I DID NOT BUY FROM THEM and glad I didn't. They custom designed a system for saying this would cover 100% of my PG&E electrical bill. What they didn't tell me is they don't know how to properly size for PG&E customers. What they don't know or tell me is that PG&E buys excess solar electricity in the day for $0.52 kWhr and then in the evening I can buy that same kWhr back in the day for $0.12 when demand is lower and PG&E lowers the rate. I did install solar from a different company and only had to buy half as many panels as this company told me I needed. Even with a system half the size they told me I needed I'm still over producing in the winter. Remember if your system is over-sized all of that electricity your system over produces is given to the power company for free. If I would have purchased the system they recommended not only would I have spent nearly $8,000 too much on solar panels I would be giving close to $3, 000 of electricity to the power company for free.
I was looking for a Solar Photovoltaic company for my home. A main criteria was that the company be reputable and have a long track record. A warranty is no good if the company isn't around anymore. I was happy with Diablo Solar Services when they put in my Solar Pool System 30 years ago, so we sought them out. They are professional, and are looking out for their customers. Unexpectedly a few of the American made solar panels they used failed, but Diablo Solar stood by the customer and obtained new panels to replace them under the 25 year warranty. I can't say enough about the company and their employees, especially their service manager Bryan Patterson. I'd definitely go with Diablo Solar for my system.
Their employee showed up late, stayed less than 30 minutes, and left without resolving anything! I had to follow-up and found out needed service was delayed 2 more weeks! In the interim there was no response to my phone calls, and then I was charged for 1 hour service visit! Unbelievably bad service!!
