Very frustrating experience with delivery. Requested twice to deliver package without signature but kept getting missed delivery notifications. Am now picking package up as I have zero faith in receiving my package otherwise.

Worst experience ever, they took no responsibility for their mistakes, rude, drivers that lie about trying to make delivery did not ring door bell, did not knock, home all day garage door open left slip on door. Then today left way slip and money on the door from 7am and 5pm no parcel again even when they said it would be here Monday. Called they say the notes say driver here at 8:45am funny no new slip on the door, no parcel and old slip and money still attached to door. Worst shipping company ever they charges a $15 service fee for clearing customs, they charge GST Rate of 99.00 tries to charge HST on kids clothes and they charged 18% duty absolute rip off buyer beware NEVER USE THEM OR LOOMIS they are owned by DHL and are no better in there service. they are criminals in courier services

DHL as a company and their policy are super shady so next time you go with DHL always remember that anything that you order, they will charging a big handling fee on that even though Fedex, or canada post doesnt apply such fees or in my case have never experience that. Their drivers are horrible and I will agree with the rest of the 1 star reviews. i was expecting a package today which I needed ASAP, I saw the van pull up, i expected them to knock on the door or press the door bell but instead, they delivered the mails, but didn't leave my package, claiming no one was home when I was clearly there and came out as the driver was getting back in his car, and watched him drive off, mind you he fully saw me and got back in his car and drove off. aside from all of that, the reason i gave them a 3 stars is because of how Michael handled the situation.He went out of his way to do everything he could to try and get the package today but that didn't happen but nonetheless he went out of his way to see if I could go to the warehouse and pick it my self etc. Thanks Michale for your great customer service!

I use them for my small business to ship Next Day parcels to the USA and abroad and never had any issue with DHL. They are a great company for small businesses and offer rates that can beat any other courier for international shipping. Tracking is always in real time, best in the industry from my experience. Do not really use them to receive parcels, but anybody looking to ship parcels with them, I recommend DHL Express.

Very frustrating experience. Sent a package to Germany in May and it still hasnt arrived it is now August! I have talked to 5 different people in their customer service department and nobody knows what they are doing.

Do not ship with them unless you absolutely have to, because you will just get frustrated and lose money.

AWFUL! Their customer service department seems completely disjointed from their billing department. I paid for my order before I received it (albeit through a glitchy payment system) and they are still hounding me for payment, even after I proved payment and got a confirmation that the issue had been resolved!

That being said, the customer service representative interactions were pleasant. They seriously need to improve their operations systems though...

I didn't even order from this carrier (was supposed to ship through Canada post) and was unpleasantly surprised with a horrible surcharge on my statement a day later, equivalent to the cost of my package. I'm going to make a case on getting a refund for that. Never again.

Horrid experience. Charged me a brokerage fee for an item which is not taxable, and then refused to refund the fee. To top it off, they delivered the item to a communal mailroom/open lobby in my apartment building despite the item requiring a signature sign-off for delivery. I did not sign a signature waiver. Stay far away from these people.

Purchased some key chains from India. Seller thought doing me a favor using DHL Express. Custom fee was about 5 times the value of the cost of them itself. Wanted to reject but delivered without signature to mom. Mom paid they trying to say payment outstanding and charge me double. Informed seller not to use terrible carrier and I will not purchase again from a seller who uses DHL Express. Not worth the money for small item. If you DHL offered as shipper on product run.

Less than one star if possible! On 31st July I Called customer care regarding Request to pick up My shipment and was told that i can pick it up from brampton as shipment was ready for pickup. When i reached brampton office i was told that shipment had not reached there and was still in hamilton. Then i requested to get it delivered to another address as i was moving To other city which is just few hours drive from brampton and the request was approved. Since then, i am not able to track my shipment as it just says Awaiting collection by recipient as requested . when i call customer care they just say its on the way and they can see the details on their end. My shipment hasn't been delivered yet. A basic postal service can deliver faster than this! Don t know where exactly my parcel is right now! I understand there can be delays but atleast be transparent and honest with customers! Pathetic service!

This is the worst experience I ever had with a delivery company in all my life. My package reached them a week ago and they still don't care to deliver the package. For those who are keen to know what they did to me, here is what happened.
Dec 4 11:39 am - With delivery courier.
I had to skip my classes and I waited at home for the package and
Dec 4 5:35 pm - Recipient refused delivery
How on earth can they say i refused a package for which I payed custom duty without even attempting a delivery? The package was about to be returned back to its origin and I had to spend hours waiting for the customer care representative to answer. They heard my complaint and assigned someone to look into my case.
Yesterday I got an automated call from Brampton saying I have to pick it up from Brampton coming all the way from Barrie. I called DHL again and they said it was automated and I agreed that I'd collect my package from another courier company situated in Barrie. I was told that the package would be reaching there today and when I went there, i came to know that the DHL delivery guy left back to brampton without leaving my package. The guy at the delivery company i went for pickup was kind enough to ask the DHL courier guy about my package. He said he'd attempt a delivery on Sunday to my address and if I'm not there, he'd drop it off at the pickup point. Although he didn't mention which 'Sunday'

I wasted my money paying for express courier expecting a quick delivery but I'm now worried abt the condition my package which is being juggled by the courier guys.

Surprised with extra hidden fees and they won t deliver my package unless I pay extra for delivery that I already paid in full. That s not good service. Please be clear and honest with customers. One day you will be sued and you will pay billions in compensation for victims of this practice.

Got the notice that my package was delivered. No knock on door as someone was home. Checked for package within 10 minutes of delivery, no package found. I called DHL who told me their gps indicated that the driver dropped off package at the wrong address. Fine, give them time to resolve. 3 days later they call and say it was dropped off and there s nothing they can do. DHL drivers are scam artist, they steal packages and the company does nothing. Avoid them at all costs.

Update: after customer care telling me that the gps did show their driver at my location I ve now confirmed with the complaint department that the gps cut out at my delivery.

Update: The package arrived, no call with explanation

Ordered something from the USA, was charged duty (obviously) then hit with a 10 dollar transaction fee as well as 5 dollar service fee. No other courier does this. Absolutely ridiculous. Will never order from a company that uses DHL again. Never thought I d say Canada Post is better.

Garbage service. They texted me at 8 am to tell me that they couldn't deliver the package. So they didn't even TRY. And I was home all day the previous day. The automated message said I have to go pick it up in Brampton. Are you kidding me? I am not trekking out all the way to Brampton to collect a package. When you go to their ludicrously inefficient website and click on schedule a delivery, it takes you back to the same page. Who designed your website? It is laughable. I am in awe that this company is still in business.

I ordered a phone for CAD 224, and paid $24 for delivery, a fee of $11 plus tax for processing, and a fee of $5 plus tax for transaction. It's almost 20% of the product price! This is SOOOOO ridiculous! Of course, I wasn't aware of any other additional charges. I wonder what they are going to charge for next time? Signature fee? Fuel fee? Courier smile fee? This review applies to the DHL express service in general, not specific to this office.

I recently made one order from an overseas company for two different kinds of electronic parts: Crystals and circuit boards. I did pay the fees for the package and notice the crystals were missing. Then I get another email from DHL and it turned out that was the crystals in a separate package. I didn't ask for a second package (but I'll blame the seller for that). But in order to receive this particular package, DHL wanted me to pay $195.00 CAD to receive it, yet the item I was still waiting for costs $11 USD (about $15 CAD).

I phoned customer support line and the first person on the line claimed (despite my idea to reject the package) I had no other choice but to pay the fee or the item would be sent to customs where I get 30 days to pay or receive penalties. I asked him for another person to talk to. He gave me a number to Canada Customs officer. I talked to him about the issue and he told me I have every right to return the package and pay no fee. So I talk to DHL again, and when I complained about the fee, the agent said its an error then adjusted it to about $21 CAD that I had to pay to receive the item. I'm not paying $45 CAD for a $15 CAD item.

I keep telling the agents including the DHL CEO guy for several days that either I receive the package for free (because it was part of the same order) or that the package be returned back to the shipper and I request a refund from the shipper.

I don't know why it has to take several days for a shipping company to comprehend that it is unreasonable for an online shopper to pay multiple processing fees to a mailing company for one order when everything in that order can be mailed as one parcel.

I then call DHL customer service, the agent wanted to lure me, so I asked to speak to a supervisor, the agent told me he will call me in 30 minutes, 2:30 after, no call and I had to call them back myself. Their supervisor also tried to deceive me, so I asked for a copy of the customs invoice for the amount paid to Canada Customs, and there I discovered that they had paid only $ 5.83 and that the $ 16, c is DHL who loaded them without asking me if I want to resort to their customs clearance service or do it on my own, before. I then sent them a formal notice to refund the $ 16 for this unsolicited service.

Absolute rubbish! DO NOT USE DHL FOR ANYTHING! Go FedEX, you will have much more peace of mind and less palpitations.

My package which contained my daughters IDs required for travel was sent across to me here in Canada. As you can see from the picture, there was no status on it for 3 days after it left London. It was supposed to be delivered to me on the 16th of December, didn't come through. When i went back on the 17th it showed they could not give me an estimated delivery date. I called the help line, the so called "specialist" (read, some person sitting in a sweat shop in some other country half way around the world) told me they could not locate the package and they have to issue a trace on it. I should be assured that i would be getting a call from a "special case agent" and they would be looking at my file personally making sure to keep me informed at every step of the way.

This so called agent was supposed to call me in 3 business hours, never happened. Called back again same day and then was told "oh, sorry, your file was allocated to the wrong department internally and hence was bouncing around in the system at their end". Then I was told i will be getting a call from the correct "agent" same day and if not they would be calling me the next day to inform me about the update to my package. Never happened.

I called again on the 18th as the tracking was showing that the package had arrived in Canada. Asking about the call i was told well you can see on the online tracking the status, what more do you want us to tell you. We can tell you that the package might or might not be delivered today. When i demanded to understand what was going on and that there was a trace put on this package so please tell me what is happening the specialist (i believe by mistake) told me the trace was picked up in Mexico. So apparently my package was re routed to Mexico for some odd reason and DHL had no idea where it was in all this time.

Anyways, the specialist transferred me to a team leader and this person made it sound it was my fault the package was delayed. Fortunately after pushing for 5 minutes she told me that i should be getting the delivery today the 18th of December but they cannot tell me the delivery time or with any surety if that would be done!

WORST SERVICE, ILL MANNERED CUSTOMER REPS, INACCURATE TRACKING. If that does not make you stay away from these people then I don't know what will.

Horrible Horrible!
Because my building in the past had some security officers who gave the drivers some problems parking the company decided not to come back to this building! Ok, fine, BUT as per my building management they have tried to rectify the situation but DHL still refuses to deliver. I was tracking my package until the final day they wrote "package refused by recipient! I was like what!! not even a phone call to explain the issue, they assumed I knew about the problems they had with my building! Instead of informing me the customer they just wrote some generic message saying I refused the package! long story short I still have not received my package since the nearest location is far away and I had to go away for the weekend (also needed the contents of the package for my weekend away as it was a birthday)! I understand that if their drivers were not allowed to park then it's justified to stop delivering, but the management of my building jumped on the issue, sorted it out with all other courier services, but DHL is being childish and stubborn, still refusing to deliver to this building! horrible, I will never order from any other company that uses DHL. Wish there was a negative 20 star review.

Have ordered products multiple times from Europe and everything has usually arrived early, always had good tracking online and all my packages have been left at my door without issue. Including inside an apartment building several times.

I love using DHL for international shipping, for domestic or from the US I would choose UPS as it's the default on most Etsy and other indie type websites anyway.

I paid an extra $35 for DHL express which was promised to be delivered in 1-3 business days on a Wednesday; now it ll be Tuesday the following week and no one knows what s going on with my package. This ridiculous yet sadly not the first time DHL has screwed up my delivery.
I will never shop from a retailer that uses DHL again and I ll tell that retailer why DHL does not deserve their business.

Terrible service by the brokerage team. Still holding my package even though proper paperwork was submitted timely.
Documents had to be resent due to their team MISPLACING them.
After confirmation of receipt they ask for revisions to invoices to add details that are already present on the forms - clearly not reading them properly.
If you have a choice of carrier for your shipment I recommend ANY OTHER COMPANY than DHL.

I would give a 4.5 star this time. It was fast, and when it's out of delivery the driver called me to make sure I'm home. Before drivers never did that and it got me frustrated sometimes. Also the DHL twitter account has much better customer service than their call centre!!!
