This zoo is a big change how we now experience a visit in a zoo where the animals now almost in first place number 1 remains of course the safety between humans and animals. Definitely worth a visit

A nice zoo There are 3 areas in the zoo, arctic, jungle and safari. Each area has a single route. It felt a bit linear and down to me.
Nice for once but wait for an offer for the tickets because it is not worth the full price

I liked the old park the baboons have a nice stay in this park the polar bears we have not seen and the lions also fail to see the butterfly garden has not improved.

Nice zoo, but smaller than the old zoo. A must if you want a little out with the little one, very child friendly! We were not looked after after half a day, but we were not very young.

Nicely laid out. Especially the jungle is very beautiful. Enough places to sit for a while. Plenty of parking, costs ten euros. There is a free parking space within a ten minute walk. The intimacy of the previous park is missing here. Less clear.

Disjointed attraction concept of "learning to provide the culture" and "mindless entertainment for the masses."

That's why you'd better spend your money on Ghost Recon: Wildlands since at least Ubisoft isn't trying to stay relevant with a half-ass effort at education.

Great landscaped park. Young children in particular can climb and clamber everywhere. The park is still fairly new. And still needs some form and growth. The animals are all in beautiful enclosures. Where real animal welfare has been put on. Worth to go once.

A beautiful park in the center of Emmen. From the outside you don't expect it to be that big. Fortunately the animals have all the freedom to go around. The price is still quite substantial, but if you are in the area, it is worthwhile to stay a few hours.

This park is just nothing, it is not a zoo, due to a lack of diversity of animals, but it is not an amusement park either. A ticket for adults will cost 30.00 and there will be 10.00 parking costs over and then you have not bought anything in the park, I go for that money to a real zoo (Nordhorn) or amusement park and then I also take a consumption there.

A few months ago with my girlfriend visited this location. We had the idea in advance that we were going to visit a classical zoo, but nothing was less true. The park is divided into three parts, call it water, desert and jungle. Attention was paid to every detail. There are lots of nice animals to see who have a lot of space and the natural environment is good after being shot, fun attractions (including 4d experience, safari and boating with a boat) and attention has been paid to literally every detail. With these details, think of a shunting truck at the entrance, an old subway laid out in the safari and even the bins have been worked away in the style of the environment. My girlfriend and I are pleasantly surprised by the nice day we have experienced here.

Conclusion; I can give nothing but five stars for this. An absolute must for young and old.

Very nice zoo. Decorated very thematically and really a different experience than the 'standard' zoo where every animal is in their pen.

Great big large zoo! Was very quiet on a Friday in fall vacation, this zoo deserves more visitors.

Beautiful park, lots of space for animals and very beautiful design. The tour and the boat trip are a wonderful addition.

I've been here when it was pretty hot, the park keeps that in mind. You will not get bored quickly in the park and there is a nice change between attractions and animals.

After deliberately not having been to the zoo in Emmen for a long time, today I visited Wildlands. Not consciously gone in recent years because I think it is nicer that a park with everything new has beautiful green plants and trees. Generation after generation my family comes to the old animal park of Emmen. Now I know for sure, I will never forget the beautiful memories of the old park, but this new park has exceeded all my expectations. In 1 word fantastic! What a great park to allow new generations to make new memories. I enjoyed everything. I fully understand the choice for a totally new concept, we have a great place for the North of the country. Cherish the memories of the "old" animal park, be proud of our new Wildlands because it is more than worth it. Incidentally, I found the entrance price at a great level, you can expect this oris for such a nice park. Thank you Wildlands, I would love to come back!

Wij hebben een geweldige dag gehad!
Wat een supermooie dierentuin. De aankleding is fantastisch, het geeft een natuurlijk gevoel (geen hokken) waardoor je hele mooie foto's van de dieren kunt maken.
Het personeel was ook heel vriendelijk, allemaal! Het eten was ook erg goed, een wok menu, een hele maaltijd.
Enig munpuntje: afstand is moelijk te houden ivm corona.

A very nice park. Nevertheless, I only give 3 stars because the entry and food prices are much too high. You don't really get to see a lot of animals there. The park gives me the 4 star because I think the enclosures for the animals are very large. In itself, the park is very well maintained and definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful zoo, spacious, but I still miss the old emmen

Parking too far from entrance, park itself is not nearly as beautiful as an old zoo. This has nothing to do with zoo

Few animals ??? I thought that was not so bad. Well, you sometimes have to search and the number of species may be less than in a zoo where they sit next to each other in 5x5 meter cages, but there were plenty of animals. Nice in their "natural" environment. And that environment is really beautifully made. Just like being on safari.
The problem is that it gets very busy quickly, and you do not want or cannot take enough time to 'search' the animals. Another problem that contributes to this is that there are indeed no signs with what kind of animals should be somewhere and where you can best see them.
But I think the whole zoo is worth it, as if you are on safari, and there you have no guarantee that you will see all the animals.

Tip: come as early as possible, then it is a bit quieter.

Also doable in corona time, mandatory walking directions provided enough space to keep a meter and a half away. Park beautiful! Set up wide, enough for the kids to experience!

Super nice park, all details have been taken into account.

The zoo is nicely divided into 3 themes. You can also go with a boat and safari truck to view the animals up close. You can even get in with the wheelchair here. It is clearly indicated where you can and cannot go with a wheelchair.

It is nice set up, but it is more of a theme park idea. The old zoo was more fun and compact.

Live show was over before it became exciting. A pity. Expected more on the ground or very high in the sky. Verders it was a nice evening atraktie.

Beautifully landscaped park, lots of adventure, but I also come for the animals, and you see too little.

It is a very nice park! It is also very nice that you can pet some animals and that you can get closer to the animals by bus or a boat!

New zoo ... better for the animals. Lots to see ... not to do!

It is no longer a real zoo but more an experience park. The park has also become very expensive and that may explain why there were not many people during our visit during the autumn holidays. For an average family (m, f 2k) the entrance is 113, and with a drink, fries and ice cream you will soon be at 150, and that is not worth the park given the opening hours from 10 am to 5 pm.

The pricing forces towards a subscription but then you have to be able to come 3x in a year to get a real benefit and the park does not really offer that much repetition value unless you live around the corner and therefore do not have an hour + travel time.

In other words: nice, but way too expensive.

The park has been very much redecorated since the last time I've been there. It is spacious but not boring with many (covered) resting points. It also offers many options for small children and their parents.
We did not use the restorative facilities, I cannot judge that.
There are some volunteers walking around the park, we probably looked unreliable, as they constantly felt the need for all the satellites to hang around us. That got annoying.

Great park very large lots of space for the animals really enjoyed

We were positively surprised by the zoo! Most enclosures were large, animal friendly, and well themed. The park was clean and fairly priced. Restaurants and food quality needs improvement though.

Too few animals, that was a bit disappointing. For example, saw 1 lion. In other places you saw no animals at all, it is still a diet garden!

Very nice zoo with nice accommodations. It was just a shame that there were no lions in the lion enclosure. I also thought it was a shame that there weren't many animal species. You will find this in the other zoos, but there you will miss the extras that make Wildlands special again.

Was disappointing unfortunately. A nice entrance and especially the front part well dressed. As you walk further into the park it does not feed off. It was smaller than expected and way too busy. Corona measures very minimal.

Don't be tempted by the attractions .. it's just a zoo !!

It looks beautiful. However, it doesn't inspire. The surprise element is not there. Discovering a zoo is for me.

Very nice park to have a look, not extremely many animals but nice themes throughout the park! It is mainly aimed at younger children up to the age of 12, as there are many play areas spread throughout the park. Fun things to do in a park, such as a rollercoaster, a safari and boat trip!

A whole day of entertainment for young and old. Beautiful animal park!

Maybe not the traditional zoo as you expect it. Animals are sometimes a little further away or not immediately visible. But what a beautiful park and what a beautiful experience. You sometimes feel like you are in the jungle or on the savannah. We have taken out a subscription immediately.

New kind of zoo where you can walk among apes, birds and other kind of animals. Much fun for little children, for adults I would recommend different zoos (especially because of the high entrance fee).

Prima Experience Park where children and adults can fully enjoy a day

Wat een afgang. De reclame is leuk maar er is in werkelijkheid niet veel te doen en te zien.
Weinig verschillende dieren en wat zij een attractie noemen is vaak een miezerig paadje of doolhofje. Zonde van je geld. Alleen het nortica gebied was redelijk. De 4d daar was wel leuk en de zeeleeuwen show ook. Er waren ook nog 2 bedrijven die hier een bedrijfsuitje hadden met hun personeel. Veel te veel mensen.
Nooit meer. Wellicht voor kleinere kinderen nog wel leuk want het er zijn wel veel speeltoestellen. Wij hebben veel betere en mooiere dierentuinen gezien.

Had a very nice day in Wildlands Emmen, it is really very different from other zoos, nicely spacious and the animals have a lot of space in their stay. A lot to do for the whole family, not cheap but what is that nowadays. We will definitely be back for a fun day out

Zondag er geweest met ons gezin .
Wij hebben alleen de eerste looproute gedaan. Het was veel te druk. Wachtrij vrachtwagen 1,5 uur.
We hebben de zebra's en de giraffe kunnen zien leeuwen niet. Geiten leuk verblijf maar die hebben we hier ook wel op de kinderboerderij. Ijsbeer gezien .
Wel een mooie binnen speeltuin is echt super mooi. Daar vond onze dochter van 12 ook prachtig. Achtbaan wachtrij uur. Door gelopen. Te druk terug de hele route gedaan met blijde kinderen op naar de bootjes route 2 jeah de olifanten wachtrij een uur 1,5. Niet meer geweest. Erger jammer kwamen voor de olifanten. Ik snap het is druk en de corona regels enz. Maar het is niet aangenaam met deze drukte. Ik zou er pas weer heen gaan als je niet helemaal terug hoeft te lopen. Succes wildlands overigens het ziet er wel mooi uit.
Wij komen na de corona misschien nog een x voor de olifanten ....

Very nice, super cute sea lion show. Great that the penguins, priariehondjes and monkeys also from their stay and can walk among the people. Food is not expensive.

Wildlands is een hele afwisselende en avontuurlijke dierentuin ! Er is zoveel werk gemaakt van de sfeer: een safari en ontdekkers setting met tempels en hangars, met echte oude treinen, jeeps, vliegtuigen Er zijn decoratieve werkkamertjes van onderzoekers. En zoveel leuke speeltuinen, plekjes waar je iets kunt knutselen of muziek kunt maken, spannende paadjes die je kunt volgen maar ook rolstoelvriendelijke paden.
En er zijn natuurlijk de fantastische dieren die o.h.a. zeer veel ruimte hebben om zich te bewegen en een, zover dat mogelijk is in een dierentuin, natuurlijk leven kunnen leiden. Wat echter wel ons hart brak is dat de zeeschildpadden een superklein aquarium hadden en de naakte molratjes die in plastic buizen moeten leven waar ze geen grip op hebben met hun pootjes verder niks dan lof voor de ruime en gevarieerde verblijven.
Verder zijn er nog een paar, sommige wel heel tam...bootjes...tot zeer ruige rides (racer achtbaan) vriendelijke en behulpzaam personeel en leerzame presentaties, winkeltjes en vooral ook veel en afwisselend aanbod in horeca.
Deze dierentuin verdient veel meer bezoekers dan ze nu krijgt

Mostly full, but nice offers and things you can look at. Also suitable for smaller children.
