Very nice to see the animals once in the room instead of in small boxes
Very nice to see the animals once in the room instead of in small boxes
Maybe we shouldn't have gone on a Sunday but I thought it was way too busy in Corona time. Time blocks are maintained at the entrance, and the staff do their best to put everyone at 1.5 meters but the paths are very busy. The butterfly garden is impressive but small. Polar bears not seen, the few animals we have seen we did not find very special. Small zoo that we went through in two hours and where we queued for a long time. not to be repeated
For us it was 2 hours away but it was well worth it. What a beautiful zoo! I want to go here again. It is also highly recommended to buy a bowl of nectar from the lories so that you can feed them.
Nice park but ..... walk with rollator, wheelchair, pram etc. very difficult to walk uneven floors bump and dice paths walk down and rise.
Wildlands is a beautiful zoo, with many extras. For example, there is a 4d film, where the seats move back and forth during the film, very nicely set up! The park is themed everywhere. When you walk quietly all day and look at everything you see a lot of animals. Sometimes there are even animals walking on the hiking trails. Sometimes you have to be lucky to see all the animals, the enclosures are very large. The new roller coaster battle is great. Well organized with bins in the station. Souvenirs are affordable, as are food and drinks. For 7.50 you have unlimited coffee or Slush. The entrance ticket, on the other hand, is not that cheap, but there are often offers from third parties, such as Groupon.
At Wildlands you are short of eyes and ears. Unique concept !!!
Outrageously fine and spacious animal park. Animals in a truthful imitation of the natural habitat.
Class animals have a lot of space - sometimes you have to make an effort to see them - that's the way it is in nature. Before we left the park we went to the old zoo for dinner. Unfortunately, the choice of food has now become much less. Eg no more meatballs or cuts. So now we do that outside the park. This is a frequently heard complaint from visitors. Nothing but praise!
It is a beautiful, spacious park, where clearly animal welfare is also chosen. The latter means fewer animals per square meter and you notice that at the park. The food and drinks are of good quality and alternating lots of choice and fresh. The shows are well cared for and entertaining.
It really isn't a zoo anymore it's more of a theme/adventure park but it's still very enjoyable for the whole family.
Awesome place for family day out with kids. BTW, no need to take the print out of the ticket. Just the clear e-ticket on your mobile phone with decent brightness is enough!
We enjoyed with our grandchild almost 3 years. We have a subscription, so come back soon.
I think it is a beautiful zoo. Very spacious enclosures for the animals. Animals also look happy and healthy. Truly an experience for the whole family. The playgrounds are the best for my children. I love the way the animals are presented. You can watch penguins underwater, through the clear water. Birds are not in a cage, but just fly around you. Monkeys can be viewed from a boat, just like the elephants. We will come back for sure!
Beautiful park, beautiful animals, very clean. Beautiful playgrounds and the safari ride and the roller coaster were a great success. Boat trip a little less, little to see.
Friday 09-08-2020 went to Wildlands, it was very hot it was 30+ degrees, unfortunately you cannot decide to move the visit to a later date because tickets now have to be bought by date. What was very disappointing to us was the number of visitors and the total abandonment of the 1.5 meter rule. Visitors did not adhere to it at all, nor was it pointed out by staff. I strongly advise against a visit during Corona time.
Nice park unlike other zoos the animals run free in the spacious enclosures so that one can get close to it, a parking lot is about 3 minutes walk from the park the parking costs for a whole day 10 this is an average amount that you pay at a zoo
A nice experience. Beautiful park. You see that space and a habitat that is as natural as possible do the animals well
Nice zoo, with lots of different animals. It's especially designed for children. And also the shows are focussed for children. They have 3 rounds which you easily can do within 1 day. They also have a very big indoor playground. The tropical area is very nice especially with the butterfly garden.
Erg leuk dag gehad. Prachtige dierentuin.
Had a nice evening at Wildlands @ night. Many nice food stands, prices on the high side.
I have seen many (inter) national zoos, but I did not expect such a beautiful, spacious and animal-friendly park. What fine animals in large numbers. Even two different groups of elephants. They eat a bite out of their budget. This also explains the somewhat higher admission price that is worth every penny. A great experience that combines the best of other zoos.
We will definitely return here.
Very poorly maintained park, wheelchair unfriendly, dangerous for small children. During visits in August many attractions closed, received no form of compensation for this, while there is nothing on their website that is closed.
1x but never again, rather choose a different park.
Is not worth the money. Not much to see. Well nicely lit.
Perhaps the most beautiful zoo I have ever been to. (And I have seen quite a few in Europe.) But almost no restaurants are open, many animal enclosures are closed, many have been closed for maintenance or renovation and also attractions are closed or very limited open. All in all a bad experience. Very unfortunate, because the expectation was high.
Today went to the zoo with grandparents 82 and 81 years, read the reviews, that there were too few animals, but I thought that is not so bad, the first part with the butterflies and tropical greenhouse and the boats were really impressive, also how it was all built, and the vegetation, but where were the animals ???? With much hope for the polar bears nowhere to be seen, we did see the seals in the fake harbor, we had to walk a lot and that is for older people it is hard to do, now we thought we would go with the safari train after a long walk, we were also the arrival point at the departure point, I now thought that the old people no longer have to walk that far but then we still had to go a long way to the exit, a lot of eateries, but most people bring their own provisions, logical because everything costs a lot of money. The indoor playground which was very dark could be seen a few fish and large water turtles The penguins were fun, oh what did I have after visit a hey Imwee to the old animal park, where there were 4 times as many animals to see and also much more information boards and the feeding times, no I think they should take more account of older people, they really do not show themselves, there are enough benches , but let them ride a train from a to b, I see the future hard in now it is still new, but in a while the number of visitors will drop, Many compliments for the many volunteers and staff, they really do their best .No a zoo compared to the old one, it is certainly not, we will not be back here for the time being, pity. 2nd time Wildlands. Zoo and attractions combined is not the ideal concept. You walk a lot, but see relatively few animals. Also at Tweestryd at the entrance my daughter is 96 cm, at the attractions 94cm while she was 96 years long at the consultancy. She causes a lot of arguments and dissatisfied children.
Good clean / maintained and nice variety of experiences for youth from 4 to 14
Although a little less animals than in the past in the zoo, but quite nice set up. Truck and boat fun to do times
It is more of an amusement park than an animal park very unfortunate you go there for the animals and not for the playatributen then you go to an amusement park
Nice "zoo" much attention has been paid to the decoration of the park. The accommodation + animals looked very well cared for.
Very nice zoo, highly recommended.
Absolutely handicapped, beautifully designed and child-friendly. By the way, Emmen has a nice downtown.
Nice park good balance between attractions (very cool) and zoo. A successful combination. Does not seem nice to me when the waiting times are longer. In restaurant they can still be better trained. There is also a walking route where you walk back and forth alongside each other which is not convenient.
Nice park but not finished yet, the word zo is also a bit exaggerated so many animals are not .. The playing is great again and can be done everywhere. All in all entertained.
The fact that Wildlands suffered 8 million losses in 2018 is more than justified. The park is outrageously expensive in terms of entrance, parking and food & drinks. In winter there is almost no animal to be seen. This park tries to radiate something that it is not and demands equitable rates for it. This wannabe zoo probably does not exist anymore in a few years.
I think it's a nice zoo. Have heart for the animals. Not close together and in cages. Much more natural. And the 8-track. Still remains a thing. Nice that there are now descriptions of the animals.
Wonderful place for the kids to play! We went on Dec 31st and felt like we had the runnof the place!
Apart from the wasps, very nice, beautiful and interesting
Very nice zoo with separate animals, even small children can look at it occasionally you have to lift them
Lots of activities for children, pleasant locations.
A beautiful park that is only now starting to grow. Literally because from the start it was rather bare. Recently you can also walk around there which was not possible at first. Two times a long way, a long way back. We have a subscription with which you will receive an additional two months this year and a discount compared to the original entrance fee. Due to the financial deficits and imminent bankruptcy, the park is getting too much negative in the news. This may give people the idea that the park is not nice / interesting enough to visit but this is certainly not the case !!! There is a huge amount of climbing and climbing work for big and small and a mega beautiful climb and climbing in a playground! There is no end asn. Very beautiful! Dear people! Come all and judge for yourself! It is beautiful here and this certainly deserves a chance! A must for me!
Beautiful park 3.5 years open looks great especially the huge tropical greenhouse, great!
Aanrader.
Wildlands has become a mixture of largely an interactive zoo with a little bit of amusement park thrown in there. The park is clean, has enough accommodations and the animals looked healthy and active. Also, waiting lines weren't unreasonably long which is always nice. For me, it's a definite recommendation if you have grown a bit tired of traditional Zoo's.
I thought it was very small few animals and not worth the money
Clean, tidy park. Cheerful animals and beautifully landscaped enclosures. Natural idea. Enough food / drink kiosks with varied offerings. Highly recommended!
A beautiful spacious park .... where space for the animals is made .... also very nice that it is a smoke-free park and there are enough points where you can stand as a smoker .... a very different zoo concept. ... where the attractions might take a bit longer ....
Mooi dierenpark zonder kooien. Ruim opgezet.
Very nice zoo all clearly visible well marked really worth it
Nice aleen missed a lot of animals who collects old zoo and there was not
Beautiful, spacious for the animals and a paradise for children
No meat no fish, this park do not even know what a zoo is a park. In either case, it does not comply. The layout of the park is very tight and clumsy, I wonder what happens in an emergency, people can not move. Food, drink and souvenirs not lack for every 100m there is something for sale. Animals other hand we have hardly seen. This park is really a waste of your time and money.
Beautiful park spacious, food and toilet facilities well arranged
Beautiful park looks very nice also nice themes, it is different than what you are used to is not the traditional animal in cages look.
Nice zoo. Different from zoos. Often environment or other buildings to see ......
Cuter than I on the basis of 'stories' expected. You really have to discover it for yourself.
Nice zoo. Will be tackled completely again. Always come there with pleasure.
Read a lot of negative reviews, they do not find it right! Beautiful zoo with beautiful themes!
Nice zoo to go with your family. You see a lot of animals and the layout is very nice, you really go on an adventure! Polar bears were unfortunately not spotable when we were there, but that did not spoil the fun.
Super nice zoo. We were there at the end of September. No snakes or crowds. In the season / holiday certainly overcrowded. So you should in the low season or outside of the holidays visit the park.
Prices reasonable!
been fairly quickly to the opening of the park, was still very bald beautiful decoration of the park North Pole I found not great, butterfly garden and jungle beautiful. Little seen animals, parking very expensive and entrance was far too expensive when 30, - Was quickly bored. Had t feel I was back and forth over the same route t.
With 30 euro you can get a trip with a truck, a boat, a 4 D movie, dolphin show, and visit all the Zoo and see all kind of animals, birds, insects and plants. It's good that you don't have to wait too much on a line and it's very organised.
Has little more to do with a zoo.
It is clear that this complex has cost a lot of money.
Designers have been able to live a fantastic life.
Technically, this is very nicely laid out perhaps even over the top.
For children this is possibly very nice to walk around here.
To see animals you can better go to a real zoo.
A lot of food and drink is offered there
Nice decoration in this zoo!
Jungola is highly recommended. COVID-19 has brought the park down ...
Today I visited Wildlands for the first time. Due to earlier reports the expectations are not too high. I must say that I was particularly pleasantly surprised. The park was neat, well maintained (of course it is still new) and spacious. There was lots to see for our children and the mix between animal park and the coaster is a good choice that is extracted. The animals are beautiful spacious places and distances to be run are excellent and clear during the day. There is actually too much to see for just one day, but the rest will come another time. The staff are friendly and the prices in the hospitality industry quite reasonable. Parking for 10 - is perhaps somewhat on the high side but some day not too shocking given the central location of the park. Visitors to Emmen can also park here and you spend ten per hour in Amsterdam. All in all highly recommended and a great reason to visit Drenthe.
