Worst customer service and have lost my package I have a slip saying it couldn't be dropped off because I have to pay yet I've been trying to pay but they say the package doesn't exist? Then what am I paying for and what do your driver try to drop off? Your whole system is backwards and it's annoying to deal with and have to pay so much on stupid taxes get it together and find my package before I go and find your driver who can't write English!!! Figure it out or fire him not that hard!

Awful lack of service and terrible business hours.

I can t believe DHL is still in business with their terrible service. They can t seem to be able to deliver a package. Someone was at home all day but they still couldn t manage to deliver the package. I then spent two hours on the phone and rescheduled the delivery only to have them leave a cryptic voicemail message again that they won t deliver the package and I need to pick it up.

DHL requires me to drive to Brampton to pick up a package that should have been delivered to midtown Toronto. But guess what they aren t open on Saturdays or Sundays!

DHL is a delivery company that refuses to deliver!

Why are the employees always so miserable here? Why is DHL one of the only shipping company s that don t waive custom fees? We shall never know. Just make sure you do no use them for out of the country shipping.

Does not warn you if a warehouse is third party and will take two days longer to get there.
Held my package for two days after it's been through customs before they sent me a customs fee.
Paid customs fee and package 10 minutes after I get the text, still doesn't move for another day because it takes them 24 hours before to process I've paid.
Had to call several times getting different answers everytime. DHL works in 24 hour blocks, the most I've ever paid for shipping and slowest and most frustrating. If I'd known they were going to use DHL instead of their listed service, I would have asked them to use something else.

Shipped an international package to Canada. Prepaid duty and brokerage fees online.

DHL uses a third party, Loomis, to deliver the package within the Province. DHL has no system in place to relay to the 3rd party that the duty and brokerage fees have been paid. So, the 3rd party holds the package (which had been shipped via priority/expedited shipping ($$)) until they receive word that said fees have been paid, either through customer inquiry with DHL or the 3rd party's own notice to the customer that fees are due. Upon customer inquiry, DHL then notifies the third party manually.

In short, there is no way for your package to be delivered in the timeframe listed. Nor could it be delivered at all, without having the receiving party discover it is being held in limbo pending a payment that had already occurred.

Something seems inherently broken within DHL's expedited international shipping methodology.

Courier didn't have the patience to wait for me to open the door. Only stayed for 3 minutes then left with my package. Now I have to wait even longer to get my parcel because their courier refused to wait for a couple of minutes.

Workers are unionized and can basically do whatever they want and get away with it. Most drivers are self-employed on contract, unionized, and belong strictly to brown population. They don't deliver packages and they don't care - they are unionized. Employees stole all hand-sanitizers during corona onset, and in the places with soap where they were supposed to wash their hands, people were washing their feet. I am concerned for the health of some people who come to do their jobs honestly. This organization is racist, biased and unsanitary at it's very best.

I am really impressed by the DHL customer service ...

I am really impressed by the DHL customer service team. Eventhough my package did not arrive in time for my liking (Diwali package)the customer service at DHL was really nice. I would like to mention Shaina (Toll free support), Jill Bitter ( Team Leader) and the person who hand delivered the package to me in the Brampton warehouse. Thank you again for your effort in getting me my Package sooner than the expected delivery.

I only wish there was a 'no stars' option as I strongly feel that 'one star' is giving DHL too much credit. After receiving a 'we missed you' notice on my door yesterday for a package I was waiting on, I decided to follow the suggested directions to 'expedite my delivery' and pre-pay for duty/taxes. Being extra cautious, thinking at some point in the day I may need to run an errand and could potentially miss the delivery, I decided to register for no signature needed. I've done this with other delivery companies in the past and had no issues so I didn't think I needed to worry. However, this was not the case this time around. While waiting patiently (ALL DAY) for my package, I decided to check online to see if the package was indeed being delivered today, only to find out that it had illegedly been delivered hours earlier. I was home the entire day and there was no way this delivery happened. I tried contacting DHL over the phone only to reach unhelpful, unsympathetic staff that couldn't put me in contact with any form of management or guarantee I could speak with anyone with authority today. After already taking a day off work to wait for a package, I am now not only without my package (god knows what the incompetent courier did with it), I am out the money I paid for my package, the delivery fees, and all of the taxes/duty I prepaid. I sincerely hope someone gets back to me soon so this can be sorted and whoever is responsible is held accountable.

Never go with DHL express shipping option. Not only will you pay extra for the expedited shipping but they will collect a ludicrous amount of money in random fees. Their fee was 200% of the actual customs fee, resulting in a 75% surcharge on the item I originally purchased. Secondly, I have received 4 emails, a voicemail, and 6 text messages from them in the last 48 hours, all about the status of my package, none of which require my attention. I don't want anyone ever to contact me that frequently, let alone a shipping company!

Staff don't care about customers. This is apparent from their complete lack of concern for expected delivery dates and times. I've heard "it will be delivered to you tomorrow" 4 times now. The first delay was due to there being duties owing that no one ever contacted me about. I had to call and find this out. Then it went down hill from there. This location feels like it's run by a bunch of kids.

Family from Taiwan are sending mask to us in Canada. For tiny box of 30 mask, it costed $100 shipping fees. Their broker charged $50 on the top of that to pass customs!! It is unacceptable to take advantage of people in such a critical time. Obviously, somebody there want those masks. This is the first we use their service and the last time.

Like others have mentioned, terrible service with fake attempts to deliver. They keep setting the tracking status (at the same time of day, day after day) saying that they need address info updated. I even called to confirm my address and a delivery attempt was never made, again. I didn't even pick this shipper, it was the online store I purchased from who used them.

Package was a day early. But I was not provided with the option to have it delivered without a signature. As such, they wouldn't leave the stupid thing at my doorstep, nor did they even knock on a door (do you assume all doorbells work?)
Someone was home, and he did not hear anybody knocking. I paid extra for express shipping and am still waiting. The notice indicated they would return the next day. Nobody came. Nor did they come back the day after.
Having no one there on the weekend to allow for a personal pick up or easily arrange a pick up does not help matters. I paid express shipping for nothing.

The worst shipping company I have ever dealt with. Staff is poorly trained, and there is zero communication with them unless you call and harass them yourself. I paid for expedited shipping, only to have to go to the warehouse myself. Any retailer dealing with DHL in the future, I will not be purchasing from them.

I have blocked about 100 phone numbers and the scam calls keep coming. Call the head office and they say nothing they can do. Well these scam calls are making your company look even worse.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This company has a bunch of retards working the phone lines! This is the 3rd time they said my delivery will be late or may not come! I had called the night before to inform them that my office will close at 6pm and they told me it can come at 8pm if its a residential or 7:30pm if its a business. Obviously they were too lazy to check on there end that it is a business! I spoke to a women who was speaking french to me and I asked if she speaks English and she did. I told her my situation and she really didn't care and was annoyed by my complaint. And to top it all off she was trying to talk over me, when I was blaming this company on how they lack communication and how I am disgusted by their customer service. SHIPPERS BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. FOR I HAD GIVEN THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT ONE TOO MANY TIMES! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HEADACHES! GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY THAT IS MORE RELIABLE THAN DHL!

I am very displeased with my delivery process yest...

I am very displeased with my delivery process yesterday, Monday, September 14th, 2015.
I would like to speak to or have an email for senior management for Canada. I paid yesterday morning for my customs and duty and then followed up that transaction with a call to DHL to ensure the process was completed properly and that the driver would be notified that I would like the package left at the door should I need to step out briefly. The agent then in return said yes and assured me the package would be left at the door and he also added that the driver will not be in my area until 3:30 so I will be fine (this call was at 2:29pm) The driver attempted delivery at 2:52pm). Upon my return I noticed the note left on the door and that the driver clearly was not updated I paid as it said customs and duty on the notice
I then called DHL at 5:05/06/07pm and was told the driver was not back in as yet and when I asked why was the package not left I was told the my information was not updated in time so he was not aware. I was told they will send an internal message to dispatch to contact the driver to see if he can return due to the mix up and I would of been updated via phone in less than half hour. No one ever called back. I then called back at 5:41pm to find out what was going on, and verify if they received an update from the driver on my package and was he going to return and drop it off . The agent apologized for the fact that no one got back to me said they would send yet another message to the driver to have him come back out to deliver the package and they will give me a call once he responds. At 6;51pm still no call back and no one can say where the driver is and again apologized that I had to call yet again and at this time I decided I needed to speak to a supervisor and stay on the line to find out what exactly is going on. Somehow I was left on hold for 20 mins I decided to call again on the other line at 8:17pm and then got through to another agent who connected me to the supervisor Said. where after much back and forth at the 8:21pm he finally stated the driver never answered but simply returned the package to the warehouse and after some yelling and raising my voice he finally agreed to let me come and collect the package as the driver had refused to respond after 3 hours of attempting to reach him due to someone not updating him as I was promised would be the case. I then had less than 30 minutes to get to the DHL service centre which means after spending my whole day waiting for my package and then offering to go collect it when I returned home I now had to go collect my package after hours via cab because there was no transportation available at the time I finally got an update on my package. Therefore I not only paid my duty online to avoid all of the above but I then had to pay $35 each way $70 in total too and back to back so I can receive my package the day I was told I would receive it. Then when I got there (Said told me to go to the Employee entrance and the lady there knew nothing about my package and refused to help saying they are closed and walked away. Way is ti that no one seems to be communicating to each other and at my expense. I have lots of future business and larger volumes coming in within the coming months however right now I am so disgusted at how I was treated yesterday and not happy with the fact that I had to pay an additional $70 in cab fare simply to receive my package. UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Used the service several times. When it is working - it is just working. I see nothing outstanding. However recent experience is not something that should be tolerated. Here's the story: bought an item online and picked DHL for delivery. On the day of delivery I happened to be at home. Received notification that the item would be delivered by EOD. While I was working in garage I noticed DHL truck stopped across the street from my house. The driver went to the cargo area, spent some time there, the checked couple other places in the truck and without making attempt to come to my house or my neighbors' one simply left. I assumed that that was not my delivery. But to my surprise an hour later I received email from DHL that my parcel was delivered! Exactly at the time when the truck was at my house. Next morning I called DHL customer support, described the situation and the driver and was promised that they would look into this. In a couple of days I indeed found the parcel on my porch. But no "we are sorry" or anything of that kind.
So if your parcel is missing and the delivery company claims it was delivered and it is some sort of ill-minded person took it then it is not necessary the case as my experience shows.

I want to give a ZERO but won't let me! Have delivery from UK, was supposed to ship a week prior to leaving on a trip (which I wanted this for)... Friday, arrived at sorting center (shipment put on hold) - called Monday asking why, needed address confirmation (which I already gave) so I gave again. Tuesday, shipment on hold again until I questioned and then advised will ship same day (Tuesday - nothing so called and confirmed for Wednesday shipment advising this was a business address). Wednesday, they claimed "refused by customer" - I was at the address all day, WITH a shipper & receptionist all expecting this delivery! BUNCH OF LIARS, nobody "tried" to delivery anything! It's now Thursday, I called again... customer service was zero help. I wasted too much time already just trying to get a box delivered, I asked for the address of pick-up and getting it myself next week... since I am leaving the country this afternoon (as they knew)! Save yourself a headache and go with ANY other shipping company.

My experience with DHL was not pleasant. I had been waiting at my basement, no package arrived but I still received a note saying they "missed me"
The time given for me to wait was between 13:00 and 21:00. I checked the door 13:15 to make sure I had not missed then. At 17:00 I proceeded to check again as it was getting late. There was a note stating "Sorry we missed you" They gave a date no time they had arrived. My text said 15:47 DHL service was here. But no knock? or Doorbell?
This kind of delivery I had expected from other companies but not DHL. There have been numerous times this has happened with DHL and still I have hope. I would like to think DHL will be resolving this issue with their staff. For now this is my complaint.
Unfortunately , with the little time that I have in my day, I will have to make an attempt to go and retrieve my package. This is unfortunate because it is hard for me to make time throughout to the week as I am a working woman.
I will be following up with the customer service number and leaving my concerns with a manager in hopes something can be done about this.
Hoping DHL does not continue on this path.

5 days. In Delhi no one picks up phone. In Toronto they say I don't know ask Delhi Office. This is worst of all other services. Never depend on them. They cheat. It is my second experience with them.
