Room was clean-refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker included. Very close to the beach and the rates are affordable. The staff was extremely friendly! The rooms could probably use some updates and the tv in our room didn't work correctly but overall this hotel is a great value and we will definitely come back again!

MY husband and I stayed here for our anniversary on May 8 and 9 2015. The rooms were clean, the staff was very nice, and the hotel was the perfect location. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I agree they should step up their breakfast, it was juice, Danish and cereal. I Will Be Back!!

What can I say? Overpriced for what it is. Some of the employees were pretty rude. Absolutely not enough parking to accommodate their guests. They say they offer free wifi but the past 2 times I've been I couldn't connect and they said they'd "have maintenance" look into it. You can do better on the island for cheaper

If all you want is a convenient place near the beach, then you won't be disappointed.
Otherwise, this hotel is pretty nasty, especially the upper/lower walkways & stairways which need refurbishing.
The rooms smelled a little funky and the bed pillows were worn out.
Also, we were awakened a few times by cursing and hollering in the parking lot..... real class!

Spend a little more money & rent a condo or bed & breakfast... you get what you pay for!

The staff was beyond wonderful and helpful. The room corresponded with the star rating. When we come back, we will definitely stay here again. Couldn't ask for more.

We stayed the first weekend of November and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean (recently remodeled) and the staff were very friendly. Within walking distance to the beach, dining, and shopping. Great value and would stay here again.

Clean. Average room. Parking on SATURDAY night was hard to find. Hot water was hit or miss. On Monday morn there was no hot water. Good breakfast selection.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Great rate and close to the beach. Floor and bed skirts were dirty. No breakfast due to Covid.

We have stayed here for the last 3yrs. It's a clean hotel not far from the beach. Office staff are great people.

Location,location location this the best thing this hotel can offer. Rooms were fine but microwave did not work. Room service was subpar, front desk was very nice. Pool was nice.

Meh. Nothing special. Front desk was very nice though. Continental breakfast was literally two kinds of cereal from a dispenser, 2 juices, dried up pastries, and your milk comes from a shared jug. The room was alright. It was clean. Nice size refrigerator. The sink would not drain and smelled like sewage. The shower floor was slippery. It had no grips. Good location. Pool is salt water which is gross. Over all, I would opt to go to another hotel the next time I come.

Simple rooms, close to the beach. Very basic rooms, but for the price you can t beat the location! You won t have to pay to park since you can walk to the beach.

I really would like to give it a 5 star but I just can t. Service was great. Staff was super nice! But our room was dirty. It was well, nasty! Room service was not good either. When we came back to our room we still had dirty towels and beds where not made. Location was awesome! Price very good! Pet friendly!

Had a terrific time, great vacation super close to the beach but what made the difference was the incredible staff there! I truly mean they will go above and beyond to help make your stay as pleasant an experience as you could possibly imagine. Patty even though incredibly beautiful was just as polite as she was stunning.
Jim was as friendly and a great source of information of the island one great guy.
Melinda was also A very friendly and a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend the sandcastle inn to everyone looking for the best hospitality on the island. Will definitely return and all the staff should be recognized but these are the ones that had the most impact on us staying here longer and looking forward to returning when we can afford to stay a few more nights through the week. Great people.

Drive a small car. No parking for biog trucks. Otherwise was a great place.

The overall experience here was underwhelming. My boyfriend and I went on vacation with a group of our friends and got a hotel room at the Sandcastle Inn. Both days we stayed there was not enough parking in the parking lot to accommodate all the guys that were staying there. There are no fire sprinklers in the rooms that I saw. We paid over $500 for 2 days for a motel room that had no parking and forced us to pay for parking, no breakfast served, an unhelpful staff. I would not recommend going here.

The food was delicious and the drinks were real, I really enjoyed.

Booked a room last minute on our trip. If your looking to just stay a night or two. This is it. Its very close to the beach and a short walk. Closes to the pier. The staff were very friendly. Registering and checking in and out was very easy and simple. Not the best looking motel but a place to rest and sleep for a night or two. There's a small pool on the side of the building and thats a plus but didn't get the chance to dip in the pool. Price was a bit high for just 2 but it was memorial weekend.

The rooms were clean and the staff at the front desk was really nice we didn't have mask and the women gave us four from her own just so we could go to savannah for the day were they were mandatory i stay here again really good deal for the location

This place was very dirty, dog pee in about 5 places on the floor, the sheets were stained and big stains on the bed spread and pillows, fridge nasty, I gave it one star for the person at the front desk who brought us some clean sheets for my mom to put on the bed, so that we could at least lay down for the night since there wasn't any vacancies whatsoever on the island. And I was given a refund for the following night so that we didn't have to spend another night there.

Small room, lumpy stiff beds, can hear through floors if heavy stepping or running. Nice floors, backsplash, and mini fridge.

Food average. Bathroom was disgusting. If they can't clean the bathroom, imagine how bad the kitchen is.

The pictures you see online it is not what you see when you get there, and I booked my room I said I will check in at 12pm when I get there the lady told me not until 3pm but another lady check me in around 2:30pm.

Do not stay at this hotel!! We went the whole time without any hot water and told the office and the lady said she would send maintenance but never asked our room number so we had to complain again they finally fixed it the last day of our stay. The maintenance guy was awesome. And the manager yelled at the maid in front of us because another customer had asked her for help and told her to get back to work, I have never been anywhere where the manager yells at their employees for providing good customer service. Also, the pool was green and smelled and then they closed it for 2 days after and when we asked for a discount they refused. We were going to rent a house but decided to stay here for the pool which we were unable to use for our entire stay! The lady in the office was rude and we are VERY unhappy with our vacation experience. Also, they offered "breakfast" in which they had no juice got mad when asked for more coffee, were out of creamer and the breakfast really wasn't what we expected. We will not be returning to this hotel.

Front desk staff was friendly. The room was nicely decorated but it was quite a bit smaller than expected. I feel like the bathroom could have been cleaner. The microwave worked but not well. I feel like we did not get what we paid for. If anything, I paid for the convenience. The beach and other stores were within 5 minutes or less walking distance. The pool was decent but the water was cloudy. Not a bad hotel but I don't think we'll be staying there again.

So many bad reviews!! I and my partners had an awesome experience. The staff was friendly and was quick to attend to our needs. The room was clean. Yes we had sand in the floor but the housekeepers swept mopped and attended our room daily. The pool was clean no bugs. I gave them 4 s because nobody's perfect but they were close.

Great location. We can walk to the beach. Seafood restaurants and convenience store are nearby. Room is clean. There is a pool and breakfast area. Although we wish there's more options for breakfast , we love the yogurt. Front desk lady is friendly!

A quaint little place located right next to the beach

It's just a very basic motel. But the staff (all the staff but mostly Gray the night clerk) went above and beyond. We will be back

Booked this hotel last minute. It was good. You can walk to beach.

I have stayed here at least once a year for thirteen years. It is not a Weston, not a Hilton, but my room has always been clean, people who run the place super nice. Folks who want a fancy place should stay in Savannah and pay $300+ a night. Tybee Island is not Daytona or Miami.

I totally understand COVID is playing a big issue on a lot of things right now. I received a email on my way to Tybee, stating they where looking forward to seeing us and this was the balance that would be taken out of my account when i check in. Nothing about they had made any changes to our stay due to COVID. When i got there they handed me a piece of paper stating due to COVID they would not be serving continental breakfast and they would not be cleaning our room daily, and for clean linen we could come and pickup at the front office. If i had been told all the way around before i got there - I think i could have handle better. And I could also have stopped and picked up some breakfast items. The room could have been cleaner all the way around. Blow dryer would only work if you held it in the plug. No alarm clock and you could not set the clock on the microwave. The parking was awful, sometimes you could not even find parking near your room. When i tried to talk to the lady about my issues and concerns at the front desk (blond with a hot pink mask on) - she just smiled and said I'm sorry. Can I help the next person. Just was not impressed at all and they did not seem to care.

I stayed here got eaten alive by bed bugs. And when I went to the front desk to tell them, they were rude, and the lady at the front desk called the owner and I talked to her she called the police on me and my buddy. I was a little mean, because she got pissed when I asked for a refund. but the cops took our ID's tore our beds apart (like they were expert bed bug finders) and left it like that. It's kind of a small town, every body knows every body type place and I feel like the cops were covering the hotels ass but I definately got eaten up them.Don't stay here. Nasty

The staff was very nice, and that is what the 1 star is for. Our room was $200 and it was disgusting. The room stayed wet the entire time. The bed sheets were moist, the floor , the air everything. The room wasn't dirty but for $200 it was not as expected, close beach access so that was nice. The pool area was not attractive, so if you are just looking for a place to keep your stuff while you are out and about, itll do.

It was a decent room, very similar to a red roof. Had a mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer, etc. Water pressure was amazing and it was very close to the beach. We paid a little under 75 dollars at the time. My biggest problem (and it has nothing to do with the hotel) is that there is nothing around this hotel except the beach. If you want ice cream, food, Walmart. You have to make that 20 minute drive back to the main land. We honestly spent more time at the beach the day before and the night we got the hotel we spent more time downtown. I'd recommend getting something on the main land. It'll not only be cheaper but you'll have everything within a few minutes. Just my 2 cents. Everything else was spot on and service was great.

Comfortable place to stay for overnight. Just a little high priced for the accommodations you receive.

Beds were not made, trash all over the floor. Dirty facility. Terrible staff. Poor excuse for breakfast. No parking accommodations--less spaces than there are rooms! Also no outlets available on bedside for phone, etc. You have to move the table out and unplug the lamps to charge your phone. Location is the only thing going for this place.

Bathrooms are super small, like you have to get in the shower to close the door small. Half the staff is friendly but the other half not so much. Close to the beach with no streets to cross but the parking lot gets tight on the weekends. Room is fine and I think it is being updated.

Service was great. We came here to spend time with family at the beach! We actually brought our dogs and left the dnd sign up. This motel served its purpose and we had a great time in Tybee!

The rooms and beds were small. The walls were thin, you could hear everything going on outside. The location to the beach was the only thing useful.

It was ok. Nothing spectacular, but good enough for somewhere to sleep. We only spent enough time in the room to go to sleep.

The hotel is a little dated but the bed was super comfortable. Housekeeping was very accommodating with us since we were being lazy. Don't expect amenities tho. You get shampoo no conditioner, no lotion, no gym but you do get a mini fridge and a microwave.

The rooms were spacious enough and moderately clean but towels and such were not replenished daily. You had to go ask. I thinks things run a little more casually on the island.

The beds were uncomfortable and there was a dead spider in the shower

Service was good only complaint asked for fresh towels twice.....had to give get them myself. Location for the price is awesome!!!

House keepers never came to change out towels get trash change sheets or anything. I will say if you are on a budget the prices are right but you will get what you paid for a room with no service

It was a nice and clean environment. 3 mins away from beach. I enjoyed my stay!

The food is good if you going down there make sure you book online they don't care if what you see online

Rooms are small and not very clean. I will spend the extra money next time and get a better room.
