Visited on St Patrick's Day. The place was packed, of course, but our wait wasn't actually that long. The service here is great even when packed out. And the food is fantastic. I ordered the lamb burger, and it was one of the most flavorful burgers I've ever had. Our waiter timed everything perfectly. We immensely enjoyed coming here.
Also it's way bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside.

Excellent place to visit on Wednesdays for traditional Irish music. Less appealing on weekends when it turns into a poor imitation of a night club for whatever reason. The strip club music vibe sadly does not do justice to the surroundings.

Some of the best wings I've had. They were roasted and had the restaurant's homemade hot sauce. Full, but the food came out quickly and staff was friendly. The only disappointing part of the visit was that a bouncer and hostess perched on the third floor, looking down to the main area, and were basically sitting on one of our guests.

We enjoyed this place. We had the appetizer sampler. It was okay. We did not care for the fried boiled eggs, but the rest was good. Service was good. Decor was nice. I would recommend this place.

I ordered the Shepard Pie. For $16 I expected much more. The taste was OK, but the size was quite small. Three people in my party ordered this, and all of us left still hungry. The seating was very cramped, and the bench we sat on was very narrow. Once the live band started up, it was so loud that we started doing pretend sign language since we couldn't hear anyone in our party, at all. The service was terrible! We rarely saw our waitress, and I was very tempted to leave without paying because she brought us our checks and didn't come back for 10 minutes to pick them up. Just plain terrible service. Meanwhile we had to sit without talking to each other because the band was so loud. It was not fun. We also heard others complaining about the service, so that should tell you something.

Went here due to Southside being full for happy hour, and regretted it. Two stars for us actually getting our food and drinks, another for having happy hour through out the bar. Terrible service, waiter did not check up on us and the bar wasn t even full. Typical Irish bar food, nothing special.

Ate here with our 3 kiddos for brunch. They enjoyed their meals and so did I. Tight spaces but fast service and good food. If i weren't driving I would of had a beer or 2. Good hang out spot from what it looked like.

Bad service. I got a salad that was 17 dollars and it was the smallest and worst tasting salad I've had in a while. I think this place is a good spot for drinks but don't come here for an actual dinner because you won't enjoy it.

This place is just great. I'm fairly picky, and the folks here are always willing to accommodate my crazy requests. Like swapping the biscuits out for mashed potatoes with the Eggs Benedict. And the food is amazing. And the drinks are great.

We came for ambiance, beers and apps, and that was great. We recommend the mussels with extra bread and the scotch eggs. The service was good... he was polite and got our orders correct. He seemed to be working a large section of the restaurant alone so we waited around with no drinks or food for a bit too long. We probably would have stayed longer otherwise.

Located on a busy street in Old Town Alexandria, this bar is prime real estate. I got there around 9:15 PM and it was already started to get packed! This bar boasts 3 levels, with a bar top at each level, which is nice as it starts getting busier. All bartenders I've encountered have provided me with good service, so that's a plus. There is a band that sets up around 10pm. I am not sure if they only do weekends or weekdays as well. Speaking of bands, when live music isn't available the establishment does play recent-ish music of all kinds. I like that they dont play their music too loud so you can hear the person you are with.

The lady's restroom was a kept up, if that matters a lot to you (it does to me). Drinks were good. I'll have to visit for the food in the future.

Crowd is probably mid/late twenties and up. Leaning more towards the up.

Lively bar with plenty of seating inside, and slightly quieter areas out front and on a roof terrace. Superb English style pub food with a bit of a US twist. Fast and friendly service. We had a great time!

This place is hella over priced. 15 dollars for a car bomb? In Virginia?? Terrible. The only saving grace was the patio. The Bartender I saw water down someone's drink, she thought no ojensaw her but I did. That makes no sense. Door staff was nice, but The bar staff was bad at best, and your prices make no sense. I'll probably never go back.

This restaurant is just awesome! It s always wuite crowded but if you have ever eaten there you will know why everyone wants to eat there! I normally hate Fish and Chips because normally the fish is just pressed low quality fish with a lot of breading. Daniel O Connell s Fish and Chip in contrast is a huge piece of cod where you can see that it s a whole filet! It is awesome!! Best Fish and Chips I ve ever had. Also the lamb burger are great as well as the Shepards Pie . Love it! We always try to sit near the fireplace because it s sooo cozy!

Friendly staff, very accommodating; aesthetically a dream of a dignified, old-fashioned Irish pub; and the menu is thoughtful, with your usual pub grub (as you'd find it in Irish American bars) with some nice additions like Scotch Egg and Irish Egg Rolls (stuffed with corned beef and cabbage).

Classic Irish Pub. Been here many times over the past few years. The menu has changed a few times, but at the current time offers many Pub Classics and variations on classics. Definitely worth a look.

Corned beef and cabbage egg rolls! OMG! They were incredible. (a seasonal offering I'll have to get again next spring) The Irish stew was very good. My husband and son ordered sandwiches which they enjoyed.
