The worst estate agents EVER!! Unprofessional, unorganised and a complete waste of time. Choose another agent if you wish to avoid heartache, misery, losing money and loss of hair (from tearing it out having to deal with utter incompetence)
I say this with experience and will never deal with this company again. They get 1star because i couldn't give zero.

Awful estate agent. Worst one we've dealt with in Newport. If you want to view a house it's impossible unless you can make a tiny window. We tried to contact about a house and no one got back to us. When we did eventually get hold of someone we were told they would be at the house on Wednesday afternoon and if we couldn't make that time then tough, we would only be able to view it if no one made an offer that day. Could understand if it was an open day but that was not the case. This also happened with a house we wanted to view earlier in the year. Not a nice way to operate really. The house was also vacant so access wasn't an issue. Myself and husband both work in the NHS so are unable to take time off at short notice but we were able to view the house the following day but they wouldn't even consider letting us book for that day even though they had spaces available! Not recommended and personally will avoid trying to view a house with them in the future

Davis & Sons completely wasted my time and money t...

Davis & Sons completely wasted my time and money travelling today. They made no contact to inform me of tenants not letting them in, saying that the agent was refused entry. Little did they know I was parked directly outside the entrance 30mins before the viewing and I ve seen no one enter or leave. Apparently, all Davis & Sons can do is apologise . Shocking!!

Oh! Where do I begin? I agree with other comments about rude staff, I always seem to be a inconvenience to them. The list of maintenance issues I gave them over 2 yes ago has still not been addressed. They too claim never to receive any of the countless emails I sent. I've had to pay myself to replace broken locks etc to ensure the safety of the property. Current issue? Phone continuously goes to voicemail. I'm a single parent needing emergecy help and there's no one to speak to. Property has just flooded for the 2nd time in 2 years. They failed to report this property as high risk. I honestly wish I had never rented with them. Biggest mistake ever!

I've had the displeasure of rentong fron this company. Davies and sons will fail inspections for absolutely ridiculous reasons. I literally failed an inspection for having a crumb on the stove! There was also an incident when davies and sons decided to let themselves intobthe property without providing an notice. During the move out i was assured that the list of repairs and who responsibility it would be to put them right would be done by an independent company. What actual happened was that the landlord put the list together himself then passed them onto davies and sons to give me, no independent process at all. Davies and sons is definitely wasn't a neutral party and was very much on the side of the landlord. If you're a renter i would not recommend this company.

A very disappointing experience this morning. I found a certain member of staff to be very rude during a phone call. We were not notified about a roofer coming to the property. Although I was told I had been notified last Friday. I was given a 15 minute warning today.

We have had an horrendous weekend with our daughter being taken very ill, resulting in a hospital stay. I wasn't offered any consideration or empathy, just made to feel like an inconvenience for not being home.

It is unbelievable to me how people are allowed to work in a profession dealing with customers on a daily basis with no personal skills.

Very, very disappointing Davis and sons.

We have tried contacting the agent to arrange view...

We have tried contacting the agent to arrange viewings of 2 properties they have on the market. We have tried to contact them by email/phone and through rightmove and have yet to receive a response. I would like to think it was the pandemic that is causing issues but all other agents we have arranged viewings through have got back to us within 24hrs (even if it is to say they can t arrange a viewing at the moment). It has been 2 months since we first contacted Davis and Sons and we still haven t had a response. We feel the need to approach the vendors ourselves and explain we ve had to do this through lack of response from the agent.

Sold my house through Davis and sons. First class service from response time from initial contact, to the quality pictures being taken, to it going on the market. Had interest almost immediately and house sold after first viewing. Great communication throughout would definitely recommend.

Initially I did wonder how my house sale was going...

Initially I did wonder how my house sale was going to pan out with Davis & Sons. I had mixed feelings but then had to accept that during a pandemic and a lockdown that no company can operate normally.Some people need to adjust their expectations and stop the keyboard warrior approach!

There was the odd hiccup here and there but I will have to speak as I find here and admit I've been treated well here by the staff and Melanie who has been my point of contact.

I was allowed two viewings to my proposed purchase property. Calls and emails were replied to and information was given, taken and relayed to all involved. It has taken months to get close to buying a property but this is down to lockdown and the seller's abysmal solicitor.

Customer service is great, have been dealing with Diane who is lovely. Only thing I'll say is there should be more communication between vendors and the agents as we had three consecutive viewings cancelled which was very frustrating.

Really disappointed by my experience with this age...

Really disappointed by my experience with this agent. Had a viewing booked for a rental property and shared the viewing time with five other groups of people who had all been booked to see it too (without being told about this) - then had a very unpleasant experience in the shop with rude staff who do not seem at all interested in helping out with anything. I had to chase them up for information that I requested. Would not recommend!

No communication, dreadful service.
Myself and my partner had a viewing booked for yesterday (12/08/2020) at 14:10, we were told there was one group before us that day, and that they only did viewings on wednesdays.
14:10 came, and the group before us were still waiting for someone from the estate agents to show up. We called up to see where they were, and they told us that someone had already taken the house. Three groups traveled to that house yesterday to view it, none of us were told not to show up, we all travelled there as normal expecting to see the house. When could this house have gone if they only did viewings on wednesday?? I recommend avoiding this unprofessional business.

One of the worst estate agents I've come across. I would honestly tell people not to bother. I notice another review had same problems as I did. Some of the staff need training on customer service and how to speak to people.

Totally taken back by the lack of professionalism....

Totally taken back by the lack of professionalism. I was lied to on several occasions when the agents told me about a 'block viewing' happening in a few days exaggerating the interest in the property.
They do not respond to emails and are extremely rude on the telephone (when you finally get hold of someone).

Davis and sons are one of the better letting agent...

Davis and sons are one of the better letting agents I've dealt with. They deal with things promptly and are fair and understanding. We also have a very good landlady which also helps maintain good relations between all parties. Glad we found a good agent as the majority in my experience are shockingly bad.

Unprofessional staff. When I see a property for sale with this particular agent I know it s not going to be a pleasant experience. They don t have time to show you properties , they don t have any customer service skills or how to deal with public, and most of all they don t like selling houses. Also they never call back when promised regards to viewings. Please don t sell your properties with Davies and co. They re such a hard agent to deal with. You will find it a struggle selling your home with these lot and miss out on your dream home and their customer service is unimaginably painful

Literally the worst estate agents I ve ever dealt with in my life. The rudest staff in the world, and haven t got a clue what they are doing. Claimed to have not received emails that have been sent, lie about itinerary, and don t want to do anything to help you. Havnt even got emergency numbers on their phone line to call, and didn t even inform us that they were closing out local branch and that the rent needed to paid to a different account. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Total cowboys !!!!

All the Staff at Davis & Sons have been so helpful in advertising and trying to sell my property. Their friendly expert advice, patients and support was superb with a really personal touch. What a great Estate Agent and team of individuals I would highly reccomend them.

They don't even deserve the one star... Very unpro...

They don't even deserve the one star... Very unprofessional and rude staff.... As a landlord with them I was left chasing them constantly for information... When I actually left last week they didn't even ask to see my landlord licence (which by law they have to), they are an absolute joke of a business very unhappy with their service
