Always good. We drive 45 minutes to get there. Awesome!
I have loved and have eaten at Ho Ho Gourmet since they opened, well over 12 to 15 years
The buffet is wonderful and the service is outstanding
Stopped in to buy a order of chicken chow mein for my lunch. The lady said it would be 10 minutes or so for my order so I put it in. They were slow inside there s only a few ladies dining at a table on the west side of the dining room and two guys near the street so there was only five people in the restaurant there was one waiter and two girls were walking around in the as I got my order I walked out to my car I drove home and to my surprise there was no rice there was no noodles in the bag I became kind of concerned after opening up my order found out it wasn t even chicken chow mein at all it was chicken fried rice the girls behind the counter were too busy talking with each other to actually pay attention to the customer for this I give them one star and I will never return of the restaurant again!
Bad customer service. Lady was rude and gave a lot of attitude through the phone. Other than that, they have very good chicken wings.
Always friendly customer service. I compare all other Chinese restaurants to Ho ho. Ho ho always wins!. Also awesome buffet too! I recommend going to the buffet to get a sample of all their delicious dishes.
Not a huge buffet but what they have on the buffet is made delicious&fresh
Small buffet (1 line with 3 choices of main course) but good flavor.
Favorite place, the staff is gracious, efficient. And the food is sooo good!
Excellent, not a huge variety on buffet. I tried every item and each was excellent. I will be back.
Chinese buffets are usually about the same... they all get their food from the same distributor... it comes down to cleanliness for me. This place is very clean and has great staff.
Basic fresh repetitive americanized Chinese food..people working serving are good..owner not so.
Buffet is usually a good bet and the $ is a good value.
Great Chinese food at a good price! Buffet is a little small but everything on it is good quality!
They have great food and the employees are super nice
Great authentic cuisine with fast service. Good for a couple's date or to go to with a group as well. Dishes are big enough to split between several friends/family. Eggplant plate was great & the chicken soup was outstanding as well
Of you know Chinese/Vietnamese the service is the best. Also if you're Chinese/Vietnamese there is a secret menu that is NOT Americanized food.
Been going here since i was a kid. Always delicious. Buffet is small but is very good. Lo mein with the small noodle is awesome. Very friendly people. Same people from when i was a kid. Definitely worth going here
Traditional Cantonese. Lunch buffet is small, but vg quality
The second best chinese food place behind Mei Mei's in the Twin Cities. Their duck is a must but you have to order early as they run out of it quickly every night of the week.
Best chicken wings in the world! Always cater their wings for events and etc.
They advertise a buffet, which they then did not have. Food was just okay, not great. And the manager spent our whole meal either loudly talking on the phone or arguing with a takeout order customer. Would not return.
I have never been disappointed with any meal. They serve consistently great Chinese food. Their staff is always very friendly and helpful with questions or special dish requests. My favorite Chinese spot in the twin cities.
The food is more or less the buffet there are not many options there are no salads and fruits only one I did not like
My first experience was great! I was not really impressed with the beef dishes but my waitress was really friendly and great !!
My second experience didn't go so well. It was 630pm when my little family of 3 went in for dinner. The place was empty and everyone was seated a table away from each other. After sitting down, we waited for a good 2-3 minutes or so before our waitress brought out beverages ( water ). Instead of 3 cups, she only brought out 2. My son didn't get his own cup of water until another customers came and sat a table away from us. The other customers wasn't even in the restaurant for a good 5 minutes and they were served right away. Drinks and their order taken. Instead of asking us if we we're ready, she went to a table across from us and took their orders and then left. Mind you: She was constantly everywhere where it was difficult flagg her down and she was the only server.
After waiting 10 minutes, she finally came to our table. My husband order first and I order next. I asked what was in the beef stew hot pot as I was debating between the hot pot or hong kong beef. Instead of answering in a nice way trying to explain, she was more yelling stating that it's not your regular stir fry. It's beef stew. It's a SOUP! Not a beef dish. It got to the point where I said forget it, I will take the Hong Kong Beef.
At this time, another family of 3 was just seated as well. They were waiting as long as my family did. The server completely forgot all about them until one of their cell phone went off. She finally remember, apologize and did her best to make it up to them. That includes taking their orders and bringing out their food first. We order appetizers which we did not received and the other family of 3 order fried rice and it was brought out before our appetizers. We waited 2 minutes after their friend rice to received our appetizers. Not just that, she brought our appetizers to the wrong table and fussed when they told her they didn't order Cheese Puffs.
Overall, my table was the last one to received all of our food. The experience this time was not the greatest. When I saw that we we're not being served like everyone, I was thinking about leaving and go somewhere where my money will be more worth it. But because we already order, I stayed since I didn't want to be rude. Next time, I won't even bother staying.
It's Chinese buffet, you weren't expecting Gourmet food were you? That being said they are always keeping what's in the buffet fresh and the chicken wings are worth the trip.
Yum! The best Chinese buffet I ve been to. It s a smallish selection, but everything is amazing. The wings are perfectly crunchy breading and so delicious.
The reception lady need to chill. She is yelling at people and swearing in Chinese when she is angry.
The food is fresh and warm on buffet. It is a smaller buffet but everything you expect on buffet is there.
Generous portions reasonably priced. Outstanding buffet. To die for wings.
Does have a limited selection however everything they have tasted very good. Service was outstanding. Like I said limited but well worth the price! Definitely will return.
Excellent gourmet good, fast service and great hosts!
I can't say how much I love the chicken wings from this place. Its delicious and they make it very quick. I have a large family and Ho Ho wings is a main staple at our potluck gatherings. I also want to say how quick they make the wings. Two years ago, we were short on a dish for an important event and needed 500 wings in 15 minutes. I called Ho Ho to see if they could do this and they said, "yes." I was surprised and grateful they were able to meet our desperate need. I can't say how much I appreciate their fast quality food and service. Thank you!
Wait staff is great and attentive.
Prices are higher than average for A Chinese sit down.
Quick service during lunch rush, seated and had my food within 10 mins of stepping in the doors.
Buffet is all the most Americanized dishes on the menu.
The food started out delicious..then it went down hill after I bit on a nail from someone in the kitchen..that just tells me they are not wearing gloves.. not good..
Ordered veg fried rice and it had only rice and few carrot pieces. It was pricey and was asked extra for hot sauce. Not recommended for vegetarians.
I really wanted to like this place, it had such great reviews! I ordered cream cheese wontons, volcano chicken, firecracker beef, and shrimp lo mein. The only edible meal was the shrimp lo mein, everything else was way too oily and tasted bad. The chicken was BEYOND dry. We also found hair in one of the meals. Won't be going back. The noodles were good, and the place looked clean, that's why I gave them 2 stars.
I like the location, I like the building's decor, but I have to admit, I found the food lacking. It wasn't really bad, but I thought it was rather bland. They have quite a variety of food items to choose from, and normally I feel they would have earned a four star rating. But considering that I think their food isn't all that tasty, their prices are unusually high. For that, I felt they deserved three stars.
Generous portions for the price. Family owned, and you can tell they take pride in it!
Amazing every time! The service is the best, they always know who we are, what we order and make excellent recommendations. We have not been disappointed yet. Additionally, they are very clean, and take pride in their restaurant.
Great Chinese food. Usually get the buffet. Good service, clean and simple place. Don't go there for the decor, go there for the food!
Ho ho is the best Chinese restaurant here in Minnesota that I love to eat at I will not go nowhere else but here
Food was ok but NOT worth almost 15 dollars for dinner buffet.
Feels like a Chinese buffet inside a Perkins. Foods not too bad the wings are pretty darn good though.
Had their egg rolls, cheese wonton, beef lomein, general tsos, and fried rice. All were delicious and its our new go to takeout place!
Great food, large portions, great service and reasonably priced.
Wow. Went for the lunch buffet. Every item was of great quality. The service was lightning fast.
This is a must have if your looking for amazing Asian food on the east side of Saint Paul. Restaurant has been here for about 40 years or more. Food is amazing. Owners have perfected fried rice and lo mein. Plenty of people order specialty items off the menu regularly. Chicken wings are the best thing on the menu.
I came here on my anniversary with my husband and their food made me so sick. I asked for a refund. The lady told me in order to get a refund I had to come to the store so I did. Then she made a HUGE drama and started yelling at me. My husband and I tried to explain to her I got sick at 2am and we could not come right after. I won't be returning here ever again
Best Asian buffet in town. They also have a good regular menu. Everyone raves about their wings!
Been enjoying since I was a kid. Same quality 25 years later. Great staff, fair prices. Occasionally lines out the door for events like open houses and the super bowl to collect chicken wings, but always worth it. Thanks!
Very delicious food. I had the barbecue duck and it was wonderful! Great service as well. So glad it's so close to my house!
The food is the best, the servers are wonderful. I go there at least once a month sometimes twice..
All I ate was salt. Their food were so salty. Lo Mein was the only good thing.
Authentic Chinese cuisine...when they say spicy; they MEAN spicy.
I've been coming here for almost 25 years. it's my favorite restaurant! love it
Tiny, tiny lunch buffet. Think on the order of 3 main items. Totally not worth it
I tried the Pay Pa, Fantail Shrimp, and Mustard Greens and Tofu Soup. All very tasty. Be aware... the soup has pork strips (not in the description). Since it's Lent and I was expecting a non-meat dish, I had to pick through it. Not their fault, I should have asked. Also, no meatless options on the buffet today.
Great "old style" chow mein and Buddha Bean Curd. Fam loves the chicken wings for whatever batter they're using. The food tastes fresh and comes piping hot. Also it's a nice, clean place.
