Very solid, casual neighborhood Italian place. We love the pasta, panini, and stromboli. The salads are also great -- a variety of toppings, generous portions, tasty dressing options. The space inside and on the patio is fairly limited but we've always been able to get 2 to 4 people seated without much fuss. They do a quite of a bit of take-out service as well.
We had heard that they had a Chicago style deep dish pizza there, so we ordered one, and we were not disappointed. It was pretty authentic, very tasty, nice crust. We ordered over the phone, but decided to eat there. The place is nicer than the average pizza place, and they there have nice plates and real silverware. We 3 had our fill, and enough left over for another meal. It's the best pizza we've had since we moved to the area from Chicago 3 yrs ago.
Best pizza, best pasta, best marinara, best Italian food period. Eat it.
They have great garlic knots, and the best pizza in WNC.

Con - food was pretty bad (ex: meatballs in spaghetti were not browned, spaghetti on plate had not been drained, lasagna was pretty much only sauce/cheese, and garlic knots were super tough).
The best pizza and Italian in Asheville, period. I think there may have been some changes in the kitchen and i haven't been in recently, but i would bet its still the best, at least until cheesus crust returns.
I'm originally from Chicago, so I'm pressed to find a really really good pizza in this town, but Del Vecchios definitely gets my vote for one of the better ones in town. I finally got around to getting their Chicago style deep dish pizza, and it was the best I've had since being home.
Baked Ziti was horrible, Chicken Marsala was the absolute worst I have ever tried, the French Fries looked way better than they tasted, and although the Cheese Bread with the Spinach and Artichoke Spread was good, unfortunately the way they stuffed it into a small to go container by the time we arrived back to the hotel (less than 7 minutes) the bread was all mushy and stuck together. The only reason I am giving it two stars rather than one is because the staff definitely seemed overwhelmed and I would like to believe some other menu items are much better than these.

The Ziti al horno was horrible, the Marsala poll was the one that I had tasted in my life, the fried porridge was much better than what I knew, and even the bread pan with spinach and artichokes to anoint was good, unfortunately the shape and I put it in a container when we left the hotel (less than 7 minutes) and the pan was free and picked up. Absolutely unbelievable. Ordered through Postmates, waited 2 hours and our order was confirmed, and then the restaurant refused to give our pizza to the driver! Driver said they tore up receipt in front of him and said they don t deal with Postmates. Nope!!! I called Del Vecchios and spoke to a very nice man, but he absolutely refused to honor our order. If I could give zero stars I would.
Haven't tried anything I haven't liked. Their chips are great.
I ordered a roast beef panini with housemade chips. The roast beef was so tough I couldn't even get a bite to tear off. It was supposed to have horseradish on it, I couldn't smell it & due to the roast beef in the sandwich being so tough I couldn't get a bite to taste it. The housemade chips tasted strongly of over powering herbs or something. I paid after taxes close to $9.00 for this sandwich & ended up throwing the whole mess in the trash. What a disappointment!
I would not order from here ever again. Had a plate of spaghetti and chicken marsala. Neither one was worth the price. They both were sitting in a pool of dirty looking water. Very lacking in flavor. Next time I will go to taco bell instead of here.
I have been a fervent supporter and loyal customer for years and years now... but they have been slipping the past year, and after the final straw of yet another messed up delivery order and the decline of the food quality.. I can't recommend them and wont be using them again

Just ordered an 18 through DoorDash and it came fast, hot and is delicious! It s bigger than I expected and the flavors are awesome. Will order from them again!
Wonderful food. Small dinning area. Might be a wait if they are busy, however food is worth it.
