I ordered a custom cake from Dessert Gallery last week for a mermaid themed birthday party and I was very impressed! I sent them an example photo of what I wanted and they were able to recreate it exactly. Not only did the cake look amazing but it was also delicious. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them in the future!!

Slices are progressively getting smaller but the food is still good.

My favorite cookies! These chocolate dipped ones are so good. Everyone should taste one of these!

Not cheap but worth every penny. Love the quality, creativity and ambiance. Only three stars because they seem short staffed in person and on the phone. Saying that because they never picked up the phone when I called 2-3 times about my order, and never returned my voicemail in the 1.5 hours between my call and my visit to pick up.

It was and has always been delicious. A must go for all those who have a desire for something sweet. From cookies to slice of cake and combine that with all different kinds of beverages. This place is a child dream !!!

Staff was very friendly , the restaurant had a nice smell and vibe made me want to go back ! I had the lemon squares and a red velvet cupcake which was amazing. I will have to visit again soon !

Expected more since it's in River Oaks. Nothing laid out for ease. Had no clue you could buy slices of cakes.

Good selection of macaroons. We got the xmas special snowman macaroon. Lines were long though but worth it for a good cup of coffee

Tiramisu is awesome ! Great atmosphere and service.

The place atmosphere is on point HOWEVER the tiramisu was suuuuper dry. Not good at all. Order something else.

Especially nice visit with all the Pride decorated goodies. Inclusive place with great cookies!!

I the strawberry Cheese cake!

We ordered 4 cakes slices and 2 cappuccinos. The cappuccinos were COLD. Also we sat outside and the three tables they have are all mess up. Check the pictures I took. Poor service and poor quality! I don't recomend this place specifically when you are celebrating a birthday after a fancy dinner in a restaurant.

Good selection of cakes and very friendly staff, however, there are so many employees that they get I the way of each other and mix things is.
Previously I have gotten a disposable cake cutter with every purchase but did not get it this time. Staff forgot to write the message on the cake and then remembered once handing the cake to me. No receipt for purchase given.

It s a great store, but I believe the employees are getting in the way of each other.

Best dessert place especially for thst late night sweet tooth.

Pricey (but look where you are), but the desserts are fantastic. Homemade in the back, fresh coffee ready to go as well as a full coffee bar (latte, espresso, etc) now. House of pies, down the street, is a better deal - but this place definitely puts a lot more effort into their product and it shows. Good date spot!

One of my friends recommended this place years ago and I didn't think much of it at the time. But I picked up some Valentine's day treats for my husband here this year and they were a major hit. Some months later, we have now tried a couple slices of a couple cakes and some cookies, I think that I've finally found a new go to dessert place.

Love this place, cake flavors are great. My favorite is the turtle cake and toffilicious. Easy to find, great seating options. And the serve other foods.

It's decent, but the best part is they are close and open quite late for those evening cravings.

The red velvet cupcake from here is one of the best in Houston...BUT definitely not Texas sized. Been coming here for about 10 years and the size of the cupcakes get smaller every few years and the price gets bigger every few years. I was very disappointed when I went last week with the mini cupcake I was handed.

This place is not a good look. Wanted a simple vanilla cake with strawberry icing and they charge an extra $15 to put the icing on. They advertise that each cake is freshly made, but the $15 charge for "extra production" does not say the same.

In reply to your response; I have done my fair share of cooking/baking; If I am making a cake, freshly out of the oven, it is simple to decide which frosting will be used on that cake, without much of a change in pace (even if I changed my mind). I called well in advance for this to easily happen.

Pricey. Lemon bars are not the same and seems like the cake slices are getting smaller.

Super delicious cakes. I have bought two for my kids' birthdays but I have sampled many others as my company purchases from them for staff birthdays. I love the chocolate options but my favorite is the unicorn cake!

Sunday was our anniversary so I got our dessert before dinner. As a chocoholic Jennifer s Birthday slice was sooo good! Moist, rich and deep! Her blueberry lemon was just as good. The freshness of the blueberry fruit laced with lemon cake is still in my mind. THE CARBS WENT OUT THE WINDOW! Maybe once a month?

Went to pick up a slice of cake. Service was good and usually I don't mind the slices being cold however, this time the cake wasn't as moist and I was disappointed. Maybe I just picked a wrong day but I wish the cake would have been fresh and moist tasting. I ordered the "diner cake" which is butter cake with milk chocolate icing.

The carrot cake and the tres leches I tried from Dessert Gallery were so out of this world good that I had to leave a revie. I want to both encourage the world to try these desserts and praise the baker for their phenomenal creations. I have eaten a lot of cake in my day (trust) and have never had anything as delicious as the desserts I tried from this place. Bravo.

Just WOW! The piece of chocolate cake I shared with my daughter (it's HUGE) was the best I've ever eaten and I'm sort of a cake connoisseur, along with cookies The atmosphere was upbeat and fun. There's a place to sit and relax or play boardgames. Super fun!

I only come here for my cakes but the last few times I've been they give much smaller slices of cake for the same price as before! Go back to your larger portions or go down on your prices!

Great place to pop in and get a quick dessert after eating at a restaurant near by. We got a piece of everything. not overly priced. normal for this day in age and for the quality of the cookies and cake. they also were very generous with the piece they cut. will be back.

Yummy cookies, but overpriced. I guess they have to pay the rent somehow. I might go again for a special occasion.

What a lovely experience. I liked the place .. the dessert.. the coffe and the staff.

Staff was incredibly rude getting people out the door who had just bought food and sat down 15 minutes before closing. They turned off half the lights, turned off the music. If you don't want someone to eat there, then only serve To Go orders the last half an hour.

idk why people complain about the service. The ladies there tried their best to help me with the cakes. I ordered 2 9-inch cakes for my husband and his guests: carrot cake and Italian cream cake. Both were tasty! My husband saud the carrot cake was the best in town!

Whenever my tongue urges for sweet dessert, i run to this place without any second thought because i know, i will not be disappointed. amazing place if want to eat dessert.

0 stars!!!! Bad service, spoiled food. Expensive, and management will not hear you complaints. Will say you are wrong and they are right. Chocolate bar is not far away I recommend that place over this so called dessert place.

We stop at the dessert gallery every time we are in Houston! Amazing cupcakes

This place has very good cakes. My wife and I had our engagement party catered with this sweet sweet endeavor. Often enough. Maybe once a every other month we like to treat ourselves to this. My personal favorites are the strawberry cakes, the vanilla cakes, and unicorn when available. The French vanilla is great also. It's a nice place to end the night with friends after dinner or even to take a snack break. They do however apply more icing than necessary.

I have tried Tres leches and mom's chocolate cake so fara and both were excellent.

Disappointing visit overall. We purchase desserts to go, and when we arrived home, the lemon vacheran was broken and a mess. It looks like the portions were smaller than the past.

I love dessert but I must say that this place isn't the best. The presentation is nice but the taste isn't there for me.

I was craving something sweet so i decided to give Dessert gallery a shot and let me say they didn t let me down . Both slices were excellent .

Good desserts, great variety, always same good quality

Variety of cake options, cookies, and pies which makes it hard to decide. They have a menu you can choose from and add ice cream, coffee, hot chocolate, sodas, or whatever your preference is. A little pricey but worth it for special occasions. All occasions cakes are also sold. Highly recommended!

Best cheesecake and carrot cake

This used to be the best place for Tres Leches cake. This is probably the 6th or 7th time I get this cake in the last year and it s half dry. There used to be a pool of milk at the bottom of the container, now there s not even milk on half the cake. Very disappointing. If I wanted vanilla cake I would just buy vanilla cake.

It was good, clean and friendly. Need to try more offering.
