WIFI is weak. Avoid Sandcastle Inn if you need to stay in touch with your work through the internet. Wifi signal is extremely weak an unreliable. To send out a time-sensitive, mission-critical work email, I had to do it on my phone, then walk around several blocks until I got a strong enough cell signal for it to transmit. Several attempt to send it from my laptop or phone during the night failed to transmit due to inadequate signal, either wifi or cell, in the motel. I went to the front desk early in the morning to ask where the wifi router was located so I could attempt to send an email standing next to the router. The person at the front desk had no clue even where the router was located, and could not get anyone of the phone who knew anything.

Also, the "continental breakfast" in the lobby is not what you may expect based on stays in places like Holiday Inn Express, La Quinta, etc. It consists of a few sweet rolls, dry cereal, coffee and juice. Plan to go out for breakfast.

The wifi is barely adequate to check emails and social media accounts though even those do not download quickly, fully or easily. If all you want is a cheap place to stay at the beach, and have zero concerns about taking care of business back home, the Sandcastle Inn is minimally adequate. If you need to maintain online contact with work responsibilities, avoid this like the plague.

The staff are friendly and quick to suit your needs, rooms were clean with the exception to the floors which were covered in dirt. Even after having them cleaned again they were still dirty

Meh. Stopped here late night due to vacancy. Was in a front room which he stated was remodeled. Guy checking us in was super nice.

Room looked OK. Smelled musty. Bathroom was clean. Room was modern. Linens weren t white as they should have been and felt damp. A bit tingy and some stains on the sides. Ugh. Woke up and the entire floor was wet! Not damp but WET from moisture. All my items were damp.

It was walking distance to the beach which was the only perk and why we were visiting. Definitely not worth the rate we paid compared to similar places. Slept comfortably which was of most important at the time. Wouldn t recommend unless they lower the rate and fixed the huge moisture problem.

I like the hotel compare to Dunes Inn and Admirals Inn because it's clean, updated and do have friendly staff. Admirals Inn the floor is old, damp down the hallway and they served cold breakfast. Dunes Inn is ok, but costly. I would perfer Castle over those hotels.

We stayed 2 nights and the location is excellent and friendly staff but the beds are HARD AS A ROCK in room 206, I'm sure all are the same and the pool was closed the whole time we were their. Very Clean rooms also but those beds were HORRIBLE.

Close to the beach, kid friendly, and the staff was very nice to us. I read other reviews saying it was dirty but the maid swept & mopped our room and changed the sheets. Only thing the mini fridge didn't work too well.

I spent one night several weeks ago. I was awake all night long because other people were arguing literally the entire night and the hotel staff did nothing. It was the worst night I ever spent in any hotel and I travel extensively in business. The room itself was old and had a bad odor. It smelled moldy and damp. I would not recommend this hotel

For some reason this hotel does not supply enough hot water for its guests. The water was not luke warm, it was COLD! The staff claimed they have never recieved a complaint about the water before and attempted to make out like I was lying to get a refund. I have never asked for a refund from a hotel before and I have seen other reviews complaining about the water. If the water had been luke warm and tolerable I might not have requested a refund or some sort of compensation. A guest pretty much pays for two things at a hotel, a decent bed and a decent shower. For $197 a night plus taxes you should definitely get both. I love my hot morning showers and having to start my day off in ice cold water put me in a foul mood. Also, shaving your legs in cold water is almost pointless. The hair was growing back as fast as I could shave it. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the beds were decent and the location was great.

We stayed two nights 4th of July weekend. Very nice front desk. Melinda was very helpful. The room was very clean. We could walk to everything. It was just what we needed for the price. I will definitely stay there again.
