Beautiful zoo, spacious accommodations. Dinobos is great
Nice park where, in addition to watching the animals, there are plenty of other activities for small children. We will definitely come again!
Nice place. Fine Park, lots of peace, space and nice spacious stays. Occasionally dead-end paths, but that is also funny again. Cleaning of the toilets could be more frequent (or with better cleaning products). Very friendly staff.
Great zoo.
Not too big so also great for a morning with grandchildren.
Nice furnished just not able to see very many animals
One of the most beautiful animal parks in the Netherlands.
This year Amersfoort Zoo is 70 years old and to celebrate that, a new attraction has been opened with the prairie dogs. Immediately after the entrance on the left this is really great.
Guidance may be free of charge in real life. Super hospitable!
Very nice, just a pity that the elderly have just been abolished
Very nice and friendly zoo. We were positively surprised on what was arranged for our children (2,6,8).
Hele leuke dierentuin voor de kids! Lekker klimmen klauteren en glijen rond en bij de dieren.
Great zoo, lovingly created, with a great circuit. The animal enclosures are large and nicely laid out. It's worth a visit!
Nice to walk through. Few special animals, and many accommodations are no longer of this time. The paths are well maintained while some country houses are not. Luckily we had discount coupons otherwise we would have found the entrance ticket too expensive.
Great when it is quiet. Nice park. You can make it as active as you want.
The dino forest is really nice. My children have had a lot of fun here and would like to come back again.
Greetings from the hedge
It is a very beautiful park. Just a pity that the paths there end so badly ... not all paths are suitable for a wheelchair ..
What was great is that there is room to take a break. This allowed me to enjoy the park a little more and longer
Nice 'secret' passageways and routes for children that lead to a slide and many beautiful animals that can be seen!
The zoo is small but there are nice atrations and friendly staff
Spacious animal park. Here you can easily spend a day. Of course many animals, but also includes some spacious playgrounds, a large dino forest, petting zoo, train, .. and regularly new attractions.
Was a nice day just a pity that not everything was accessible
If necessary, everything is accessible again
Been yesterday. Many wasps but only in the hospitality industry. Rest of the garden had no problems. Nice variety of animals, many in their natural environment. For the children climbing and climbing course with some animals. The Night unique experience, sloth from very close. My favorite animal park.
Nice compact zoo in beautiful green surroundings. Great for a day out with extras such as pedal boats and a train.
Nice zoo, also for children due to the many play options. New things continue to be added every year.
Super fun and beautiful zoo. For both young and old!
Beautiful animal park. Many different animals interspersed with nice play areas for children. Also enough possibilities to change your child.
We look back on a nice day!
Super nice and beautiful zoo with lots of animals and super nice birds with beautiful colors and they eat so out of your hand and good clean really worth to go once
It was already ten years since I last visited this place. This year bought a subscription to visit more often and get to know the zoo well. There are still some renovations going on, and I am curious how this will turn out. Looked at the lions today. They not only got meat but also ice cream. A beautiful sight. Incidentally, also a nice stay, in the middle of the lion enclosure is a (dark) slide for the children. Around large glass walls to view the lions up close.
Definitely a nice zoo to visit. As far as I am concerned, it is not the most beautiful zoo in the Netherlands, but it is a well cared for. The park is nice and clear, just follow the indicated route and you won't miss anything.
When we were there a part was closed due to a renovation and an event, so unfortunately we could not see everything, but where we could go, we could see the animals well. What is unfortunate is that there is little extra information available from the animals about, for example, the habitat or other information.
The park is easily accessible and parking is right outside the door ( 8 per day). A map costs 0.50 extra, but if you download the free app, you also have the map plus location and you also save the environment a bit
Great variation in animals beautiful clean environment and instructive for children
Nice park, but not the most beautiful in the Netherlands. Also not really impressed in terms of animals.
Very nice and pleasant animal park. Definitely fun for small children because of the playgrounds. The dinopark is also recommended!
A very nice animal park. Especially for children. They can climb and clamber a lot. .
Nice, woody place where children can play. There are many different animals. Several units have a climbing route. Because of the many trees it is also good on hot days.
Nice zoo. Spacious and not too big. Nice playground for the not yet played and finished children. With merry-go-round! (Although you have to buy a coin for that, just like the train)
Today was what was fun .top animal park. Cozy with my daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter had a wonderful day
A lot of nice animals. i liked that there are multiple locations were the animal keepers are giving some information about the animals while feeding them. Really cool.
What's not to love about the Amersfoort zoo? It's one of the best in the Netherlands, as far as I know, with a lion's den, a tiger den, a bear den, a dinosaur park and lots of new ways to entertain the children. Certainly worth a visit, even on a rainy day,
Very nice park, lots of entertainment for everyone,
Unfortunately, there were a lot of places in the park closed to get something to drink or eat, probably because it is not a high season in January.
Great opportunity for a day out. It is a pity that you have to pay extra for the train and merry-go-round
I love this place because you can enjoy the scenery as well as meet the animals up close.
nice zoo for young and old and normally prizes for the parking by car are not like the Efteling pffff usury prices especially if you come by car. Zoo Amersfoort certainly do for the average Dutchman.
I have been to many zoos and this is by far the best one. How the parc designed is very well thought and animals are in great condition. Super good !!
A zoo especially for small children. Many play / discover possibilities. We, 2 adults found the entrance too expensive. We were outside again after about 3 hours and had seen the whole zoo.
May and here also for a somewhat older audience than just children. Furthermore, one of the nicest zoos!
Beautiful park, with the route you see all animals.
also have plenty of things to do outside just watch animals
Had a fantastic day, also good to do with small children
I go to zoos all over the world and can say that Zoo Amesfoort is doing very well! The animals are well cared for. Most stays were fun and nicely set up for the animals. A bit outdated here and there. Some stays could be better. Friendly staff who would like to tell information about the animals. is definitely in my top 10! You can get very close to the animals
See you again!
Park is schoon maar gedateerd. Vooral bij de flamingo's was erg stankoverlast. Medewerkers erg vriendelijk.
This is a very kids-friendly place. We take our two kids here almost every weekend.
At De Boerderij" they serve good pancakes, bot for adults and for kids, as well as a large variety of other lunch foods.
The zoo itself is constantly evolving, improving, and adding more attractions.
I was with partner on 30 April in the zoo. I was there about 15 years ago. It disappointed me today. Few animals .1 Tiger in you are then some white tigers. Hobby horses the population had fallen considerably. At half past nine we passed monkeys that were not yet in their cages. Lots of cages empty. Or there was almost nothing in it .. it is a nice park for children and dogs are welcome too!
There is fun animal park with nice clear stays for the animals. There is also a lot to do for children.
Has lot of snack stops which foodies like me will like, and kids definitely like the zoo. Lot of play area for kids too. It's a place where you can hang about for 4 - 6 hours.
I've been coming here since childhood. Now still fun. Top animal park !!!!
A very varied park and very nice for children. They are really kept busy here.
A beautiful animal park, which is fairly "natural" for the animals. The new lion enclosure is beautiful, only the center of that lion enclosure is very, very difficult to find. Badly marked routes, especially the "Miss Nothing" route is very difficult to follow, where the map really does not help. The park is also not friendly for wheelchairs and people with walking difficulties. That is unfortunate and in some cases very bad.
For children against this it is a great adventure, with climbing on rocks, slides with the animals. Playground equipment here and there gives the park a playful character.
Staff who are located at various points, such as snacks, ice cream and soft drinks, make an uninterested impression and never know where to tell. That is also a pity and a missed opportunity. The most uninterested comment was, "Yes, then you have to look, don't I know, I am here for the shop not for the animals, just look at the map" (which is of no use to you).
The first trains, which was driven in the morning by a cheerful young lady, who had a lot of interaction with the mostly small children, she did it very much. The person who succeeded her "a young man" apparently was not so keen on it, couldn't laugh, didn't interact with the children and came across as very clean. It did because he "had to" do it. Furthermore, my son had a great day, and it was and is what it is all about.
Highly recommended for families with children aged 7 to 12 years approximately. Less fun for the physically handicapped, wheelchair users, the elderly (65+) and people with walking difficulties.
Restaurant really outrageously expensive
I was approached in a ridiculous way by staff because I was not standing on the yellow smoking tile, unkind too
Lovely animal park, small-scale set-up, so you can see everything in one day.
Children have been well thought of, lots of variety and creative discovery spots along the paths.
The information boards look nice, the text is understandable for children.
Lots of places with refreshments, so you don't have to queue for hours. Fairly affordable too.
Plenty of parking, close to the park. So you don't have to walk half a day to get to the park, say, or to be transported by bus.
Even if you don't have children, this park is fun. I want to buy a subscription, just to walk through this beautiful park regularly. By bike through the wooded area, to the park. I live 15 kilometers from it. Good to do.
A great place where your can see your kid(s) having fun and to get some good time yourself as well. If you have kids above 3,5 y.o. and you live near the city of Amersfoort I highly recommend a subscription here.
Frankly a bit disappointing in terms of animals, the various playgrounds in between are nice.
