Be VERY careful and read the fine print!! They tell you its a three year contract, but what they don't tell you is how they automatically renew your agreement for another year. So if you try to cancel five years later they say sorry your under contract and its going to cost you $220 if you want to "break your contract". According to their contract you have a 30 day window every 12 months to cancel, and if you don't it automatically starts another year contract. Such a crappy way to treat people who trusted your services.

We got our full security system installed today, it was such a great deal and we re so excited to have it! Everyone we talked to with DFW security has been so nice and helpful! Especially Hugo who came out and installed ours today, he was very nice and explained everything very detailed and didn t leave until he knew I fully understood everything! Plus all the equipment is very nice and great quality! I highly recommend using this company if you need or want a security system!

Do NOT get involved with this company! I contacted them on the recommendation of the Russ Martin Show. I thought being local and hearing great things from Dan on the show, they would be reputable, NOT SO! They gave me a great sales pitch. They told me about all new/never used equipment, all with a 100% lifetime warranty, how they never use subcontractors and that my rate would be locked in for life. I agreed to have the system installed the next week. They asked for my bank information, which I never give out, so I gave them my credit card to charge the first month's monitoring plus an additional outdoor camera total $348.56. They hit my card the next day. When I received the contract by e-mail that day it was NOT what I was promised at all. I called them the next day to cancel the install. The person I talked to did everything he could to get me to reconsider cancelling. I told him I was not interested in doing business with them. A few hours later I got a call from Guy, the owner, and he assured me that everything that I had been told originally was true and the contract was just the industry standard and they were good about what they said. I informed him that the contract, not his word would be binding if it ever came down to it. He assured me that he wanted to make it right and agree to send his best installer who would rewrite the contract so it said exactly what I wanted, and was promised, before installing anything and he would match the price I was quoted by another security company, which was $20.00 a month cheaper. I agreed to give them a chance. I later did some more research. Which I should have done initially. I made a decision based on everything that had already happened and after reading their very poor reviews, that I did NOT want to do business with them. I called on Wednesday and told them to cancel my installation. The person I spoke to again tried very hard too get me to reconsider. He also said that I shouldn't believe the reviews because they weren't always true. (THIS ONE IS) I told them that my decision was final and that I did not need another call from Guy or anyone else. I told them that if the money was credited back to my credit card by close of business on Friday that we could part peacefully and I would not write a negative review. Here we are on Saturday and no refund. They have NO Contract and I have none of their equipment and they have never been to my home, so there is no reason that I have not received a full and complete refund. And I don't need to hear any excuse about how long it takes to process refunds, I know the truth. The truth is something that DFW seems to struggle with. I believe that based on reading all of their reviews that anyone giving them a positive review has never done anything other than pay their bill and never asked for service or questioned anything. DO NOT USE DFW Security!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was told the following Monday that the refund had been submitted and it would take 7-10 days to post. Most refund transaction don't take that long and they should have issued a credit the Wednesday that I told them I was no longer interested in their service.

Got a call from Robert today, customer service representative, after all of my issues yesterday, DFW was able to get me a resolution that would work out for me and my family. Thank you to Robert and ownership for taking care of me on my concerns and issues. 5 STARS!!

The technician was very prompt and professional. He answered all of my questions and had my problem resolved quickly. He even told me about other promotions they had going on. I would highly recommend DFW security.

I am completely satisfied with the service I have received from DFW Security. From the installation to the monitoring, everything has been thoroughly handled. With my previous company, I was never sure if the system was actually being monitored but I have promptly received a phone call, text, and email from DFW Security every time my system has been compromised. Fortunately, they have all been false alarms but it is comforting to know DFW is paying attention.

Larry came out, not only to fix my original issue which was my doorbell. He also helped me with my door sensor questions, alarm panel, which I thought I would have to make a seperate appt for, since I only inquired about one thing when I originally made my appt. Not only that, but I got a new inside camera plus a new door lock, same day which wasn t even scheduled. I thought someone else would have to come out and he said no he could do it. He really friendly and did everything super fast. If I have any other issues (which I doubt it, this was my first one with the company since I ve had them), I hope I m able to request him as my technician. He s also very observant, I forgot to ask him for a new yard sign my daughter accidentally broke and as he was walking out he saw it and told me he was getting me a new one. It completely slipped my mine I m glad he caught that. 5 stars++++++ for him

The setup is fine. The contracts and customer service are awful.

Had DFW Security for two years now. They lure you in with a $12.95 offer, but to get anything of substance you'll be paying $50/month. Do yourself a favor and buy a ring and a few cameras and install yourself and itll pay for itself in a few months. Also a 36 month contract is required.

To add to the above - DFW Security Customer Support has been non-existent. Anytime I have an issue they want to send a technician for a cool $95 even though I have a plan that pays $5 to cover mishaps with the equipment. Recommendation is still the same - avoid.

We just purchased a new home and our realtor referred us to DFW Security. She swapped from a competitor and was absolutely impressed with DFW. Now that we have had our security system installed, I could not agree more! The quality of the equipment and video feed are top notch and cover the entire area of the home we requested. On that note, although the equipment installed also deserves the 5 stars, this raving review actually goes to the DFW team I worked with. From the customer service department (namely, Ms. Lindsey Wood) to the install professional (Mr. Larry), the customer service was completely outstanding! Ms. Lindsey and Mr. Larry were both prompt, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and generously patient to all of my questions and concerns! I could not have asked for a better team to work with. There s no price on peace of mind and Ms. Lindsey and Mr. Larry being A1 professionals was a huge bonus!! 5 stars are simply not enough. Thank you, Ms. Lindsey and Mr. Larry over at DFW Security!

BEWARE!!! once you signup for a contract, they will use it to hold you and keep renewing it without warning... and will even deny that you sent a cancellation request. They make you signup for 3 years contract, which includes the cost of the equipment... but then if it auto-renews, they will not change or lower that rate until your next renewal. You are also forced to pay for each additional sensor you want to add (monthly) even if you can buy it from other retailers 5x cheaper, plus their mandatory installation fee. Once you "own" your system (paid-off from contract), you still will not be able to change anything because they won't remove their installer code or reset it to the default installer code ("trade practice" according to their staff).

DFW security has been great since we had their services installed in June 2019. It is easy to reach them via phone and email if you have a question. When we did have 1 small issue with our doorbell camera it was quickly resolved. I d recommend anyone looking for home security and automation to use DFW Security.

I just want to say that this is the best Alarm Monitoring company in the DFW Metroplex. I have had other alarm systems in the past but the professionalism of the sales department and the Installation department. I have had my alarm system activated and very quickly DFW was calling my phone to make me aware. I would 100% recommend DFW Security to anyone who is in the market for an alarm system.
