DFW Marriott South Hotel Reviews

Horrible experience. Vehicle was BROKEN INTO AND STRIPPED of it's valuables. I left my information to the night security, staff, and had a police report. Not an apology or compensation was given to me since my 9 day parking reservation in Aug.

Somewhat older property.undergoing construction on the concierge level.

My sister and I stayed with a co-worker overnight after our 3 day Advocare Conference, before an early morning flight back to Philly.

Convenient shuttle from the airport was amazing. Check in was an easy process. My reason for my stay was a business trip. We got our rooms on a group rate a week ago. It was comfortable to know they were going to be ready for our arrival. I got to my room. Alarm radio was blasting. The floor was a mess. There was debris on the floor; I even found a dried up French fry. The integrity of the cleanliness was iffy. The room was modern. I had the king with a sofa. They did leave the room made up when I did come back from the meeting. In room safe were easy to use. TV had Netflix which was a comfort for me. I had a problem with my bill but when I went to the Front desk no one was available to help me. They told me to call a number and the people on the phone told me to talk to front desk. Don't like that type of run around. It was fixed at the end. My dinner experience was not so good. I waited a while to be seated. When noticed they sat me. Then it took a while to get a drink and food. I think the manager had a good turn around when he at least got my drink order. It was getting late and I had to get rest for the day. Food had good flavor. Shower water pressure was amazing. I utilized the gym. Ample gym space for hotel size. I went swimming twice. Indoor pool not heated but perfect for a few laps. It was a wishy washy experience.

Very nice place to stay. Froze to death on the shuttle.

Went to a Wedding, the service was slow, dinner wasn't served until 8:00, was suppose to be served at 6:30.

I attended an event and the main lobby was very spacious and looked very nice

Been there one time so far (doing work nearby - expect to be there a LOT this quarter). Food was good, bar was very good. Bed comfy. Clean. Staff VERY attentive. I see they are going to update the rooms and common areas. Couldn't hurt. It is a tad bit dated but not enough to bother me.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, but the remote was broken and the AC vent was dirty and noisy all night.

Great hotel with top notch amenities. Room was updated and clean and the bed was very comfortable. I attended a business event there and the meeting spaces were great. Only complaint was that the pool was closed...the one time I remembered my suit lol.

Warm staff and proactive in helping, making sure that all guests are treated as if home.

Great staff, put me on a higher floor and away from elevator without asking. Lounge is open 24 hours a day! Would stay again! Thank You.

Good location to DFW, modern looking rooms with large TV and good furniture.

The stay was great, but my car was hit in the parking lot and they do not have any security cameras so now I am out 500 dollars for my deductible to fix my car because someone was a jackass and didn t report it or leave a note

3/5 stars because they should have cameras and after reading reviews on Facebook and google I see theft and accidents happen pretty frequently

Modern, clean, comfortable. I got had to stay here on an airline voucher (missed connection flight) so I don't know the prices, but this was a very nice hotel. It felt upscale when I wasn't expecting it, although I'm not terribly familiar with Marriott. I'm health conscious so I really appreciate the bowl of green apples at the desk. I waited for a shuttle to catch my flight, but due to an influx of tourists the shuttle was full, so the hotel bought a taxi for me, very happy with that.

Had a wonderful business lunch there. Food was really good.

Overall the experience was great. The room was a bit dated and I was stuck in the room right outside the elevator so there was a bit of chatter going on throughout the night (hence the 4 stars). The food in the restaurant on the lobby was delicious and I would highly recommend getting the fries.

The rooms were clean, their breakfast was amazing. Every single staff were extremely helpful and professional!

Very good but noisy noise late at night and in the axis of the runway so noise of aircraft ... otherwise nice and very comfortable.

We stayed here when we attended the George Strait concert. Everyone at the hotel was so helpful - from the minute we walked in the lobby and met Doug at the front desk to every server in the restaurant, the experience was much better than any hotel I have stayed in recently! After the concert we were stranded at AT&T Stadium waiting for a taxi, with 500 other people. We made a call to the hotel and they sent a driver to pick us up at 1:00 a.m. - above and beyond! Thank you to everyone. We will be back when in the area again.

Excellent remodel throughout. Very friendly staff. Low turnover so longer tenured staff.

The sound Insulation is good inside the rooms. The views are quite good.

This property is susceptible to break-ins. I was on the property for a business meeting (6 hours) and my vehicle was broken into even though I parked right by the lobby doors. The hotel has no security cameras even though the staff mentioned this hotel is frequently targeted by car thieves. This is the 2nd vehicle break-in in the last 2 years for my company which has biannual business meetings here. The hotel takes no liability so you will be out your deductible for any repairs.

Always top quality service when I stay here. Even when there is a problem, they handle it in the best possible way.

Currently undergoing a renovation. New rooms are excellent!

I had a flight mistake and so AA got me a room here and I was in disbelief with their kindness - every single staff member I met went out of their way to help me and the driver of the bus even looked up my gate for my morning flight - I hadn't stayed here before but this will absolutely be where I stay before a flight now ! The rooms were exceptional and the food was perfect ! Five stars for sure !!!
