dieren maar dat is wel waarom ik naar een dierentuin ga. Doe dit soort leuke evenementen dan gewoon lekker overdag en niet in de avond. Zo kunnen wij de dieren zien en hebben hun in de avond hun rust. De sfeer was wel erg leuk maar omdat wij maar iets van 5 diersoorten hebben gezien geef ik het een magere 6,5.
De attracties stellen ook niet zoveel voor en er was zelfs eentje gesloten toen wij er waren. Jammer. Ze hadden hier zoveel meer mee kunnen doen dan dat het nu is.
Prachtig vormgegeven met ruimte voor mens en dier. Zeker een bezoek waard.

Nice and big. Well worth a day trip. A poorly known pearl. Butterfly garden, large monkey colony, savannah plain, hippopotamus stay with underwater view, playground even a roller coaster. For each his own.

Beautiful zoo. Negative reviews mainly by guests who expect a renewed Emmen Zoo? It is no longer the old park but I think much better. Beautifully designed and plenty of space for the animals. We were early on a weekday summer vacation day. It was wonderfully quiet until about 12:30 PM. Then busy. Attractions and animals were fun. Staff friendly. Toilets fairly clean. Food we found too expensive and high snack bar content on the whole park. Many visitors therefore probably brought their own food and drinks. Only restaurant traveler taste at the entrance stood out positively. Service at the table, slightly more choice and soft drinks from a bottle. Not busy at all but we had to pay in advance strangely. Entrance p.p.without one of the many promotions, however, relatively high + relatively expensive parking + relatively expensive (moderate) food and drink at the park make it quite a pricey outing. Despite these drawbacks, we had a very successful day.

The attractions were a bit disappointing compared to the many advertisements that are made for this. However, a clean and tidy park, also wheelchair friendly. We have been there during corona with mandatory walking route and would advise to leave it as it is, the route was logical and prevents chaos. The sea lion show was unfortunately without explanation about the animals, very boring because of this. All in all a nice day.

A nice animal park, with many hand sanitizers and stickers to keep your distance. Keeping 1.5 meters away was impossible for today, it was very busy. Widely set up, beautiful. Only (I think) something too few species of animals. I missed the tojgers. Pity that you could not go to the polar bears due to renovations at the park. I found the service in the restaurant a bit long. Especially the inclusion of the order. There were only two ladies who do mochtem and walked two in the same area. Furthermore, it was top.
Too many shields (gondolas, wooden grids) so that nothing can be seen. We have seen few animals. Corona rules were not enforced in the park by the visitors. The entire park was quite disappointing and it was a one-time visit for us !!!!!!!

Had a nice day in WILDLANDS! The accommodation looks nice and neat. They have also done their best to keep the different parts nicely apart, with each part having its own character.
It is true that if you have doubts about taking children, you first have to go to WILDLANDS for a day, then you are quickly healed. This is not something WILDLANDS can do anything about and the park is very fun and adventurous for children!
The disadvantage is that the walkways between the parts of the park. We had a hard time finding the cold place with the penguins and the polar bears. The map and the app were no help. The app didn't work at all and the map is unclear.
All in all, if you want a nice day away, especially with children, WILDLANDS is very nice to go to. We were in the park for 4-5 hours.
For the price you paid, it's not worth it at all.
Almost no animals can be seen in this park.

At the end of December I went with a friend to Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen. I have been coming there more often since its opening in 2016, and it is always pleasant and fun. The animals have spacious accommodations and can walk in and out freely. They also have good catering facilities. During the Christmas holidays, every night, with the exception of the holidays, is the Wildnights. Then everything is festively lit and the atmosphere is completely fairytale. Moreover, there is a lot of music and entertainment. That is also wonderful.
Beautiful park for a visit with children. Good balance between animals and play areas. Maybe a little less diversity with regard to animals than at other parks, but the animals that are there have great stays and the interaction with the visitor is above average. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, nowhere to get healthy food and also very unfortunate that smoking is allowed in all kinds of places, in the middle of the paths. Smoking and children's attractions are no longer available during this time.
Parking is far from the main entrance. A train or shuttle service for people with reduced mobility would be welcome!
