I took my daughter to Africa with this company. From the minute they picked us up at the airport in a huge Offroad fully outfitted Land Cruiser, we knew it was the real deal. By the next day, huge giraffes had their head in our hotel window eating out of my daughters hand. I must admit the earth shattering sounds of Lions roaring in the middle of the night caused me just the slightest concern. But that was just what this trip was like. A real adventure in total comfort and safety. My daughter and I will never forget it!

The safari in Botswana that I booked through Deeper Africa was the trip of a lifetime! Karen and Wil are very hands-on owners who personally make sure that every detail is handled. They truly care that every customer has an exceptional experience that not only meets but exceeds expectations. They have spent years developing close personal relationships in Africa, and it makes all the difference. Our guide, David Foot, was unbelievably knowledgeable and also lots of fun. We had incredible up close encounters with wildlife and rarely saw other people. I highly recommend Deeper Africa.

Karen Zulauf is the least professional person I've ever had the displeasure of speaking with. I don't leave reviews, but she deserves one.
I would recommend that NO ONE contacts them. She cursed at me on the phone, called me incompetent, and chose to hang up on me when I apologized for not understanding.

I had the trip of a lifetime visiting the beautiful country of Uganda. All the accommodations were amazing. Our guide, Joseph, was the nicest and most knowledgeable person I could have ever hoped for. The lodging was exquisite. The wildlife was truly remarkable. I am anxious to explore more of Africa, and plan on using Deeper Africa in the future.

I took the trip of a lifetime to Uganda and Rwanda with Deeper Africa and could not have asked for a more perfect and professional experience. My trip was tailored exactly for me and the process was seamless from the planning to the execution. The guides were absolutely exceptional, the lodging and views were breathtaking and the wildlife viewing was better than I could have imagined.

I have known the founders of Deeper Africa for more than twenty years. I have booked two trips with them, one to Botswana and one to Uganda/Rwanda. both were superb, from the planning to the advance education to the guides to the choices of activities and lodging. I cannot give a higher recommendation and I am already planning the third trip and know that I will take more. I would not use another operator and I have confidently (and successfully) recommended Karen Zulauf and Deeper Africa to others who are interested in a first rate experience in Africa.

Great trips with people who really know what they are doing. The attention to detail is amazing and they actually care about the places they send you to. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
