Event was as always very good - staff were friendly and professional. Room was laid out nicely. Rooms were good except the shower only had one temperature, which was too hot, and the whole hotel was very warm.
Disappointed that the pool was unavailable when I stayed .
Very well maintained hotel - golf and facilities very high standard. Lovely bar with terrace providing great views of the course and hills beyond. Food reasonable value but drinks expensive.
The staff were very friendly and efficient, the food was first class. I Would recommend the hotel as a first class hotel. The golf course were challenging but on our visit was desperate for rain.
Great wedding venue rooms very good drinks a bit pricey
We stayed here for a birthday and went home more tired than when we first arrived. The room opposite decided to have a party at 4am, when the security guard arrived they argued with him for 30 minutes before leaving to go to their own rooms. 10 minutes later they returned and continued the party.
Really relaxing in the spa and when you get great weathe the Claret Jug terrace is a great spot for food.

Stayed in the Sutherland suite the night of my wedding. It was absolutely stunning, incredinin bath and shower, ginormous comfortable bed and brilliant spa facilities. We had a lot of luggage that all needed to leave the hotel at different times and this was handled fantastically. The staff were all very welcoming and very polite. I'd like to make special mention of Steven the concierge who helped us with our bags at least 6 times!
All in all couldn't have asked for a better place to spend my wedding night.
Went here for a work colleges wedding and it was amazing. Attention to detail was 100% and we were made so welcome.. next May is my 25th wedding anniversary and we will book for the weekend for sure.

The hotel was unclean radom marks on the bed. radom sounds going on at night as i was about to go the bed. bad service dirty plates.stay away
New Champneys spa now open. Love facilities. Still doing some outside work but pool and therapy areas all up an running. You can book online which makes things much easier.

A very nice hotel but contacting the hotel before arriving took over 50mins on hold on the automated queuing system before talking to a person. The customer service was average nothing special and that s being kind. Bar staff were busy talking not serving. Prices are very high but this hotel is very luxurious so to be expected. Would have been a 3 star review but for my wife who did enjoy the weekend very much.
Always a good course and despite all this cold and snow the greens are pretty good clubhouse food and beverages a bit expensive.

Always friendly here. We have been stopping for a coffee and a snack or lunch whilst out walking. We will book golf very soon. The Mottram Hall golf course is extremely well designed, a good test, especially the back nine.
Nice get together with friends spoiled by kids jumping in the pool, we ordered a bottle of Prosecco for 6 but it came with just 2 glasses! We had to wait ages at breakfast for our tea and coffee, when it finally arrived we had no milk!
Overall great night! Some parts of the complex were a little run down. Drinks at the bar were extremely expensive.

A beautiful hotel set in beautiful countryside. Had a lovely relaxing stay, using the spa facilities. Very comfortable room, gorgeous breakfast.
Over crowded in the pool area so we couldn't get in the outdoor hot tub or steam room. Also had to wait for beds. Treatments were spot on.
Ordered a bottle of wine with dinner and they plonked it on the bar with the lid on and gave 2 odd glasses. Just got the feeling they don't really care about guest experience, just get them in and get them out. Won't go again

Breakfast buffet was good but first we got allocated a room overlooking the car park even though we had spoke to them a few days earlier and they had said we had a room overlooking the golf course. Also there were very loud weddings that kept us up all night until about 3. Also, a minor point was that the key cards kept stopping working.
Just joined the gym, not too expensive but it keeps the riff-raff out...
Booked the spa break deal, the spa itself was a pleasurable experience but the hotels poor attempt at hospitality was nothing more than shocking with excessively long waits for food and terrible service. I have never been anywhere where the staff are as abrupt or rude to a paying customer. Definitely not somewhere I would recommend and I don t know how they got their 4 star rating
Stayed in the Spencer Suite. Lovely comfortable room with everything I needed. Staff very polite and friendly without being overly so. One night stay wasn't enough.
I took my wife here for our 4th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. It was nice to get a personal greeting and congratulations at breakfast from the restaurant manager. The spa facility is fantastic, we both had a massage (deep tisue massage from Tom is highly reccomended) and spent most of the day by the pool or in the steam room. The hotel itself is immaculate, and very peacful. The staff are friendly, the bar is well stocked and the restaurant is of the highest quality (we had steak). We will definitely be returning for another relaxing getaway.
So unorganized!! They booked us in for lunch on Sunday instead of Monday. Then our names weren't on the computer for our evening meal . Booked a 50 minute spa treatment for Sunday but only got 25 as 3 staff rang in sick ( although 1 of the other therapists said it was 7 ) ?! Asked in the restaurant where were we eating lunch they didn't know so asked at the spa they didn't know either ! We use this chain of hotels quite regularly and dont think we'll be rushing back here. Shout out to Reagan tho in The Claret Jug such a nice guy .
I recently stayed at Mottram Hall for the first time. It has lovely grounds and is a very large grand building. Being so big it is clear it is in some need of a general makeover internally. The window catch in our bedroom was swinging with a screw missing. (280) The room was rather warm and the window was restricted so we could not cool the bedroom down although there was a fan in the wardrobe to use. Breakfast was nice apart from the mouldy bread I discovered. After making staff aware a new loaf was brought out and that was also mouldy. Not what I expected of a place like Mottram Hall. This did spoil my experience somewhat and staff apologised for this. Don't think I will stop again.

The venue was beautiful. The room was very nice, a bit warm but spacious and the bed was comfortable. Food was pretty good for a wedding event and the staff was generally attentive. We had a great time and the pool and spa were very good too.
Lovely building but treatments very expensive for what you get. Same with food.

Hotel room was good but the sauna floors dirty and not clean, floors outside by the Jacuzzi not cleaned regular enough, there is a ceiling fan in one sauna that had fixing bolts missing that I reported as could be dangerous but on my second visit two or three months later they had not done it or cleaned the floors as obvious dust and general floor dirt was still visible, good job they do special deals.

Had my wedding here in Aug 2019, and it couldn't have been more special. Staff were brilliant throughout the whole process. I have visited loads of other times before and since and always had a fantastic stay and had lovely food.

I attended a professional function at Mottram Hall. The decor was nice from what I saw, and the food provided was excellent. Very nice grounds and would make an excellent venue for a wedding reception.
Was here for a works function, very nice place. Staff were very friendly and quick to help if needed
