Great spot for Italian. I prefer brunch here to dinner but you really can't go wrong with either.

Great spot for Italian. I prefer brunch here to dinner but you really can't go wrong with either.
Classy, but unoriginal menu. Average food with the village price tag. The staff is not the nicest. The ambience is ruined by the smoke and loudness of the open kitchen.
From time to time I wondered if there was something wrong!
There are multiple great restaurants around the area that you could check out before paying a visit to this place.
Not too bad, but the downside of so-called fusion places is that being that chic trendiness, cuisine itself seems to lack a little kick or pizazz, and a bit pricey for portions. But overall, tasty experience...
I will never stop raving about the food here. The best Italian for this Italian from Chicago
This place used to my hidden secret neighborhood gem. It's not a secret anymore. Great house made pasta in great variety.
My husband and I had dinner at the chef's counter for our anniversary and couldn't be more thrilled with our experience. The food was out of this world and the service was excellent. I only wish we'd allotted more time so that we could have gotten a fuller experience!
Wonderful Italian food! Absolutely no complaints other than it's so popular, it's hard to snag a table!
Every time my wife and I travel to NYC we go to Dell'Anima. Although we miss the old location, the new location is great and the food is still the best. Hats off to Andrew and the entire team!
Best Italian dinner in Manhattan but brunch seemed like an afterthought
Speaks for itself. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable.
excellent food is why the crowds always flock to this tiny crowded spot. the food and presentation could be among the finest in the city and one must deal with the crowds and noise to enjoy it.
Dissapointing. Small and loud. Bruschetta was little more than grilled bread with toppings. Pasta entres were small. My chicken was not cooked through and I had to send it back. Server offered a glass of wine, but damage had been done, and my appetite was gone. Desserts were not special. Even the coffee was served with milk rather than cream. Service was okay, but left us waiting for the check way too long.
It's one the best Italian restaurants in Manhattan, best atmosphere, and people you will ever meet in your life. You owe it to yourself to go there even if it's just one time in your life.
Took forever and the portions were tiny ... to the point that I thought it might have been a joke.
Tasty food, carbonara was delicious and unconventional. Small place so seating is tight, and waiter seemed to have too many tables. It seemed like he could have used some extra help.
I was recommended to your restaurant and I will ALWAYS try and come back!
Chef Whitney and his 2 counterparts in the kitchen were UNREAL.
Great Minnesota kid in the big city!
Had a wonderful meal with my daughter in NY.
Highly recommend the Pork Chop, the garlic corn was amazing!
I will definitely try their specialty, the pan seared chicken, next time i go.
Warmest Regards!

The food was fairly unimpressive. One dish, the bucatini alla arrabiata was good. The bartender was very nice and so was the rest of the staff.
The meal was fantastic. The best carbonara I have ever eaten. The chared octopus is great. Excellent service.
Very nice food, great environment, and service. I probably would like to have a bit larger portion.
Pop-up cafeteria style.
Food was delicious, slightly limited menu. Good wine list.

I had high expectations for this spot, it being the sister restaurant of one of my favorites, L'Artusi. And my expectations were met; nay, surpassed! This place is awesome. A bit smoky and loud, but a crowd full of cool cats. The fare is simple, elegant, and delicious. I would definitely recommend the bucatini arrabiata. It is spicy and has nice amount of breadcrumbs, which provide a great texture.
Good choice for Italian in the West Village - buzzy crowd in the evenings, more relaxed during the day. Definitely recommended, one of my go-to places.
I don't get the hype. The dishes were mediocre. The pasta I had was insipid and nothing special. The octopus was tough. The space is uncomfortable and cramped. The service is good though and the wine list is interesting.
Some beautiful food here. Try the octopus. WIne selection is also nice. Sometimes the smoke from the open kitchen can fill the back - try to get a seat near the window.
Didn't eat here, only had drinks. Great pint of Guinness poured here. They also serve McSorleys Light and Dark on draught - another plus point. Friendly staff as well
Delicious food and smart service. Quality trumps quantity here. The place is good to come with a friend, on a date or alone and eat at the counter facing the kitchen.
One of the most amazing meals I've ever eaten. Definitely a must-try place in the neighbourhood. Staff wasn't great, not overly friendly or helpful, but the food was spectacular.
My God, is it dim in here. There's a fine line to be toed between sexy ambient lighting and 'your fork is in my forearm' and this place veers towards the latter. Which is unfortunate, because the food should be seen, considering it looks More
Very cozy and somewhat tight space, but the food and wine list is to die for.
One of the best neighborhood Italian restaurants in the city. Unfortunately closing soon. Another victim of rising NYC rents. Update, has relocated to 60011th Ave in the Gotham West Market Food Hall.
Scallops were excellent. Attentive service and uplifting vibe.
Come early for their 5:30 apertivo, a nod to the Italian tradition. With the purchase of a drink, there are complimentary apps for you to enjoy!
It was a real local Italian pasta feel and was a small restaurant but the chef was kind and the food was delicious. The pasta is also made from raw noodles and cooked.
The bone marrow was big and delicious. The carbonara was amazing
Sat at at the chefs table for a Valentines day dinner. Good service, great food. Looking forward to dining here again.
Great food. Great cocktails. Service and atmosphere good too.
Good brunch with an Italian twist. Nice change of pace from the usual southern-style fare in Atlanta.
Pasta itself was cooked very well, would be better with a little more sauce. Service was just average but food took way too long. Went there on a Saturday night and it took over 50mins for the food to come out. Overall a little better than average would give it 3.5 stars max
Sat at the chef's table to watch the magic happen. The wine, risotto and service were all very good. An intimate neighborhood gem.
Delicious food with a simple menu. Pastas were definitely to die for.
wonderful, creative Italian food and carefully selected good value Italian wines. We always have a great time and a wonderful meal each time we go. Lots of tables for two.
We ate at he bar and the bartender was very nice and friendly.
The food was tasty and the portion size was right for us, though a bit small for the price.
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day so I was thrilled to start off my day with a burrito from Bread and Butter. great..
Very good food, but strange service - my friend got a fly in his wine, and the server merely offered to fish it out. There was also wax from the cork that had fallen in, and the waiter didn't remove that! Very odd. Also, it's very loud inside, so get the outdoor seating if you can (max party size is probably 3).
I parked by bicycle and ate my meal at the sidewalk bar. I rare opportunity in NYC.
FABULOUS! Was told to try the Chicken Diablo - it was was wonderful - and the chef and staff were great as well! We will be back!!!
this is probably my favorite Italian restaurant in the world (ok maybe excluding Italy). Perfectly prepared dishes with very well advised wine pairings.
no complaints, great space, great service, awesome food.
This place is great. I'm not a big ice cream fan but it was so original and organic.. the best taste ever.. the Mango was fantastic
Great little Italian restaurant. Place to be in Greenwich
This restaurant deserves all the praise it is capable of handling. The menu is to the point and the food? Let's just say that they have broken my dismay towards properly prepared octopus till the end of my days. Drink selection from wine to whiskey is staggering. Of course, my favorite Lagavulin Single Malt is always available as well as Bulleit Bourbon and of course, Macallan. Prices are not low but could be way higher for a place of this quality. Food will even be prepared right in front of your eyes if you wish.
Have not been here? You have not experienced great.
Love is not a strong enough word. Anything you order will please your palate. Be sure to risk the clogged arteries and order two of the bone marrow. You will not be disappointed. Portions can be small, but totally worth the talent, technique and creativity put into them. Miss the West Village location, but who cares where you have to go when incredible food like this is involved.
Received a recommendation from a friend. Better then expected. Sublime pasta, good wine and service. Don't be put off by the counter.
Great pasta and great brunch on the weekends. The eggs are to die for and the pasta dishes are excellent. I love the pasta with mushroom and the pasta bolognese. The only thing that I don't like here is the coffee.
The portion of spagetti a arabiata has $ 19 it seems a lot for the place
Very tasty Italian food and ok price! If you're there around the Hudson Yards, check it out.
This is restaurant is everything its cracked up to be. The food is unbelievable.
Great wine. Great food. Great service. Pasta was crack. Chicken was cooked to perfection although it was overly spiced.
I ate here once and I sat at the chef s Counter where Chef Andrew made this heavenly risotto. It was the Risotto Alla Pilota that comes with housemade sausage, salumi, pecorino romano. Ever since then I ve never had a risotto that tasted so amazing. I also had the arugula salad which was very refreshing. Everyone here is super friendly and makes you feel like you re sitting down with family to eat. The place is very cozy and cute. I cannot wait to go back there again.
The tajarin alla carbonara was excellent, as was the tagliatelle bolognese. Bruschette are a bit non-traditional, but in a very good way.
Always a fave of ours. Food is outstanding and service is very good. Had a new server that stumbled a bit but all good. Amazing place that shouldn't be missed
Cozy small restaurant with delicious food. Bruschettes with avocado and roasted mushrooms were heavenly. The main entrees (risotto and bucatini) were superb as well. I took one star off because of the level of noise. Like most NYC places, it got pretty loud as the evening progressed. Overall, very nice spot if you are craving something tasty!
Excellent food and drinks, trendy vibe. Hard to get a reservation
Really wanted to like it, but went for brunch and got food poisoning from the shrimp polenta dish.
Nothing special. I had the tagliatelle. Small portion very little meat. Have had better many times. Overpriced glass of wine. Cocktail (frozen t,) had almost no alcohol. Gave the waiter 20% out of habit. Shouldn't have. Didn't check on us once after food was served and my water glass didn't get a single refill. Pass.
Interesting restaurant, you won't leave bored! I recommend the pasta.
Magnificent restaurant with some classic Italian dishes (carbonara) but covering some of the classics (bolognese). I went for the orecchiette with ragu but the fave was the octopus as an appetiser. It was just a great flavour tendered with the faba beans and well seasoned dressing. The chocolate truffle cake had the right amount of everything but generous on the chocolate as I love. Overall, a great option even though be prepared to get "smoky". If you have a chance, eat at the chefs bar side. Quite an experience.
Perfect date night spot in the WV!
Ambiance: 5 stars. The lighting, the cozy feel, the brick, the quaint feel - it's the perfect combo. Great for a date night.
Service: Excellent! Our waiter was kind and attentive but also allowed us to enjoy our meal without making us feel pressured to eat faster/leave sooner even though it was prime time on a Saturday night.
Food: The carbonara was perfection. The noodles were literally cooked just right. Other highlights included the chicken and the octopus. You can pass on the crostini and go for one of the larger small plates as a starter instead.
Friend of mine and I had a very nice dindin... Very crowded.. Apparently because they're closing in a couple of weeks due to rising costs of doing business in NYC (mainly $15 minimum wage coming in January is their last nail in the coffin)...
Nevertheless, we sat at the chef's counter watching them cook right in the front of us.. Awesome experience.. It's like watching sushi chefs whipping out amazing rolls!
We had octopus and marrow to start with, followed by a very light Carbonara and Bolognese pasta dishes and we finished off with Branzino and absolutely amazing duck!
Sad to see them close...
good food, good service, if you dont mind the loud atmosphere
Worst Itallian food I ve experienced in a while. So oily just terrible do not waste your time.
Really good pasta and other Italian food. I like to sit at the counter and watch the cooks prepare the food.
