I know the folks at DH Cook work hard to get us our benefits. Us old timers have to get used to doing everything online as reaching companies by phone is increasingly difficult. I am a local 1180 retiree with dental benefits. Thanks.

The insurance itself is horrible because many (sole/individual) providers DO NOT take it. Most of the ones that do are located in multi-office dwellings where you will wait 2-5 hours to see a provider (even WITH an appointment).

The representatives I've spoke w/on the dental side have been knowledgeable + helpful. Yes, there might be instances where you will be on hold for awhile. But for the most part, I've have a good experience with the reps.

I HATE the insurance though - heck, I thought DC37 Dental was the worst....
The payment structure HAS to be better

A total fraud! They automatically deduct thousands of dollars from your account and nothing is ever covered!! Impossible to contact anyone to discuss coverage or benefits. This is my first time ever writing a bad review but everyone needs to be forewarned!

The third day trying to pay my premium. More than an hour on the phone and spoke with 7 representatives before one could help. Cannot understand how Cook stays in business. God help me if I have to call about a claim.

I am a new person who has Daniel H. Cook's Cigna insurance. I had a lot of questions and was referred to their employee Tobi Bergun. She was extremely helpful, and very professional. She explained all my benefits with patience and great knowledge. I highly recommend this insurance to anyone looking for medical benefits.

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST... THE ABSOLUTE WORST! ...

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST... THE ABSOLUTE WORST! IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THEM TO PAY A CLAIM. GOOD LUCK GETTING THEM ON THE PHONE UNLESS YOU HAVE 30 MINUTES TO AN HOUR. THEN WHEN YOU GET THEM ON THE PHONE YOU'LL BE FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED. I PAY 1000 PER MONTH AND IT IS WORTHLESS FOR A PPO!!! WORTHLESS!!!! THEY DONT PAY, LOOK FOR EVERY EXCUSE TO NOT PAY... AND WILL LOOK FOR EVERY EXCUSE TO PASS THE BUCK. WISH I COULD DO ZERO STARS....

On line provider portal does not allow you to login. Customer services
does not answer calls and leaves you holding for 45 minutes and still
does not answer. When you try to leave a voice mail for their claims department, the voice mailbox is full. Terrible service !!!!

This company is a terrible insurance company. I took my extremely ill child to the doctor, they sent us over to the lab at a large hospital in my town for necessary lab work, that was extremely important to rule out a very bad illness. Upon arrival -I was informed the hospital did not accept Daniel H Cook insurance anymore, b/c they were difficult to work with. I called the insurance company and was on hold for 25minutes, I was told I would have to take my extremely ill child off site to a lab to get the tests and be in network. I paid out of pocket which in the end would be a better price than having the fees put towards my extremely high deductible. The next day I took my extremely ill child to Quest lab, the facility in network and recommended by Daniel H Cook. After waiting 25 minutes in the room w/ sick coughing people, I was informed the test Daniel H Cook told me to get, was not offered at this lab, and was told by the lab this was done in the doctors office, the doctors office said they did not offer this test in their office, and that is why I was sent over to the lab @ the hospital. I called the insurance company, again on hold for 25 minutes, the uneducated, empathy lacking employee, told me that I would have to go to a different lab until I found one that would administer this test and that for a chest xray I would have to find a different facility altogether. Who has the time- when a child is sick to be running him all over town? I also asked about the costs of these tests. I was told to get the tax ID number and about five other pieces of financial information from the specific office and then call Cigna for pricing b/c Daniel H Cook did not have that information. I am switching to a different insurance company immediately. This company has no interest in helping its members when they are at their most vulnerable. I am only giving them one star b/c I have no choice. This company should be ashamed of themselves for the manner in which they conduct business. I am writing this review to save other people the time and stress that dealing w/ this company entails.

THE WORST SCAM OF THE INSURANCE. DOESN'T COVER ANYTHING. BETTER OFF NOT HAVING THEM AT ALL AND NEGOTIATE CASH PAYMENTS WITH THE PROVIDERS. YOU WILL SAVE MORE MONEY. IN ADDITION, EXTREMELY RUDE CUSTOMER CARE WON'T HELP YOU RESOLVE ANY OF THE ISSUES. IN ADDITION TO PAYING THEIR EXURBERANT PREMIUMS AND MEETING THEIR ENORMOUS DEDUCTIBLE, I ENDED PAYING THE BALANCES TO EVERY SINGLE PROVIDER AT MUCH HIGHER RATE SINCE I WENT IN UNDER INSURANCE COVERAGE. HAD I USED THE MONEY FROM PREMIUMS AND DEDUCTIBLE TO PAY STRAIGHT OUT AT DISCOUNTED RATES FROM THE PROVIDERS, I WOULD HAVE SAVED MORE MONEY. THANK YOU PRES. OBAMA FOR THE MESS YOU LEFT US IN
