DFW Marriott South Hotel Reviews

Very nice hotel but the renovations in the lobby is very noisy.

The hotel is close to the Dallas Forth Worth airport. There is a shuttle every half an hour between 5 am and 11 pm. They also pick up from the airport. The surrounding is good. There is a restaurant in the hotel. There are close fast food restaurants but they are not good, 7-11 and gas station next to the hotel. The hotel is clean, quiet, new and comfortable. The room is good. Bathroom is new. The meeting rooms are well-maintained and serviced. It is not cheap. It is worth to stay here. I recommend this hotel.

Nice location near the airport. Good workout space and lovely pool.

There was construction going on and not clearly marked. The bkanket on tbe bed had stains on it. Only had one set of elevators. Some of the areas were not very clean.

Nice property, extremely helpful staff. Not too close to the airport so decently quiet. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Great staff. Very nice rooms and Kevin the banquet Manager is hands down the best at his job. To me the only down part most people will never see is Brandon I really don't know his title but according to him "this is my hotel" as he talks down to people. Brandon yes it is your hotel. Please stay there forever and leave the rest of the world alone.

The rooms were nice and clean,front desk was great, plenty of parking and in a good location. A lot of resturants nearby. Wish they had a shuttle to att stadium.

Visited the hotel for a wedding, typical experience, clean accommodations, decent priced drinks.

I have updated my review from last year after staying here last week in Aug 2017 and gave 4 stars. The newly renovated hotel rooms, lobby and lounge is top notch in luxury and comfort. RFID door locks, interactive smart TV sets and new carpets and bathrooms fittings. Everything is great.
An upclass hotel right at the airport.

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at I quite a while. It is well designed, the staff is quite friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant is interesting and delicious

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff willing to answer all our questions! The restaurant has a great menu that is decently priced with some good drinks. The appetizers were really good after a long travel day and our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. There was a big football convention thing going on in the hotel but the staff still made sure we weren't ignored, that made us feel very good.

Signage sucks but other than that good luck in the garages

Very nice upscale and modern, we stayed in the concierge level, just beautiful accommodations, and the restaurant downstairs was very good as well

I recently had a chance to visit the DFW Marriott and I was impressed by the foyer and how clean and inviting it was.

Serene location. Quiet, even though multiple basketball teams are guests at the time. Rooms were clean, comfortable bedding, relaxing showers. Starbucks in the lobby. Concierge service. Close to dining.

Beautiful Marriott hotel of smaller scale but typical of the Marriott quality in amenities that members appreciate, not to mention the steal of a deal I got to get this for under $90 bucks a night with free parking.

A very pleasant and accommodating hotel. We had a business conference there and it was wonderful! Their staff was fabulous and the food was excellent too! I could see us returning there!

Newly renovated. The rooms are excellent, and look pretty cool. I wish they had a microwave, though. Beds are comfy. Walls are a touch thin, but not like La Quinta.

Nothing about this hotel indicate that it s a Marriott service rooms cleanliness they all were disappointed The only 2 good things about this airport is the shuttle drivers were super nice and the bartender I wish I can remember their names other then that My experience was in the greatest I m a little disappointed at Marriott

Friendly and courteous staff, hotel itself is definitely dated but they are refurbing some of the floors. Definitely shows its age in places though. Lobby looks straight out of the 80s and rooms are clean but again old. There's decent options for food within walking distance as the restaurant is extremely expensive ($18 burger??)

Great service, the rooms are ok, clean and comfortable.

Very elegant and relaxed atmosphere. Might be a little too relaxed, because things were a little slower than we were expecting for a meal, but the quality of the service was excellent and we loved our waitress, the food was delicious, and the portions were very generous.

Wonderful stay. Room was spacious as was the shower. Food was plentiful and very good. Staff was friendly and always helpful. Highly recommend.

The rooms were nice, big, and stylish. Loved the shower and it had a really comfortable bed. My only issue is that you can hear everything in the hallway.

Friendly, courteous staff and beautiful, clean and modern rooms. Netflix built into the TV, which is a huge plus.

Nice staff, but the hotel is very dated. I expect more from the Marriott brand.

They have a very helpful team across shifts which creates a great guest experience IMHO. I love the burger I get from room service, but I haven't tried their onsite restaurant yet.

Rooms are clean and completely remodeled, vary nice. The beds are very firm and our particular room had a huge light that was supposed to shine on the but it also shined in our window and couldn't be blocked by the curtains, room was well lit

It was pleasant, modern, the bathroom is very nice, the hotel itself and the room is very clean and well designed. Closer to all stadiums and parks, very close to DFW Airport and the train station. We were not too exciting about the breakfast buffet; the setting was very average, the food should have some kind of method to keep the food warm; such as heat lamp or Sterno. I was not a huge selection either. When we walked in the room, it was dark so we tried to turn on the light just to found out that there are no room light, we have to turn on every lamps to light up the room. Overall, this hotel is well worth coming back again.

Attended the Fort Worth Project Management Chapter for professional development. The Marriot staff were very professional and curtious.

Nice hotel but the front desk staff is horrible!!! The impression was given that they cater only to certain people!!!

Our stay here has been awesome so far. The beds are comfy and the service is great.

Creaky entry doors,beds are way to soft, bar/food items wwaaayyy over priced, bar staff wwwaayyy to slow. Place needs a make over.

Love this hotel!!!! I have been staying here for years and the new renovation is PHENOMINAL. The service is outstanding, rooms are beautiful and has good food options in the restaurant. I love how it is near the airport but you feel far enough away from the runway. You can walk to nearby shops and restaurants so not an isolated area. Love this hotel!!!

The 2018 Texas Hoe-Down is a great annual ACDA event. It's fun for line AND couples dancing.

Awesome place to stay, very close to DFW. The staff did an amazing job. Love the beds, so comfy and relaxing. Many shops and restaurants around. Also very close to Six Flags for those amusement goers.

Hire is great. Restaurant service needs improvement.

The entrance is a large meeting area with plenty of unique tables and chairs to meet at. There is also a bar, many TV's, and an M Club restaurant. Very nice.

I've been here a few times and they have always had issues with getting rooms available on time. Compounded with some other relatively small issues, I'll be checking out other options the next time I'm in the area. Not a bad place to stay, but they're not as efficient and consistent as other Marriotts.

Under construction. But very friendly staff. Nice bar. Beers on tap. Plenty of parking and nice courtesy van drivers.

Great place greeting at check in was awesome . If you get a chance go to the Bar / Resturant say Hi to Lee Ann great customer service from her and the manager. These people know the meaning of making you feel welcome.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!! First booked my room for the wrong weekend and charged me for a "no show" then when I called they refused to give me my money back til I spoke with the general manager. Then asked to be booked for the correct weekend and when I showed up room was not correct. They refused to let me take a luggage cart upstairs without a bell boy. Like I didn't need or want his help. I like to pack my own stuff and take my own stuff down. So I got the luxury of dragging about 6 suitcases from the 7th floor out to my car. TWO elevators for the ENTIRE hotel! One quit working half way through our stay. You would literally wait 20-30 minutes for the elevator. Stairs were not an option because they were located in a "construction zone" you were not allowed to go in. Which became a REAL problem when the fire alarm went off. No way to exit the building from the stairs. How is that even safe? Hotel restaurant was awful. Three tables when we walked in and we waited 20 minutes and still hadn't even been asked what we wanted to drink. We ended up leaving and going to Wendy's down the road. They never cleaned our room at all. Not once the entire weekend. For what they charge you would expect a good stay but it was a nightmare from booking til checkout! NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY WITH MARRIOTT!

My husband and I were very impressed by the friendly, competent and professional staff that waited on us in such a lovely hotel and at a time when an emergency ensued with my husband's health condition. We were in need of a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere after arriving from the airport and were more than impressed with our room. Actually it was much more than we expected for the price. The hotel shuttle which picked us up at the airport arrived quickly and we didn't have to wait since my husband was not feeling well and needed a place to rest in order to continue our remaining trip to San Antonio the next day. Unfortunately we were not able to spend the night as just a few minutes after we arrived at our room, my husband had to be rushed to the emergency room which turned out to be a heart attack. We were impressed at the professionalism and the immediate assistance and the way everything was handled by the evening Front Desk Manager on Sept. 19, 2014. We truly got top notch personal treatment and it helped so much at the time when our life seemed to be falling apart. Thanks to all that took part along with EMS as every second counted.

The hotel has a modern look to it. It was clean throughout. There was plenty of parking. Check in was fast & easy. The AC was difficult to control because I would put it on fan but it would switch off. I wanted the extra noise from the fan to drown out the airplanes flying overhead & the hallway noise. The beds are firm & the pillows were awful! They were down which I do not prefer it at all. It flattens out if you are a side sleeper, which I am. I brought my body pillow & ended up using it as a pillow during the night. I've stayed in many hotels over the years & it looks like firm beds & down pillows are the norm. :( Overall we had a nice visit though. I would recommend it & would probably stay here again.

This location has been recently remodeled and they didn t miss a beat. For someone who travels a lot for work, finding a hotel that is comfortable and has a lot of amenities is hard. The Marriott South did a great job of providing a comfortable stay. The staff was wonderful and the bar/restaurant was top notch. I will be returning in the future for another work stay.

The hotel and rooms have been remodeled with a fresh new look. The rooms are nice except for bathroom door and the beds. The bathroom door is a sheet of glass that slides on a track. There are substantial gaps in either side of the door which allow noise and smells to come into the room and does not provide very much privacy. The beds also are very firm and uncomfortable.
